Since you've mentioned Linus' struggles with homosexuality before what would his reaction have been to Leggy making flirty comments at Lloyd (or Linus one time, or other guys in general) back in their Black Fang days

But he is highly conflicted! 

Where it concerns his brother, Linus would be a mix of...things. He’s partly protective over Lloyd in the realm of romance and sex, simply because he knows Lloyd has issues with it. So part of him is very “don’t fucking flirt with him unless you intend to really care about him, I will break your fucking face”. Another part of him wants to just take the whole thing like a joke, like he doesn’t care. It’s Legault, he’s probably just doing it for shits and giggles, so it’s easier to just laugh at it and pretend like it doesn’t make him absolutely squirrely to see. 

He’s also very aggressively scared that Legault is so open about it, and that Lloyd doesn’t shut it down at all (I feel like I need to make a post about that later eyy). He knows how a majority of people might react to it, how cruel and horrible they could be, and he doesn’t want to see either of them caught up in that sort of violent reaction because Lloyd is his brother and Legault is close. 

Linus definitely tried to punch Legault in the face if he ever tried to flirt with him, but after the initial panic-aggression, he’s grudgingly curious when Legault messes around with random dudes.

Legault is probably the most openly out there person Linus ever came in contact with in his living time. It pisses him off because he’s curious and drawn to it, and he’s frustrated with his own lack of security when it comes to those feelings personally. He only ever acts on those desires when he can make sure it never sees the light of day, never makes it back to him, and here Legault is, comfortable to just flaunt around in it. He’s jealous of that.

But, Legault would also be the only other person Linus would feel like he could ever ask or talk about it with. Even if he goes about it in the most round about, ass-backwards ways, he’s desperate to have some sort of guidance, I suppose? Or to at least feel like someone else gets those weird, wrong (in his head) parts of himself and won’t immediately toss him to the dogs for it.

stupid summer things cause my brain is dead but my fingers wanna write something! most definitely a mix of canon things & modern things cause it be like that...

swimming is the most obvious thing! lloyd’s a good swimmer, the graceful bastard, but he mostly sticks to the shallows out of a habit of basically needing to be the Lifeguard™️ because he’s mr responsible. linus is physically incapable of entering any body of water without cannon-balling. he’s not as good of a swimmer but he makes the most of it. he will dunk whoever he can physically toss in the name of fun.

tying in with the swimming, going to the beach is a...stereotypical summer thing. bern’s beaches tend to be cold and sand is riddled with pebbles -- not super great for a typical fun day in the sun. they have to head into lycia for that, and they can only do the beach for so long because these boys *slaps the reed bros* will melt faster than a snowball in the summer sun. linus will run around in the sun until it takes the raging puppy energy out of him and then he’s grumpy and sunburned for the rest of the trip. lloyd generally sticks to the shade and tries to stay covered up, still manages to get burnt to hell and back somehow. he is a good surfer though! they both take turns playing out in the sun with nino cause they are good big bros.

expectation vs reality: two hot guys getting to the beach and you expect it to be the stereotypical montage of attractiveness but joke’s on you they’re dying from heat exhaustion and sweating like pigs--

camping is a big thing in the reed fam! nothing quite like hiking out into the wilderness, far away from anyone else or any towns, to sleep under the stars and just get back to nature. 100% bring the dogs for some hunting. its some good family bonding time and really relaxing. 

amusement parks are really only something they started to do with nino, cause they...they spoil the baby sis. linus loves all the rides and will always be up for going on any and all with nino. lloyd despises roller coasters so he watches and gets pictures. always stay for the fireworks! nino gets to pick out a souvenir every time, no matter what. 

road trips sound like an absolute disaster so you know they do it. they swap off driving and sleeping. lloyd always knows where he’s going and linus always gets them lost or gets sidetracked by hokey tourist traps, so it takes them longer to get anywhere than it should. fighting over the radio is a sacred rite. singing to the radio regardless of whatever station its on. driving through the night with the help of an unhealthy amount of energy drinks before they have to stop somewhere to sleep.

“No, I’m not eating anything you bought from the gas station. Roll the window down now for when you inevitably vomit an hour after eating, please.” “Fuck you, this tastes fine!” 20 mins later “It tastes less fine for its encore performance, pull over...”

water balloon fights have been banned ever since linus nailed lloyd in the face hard enough to give him a bloody nose. linus says he’s just bitter that he lost. lloyd has yet to confirm or deny this.

Would love to have a family! But the aforementioned COMMITMENT ISSUES makes it very, very difficult to get past anything more significant than fuck buddies with most people for him. He has a lot of fears of loving someone, and then having them abandon him because -- let’s be real -- he’s not the ideal partner or person. So, he tends to ditch a relationship before he can get ditched.  ▌𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 :  Regard several above segments. He dresses like a bondage biker & I hate him & his brother’s sense of fashion. If it has leather, belts and shows off his physical power, he’ll be into it. Tones colors down a little because of work, but still wears brighter colors than Lloyd. ▌𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 : His family! Literally excluding all mother figures, both his biological as well as the latter step mother that came into the picture. ▌𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐒 :  He’s that big, excited dog that you might be playing with ine minute, and then all of a sudden he has your arm in his jaws. He’s incredibly extroverted!
