husk didn't go out to bars very often━ usually he was getting dragged along by someone at the hotel. that, and he had spent more time in casino bars. the bars around hell were . . . trashy usually, or too bright and hyper-pop for his tastes. the drinks were expensive too. but he got suggested this one, and he wanted some time out so━ there he was, alone at the bar with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.

a soft growl came from husk at the sudden presence beside him. he glanced over to the moth sinner, taking another drink with a scowl. husk could recognize one of val's━ they littered the club and bar scenes.

            ❝ not particularly. ❞ came the gruff voice before he finished off the bottle in his hand, waving down the bartender for another. he hadn't even glanced back to the moth as he opened it up.

the question came out of no where. they'd just been cuddling, husk nuzzled up into angel's chest━ purring, tail swaying happily behind him, wings folded over them. he was probably on the verge of falling asleep with his arms wrapped around angel. but they snapped open when he spoke. a soft sigh comes from the cat.

            ❝ angel, baby . . . i thought we were past that. ❞ husk's voice was low, a bit raspy from not speaking for so long. he lifted himself off angel, careful as he unwrapped himself from his form. he sat up on the side of the bed next to him, a somber look in his eyes.

husk reached out, brushing disheveled hair back, before taking a hold of his chin. he pulled him into a kiss, gentle, and nothing but love behind it.

            ❝ i love you as you are. there's nothing i'd change about you. hm, ❞ husk paused, nuzzling his nose into angel's cheek, ❝ 'cept maybe how fuckin' insecure you are. ❞

angel let out a soft, breathy laugh at alastor's words. his sat in his lap━ something he was invited to do much more now that they'd settled that lingering tension between them. angel still couldn't quite remember everything from his time alive━ but he remembered being happy. alastor was still fuzzy in those memories, but his memoirs helped.

            ❝ well, i came back, didn't i ? ❞ angel purred, his forehead pressed gently against alastor's. manicured nails scratched softly at the deer's ears, and there was a smile on angel's face. he wouldn't have expected to be sat in the radio demon's lap years ago, but he was sure he wouldn't want to be anywhere else. there was something thrilling, being doted on by someone supposed to be oh-so scary.

            ❝ did ya' miss me ? ❞ it wasn't teasing like angel normally was, no he genuinely wanted to know━ hoping to continue grasping onto everything alastor remembered that he couldn't. it was terrifying at first, but he felt himself growing back onto him.

"sweetheart." he says. still painted face lowering. "it's eh... time for you to rest, now." he moves his hand to pat her arm twice, with gloved hands. "i'll be right here, ah? it's just like a married couple. come, si?.."
