It had been a long night of cram studying at Ramshackle for the next test for class. Not that he was really going to be able to retain all the information in time for the test though. He looked over from the paper he was holding and went to say something to her but paused when he realized she appeared to be starting to doze off while beside him on the couch.

Not wanting to disturb her, he slowly got up from the couch and walked over to grab a nearby blanket. Blanket now in hand, he slowly walked back over to where she was and gently placed the blanket over her.

Meeting their family for the first time

🌹 Riddle - Mrs. Rosehearts stares down at you with her nose upturned and her arms folded over her chest, before her eyes shift over to her son. “Riddle, by now I’d hoped you understood the importance of eliminating all distractions from your schoolwork.” But she’s not fully dismissive of you yet: she asks if she could look over your resumé or portfolio. What? You didn't bring either of those? Well, now this is on you. She doesn’t approve.

♥ Ace - Endless teasing from his older brother. Ace thought he had it bad when his brother found out about the girlfriend he had in middle school, but now that he’s a little older, and has started a more serious relationship, it’s ten times worse. Immediately after you walk into the Trappola estate, the brother is standing there with a shit-eating grin on, holding a cake with the words “Ace is a big boy now!” written in red icing.

♠ Deuce - His mom’s eyes mist over when she first sees Deuce standing by your side. He looks so grown up! His hair is combed, his clothes aren’t ripped, he’s come so far with his magic, and he looks happier than ever. Mrs. Spade sends you the sweetest smile and ushers you to sit down. She wants to hear everything about you.

👑 Vil - It’s difficult to arrange a meeting with Eric Venue, but he manages to fit a dinner with you into his busy schedule. You half expect that this world-famous actor you’re meeting might be stern and patronizing, but he turns out to be quite down-to-earth and pleasant to talk to. At the end of the night, he pulls you aside to firmly shake your hand and say: “You know, the way Vil’s eyes light up whenever he looks at you is something I seldom see from him. I hope you know that.”

🍎 Epel - The Felmiers are a big, tight-knit family, and they’re quick to accept you as one of them. His grandpa takes you out to their apple orchard and tells you his entire life story along with their farm’s history, while his grandma insists on teaching you how to make their famous apple jam. Somehow, the other villagers hear about Epel bringing home a “guest” and one by one they show up at the farm to greet you. A small meeting with his family turns into an impromptu village party. Mrs. Felmier packs a case full of apple juice for you to take home and sends you off with a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek.

🐲 Malleus - An audience with the Queen! She keeps a polite front in your presence, but it’s no secret that she’s a little old-fashioned when human-fae relationships are concerned. Besides, no one knows the tragic story of the Witch of Thorns and her human lover better than her. She watches from a window as Malleus shows you his beloved rose garden, and one thing is clear: he’s madly in love with you. She only hopes you won’t break his heart.

🦇 Lilia - Your first meeting with his family also serves as his first meeting in years. It’s a tense and emotional reunion, worsened by the fact that this takes place during the war. Both parents are extremely untrusting of you, a human, and no words can describe their disappointment that their son has “defected” to the humans’ side. His father is appreciative that Lilia allowed some closure for their family, but then requests that he never visit them again.

⚔ Silver - You’ve met Lilia before. You also know he and Silver are close, almost like best friends—finding out the reality of their relationship sends you for a loop. That eccentric little fae has really been Silver’s father this whole time? Your friendship with Lilia happened organically so when you corner him in a fit of shock with a million questions about Silver, he claps and says, “Oh, right! We never told you?”

⚡ Sebek - The only thing that can cross your mind when you see his parents is “She’s tall...”. Sebek is the spitting image of his mother. She towers above you with a wide, excitable smile on her face, absolutely fascinated by this little human her son brought home. Mr. Zigvolt is very chill and pleased to see that Sebek has found another human besides Silver to spend his time with. The Zigvolts are a little over-friendly, and a little weird, but their household radiates warmth for sure.

Deuce had been mentally preparing himself for this moment. It was just about a dance and not a marriage proposal so it couldn’t be that hard to ask her right?

Yet, with her now in his line of sight, all confidence was thrown out the window and he was now struggling to keep himself together. He won’t know her answer until he asks her though so he had to push through to try.

“Sakura, can I talk to you for a moment?”

Halloween was slowly approaching. What better way to take a break from event planning for the school than to carve pumpkins for fun? 

