Ultra Magnus status with the Autobots is debatable. While the rumors and legends of her command and leadership remain, her opinions on the war and the subject matter therein are…complicated. Her placement within the Autobot ranks is also, complicated. Magnus is not exactly who everyone expects her to be. Perhaps more of a deceiver than many realize.

Ultra Magnus has spent recent times in multiple different continuities. During her time in these different universes, she has found herself strictly attached to a few mechs that she would protect with her spark.

A few of these individuals are (but not limited to):

Ghostspire: A bounty hunter that she is quite certain she knows from somewhere. It’s almost uncanny. However when she feels like she gets somewhere, she totally forgets.

Malika Carnelian: A human that Magnus was tasked in taking care of for a brief time. However the two became very close and now Magnus has taken the mantel of a sort of parental figure over her.

Izabella: Magnus and Izabella have quite a history together and she really doesn’t want to bring up the past they share with Megatron…ahem…however this is another individual that Magnus shares a parental bond over.

Iron Hide: A brother from a VERY different universe. Magnus has only visited this universe one time–the Tyran continuity. That was where she met Iron Hide and that was where Iron Hide promptly took her in and kept her safe before she could even return home. They still keep in touch to this day and Hide still calls Magnus by that nickname he gave to her: Inyoni (A Simfurian term that translates to ‘my bird’)

Smokescreen: …are they trouble makers or do they just get along really well. Magnus has taken Smokescreen under her wing and watches over him when she can. Sometimes it seems he watches over her too. They seem to balance each other out.

Rodimus: What can she say about Rodimus? She’s figuring it out. The urge to take care of him like he is one of her own is too strong. She fights those urges on the sheer fact that he is his own mech from his own universe. Still…doesn’t mean she can’t be there for him.

Optimus: Like a brother to me. We have not known each other for long, though I cannot help but get the feeling that we have met each other before. Optimus is a good mech and I do truly enjoy their company. He does know how to get me to laugh, which is not an easy thing to do.

Cliffjumper: a ‘cousin’ that I do enjoy poking at from time to time. Life would be boring if you did not bother someone. However, Cliffjumper is as honourable as they come. I don’t want to see anyone else poking or pestering at him or you will have to go through me.

Heatwave: He is perfect and cannot to anything wrong. A good leader and a very devoted conjunx to his mate. He is as a sibling to me. I do like to use him as an example to the Wreckers when they get a little too chummy.

High Tide: An in-law? Look, we talk a lot and I enjoy our conversations. High Tide and Heatwave is invited to all holiday events.

B: A mech who has very much earned the name that they were given: Badassitron. A delight to be around, and always a new adventure to around. 

Orion: A very distinct mech from a distinct universe. Though quite similar to someone I know, there are dissimilarities all the same. However, I would still take up for him should he or his dearest need it.

How do they have a bean? (Include your headcanons!)

After one rather fun night that including a spark merge, Megatron started to feel… off. A trip to the medbay revealed he had a newspark snuggled right up next to his in his spark chamber, and both Optimus and Megatron went “oops”. When carrying was done, the newspark was shifted to a protoform.

Would they have one bean or more than one bean? If more, how many?

One at a time!

What’s the bean’s shape? Size?

Very round! Round like a friend! And small, considering how big its carrier is.

Is their bean an exceptionally cuddly squishy blob or no?

It will cuddle with literally anyone who stays still long enough for it to attach itself

Does their bean have basic protoform appendages (chevron, finials, wings, etc.) forming yet?

There are little nubs forming on the top of its crown. Megatron thinks they’ll be finials, while Optimus is betting they will be horns

Is much is their bean dependent on them?

It is a mama-and-papa’s bean

Who does the bean take after more physically?

When it begins to develop more, it is a healthy mix of both Optimus and Megatron.

Personality-wise, who is the bean more like?

Like Optimus, it has an insatiable curiosity for the world around it, and, like Megatron, is ambitious and relentless.

How does their bean interact with other grown mechs?

It magnetizes to anyone who holds still long enough. It’s a very cuddly, friendly little thing with no stranger danger whatsoever.

How does their bean interact with other protoforms?

Rather overwhelmingly - its so eager to make friends it often scares other beans by its pushiness

What sounds does their bean make? Are they quiet, make low booping, high beepings, or are they a wee lil screecher?

It all depends on its mood. It can be an adorable little cheep-cheeper, or a screecher, depending on whether it’s content or whether it wants something.

How does their bean move about?

Little anti-grav systems propel it everywhere (with a few magnets to help it along)

Where and how often does their bean like to snooze?

Where? Anywhere. It can sleep through anything. How often? Pretty regularly for a bean

ooc: so I thought I’d post this here and see if any of my followers are interested. I’m looking for a Megatron (preferably TFA) to be the Megatron to my Optimus and roleplay MegOP with me.

My general idea for a plot runs along the lines of Optimus being kidnapped by Megatron upon his escape from Trypticon to be a hostage/act of revenge, before both learn that the Matrix (which has been dormant for millenia) has awoken and is seeking its Prime. Cue negotiations to get Optimus back, general attempts to woo him, political intrigue, and shenanigans.

Optimus would be lying if he tried to claim that he hadn’t seen Megatron coming - but it was also true that he had not been expecting this when he’d sensed the Warlord’s swift approach. It was a kiss, hard and dominating, full of dentae and presumption. ‘Oh’, he thought. ‘This is- this is. Well.’ He’d never imagined himself liking something this rough, and yet here he was, quite happily holding still for Megatron. ‘He’s big, isn’t he?’And then reality clicked back into place, and the Prime gave a muffled sound (which was more like a squeak, really) of outrage and shock. “Get- get off!” Optimus spluttered, giving Megatron’s chestplates a shove. Unsurprisingly, this had little affect. “What are you doing?!”
