♚ : she’s gotten it into her head to better acquaint herself with the areas of the island she hasn’t frequented, and once miko sets herself to a task there is little that can convince her to change her mind. of course, thinking is one thing; doing is another matter entirely. the fibonacci ward is daunting in terms of style and technology - this place is entirely beyond the range of her knowledge, and that fact alone makes her determined to find and learn while here.

there’s a dealer of trinkets whose makeshift stall she has chosen for her first observations. he’s in possession of a multitude of mechanical objects, of which she knows the purpose of exactly none of them.

‘this is... peculiar. i wonder if - ‘ she reaches out a hand for some whirling bauble of metal, then stops at the sight of the ensuing glare of the owner.

‘calm yourself. i was only intending to give it a look.’ she glances sidelong and notices a man also perusing the goods before them. ‘well? what’s your assessment of the gentleman’s wares?’
