.͙͘͡★ a private, closed verse of adisorn "adi" chakrii nerina, written for orionverse. follow the crown princess on a journey of self-expression, letting go of pre-dated ideas, exploring the skies, taking your first step on dry land & giving love a chance. — encompassed by the 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 , like the 𝐒𝐄𝐀 hugs the 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍.

⋆ story : adisorn chakrii, otherwise known as adisorn nerina, is the current standing crown princess of nymbralis, second in line for the throne to her brother. she is known across the realm of nymbralis for her beauty and quiet, reserved nature, along with her particular gift in healing. although nymbras are a closed off, somewhat secretive community, adisorn is spoken about between hushed whispers and sung in drunken songs within the many taverns across orion, and spoken as if she is the crowned jewel of the house of nerina; one is considered eternally lucky to set their eyes on her. from pouring her powers into nymbralis' many healing coral reefs, to attending foreign affairs to be 'easy on the eyes' during talks smothered with tension, to going on walks throughout the realm with her promised husband of house celesmaris, there is rarely a time she has a moment to herself, but, in the quiet of her pearly white room at the top of the east tower, adisorn wishes, hopes for a life she's never had; one filled with adventure.

⋆ appearance : adisorn was born "traditionally" male, but identifies as female since her 16th birthday, and is referred to as such; gender is not upheld to such high standards in nymbralis. she is slightly below in height (roughly 5'4), and is thin in her build. her hair is a washed out brown, her lower nape fins bringing flashes of iridescent green between sections, and the fins on her ears are quite large, iridescent and sea foam green in color. unlike other traditional kelpian mermaids, adisorn's tail is sea foam green in color due to her proximity to the surface, as well as her eyes that are big, and doll-like in nature. the scales across her skin glitter under both sun and moonlight, but only hug her waist and shoulders, and her nails, although longer than the usual human, are kept well trimmed and tidy. adisorn primarily stays within her mermaid form, so when she does change to her humanoid form, her skin is nearly clear of any scales manifesting, though her hands are webbed, translucent in color.

#⃞⠀⠀⎯⎯ ⠀⠀♥︎ ⠀⠀⠀curse of the sea⠀⠀┆⠀⠀origin.

the curse of the sea has plagued adisorn's family for countless centuries, brought upon their ancestors after consuming the flesh of a siren in search of immortality. taken aback by the sheer greed of humans, poseidon cursed those who ingested mermaid flesh; you are what you eat after all. instead of being granted the immortality they so desperately searched for, those within the bloodline of said mortals were to bear the curse of the sea until their lives eventually came to a halt, lost to history with nobody to tell the tale.

those who have fallen victim to the curse of the sea are ultimately, sirens. some are born with webbed fingers and feet, scales on their skin and water within their lungs. enough of the same kin have since come together over the years and have formed tight knit communities globally, supporting one another and keeping their true identities a secret for their own safety. despite longing for the ocean, most families will settle within cities and the countryside to control their instincts, and most live out normal, human lives; mostly undetected.

adisorn is a water spirit, manifested in the form of a siren as a product of this same curse, otherwise known less formally as a mermaid of thai origin. despite being a siren for the entirety of her life, adisorn is rather out of touch with herself and the abilities she possesses, and is only recently coming to terms with the fact that she isn't completely what she seems. this side of adisorn is one she doesn't welcome warmly, and she is rather afraid of what she will become if she tunes into her true self.

#⃞⠀⠀⎯⎯ ⠀⠀♥︎ ⠀⠀⠀curse of the sea⠀⠀┆⠀⠀notable traits unique to adisorn*.

transformation 𖦹 —⠀⠀ if attuned to their instincts, sirens can change into their water form on command. this doesn't automatically happen once they come into contact with water. in fact, those out of tune with their water form can't change at all, no matter how hard they try. this doesn't essentially mean that they got out the easy way. when a siren hasn't changed to their water form after enough time has passed, scales will manifest upon their skin; unnatural and horrific to those not used to it, dry to touch. after some time, these scales will shed.

some describe the process as being extremely uncomfortable. adisorn has a developed habit of removing these scales by herself, usually with the help of a shaving tool; the process is not pleasant in the slightest, of course. once the scales are removed, they resemble that of sea glass.

