"oh, good. make yourself at home in the meantime," evie replies, smiling at alice before turning back to her vanity to get herself ready. she definitely doesn't mind alice having around, either, likes the company. she's done her face so many times in so many different ways, she could do it with any sort of distraction. she laughs, nodding. "okay, i will." a pause as she starts her makeup. "how have you been adjusting?"

“i don’t mind,” alice told her. they liked watching people do their makeup and the process it took for them to get ready. they'd realized that the first time alice had been getting ready for an event with someone else. they’d fallen behind watching the other’s routine. it was fascinating. “just tell me when you want me to turn around.”

it’s always exciting to evie to be given a new project, be it a simpler commission, or, like today, getting someone ready for an event, with alice westergaard sitting in her chair. she’s leaned in close to alice, expression focused. their circles never really crossed on the isle, with alice volunteering more for uma, but as a fellow princess who never really got the respect she deserves, evie finds herself understanding the feeling, wanting to make up for it in what she can do for them.

evie dabs a gentle finger against alice’s cheek, a final touch, before pulling away. “what do you think?”
