I’m still alive and in an attempt to kick myself and Kael’thas back into gear, I present you with this interest tracker. It is not required for interaction, but I would appreciate it so that I may get an idea of where and how to get back into the swing of things.
If you have RPed with me before, please let me know if there are any old threads you would like to continue, or if you would like something fresh. Thank you!

Was Kael'thas your first muse?
In general, no. In the Warcraft community, yes! It's, really, the first and longest time I've ever written on a canon character. I like elves and wizard classes (played the crap out of Wizard in Diablo 3), but it was also right around the time I started taking an interest in Jaina Proudmoore after listening to and playing through the Culling of Stratholme dungeon. My fairly noob self at the time really enjoyed the dungeons that told a story (Escape from Durnholde was another), so I looked her up, then found Kael through her and was pretty much drawn to him right then and there. "Oh, he's an elf wizard--with unrequited love for Jaina! Oh, and he's a figurative Faust and aristocrat, too!"
Anyway, I was already into making playlists for characters from my Sonic days, so I started making one for Kael, read and studied as much as was available at the time on him, discovered he was playable in Heroes of the Storm, tried my hand at RPing him there, and that's pretty much it. He's super complex, multi-layered, everything I love in the type of characters I enjoy (and used to RP, actually)--only that imo Kael seems to take on all those types in one.

what do you think about OCs?
Munday Asks (No Longer Accepting)
As someone who first started out with OCs in the RP scene, they're interesting and unique! A lot of work goes into them, as you're basically making them from scratch rather than relying on canon characters that already exist. They definitely showcase just how creative their mun is. Even though they are typically created within the bounds of the universe in which they belong, the sky is (reasonably) the limit and can encompass several AUs. It's nice getting to see and roleplay with them for sure.

what’s a song that reminds you of your muse?
Munday Asks (Accepting)
This is always a difficult question as I have so many songs for so many canon and AU scenes/scenarios, but one song that comes to mind is "Gravity" by A Perfect Circle.
It's a great song that fits Kael'thas during a period of recovery and since we only get a smidgen of that in Shadowlands, it applies to my AUs. The lyrics allude to several Kael-related things. The narrator recognizes that he has fallen on the wayside and succumbed to addiction "like a baby unable to stand on [his] own," but with a hint of optimism and strong will, which is what Kael has been shown to have very often.
The line, "I am surrendering to gravity and the unknown" meets in the middle with references that harken back to Kael's use of Gravity Lapse and the Sunstrider's propensity for the unknown. It's his reaction to the addiction and the feeling it brings that sinks him further to the point where he knows not what to expect in the falling, but then comes the defining moment of declaring for himself the will to live: "Catch me. Heal me. Lift me back up to the sun. I choose to live." The first two sentences are short but powerful realizations, almost like a dream that he is saying the words that he thought he'd never say and now he "tries" them out like the "baby" he pictured himself. Sun references are always great for Kael, and choosing to live points to his determination and perseverance in the face of adversity and the fight against literal and spiritual "demons".
Pretty simple in beat and lyrics, but great accessibility and allusions.

is your muse canon divergent in any way?
Munday Asks
Yes. As much as I try to stick to lore and canon, there are some things about canon Kael'thas that I elect to ignore or, at best, like to explore outside of that.
Fingernails The number one thing I don't care for is how Blizzard has continued to depict Kael'thas with those monstrously long fingernails. Now, I can see where that would make sense in the Burning Crusade era because he was addicted to the potency and power of fel magic. A little fact about fel magic if you don't know: it blows not only your good traits, but also your bad traits completely out of proportion. It twists other users like Gul'dan, Grommash, Illidan, and the demon hunters, and the more they take fel magic, the more you see see both emotional and physical deformities--green skin, long fingernails, green eyes (for elves), arrogance, power-hungry, etc. So I try to pretty much rationalize that Kael has those fingernails because of fel magic.
But then Shadowlands came along, and Kael had them there, too. Sooo no. Nope. I do not depict Kael with long nails ever or the red nail polish--with the exception of Burning Crusade maybe only because I can understand it was him at his most arrogant. Okay, his Reveler skin in Hearthstone has black nail polish and the inner goth in me likes this. Just not so long please.
Personality The only thing I can think of with this and it probably depends on what RP AUs I set him in, but I tend to portray (or I know at first I did portray) Kael'thas as more mellow, sensitive, and thoughtful? A little more wise than he can sometimes be even in Shadowlands, but I do praise Blizzard for including his heavy remorse, guilt, reserved nature, guardedness, etc, which is exactly how I've always done it.
RP Canon Divergences I have two AUs that explore Kael outside of canon. One is the Survivor AU where Kael survived Tempest Keep and ACTUALLY went through Wrath of the Lich all the way to current expansion. Getting to explore his potential and what an impact he could have made on the lore is so interesting (and sad) to think about. I love Lor'themar, but Kael could have had so many interesting things to say and do. Would he have faced Arthas again as the Lich King? How would he have reacted to Jaina purging the blood elves from Dalaran? What about confronting his pride in Mists of Pandaria?
The other AU is Revival, which I haven't given as much love in recent years. Basically, Kael is revived by the naaru Xera after his death in Magister's Terrace and undergoes a journey of remorse, spiritual self-discovery, and goes back to Silvermoon by beginning of Mists of Pandaria where he eventually proves himself to his people, who slowly forgive him for his crimes. He confronts Kil'jaeden, aids the Nightborne during their own insurrection against Elisande, reconnects with Jaina, etc.

