selfshipping with alhaitham is genuinely hilarious to me and it’s the greatest thing ever!!

i’m a very quiet person with severe social anxiety who enjoys the silence and the peacefulness of it. alhaitham is quiet too and we often bask in it together, both parties entirely content.

one day, alhaitham decides he doesn’t feel like cooking and that’s totally okay. we unanimously decide to go out to eat and this is what the car-ride there looks like:

not a single fucking thought. not a single sentence that’s more than a few words and barely considered a sentence at all. maybe the radio or an audiobook. just silence and the noise of the world around. and there isn’t any awkwardness, just peace.

you thought actually being there is any better? think again!!! the small talk is real!!!! “the breadsticks look good.” “yeah, they do.” “let’s get them.” or “wasn’t that drink pink the last time you got it?” “it’s a different flavor.” “i see.” or “there’s strawberry cheesecake!” “will that make you feel ill?” “…it shouldn’t in moderation.” “then i’ll trust your judgment.”

tho he does squeeze my hand in reassurance while talking to the waiter because holy shit talking to people is so hard and did i just make myself look like an idiot in front of the stranger i’ll literally never see again in my life i am so sorry pls don’t mind me while i bury my head into the sand.

that is until we get into a deep discussion about our thoughts and views of the topic, going back and forth in analysis. and he doesn’t mind when i go on and on about a topic he isn’t knowledgeable about, nodding and humming along but it’s very clear he’s listening. vice versa applies to me about his interests because i could listen to him forever.

Îl iubesc atât de mult pe dragul meu Ishi. Cu atât mai bine știind că sentimentele noastre sunt reciproce ^_^ Aw! Îi prețuiesc existența mai mult decât orice. Cui îi trebuie avuții când ai alături un om cu inima de aur așa ca el?? Îl iubesc pe dragul meu. Am zis-o de o mie de ori și o voi zice până ce glasul mi se va pierde printre văile împădurite ale munților și răcnetele avalanșelor care le doboară. Vedeți ce face iubirea din om!? Îl transformă în cult, care utilizează cuvinte simandicoase în fraze pompoase doar pentru a-și demonstra sentimentele pure în fața lumii. Mă credeți acum? Credeți cât de mult îl iubesc? Ne iubim reciproc, mai mult decât orice altceva.
