001  .  the  beginning .  holy  cross ,  1997 .  you  are  born  the  youngest  of  four  to  grady  and  paulette  abernathy .   their  only  son .  during  infancy ,  you  are  a  doll  for  your  older  sisters  to  play  with  —  home  is  living  room  dancing ,  and  kitchen  table  bills .  you  do not  have  a  lot ,  but  you  have  eachother  —  and  that  is  enough .  your  mother  is  the  most  beautiful  woman  in  the  world ,  and  your  father  is  even  cooler  than  superman :  he  is  your  best  friend ,  and  you  become  his .  he  takes  you  everywhere .  and  even  if  he  didn ‘ t ,  everyone  is  sure  that  you  would  follow .
