my favorite thing about resident evil 7 is that we have Ethan being chased by a whole family of mentally deranged people who wants to murder him in a house full of hyper-evolved fungus generated bioweapons and also has his hand cut off with a chainsaw by his wife WHO MIND YOU IS SUPPOSEDLY FUCKING DEAD — and yet there's only two instances in the game in which you see him visibly panicking:

when a giant cockroach crawls on his hand

when he's squeezing through a cramped space and centipedes start falling over him

he saw the virus outbreak happening outside and said "wait, i have the perfect outfit for this situation"

girls will say "this is my comfort game" and THIS is the fucking game.

personally i would never succumb to bloodlust and become a beast. if the blood moon rose into the sky after the eminent creature assigned to protect the barrier between dreams and reality by hiding the horrors the pale blood moon was supposed to bring was defeated, i would simply ignore it.

the cinematography of this scene though... the lighting reflecting off his beautiful, silky, golden hair, his beard and leather jacket and gloves? i'm in love.
