PSA ABOUT MEMES.

i don’t care if you use me as a “meme resource”. firstly, if you’re following me it’s most likely not only to reblog my memes. chances are you have at least a vague interest in my character or writing. secondly, the whole reblog karma thing, in my personal opinion, is just added pressure to something that’s supposed to be fun. sometimes the meme doesn’t work for the dynamic of our characters & sometimes you’re anxious about approaching someone new with random things in their askbox. so please, never try to force yourself to send something if you want to reblog a meme. i do love finding things in the handy ol’ inbox, but i will never expect any of you to send something. on the flip side of that, in respect to the people i follow, i will be trying to reblog memes from the source now so that their notifications are less swamped by meme reblogs. i’m human, so i will probably screw up but please know i am making an effort.

there’s been a lot of drama & hurt feelings & just general negativity in the roleplay community as of late. i keep seeing apologies from the people i follow apologizing for a need for space or being inactive. i’m only going to say this once   ——   never feel sorry for taking care of yourself. tumblr is just a part of the greater picture that is your life & honestly it’s probably one of the least important parts. take all the time you need to feel better & if you choose not to return, i wish you the very best of luck. anyone who can’t accept waiting for your replies isn’t worth your time. i love you all & i want you to be well. xoxo

WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE?: I don’t really have an otp. for one the list of ships i have on this blog are excruciatingly  low. i officially only have one right now, a modern one where my muse is a cheating bastard. i mean, it’s a loveless marriage but still...... i do love the internal struggle it causes though.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?: i’m not very comfortable with smut. i know it’s a fact, but i hate that my brain child gets more play than i do lol. & i know it kind of goes under the smut category, but rape/non-con is also a big no for me. i mean, if it’s part of a character’s backstory, i’m not saying forget about it completely but if it’s more than a vague reference to something that happened before our characters met, i’m out.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?: it really depends on the verse. any verse set in a medieval-esque timeline, it is not uncommon for a 30-year-old man to marry a 16-year-old girl. smut is already off the table so that doesn’t bother me so much, i’m not going to deny a part of the world it takes place in just because i don’t agree with it. in other verses, as long as they’re both legal or, in the case that one or both aren’t legal, they really need to closer together in age.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?:  with the exception of danaerys, not particularly. i mean, i really love to have some well thought out plots to develop ships in. if i get too swamped with ships, then yeah, i will become more selective bc woman can not live romantics ships alone...

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW?: once certain appendages are being mentioned, yeah it’s now nsfw. also this is basically the part where i would like to skip ahead ( unless the point of it is for something to happen once it gets started/halfway through, but then i’d rather not get into too much detail about the actual sex ).

WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH?:   like i said, i officially only have one ship right now. i can tell you what other characters i would like to ship with. the top ship i would like right now is arianne martell because, for one, they are both legal which means they wouldn’t have to walk on eggshells like brannyn would have to with some other ships. they could talk dirty all the time, slap each other’s bums for no reason, and have sexy little wrestling sessions ( yes, i said that. arguments would be so awesome ). for another, brannyn certainly has a thing for subborn people who are ready to fight at the drop of a hat & also want to be loved & showered with affection. lastly, because brannyn has such an immense respect for her aunt, i kind of like the idea of them bonding over that ( i’m assuming arianne would not have many memories of elia, if she has any at all ). also on that list is cersei lannister ( hear me out ). there is the same argument for them both being adults & her being a strong woman but also, if i remember correctly, she still has the connection to rhaegar targaryen & how life would be different if she had married him. one of the big reasons, if not THE reason, cersei keeps aurane waters around is because he looks like rhaegar... except the eyes. which is part of the reason i believe it could kind of work. brannyyn has targaryen eyes & i’m assuming he would also share some structural features with rhaegar. i mean, it would be sooooo toxic. she’d just be in it bc of the lingering desire to be with his brother & he would be suspicious all the time ( i mean, he hates her brother ), and probably a little rough & bitter but since she’s a strong woman he really can’t resist the temptation. then we come to danaerys who, i’ve stated multiple times now, will be restricted to two completely different ship scenarios. if you would like to inquire or volunteer for them please send a message. if you just like posts i don’t know if you’re volunteering or you just like the idea. there is a wide variety of other ships i would be open to, but these are the three big ones i’m going to be constantly begging for tbh lol. also talk to me about polyamourus ships, k bye.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?:  please. i mean if it’s harmless flirting, whatever. if there’s something more to it, i would like to discuss dynamics & such. even if it’s something unrequited, just shoot me a line & let me know. i’m ridiculously easy to confuse sometimes.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP?: I do love shipping, however given the stigma original characters tend to have about being these weird sex fantasy machines, i don’t actively go around asking for them. i’m probably down for the ship, but i will either wait until we are better acquainted to bring it up or just hope you make the first move. i am really afraid of perpetuating the idea that my muse is just a piece of meat.

ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?:   wow. this is a loaded question. i mean, obsession is generally not used as a positive word, & more-or-less seems kind of apathetic. i guess i am somewhere in the middle. i LOVE shipping, but i won’t die if i don’t have any ships.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?: are you ready for a super obscure ship? oberyn x cersei. i decided this was my favourite three or four years ago, when i briefly had an oberyn blog. if you like power couples, i strongly suggest getting on board with this one. c;

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?:  well there are three ways. reply to any related posts, send in shipping call memes & come to my im AND YELL AT ME LIKE THIS. i like caps, actually, it makes you seem excited. but yeah, nine times out of ten, i will randomly start sending headcanons and thread ideas.

also, another thing : i am mutuals with sooo many danaeryses.... dannaerai... danys. i really need to start talking to you all about what kind of verses we would like to exist in bc i really don’t want the same thing with all of them. diversity is good.  i am not here specifically for romantic ships, i mean i do enjoy them ( i am human & a giant sap tbh ) but i am interested in all kinds of dynamics. i think my character has a particularly wide range of possible dynamics with danaerys & bc of this she is the only character i am going to be fairly strictly exclusive with: in regards to romantic shipping ( i have stated this before ) i will be exclusive to two danys in two different scenarios & i will be what i’m calling ‘plot exclusive’ with any/all of them. i mean, i’m 100% okay with something generic to get dialogue flowing & to make us as muns more comfortable coming into each others’ askbox/ims to talk about something a little more elaborate, but i would really like to have something different with each of my mutuals. so, i am going to make a post, which i am going to call the Danaerys Army, & it will have a list of the danys i am roleplaying with & a basic outline of the plot (or plots bc why would i limit to only one per person? i’m not a monster )  we have decided upon ( along with any important information, verses it belongs to &  tags ). so, if you want to plot something i am opening my metaphorical doors to you. send me a message via asks or ims & we can start discussing things. things that would be very helpful in your messages : a verse you want to belong to or a random au thing, or a list of them. it doesn’t have to be a distinct plot, i am willing to come up with that together but i would like an idea of what you are comfortable with. i think that’s everything i needed to say... so, yeah, hit me up

UPDATE : 06.10.2017 ( MINI HIATUS )

just wanting to let you guys know that i will NOT be on the dash this weekend, as i will be too busy ogling j.ared & j.ensen at the s.upernarutal convention in toronto. i will be queuing some images, musings & memes before i leave but i will not personally be around. i have a bunch of half finished drafts sitting around, so expect those next week sometime.

VERSES UPDATE (for those who haven’t checked in a while)

in the last couple weeks there have been a few additions to my verses to create a wider variety of interactions with more characters. for convenience i’m listing them here.

BENEATH THE GOLD THE BITTERSTEEL (IN DEVELOPMENT BUT OPEN FOR INTERACTION)

brannyn & harry strickland’s hatred for one another is so great, and brannyn believes him sooooo inept as a leader that it causes a civil war among the sellsword group, cracking it in two. brannyn becomes the leader of one side & harry the other. brannyn outright refuses to change the name of his company bc he believes harry isn’t worthy of it. 

WARD OF WINTERFELL

Brannyn had been so excited, tasked with squiring for two members of the Kingsguard on a secret mission. This mission leads him to the Tower of Joy, where the knights fall protecting the Lady Lyanna. Even though the man is the lady's brother, Brannyn is still protective of her & her newborn child. He refuses to stand down, grabbing a discarded blade & placing himself between Ned & Lyanna. Ned admires the boy's spirit & sense of honour, offering him a position at winterfell to watch over the child. Of course, Brannyn swears never to tell anyone who the child truly is. He grows up serving Lord Stark, watching over Jon & eventually becoming part of their household guard. When Ned leaves south to become Hand to King Robert & Jon leaves north for the Wall, Brannyn becomes restless but does his best to serve those still in Winterfell. He finds purpose again with Robb's decleration of war against the throne. The bastard had hated the lannisters since that fateful day jamie's blade found the king's back. He served as a loyal member of Robb's army until the events of the Red Wedding. He was able to escape north, becoming a sellsword of sorts to keep himself fed. It wasn't until a couple years later, that Brannyn hears news that Jon has become Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Swelling with pride & the knowledge that he might again gain his purpose he sets off to the Wall - to Jon. When he arrives, he is too late. Jon is dead, stabbed traitorous members of the Watch.

SHIELD THAT GUARDS THE REALMS OF MEN

With Robert's Rebellion now coming to a close, Brannyn felt uneasy in the capitol - like he was now a target. True, his parentage was simply a rumour, but even rumours were dangerous. If the new king thought the bastard MAY be a threat, his life was likely forfeit. He needed to flee. As chance would have it, he came across a wondering crow on the road from the city & was easy convinced to go north & take the black.