𖦹 additionally, those who stray too far from the ocean will become lethargic, weak, cold, and underweight. their body calls for the ocean; half of it relying on her bounty. since adisorn has lived in the countryside and cities for most of her life, this heavily applies to her. in turn, those who bear the curse become incredibly emotional under the phase of the full moon, and their emotions are near impossible to control. if a mermaid has strayed from the sea for too long, the full moon will effect them even more, resulting in a loss of control of their supernatural abilities. empathy is heightened for mermaids, and some struggle with the emotional weight and baggage of it.

physical changes 𖦹 —⠀⠀ each siren possesses a tail of their own, the color seemingly random, but ultimately dependent on the owner. sirens of the curse also possess a mark somewhere on their body, small in size. adisorn's tail is iridescent green in color and is open ocean in nature; intricate, small scales, two fins at the top of their hips, two large fins at the base of her tail and an additional fin right above where their tail fans out. it reaches the same length as her legs and starts at their hips, scales fading into their skin along her waist. it is bright and seems to reflect light like a mirror with clear skies. her tail is extremely flexible, resembling the same flexibility as a cats tail. nothing covers her chest, and her unique mark is two small, messily drawn stars on the inside of her right thigh. upon changing, adisorn's hair becomes dirty blond in color, beach waved.

𖦹 most sirens are susceptible to seafood allergies; adisorn has a rather aggressive allergy, leading to her developing a slight eating disorder in her early years. along with this, adisorn has poor eyesight out of the water, as do most mermaids. all that bear the curse of the sea possess the heightened ability to swim, and most will pursue creative arts over "blue collared" jobs. sirens should stray from chlorine treated water over fresh water, as the chemicals dry out their skin faster than normal humans.

𖦹 some sirens are known to cry tears of pearls, beryl or aquamarine, others are known for their tears possessing healing qualities. either way, they are a sought after material by those who know the right people. adisorn doesn't cry tears of jewels, but her tears, unknown to herself, have potent healing abilities. they only have this trait under the face of the full moon, and are iridescent pearl in color, seemingly glowing if one is so lucky to set their eyes on them. her parents have been overprotective of her since birth, fearing the harvesting of her tears which is particularly rampant in thailand.

𖦹 allure. put simply, adisorn has a magnetic, beautiful aura to her, something captivating and hard to put your finger on. her voice is known to run smoothly and is almost song-like in nature with how they pronounce words. with this, adisorn can perform various enchanting spells when she sings, known to lure people in, particularly so they become infatuated with her and listen to her beck and call; she doesn't do this unless consent is given however, and she isn't particularly gifted either. known to hold eye contact that can oftentimes be unsettling.

𖦹 her dreams tend to be oddly specific and somewhat telepathic, but it's incredibly hit or miss. adisorn is the type to have a dream and wake up in a bucket of her own sweat, convinced it was the reality they were actually living.

𖦹 unknown to herself, adisorn possesses the ability to control water to a certain degree. it's nothing crazy, but it's enough to make someone turn their heads. additionally, if combined with their own tears, the water they manipulate also possesses healing abilities. as of recently, adisorn has become aware of her ability to control water, and while she's not very good at it yet, it's definitely exciting.

𖦹 capable of water breathing, and can apply this to those around her depending on their bond and the siren's power capabilities. as of right now, she can only aid her partner with water breathing, but it takes a lot of energy out of her. is also capable of luck bestowal, often used centuries ago to bid ships good luck on waters.

𖦹 possesses aquatic empathy and telepathy to a certain degree, however, since adisorn has incredibly underdeveloped powers, she has only been able to read the minds of fish as of late; it is her dream to communicate with aquatic fauna.