Although, Deuce had to admit that the ones they had to work with were rather heavy. He nearly lost his balance trying to place the last one they had to work with on the table they were working at with the other ones.

“I think that’s the all of them...” He paused to catch his breath. “Here Sakura.” He used a bit of force to push it over to her.

♥ Ace - A theme park. Rides, carnival games, junk foods galore—he has a childlike twinkle in his eyes when he’s running around having the time of his life.

♠ Deuce - The city at night. He loves the idea of taking you for a Magical Wheel ride when the city’s lit up in every color imaginable.

♣ Trey - Romantic dinner. A bit basic, maybe, but he finds it sweet and intimate to take you out to a restaurant you both would love.

♦ Cater - Aesthetic pop-up museum. Somewhere bright and colorful where he can have a super cute two-shot photoshoot with you.

😸 Chenya - A maze. This way or that way? He loves the thrill of not knowing where you’ll end up, or if you’ll ever get to where you need to be.

🦁 Leona - Staying home. Why would he bother going anywhere if the two of you could just stay home and sleep instead?

🐆 Ruggie - He would never admit it, but he’s always wanted to see what it’d feel like to dine in a classy restaurant with a butler-like waiter tending to him and his s/o. Realistically, though, dates themselves don’t matter much to Ruggie. As long as it doesn’t impact his wallet much 💦

🐺 Jack - “Whatever you wanna do.” He’s not good at making plans (or being romantic in general), so if you go on a date together, he’d prefer it if you picked it out. But if he absolutely had to pick… maybe going to a professional magift game.

🐙 Azul - A gondola cruise. Azul loves to impress; he’ll show you some of the most beautiful sceneries around the Coral Sea that not many know exist.

🐬 Jade - An aquarium. The dark, serene atmosphere of the aquarium puts him at ease, plus looking at the terrariums of each exhibit is a major interest of his.

🦈 Floyd - The beach. Cake by the ocean He’d get very passionate while playing beach volleyball, and if you made sandcastles he’d also want to bury you in the sand (promising he “just wants to sculpt out a mermaid tail”). At one point, he’d transform into his eel merform, and when the sun sets at the end of the date, you could watch it while sitting on a bodyboard out in the water, as his elbows rest on the free space of it beside you.

☀ Kalim - A festival. Live music and dancing, eclectic food vendors and overall vibrant energy pulsing through the crowds—this type of atmosphere has always been his favorite.

🐍 Jamil - Early morning coffee shop. Most of his days are filled with busywork and trying to keep up with all of Kalim’s antics, but coffee shops are relatively quiet. The mixed aromas of coffee and baked goods, along with the sound of clattering dishes makes for a relaxing atmosphere too.

👑 Vil - Upscale couples’ spa. Let yourselves unwind in a rejuvenating massage treatment complete with aromatherapy, hot stones, and ending with gentle mani-pedis. 🌺💧

🍎 Epel - An apple orchard. Apples have always been a comfort for him, and going apple-picking feels different when it’s not your own farm. Maybe you could try carving them afterwards too.

🏹 Rook - Shopping mall. Giving his input on your beauty while you’re out looking for clothes is definitely one of his favorite things to do. Besides, he does have an eye for beauty and can give solid advice.

💀 Idia - Game night! Flick off the lights and whip out the snacks & controllers. He’d want nothing more than to play videogames in the comfort of his bedroom.

🔥 Ortho - His ideal “date” would be going anywhere with Idia, out in the actual world and not cooped up inside. (But you can come too if you want!)

🐲 Malleus - A day trip to a historic castle, preferably one with many unique gargoyles lining the rooftops. On the way back, he’d like to stop for some ice cream.

🦇 Lilia - A gaming convention sounds fun to him. Maybe he’d get passionate watching some live tournaments (or try to add himself to the lineup so he could go up against the pros).

⚔ Silver - He’s never thought about anything romantic before… He wouldn’t know what to say. A restaurant seems like the standard. He’s always been curious about spinning wheels - he might suggest taking lessons together. (Just make sure he doesn’t doze off and accidentally prick his finger).

⚡ Sebek - The bookstore. As loud as he is, he does love the quiet and studious atmosphere of a bookstore or library during his off-time. Plus he’s genuinely interested in hearing your recommendations / seeing your taste in novels.