at what age did you start RPing?
Munday Asks (Accepting)
Long ass time ago. I started roleplaying at 11. I was fairly active in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom community, though by no means was I a big name. I started on a few message boards, joining in on open threads that had anywhere between two to six people, maybe more, people writing the same thread. Then I would delve into the old AOL and Hotmail instant messengers. This was a little before Skype and certainly way before Discord became the norm.
My first Sonic OC was named Inferno the Hedgehog. Original name, I know. What's even more original? His weapon of choice was called the Burning Blade. His twin brother? Blaze. Other time, though, as I got older and more experienced in the roleplay scene, this character evolved into Damien Blackwell as a crested porcupine. Inferno became his nickname, and he had a wife named Seraphina. Both of them lived in a place I made up called Ignis Fauutus. Fire was the theme as you can tell, and it persists even today. (Look at who I'm RPing now, ffs.)
Got into Warcraft RP through super-casual, silly Heroes of the Storm RP with Kael'thas, Chen, and Malfurion during matches (yes, during matches), and the rest is history.

is there any other muse in this fandom you’d like to RP?
Munday Asks (Accepting)
Not really, no. Not only do I lack the time for multiple muses, but I have to be very drawn to the character to do this. A lot of love, research, tears, work, and brain energy goes into writing my muse.
If it's fanfics or stories, I'd wing it with other characters and do my best to make them accurate, but roleplaying them is pretty different, I think. In the past, I did some silly, very casual RP with Malfurion and Chen in Heroes of the Storm, but nothing serious or like I actually know in-depth how to RP the characters other than surface-level. XD

are you multiship?
Munday Asks (Accepting)
I think I may have answered this in the previous answer, but I don't yet know if I am in the romantic aspect. I haven't explored outside of Jaina Proudmoore and what little I have of Sylvanas, as I do enjoy those two too much.
Like I said, I also love Kael and Rommath as best buds forever. I also like friends, "partners-in-crime", co-workers, mentor/student (waiting for someone to come along with Varden Dawngrasp please and thank you), etc. I welcome both canon and OCs in these dynamics. It's fun to see Kael interact with his own people and the world at large.

do you have ship bias?
Munday Asks (Accepting)
If we're talking shipping for my muse, my honest answer is yes. I am very particular and stingy about the kind of ships I put on Kael'thas.
I strongly prefer ships that are nurturing, loving, and that promote the best version of Kael that he could be, which is why I love him with Jaina. It is heavily implied she could have brought the best in him if he moved past his self-doubt and courted her. Sylvanas is a close second, though with respect to Kael, he dropped his advances the second he overhead her express her public disinterest behind his back. Girl's got a bold, honest tongue, though!
I do not care for toxic ships at all, so you won't see me RPing him with the more popular ships, which are him with Illidan and Arthas. When I read both the Illidan and Arthas novels, I interpret a poor relationship dynamic and a toxic environment in the forms of alienation, neglect, insults, distrust, and lack of communication all around. Furthermore, Kael hates Arthas, and I don't care for hateships. That being said, I will still RP with an Illidan for the Burning Crusade partnership, but no romance. I'll RP with Arthas as a rival or enemy, but no romance.
Him with Rommath is fairly popular, though Rommath and Aethas is the more popular one I've seen. I honestly haven't opened myself to the possibility of Kael'thas being bisexual, but I do love him and Rommath as best friends, totally. On that note, Kael'thas is very open-minded, so I can see him making acquaintances/friendships with most races, though he does reserve his prejudices for orcs because they burned Quel'Thalas and the red dragons, whom he didn't know were actually enslaved and forced against their wills. He was only really thinking about the damage they caused and losing himself to anger and distrust. He's friends with humans clearly, night elves, could even find the Nightborne fascinating. Gnomes are pretty nifty.
