I think I'm going for it. I'm not gonna immediately update their verse for Fallout just yet but-

born in a vault in Nevada and grew up as one of the more skilled tech experts and engineers for the vault. studied hacking and reprogramming bots on their own time and with the help of one of the nicer elders.

willingly left the vault at 18 with their twin brother Crane due to the mistreatment by their parents and no longer wanting to stay in that environment as they'd rather take their chances in the wastes.

is recruited to be one of House's helpers and Corvus accepted due to the significant amount of caps that was being offered to them. Since this gave them and Crane a nice place to stay on the New Vegas strip they went about their duties without complaint and without question.

They never meet Mr. House, already thinking it's strange that no one had ever seen him nor had anyone really entered the Lucky 38. (They hadn't either, doing most of the work he wanted from them strictly elsewhere with the bots overseeing their work.) That included in data and info collected for him.

When Six came around they started getting curious, but had no intention on standing in their way regardless of what they chose. Though, the default canon for Corvus in terms of ending is 'Independent New Vegas'. Especially since Corvus had no easy way of simply quitting the job when they had gotten too deep into it. Six killing off House was their ticket out.

After the events of New Vegas, the twins pick up and move to the Commonwealth. Corvus was never a companion nor a vital character in New Vegas, but that's what leads them to being a Fallout 4 Companion.

Corvus is around 24 during the events of Fallout 4 as they were 18 during the events of New Vegas.

They meet the Sole Survivor (at least specifically River by default if not interacting with a Sole Survivor) some time after the events of finding Kellogg. That's where they're found in the Rob-Co location surrounded by deathclaws and held up in one of the security rooms after warning the Sole Survivor via radio.

Corvus, canonically to River at least, joins the Minutemen after and has a personal quest in order to find and rescue their brother Crane who also joins the order. Their personal quest doesn't take long to achieve because it's not entirely affinity based and both the twins become available as a duo set of companions(or one at a time if the Sole Survivor wishes, but River usually keeps the two together).

The two are capable of being paired with Dogmeat as well, so if traveling with Corrine and Crane the canine is often still around as well.

Corrine comes with an xp buff when hacking and retrieving Crane doubles the xp buff. Yes I still think about the game details.

Corrine does still do the upgrade to the Sole Survivor's pipboy allowing them to be communicated with. Crane having his own also becomes available to be communicated with. This function serves a large purpose in finding him during their personal quest. The two also have a function that gives them map markers to be located.

TLDR: You get both of the copy and paste duo as companions now and this also means Corrine technically has a New Vegas verse.

I'll eventually spew more about this someday but this is as far as I go for now ajdskajd.

He'd just returned to Goodneighbor after taking on another job for the Mayor, and as he'd gone back to the Phoenix's Fire to deposit off his weapons and loot for the day, he caught sight of Corvus by the doorway.

"You were waiting for me?" He gave a little chuckle as he led them inside, pulling them towards the old couch that he'd crashed on so many times after a long day. Gently easing them down, he straddled their lap, brilliant azure eyes meeting mismatched ones.

"Glad you did. I missed you." Not that he'd been gone that long, but being away from them was always rough. Pushing them back slightly, he gave them a longing look before he dove in for a deep and hungry kiss, one hand reaching up to lace fingers into their hair. He loved the way they made him feel, and he didn't want to let them go.

The mercenary did eventually have to pull back for air, breathing a little heavier now. "Don't worry. I'll always come back to you." A faint grin settled on his lips. / @poeticphoenix this whole thing has had me in a goddamn chokehold since I saw it thanks maxie

☠ ⟼ of course they were waiting for him. they'd want to deny it, especially since they never waited around like a lost puppy for anyone before he came along, but they often found themself pacing around and lurking near the door the moment they had word that he was returning. just as the question was asked they had opened their mouth to argue against it as the heat rushed to their cheeks to give away their embarrassment, but their mouth just as quickly snapped shut when they were suddenly put in an entirely new position.

their entire will to speak disappeared with him being so close and their mind had gone completely blank the moment they felt his lips against theirs. although they reciprocated immediately, their body was frozen at first, but not from shock. truthfully, no matter how hard they tried to hide it away, they often found it hard to really function when it came to him. before they could finally move and gently hold his face in their hands he had already pulled away.

