At some point one of them was going to have to give in, and Kyleigh would be damned if it was her. She couldn't allow Cade to just go out there all by himself either and even if she had no idea what it was they were going to face, she knew she wanted in. So when he finally gave up, consenting to her helping him, she couldn't stop the pleased smirk that came to her face. "Good. I get the feeling that I should be saying that to you but we can skip that part. Now we just have to come up with a plan that's not going to get us both killed."

did he have a say in if she should help or not? somewhat. will he argue further about it? nope. because he's learned that it's a difficult battle, to argue with a woman, so he's going to be smart about this and not argue at all. it's also the safest route to go, too. ❝ alright, fine. you can help. but just.... stay safe when you do. ❞ he stated simply. he pressed his lips into a thin line then. a plan. which he hadn't thought that far yet. so if they put their heads together, they could figure something out. right?

"Oh none taken, and you're one hundred percent right. I have no involvement in this whatsoever, but I can't just let you go out there by yourself. I know you're fully capable and all, but this just seems like the kind of thing that you should have help with." Normally she wouldn't give two shits but Kyleigh couldn't just stand by and let some waltz right into danger. "So it's decided that we're both going to do something. Now we just have figure out what that something is."

❝ i'm willing to go out and do something about it, no matter if it's dangerous or not. no one else seems to be. i'm sure you would at least do a little bit, but not too much that it would cause you harm. no offence. ❞ he paused and inhaled deeply. ❝ everyone is turning a blind eye. i'm not. i'm not willing to do that. ❞

"Good point." Leaning back in her chair Kyleigh hands came to rest on her legs as she thought. While she had no plans of staying in town for long and didn't really feel like this was any of her business, she still couldn't let Cade go out there and handle it all by himself. "Okay I know no one else is probably going to do anything about it, but why's it so important to you that someone does?"

his tongue darted out to moisten his lesser lip, watching her as she pulled up a chair to sit down in it. he let out a soft huff before he too, had grabbed a chair and pulled it close so he could sit down as well. ❝ i mean, brainstorming is throwing suggestions around. ❞

Okay so this was going to be a thing apparently. It seemed like it meant something to Cade, and Kyleigh didn't want to see him get hurt so she couldn't let him just go out there all by himself. "That's a good place to start." Pulling up a chair she sat herself down in it, resting her feet up on one of it's rungs. "You have any suggestions or should we just brainstorm for a bit here?"

he tilted his head and listened to her as she spoke, nodding his head slowly. ❝ or maybe a few ideas can be thrown around. ❞ he suggested after a short pause. he certainly didn't like the idea of someone else trying to figure it out but he knew by the time someone did, it would probably be too late to do anything.

She had to let out a chuckle at that. Kyleigh figured Cade hadn't thought that far in advance, which meant she had a good chance of talking him out of doing anything stupid at all. "Well that should be your sign that maybe it's not your turn to do something. Or we could figure out someone else to talk to that might be better able to do something."

his tongue darted out to moisten his lesser lip, his greater one alike at her question and inhaled deeply. soon, he scratched at the back of his neck, a guilty expression crossing his face. ❝ to be honest, i didn't think that far yet. ❞ he stated, his face morphing into a slight cringe.

Letting out a sigh, Kyleigh rolled her shoulders as she processed his words. He had a point, someone should do something about it but she wouldn't feel right if she just let him go about it all alone. "I mean I guess you have a point there. And let's just say you were the one to do something about it. What would you do, and would you want some help?"

❝ i mean, i would try to do something about it. because it doesn't seem like anyone else gives a shit to do it. ❞ he responded, his shoulders rose and fell in a small shrug. ❝ i could try, and maybe it'll get me killed. but truly, at least someone would be doing something, rather than not. ❞

"That's exactly what I'm saying man. I don't know if people are just lazy these days or don't care, but not a single damn thing is happening about it." Now while it wasn't Kyleigh's business she could see why he was upset when she told him about everything going on. "But that doesn't mean you need to do anything either, so I wouldn't think about it if I were you."

his brows had furrowed in the slightest as he listened to her speak. ❝ so you mean to say.... that things are happening and no one is doing a thing? people are just chalking it up as suspicious and then forgetting it ever happened? ❞
