⌜☬⌟ ➡ Vanitas sat there listening to the being speak and at first he wanted to deny everything. He had worked so hard and come so far after becoming his own person. Yet he still remained with the blood on his hands and that was something that will never change. It at at him everyday how much of an idiot he was to allow himself to be used like this. There was much of his past that the Darkling wished he could change but would never be able to.

“I don’t know what happiness is...” It came out as a broken whisper. Confidence long since abandoned he who who hung his head and gaze remained fixed on the ground. Yet still the cloaked being continued hitting every part that he had once believed to true down to his core. Darkness could never, no should never know happiness for all that it takes. His heart throbbed within chest with the very pain he wished to never feel again. Regret.

“I do don’t I? After all I hurt so many. I deserve to be alone.” The way golden gaze trembled as he gave voice to the words he never wished to uttered? How could he be happy when he was one of the very few people that had once been out for blood. Drawing knees close to chest he held himself as if the pressure would fix the damage to his heart. Would he ever be allowed to make up and be forgiven for his past?

Maybe it would be better if he just disappeared since that would make everyone happy.

Who are your current favourite ships right now ?

《✾》↠Oh man has it been a hot minute since I have gotten an anon! So thank you very much for sending this in 💙 So my favorite ships is a funny thing because they can be a few different things. Do you mean my current favorite ship to write? Or do you mean ships I love but do not write? So lets break it down and focus on the first one!

Ships I love to write:

Vanitas and Riku (@darkheartedprince) - This ship has been a current hyper fixation of mine due to the long past we have from when I was first on this blog and over the many reboots. Taea has sent me down a spiral giggles and kicking my feet over these boys and it is so nice to reconnect again!

Vanitas and Nicole (@gamenu) - MEI MEI IS THE BESTEST OF BUN DOOTERS EVER AND WITHOUT THIS SHIP I WOULD NEVER HAVE MADE AN AMAZING BEST FRIEND. Now that that has been said, Nicole is his lovingly annoying Star Girlfriend. She taught him more advanced magic and she just lets him come to her when he is close to losing his sanity. She is his comfortable place and He is her protector. These two make me so soft I sob.

Vanitas and Sora (@bishonenprince) - While we have MOSTLY teased back and forth about this on Discord because CHAOS, I look forward to the day when the boys are comfortable enough to take that step! I know this will be pure chaos and honestly that will be so much fun to write and I am just excited. I still find it crazy how we knew each other years ago! Fate and all that jazz~

Vanitas and Eva (@liightbringr) - This is THE WIFE. His Ride or Die. There is no one who can hold a Candle to Eva in this ship and their verse. When I tell you Val is the bestest of best friends it still wouldn't be enough to tell you how much I adore and love this woman and her muse.

There are a few more I use to ship but due to me coming back to Tumblr and most of my old ships gone its hard to say but currently these are ships I adore. While I want to go into more details for the second half of the ask I think I will stop here so this doesn't become like 3 miles long. Thank you again!!

Romance & Relationship headcanons: Accepting Anonymous: 12, 13, 14, and 16! for the romance headcanons!

12. does your muse get flustered easily? how would they typically react to compliments from someone they are interested in/dating?

For Vanitas he tries to play it cool and act like nothing affect him but when dating or in a committed relationship he is much easier to get a reaction from. What type of reaction? Demands on what is being done to him but he doesn't control his emotions and expressions as much as he would those he knows or strangers. Compliments are rare for him but this answer can come in three parts: Starting to date, Dating, Long Term/Marriage (yes I think long term is its own category). Complimenting Vanitas when they are just starting to date will have him scoffing lightly denying said compliment only to have him pull his lover into a hug. He isn't sure he believes them but he knows for them to say nice things about him they must really like him a lot. Once they have gotten into that more settled honeymoon phase Vanitas is more receptive to compliments but in the total Tsundere fashion. Blushing and trying to hide said blush while denying the compliment in any way he can. That doesn't stop the smile on his face and the way his heart his racing faster because "Oh god why are they calling me cute, they are so much cuter?!" reactions. He accepts the compliments still but is much more bashful and easier to get a more emotional reaction from. Once the relationship reaches stages of either long term or marriage compliments no longer phase him. He will accept them with a gentle kiss to forehead and return a sweet compliment of his own. He has become comfortable and knows that his partner is his person and they would never do anything to hurt him.

13. what traits does your muse value in a romantic partner?

What he values most in a partner is kindness and understanding because he needs someone who can learn of his past and accept him. Vanitas is a very damaged and emotionally stunted individual so someone willing to help him become better means more to him than he will ever admit. Yes someone kind and sweet are nice but he has also seen kind and sweet people lose their shine and become hateful. While he has also seen reverse he typically gravitates to those who do not harm him once they learn of his past and how he wants to do better.

14. what traits does your muse want to avoid when it comes to choosing a romantic partner?

Emotional Manipulation. If he even remotely feels like he is being controlled or Manipulated in any fashion he will snap and fight or flight kicks in. This mostly leads to Fight but he will instantly lose all respect - basically any emotion he feels towards said person because they remind him of his former Master. He has been controlled and tormented before, he refuses to be put back in that situation again by someone 'claiming' to want the best for him. Vanitas is not one to take this type negative feeling without trying to harm the one causing it.

16. what is/are your muse's love language(s)?

Vanitas is a tie with Words of Affirmation and Acts of Service. Which makes sense given his past so he adores people who take that time to show they care.