❝ i know. ❞ they answered without an ounce of hesitation. even with the worry that so persistently gnawed their chest, how could they doubt him when he put it like that? they let out a breathless laugh, their gaze filled with nothing less than warm adoration.

Corrine, Lydia(@dominaxnoctis), and River(@aviiatrix) in order of their Fallout verses. (River's main, but Lydia and Corrine's AUs.) I saw the apocalypse backgrounds available and I was too tempted. Also They didn't have heterochromia for green and blue so I just went with Corrine's main eye color they were born with.

☠ ⟼ awareness for their rambling had long been thrown to the wind ages ago, but if they had realized just how long they had been going off about their new theoretical idea for the pipboy then they might have felt genuinely bad for the poor mercenary that caught the bulk of their excitement as they poured all of their thoughts out. it was usually him if it wasn't the poor general who had to deal with it and once they started they rarely ever noticed that they might have been going way too far.

❝ yeah, sure, it might be useless most of the time, but i bet if that thing could detect your heart rate it would come in handy at some point. your heart rate shifting can indicate plenty of things. the only problem would be actually finding a way to make it read a pulse considering you'd have to twist the device in order to- ❞ they should've expected that he would have enough of it. at least, they were certain that must have been what had sprung him into action in the first place. the moment he began approaching them they froze in place, confused by the sudden movement.

corvus knew he'd never hurt them. even when they felt him grab their arms and pin them against the wall at either side of their head he still had their full trust. yet, it didn't keep the bewildered look out of their dual-colored eyes as everything moved far too quickly for them to process. had that very idea they were going on about come to fruition he would have been up to tell how fast and heavy he had caused their heart to beat in their chest. especially when they finally felt his lips roughly moving against their own. they couldn't help how quickly they responded to it, far too eagerly than they'd ever like to admit.

they let out a pleased hum against him as they mindlessly tried moving their arms against his grip in an attempt to pull him closer. and when he finally moved away, they let out a disappointed huff.

☠ ⟼ it was clear that he had likely become busy when he stopped responding through the pipboy... or worse. sometimes they had wondered if giving him the same feature they had given the general was a good idea, but only because they could feel the worry gnaw at their core as they wondered if the moments he had disappeared for any long period of time during the day had been something more than any rational explanation that should have come to mind. their mind often wandered towards the worst assumptions after losing crane. being close to someone else was difficult following that, especially when corvus cared more for him than they would ever like to admit. they sometimes wished they could ensure his safety, regardless of how capable he was of protecting himself.

they tried their best to wave away the thought as they finally returned to good neighbor after finishing a job for the minutemen. the sun was only barely out, the natural light for the day slowly dwindling. the hacker barely stopped for anything on their way back to the base, the neon sign above it still a beacon of rest calling to their tired, aching body. they weren’t sure when it happened, when his mercenary company had become the place they returned to for comfort after traveling through the wastes, but they knew good neighbor had arguably become home again. not that the mayor minded having another set of helping hands back in town.

the sound of boots dragging tiredly against the floor could be heard as they were unable to pick up their feet to properly walk and their bag was all too quickly thrown to the side near the front entrance. they barely registered their surroundings while inching further inside at first, but when they did eventually allow their green and blue hues to scan the room, the fiery hair of the very commonwealth phoenix they mulled over the safety of was hard to miss.

he was draped across old, dusty couch while lying completely still in a peaceful rest.

'he must've been exhausted.' corvus hummed in response and, much to aito's confusion, began shrugging off their coat and walking towards him. there was only a moment of hesitation before they draped it over his form with a soft, tired smile. they leaned down and pressed a swift kiss to his forehead.

Warning: This is me blabbing about the hacker in their Fallout 4 verse ahead because I was talking to a friend about their introduction as a companion.

