"everybody's going," adisorn starts, leaning in to examine a particularly stubborn blemish on her chin; nobody else would have noticed it but her, obviously, but still, it had to come off before tonight. "it's only like, the biggest party anyone has ever thrown at UH, and it's spring break! you can't say no to that!" despite her excitement, it had to be off-putting to see adi so excited about a party of all things, but with new changes, particularly mermaid changes, came a new outlook on life, or at least that's what she wanted to embrace for now; whether the party was on the beach or not. they could stay dry, steer clear of the water, pass up on any offers and blame their choice of outfit...but they had to make it work, they had to try to be normal, at least adisorn had to, she had to or she'd go crazy!

"don't look at me like that," with a pout, adi makes her way to her closet, pulling out a cute slip on dress, holding it up in front of yifei. "c'mon...don't you wanna feel cute? go with me, it'll be fun, pleasepleaseplease!"

“it's dangerous. we don't even know the extent of how we change!” yifei began to freak out now, and ramble – two of her worst traits. “what if i get offered a shrimp cocktail and i eat it, and then i change? what if a flying fish comes out of the water and slaps me out of the face, and then i change? what if i just randomly change without touching water?!” she groaned, taking a second outside of her manic panic to sit up and stare at her best friend, mimicking the pout on her face. "i don't even like shrimp …. but it could happen.”

adi, in all of her excitement, can't exactly not agree with yifei and all of her doubts. but still, who said they had to stop living just because they were...well, mermaids all of a sudden! she already gave up her long-held love for surfing with a brave face, but attacking her social life? that was overkill! sighing in similar fashion, adisorn lays back against her bed beside yifei, the top of their heads touching. "worrying about everything is just going to make us miserable, fei..." and she knows this to be true, because she had been worrying, non-stop, actually. "like, i get what you mean, but i just wanna have fun...like everyone else..." reaching across, she takes hold of her best friend's hand, giving it a squeeze. "come on, we deserve this, we've been way too cautious for too long...nobody will even be in the water!"

and like always, adisorn picks herself out of their doom spiral and sits up, quick to get to her feet to rummage within her closet once more, grabbing a matching pair of shoes for the dress she so generously pushed yifei's way. "you can wear these? and...and i'll do your make-up? y'know...with the lashes you can't get right?" she's back to pouting ⎯ if anyone else seen her like this, her reputation would be ruined. "i know you want to, and hey, i'll even say we both have a shrimp intolerance."
