unsettling was a bit of an understatement judging by her own feelings and the ones of those around her. mel supposed they were all making theories though, comparing different fae to one another and debating on whether or not they could have been responsible. but that was all they had, theories and rumors running rampant.

"something tells me the solution will not be as easy as that." otherwise they'd all have been out immediately considering they'd all been gathered together for a time before being released and subsequently finding themselves trapped in a larger cage.

"i wonder if whoever is behind this finds this amusing or is wanting to frighten people," she mused before realizing what she'd said. "not that i'm frightened, obviously." admitting something like that could be detrimental to her own lesser reputation as well as that of her family and their strength even by those in her own court.

the general knew, that she should likely have kept her emotions more in check but her temper had never been a secret and whilst she had improved more than she ever thought possible as she had grown, siri was but a mere illyrian and she simply couldn't help it if sometimes that side of her won.

it was also likely not wise of her to point hands, she knew that but she couldn't help but wonder when everyone else was looking outwardly for the problem, who was making sure they kept an eye on who was trapped inside there with them. "isn't it just." she nodded, a huff leaving her with enough force she blew the black strands of hair from her face.

"just a show of power? no i don't think so, emilios is far to clever for that and ambrose has barely been a high lord long enough to risk anything for the sake of show boating, i just...something feels unsettling about it, i'd find the nearest daemati and getting answers."

the honesty was refreshing at the very least. it was easy to see most people were pretending everything was completely fine or would be shortly. as much as she hated monotony, mel was eager for this little adventure to end.

she hadn't truly considered that some among them would cause such chaos. in all truth, she'd thought it was some outside force plaguing them all rather than courts who pledged peace and plotted in secret. "that's...worrying," she said simply, though the words were little more than useless.

"you think that they used the opportunity to show off their own power?" a show of strength could be easily explained away or glossed over by most if they'd been truly freed after the ball. "or perhaps there's something far more sinister coming."

wings were stretched wide and she did very little to pull them close to her even with the sound of footsteps. normally the general handled them with far more care, guarded them more closely but given the way she had felt the need to tuck them closely when they had been trapped in that room, she couldn't resist the urge to let them feel the breeze for a while.

the question was the same one on everyones mind and while frustrations bubbled because, honestly none of them knew, she understood the others need to voice it. "i'm unsure." that was how she felt about it all, unsure and longing for the night court. "i imagine all eyes are on spring and dawn, it cannot be coincidence that they're the two high lords that managed to get us out of the room can it?"
