There was a snicker escaping the female's lips in response to the male's words, while she didn't know about that. She did know that this was becoming borderline insane, clearly he had to know that.. Right? Cause it was almost as if he was looking for trouble, why else would he follow a complete stranger to the unknown? Well okay, maybe he was a bit of a dumbass because who follows a stranger in the first place? They could end up being a serial killer or worse, not that she was a serial killer or anything. Just someone who can travel between different dimensions and universes, someone who can cross over different planes of existence or travel across various forms of reality. Maybe she shouldn't have drawn too much attention to herself then he wouldn't be stuck in her world now, but she did and oh how she messed up there.

❝Well I don't know if I can fully argue with you there but suppose you could chalk it down to being too curious for your own good. But didn't you ever learn it's not wise to follow a stranger, that could be very dangerous.❞

❝So let me get this straight, you got a knack of putting yourself in dangerous situations?❞ Raine inquired, eyebrows furrowing. So the male was insane, with a touch of idiotic tendencies. But she supposed he'd fit right in with most of the heroes, they were always diving head first into trouble. ❝Wait, hold up. You don't age? Are you like some immortal creature?❞ Now that bugged the question, just whom and what followed her back to her own universe? Oh her step father would so lecture her over this mistake if he knew, which would only be a matter of time because she certainly couldn't abandon him to defend for himself in a strange place. Well she could technically go to her biological father for help, rip the band-aide off and explain her situation to him. Risk him looking at her like she was the new villian by bringing a possible danger back to their reality. Oh, let's not forget she could go to her sister for help but dragging Greer into her mess, after all she's been through didn't sound appeasing to her. No, she'll just have to bring him back to her place and deal with this herself. Yep. ❝So you decided to follow a stranger into the unknown because he needed a change? You sir are bonkers but at least it's not because you saw a beautiful girl and wanted to know more about her, that would be a bit cliché.❞

And then came the what could go wrong question and she couldn't help but to snicker once more. ❝Don't you know that asking what could go wrong is bad luck because whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. But to answer the question, a lot. ❞

It certainly wasn't the dumbest thing that Eddie had ever done, though he would argue that following the kids to the Upside Down was more brave than dumb, but it certainly seemed more permanent than his last decision. Apparently a couple of decades as a vampire did nothing to his sense of whimsy or self preservation. Eddie made the choice right then that there was no sense in being mad, so why not laugh at himself?

"To be fair, it's not the first time I've thrown myself head first into trouble--" He had spent too long running away from the things he wanted to do, there was no point anymore. "--but my friends are all getting older and I'm not, so it's time for a change I guess." He offered her a small grin.

"What could go wrong?"

When Ryker had entered the Hideout, he had no clue what to expect. Just that it was a bar where live bands would play, like the one that was playing the first time he entered the joint. Corroded Coffin was the name, if heard right. Although it wasn’t the music that had first drawn his attention to the band but the lead guitarist / singer, after that he would drop by occasionally. Even if the male rarely ever talked to the other male, he was a fan. Then chaos erupted and Ry learned the metalhead was wanted, it had gotten so bad that some prick had started a witch hunt for Munson. Which he thought was complete bullshit but obviously no one was willing to listen to common sense, so the gamer set out to find Eddie himself. But for the complete opposite as everyone else, he wanted to help him out because he wasn’t buying the rumors. Yet the problem was that, he didn’t know where to even begin to look for the freak as some people would call him so it was fruitless to begin with. And after the earthquake happened, he ceased his efforts. It wasn’t like they were really friends, so he moved on.

It had been a couple of weeks, maybe even a month or so since the earthquake. And Ryker had messing around skull rock, taking pics and doodling concepts of the scenery. It was after the male moved towards where the lake was or once was to do the same, that he had spotted someone. Not just someone but Eddie fucking Munson, and he looked like an absolute mess. So Ry did the reasonable thing he could think of and was bring the male home with him. Helped him clean up and made sure he was okay, although he definitely wasn’t expecting the response given which caused him to lean back. Green hues roaming over the male as he processed the best way to approach this, given the fact that the gamer was just like the metalhead in that aspect. Permanently emotionally damaged, forever fucked up but he didn’t even care. But even then, he didn’t know how to help the other in that department but he could try. 

❝You and me both.❞ Ry murmured but shaking his head. ❝Forever fucked up, huh? Whatever you’ve been through must have been horrifying bad, I’m sorry that I can’t help you erase the damage fully but I can give you a distraction or do something else to help out..❞ This is what he gets for helping out attractive strangers but oh well, it gave him an excuse to talk to the other.