The sole survivor can meet them by connecting to a radio station named in binary code on their pip boy when approaching an old Robco Facility. The moment they connect to the station they can hear a voice over the radio repeatedly trying to warn them not to step any closer to the facility as it’s been infested by deathclaws. It ends off on “You can make a stupid decision and try if you want, be my guest, but I’d recommend turning around and going back where you came from.”

If they decide to clear the facility, they can find Corvus leisurely sitting in the control room where the security cameras are which reveals that they had been watching the entire encounter. And that they had somehow repaired the cameras. Depending on which faction the sole survivor had decided to go with by that point, Corvus will respond accordingly especially if they’re wearing that factions gear. They won’t go with a sole survivor that is a part of the Brotherhood without a series of high level speech checks and they’ll outright refuse one that is with the Institute. Being apart of the Railroad or the Minutemen makes it easier to recruit them.

Their faction also depends on how easy it is to gain affinity and they are to an extent a morally grey character depending on the action(so stealing, intimidation checks, etc) so some decisions that usually lower the affinity of companions may not have any effect on theirs unless it’s directly harming dogmeat, other companions, or innocents. They aren’t a romanceable companion due to the nature of their relationship with the sole survivor meaning to only be platonic.

Their companion quest is brought up after the sosu reaches a certain level of affinity just like the other companions. They’ll bring up their missing twin brother and talk to them about a lead they had gotten in order to find him. (I’ll blab about that in a separate post later since it would make this longer skdjsksk.)

They’re able to reprogram turrets for the sosu and hack into terminals. Game mechanics aside since they are directly related to my sole survivor character River, their radio station stays available and depending on the mission they’re sometimes able to act as a guide since Corvus later designs and gives River a way to communicate with them through the pip boy.

TLDR: bonk the deathclaws and you can have the gremlin

☠ ⟼ his response caused them to titter and shoot him an odd, yet thoroughly amused look. the general was right. he really was a peculiar character, but it wasn't something they disliked. far from it, in fact. they had immediately felt at ease, the tension in their shoulders leaving even though he wasn't exactly familiar company.

☠ ⟼ frozen in their place, dual colored hues widened in a mix of panic and shock, they could do nothing but watch the scene unfold before them. corrine could handle their own problems, their own malfunctioning as the word around them fell apart, but when it came to someone else's they were nothing short of useless. at least, that was something they were sure of themself especially in moments such as this when the words felt as if they were lodged in their throat, threatening to suffocate them as they struggled to get them out.

ruined it? ruined what? they wanted to ask, but even that felt like the wrong thing to say. questioning what was happened was felt like the wrong thing to do. it was only when they were able to place their own feelings aside that corrine slowly made their way to him, sitting in front of him and folding a reluctant hand over his.

there was a pause of silence, their face displaying an alarming amount of conflicting emotions as they tried to sort through their thoughts to find the right things to say. if there even truly was a right thing to say. when they did finally find their voice, their tone remained as gentle as possible.

❝ i'm listening. ❞ it may have been all they could muster, but it was enough to convey that they were there at least.

☠ ⟼ their lungs burned as they panted in a desperate attempt to regain some of their oxygen, hands planted firmly on their thighs as they were hunched over while staring in the direct of where they had ran from. at least it was a bunch of humans and not some of the gnarly creatures the irradiated land had to offer. that was the only thing that had come to mind when maisie spoke and they shook their head hesitantly and lazily shrugged their shoulders while they made some attempt to respond.

❝ i don't... think so. ❞ they stood up straight when they were able, wincing at the potential feeling of soreness in their body that they knew would be prevalent the next day. they were just happy her and fox were around. having to deal with the commonwealth alone for a long while was a task itself, especially since most of the time they didn't travel with river. and having a friend who understood them for once was nice.

finally, they laughed, eye creasing at the corners and dual colored hues brightening at the relief of their escape. corrine still had yet to come down from their adrenaline high, only making the situation seem that much more humorous to them. fun wasn't the word they would use for it, but it certainly wasn't dull in the slightest.

it felt far too good to stop, but they managed to at least pull away long enough to speak again.
