On top of being great at sorting things out and giving advice, he is an excellent fighter. But this was not always the case. It was because of Hiroki’s strong belief in him that he trained hard enough to actually become something. He is dutiful, kind, and courteous to Hiroki when speaking to them. He has an undying loyalty towards him to the point he would give his own life in order to protect him.

However, around others he can be rather unsociable, speaking very rudely and bluntly to them. He can be petty, enough so that he becomes upset at Satoru’s abilities to read Arcane books better than him has resulted in a sort of one sided rivalry that Satoru wants no part of. Nonetheless, he still helps others when needed as part of his duty as the High Mage of Abarith. Due to conditioned believes raised from his mother, he has conflicting opinions on half-breeds and humans. And because of her purist intense beliefs, he's deeply in the closet over his sexuality.

ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ

Amir was born into power, his mother being the previous High Mage of the court and his father a pureblooded Mage from another country. He was loved deeply but his parents predigest toward half-breeds and humans over the years started to wear down on Amir and instill in him a conflicting hated for their kind. This was worse especially during the darker unrest periods under the previous King's reign, where humans would turn on the mythical creatures simply for what they were. If they weren’t going to be kind he figured what was the point in trying to be kind himself toward them? There simply wasn’t a point.

He was born and raised in the castle along side Hiroki, Wyatt and Luka the four of them being childhood friends. He was taught everything he would need to eventually replace his mother, who had overbearing expectations of him. To the point of often sending Amir to tears over not being enough for her. He adored Hiroki, the little Prince becoming his best friend as the boy cheered and encouraged him to become a real part of the court, to stop putting off everything and focus more on his training because he had potential, regardless of what his mother thought.

He was never a good study, didn't want to be with all the pressure of his family to be perfect, and never had the determination to really study Arcane Magic. But with the push from the little Prince that he admired, he took hold of that belief and really decided to focus to become something. It wasn’t easy, Arcane magic was wild and uncontrollable, so much could go wrong when using it, and because of that Amir ended up with cuts and burns all over his hands and started to use magic infused gloves.

The first book he managed to concur was dark fire based magic, and it quickly became his favorite to use but he still pushed himself to climb up farther in ranks and use high level books. They were harder and nearly tore him apart sometimes, but Amir never gave up, determined to learn every book he could despite how hard they were—and even now he’s still studying them, taking books from Satoru’s library and showing the cryptic library freak that he could become even better than him.

He doesn’t leave the castle often, he tries to go home even less. His mother will make the trip to the Castle to see him, and suggest a few marriage candidates so that she can finally have grandchildren and another heir in the family. Amir doesn't have the courage or strength to tell her his preferences. He's easily flustered around people he finds attractive.
