   i checked and it’s been [checks notes] almost 4 months since my last normal starter call so guess what time it is! this will be an uncapped starter call because they’ll most likely be small things, nothing too big! may or may not include: shenanigans, weird questions, questionable food tastes and much more. maybe even fall/autumn/halloween related! proceed at ur own risk.

fucked myself up thinking about the servants ritsuka is contracted to feeling her intense fear before and while she dies bc sometimes if the bond is good and both the servant or master are in danger the command seals will throb and deliver pain to both of them. much to think about.

  so as always with new story content, i’ll be mia to play it through and scream in real time! lostbelt 6.5 is tomorrow so this is just the routine post of me saying I’ll be away from my blogs for a bit to play the event! seeing as i usually update ritsuka’s canon point to match the JP servers, she’ll eventually be bumped up to point 6.5. no worries though, I won’t be posting about spoilers and such on here while I play and for the first month or so after canon point update, anything that involves info about 6.5 will be tagged with FGO Spoilers!

      I’m also using this to say that I have surgery next year in early January, but the next few weeks will be filled with a doctor’s appointments and going back and forth, so replies will be even more slow! i don’t think I’ll need to do a semi-hiatus though. as always, if you need to reach me then you can ask for my discord or catch me over on my twitter, it’s locked but i’m fine with reqs!

[screams quietly] okay so! this is a starter call winterfes, uncapped for the time being! though ritsuka has been....through A Lot the past few months and isn’t feeling as cheery as she’d like, she’s still gonna try and have fun because on god she needs it. as for activities, she’ll be pretty much checking out a little of everything!

    i’ll make these not too long and try to get them out before 6.5 drops because the raids will have my full attention then

PHYSICALLY

Ritsuka is just, an average human and a third rate mage, so there’s nothing too different about how you! unless you weren’t human originally. you need mystic codes to use magecraft, but they’re all fashionable!

you are fully unlocked: all mystic codes +their spells back. you also have a high resistance to poison and mana, as well as immunity to mystics under god-level [ think of being charmed, paralyzed, etc etc]. on your right hand is Command Seals, used to issue commands to your Servants but you’ve not once needed to use them in Spirale (save for Mistified)

okay here’s where we get deep. you may be human now but you’ve suffered a lot physically and it shows. your body is covered in scars of all types. (for more description, they’re listed in her stats page here) some of the more newer scars are darker and more visible on your skin (i.e. a bite mark on your left from when you shoved your arm into a Shades mouth during Security Breach), but the most prominent one is the one you received from dying during Mistified from BB’s scythe. it’s mostly healed, but you will feel the ghost sensation of being impaled, as well as sharp jabs of pain every so often on both your abdomen and upper back, between your shoulders blades.

 originally, your fingertips were the only part of your hands discolored black (due to near necrosis from pushing yourself too far back during Uruk) but that has now extended all the way down to your wrists, fading in color to your regular skintone. this is a result of the toll the Black Barrel Replica has had on you. while feeling in your fingertips was on and off, it extends to where the black covers your hands. sometimes you feel things normally, others you need to grip in order to even be sure you’re holding something as not to drop it. your Command Seals are still vibrant but it looks off to others. you no longer wear gloves to hide the discoloration

 you have plenty of body aches and pain due to all your body has been through, both in your world and on the island. you push through them, of course. they don’t bother you because you’ve grown used it, much to the chagrin of others

you are strong! physically, humanly strong. you’ve also recieved hand to hand combat training from your bff Aelin, so you know how to handle yourself.

 sy goodbye to your sleep schedule and get ready for only sleeping 3,4 hours before waking up at 2 am. you get just enough rest to avoid any dark circles under your eyes, but that’s about it

you are reckless. like, massively reckless. the ‘ looks death in the eye and doesn’t flinch’ sort of reckless

EMOTIONALLY

 you are naturally a kind and sunny person, but after joining Chaldea and being all you’ve been through, this has extended to acting as some sort of mask or cover. you use the smiles and the cheerfulness to cover up everything else, you don’t want to burden anyone with your emotions

 you do not talk about your death. you haven’t mentioned it once ever since after returning from the Abyss and you do not plan to. 

you always carry the guilt of destroying the Lostbelts with you. you do not put it down or ignore it because you can’t. you owe it to them, don’t you? to remember them, to remember the faces belonging to a world you helped snuff out to save your own. you carry that guilt around your shoulders like a blanket and use it to keep going. 

you always think people can do better than you. that there’s someone out there who is better for your job, that maybe if it was anyone else, things wouldn’t have gotten like this. you don’t feel as if you are enough for this, that someone else can do more, but you don’t have the luxury of making this about ‘you’ and you don’t. you may feel like you aren’t enough, but you must do this. you don’t have a choice. you have to be enough, you have to be

it is because of this that you’re self-sacrificial, practically martyring yourself to save the world. whatever is asked of you, you do. you give it. and you don’t complain about it. you can’t be selfish and most of the time, the world doesn’t ask before it takes. but it’s fine. so long as you’re still standing, still able to fight, then you keep going and you keep giving. 

your empathy and compassion is bordering on self-destruction. selfishness is not really in your vocabulary, but you don’t really think you can be.

Ritsuka is now a 23 year old college student rather than humanity’s last master! she goes to the local college, studying for a profession she hasn’t quite decided on yet! so it’s very common to spot her at the library at 3 am with a bowl of mac-n-cheese as she’s pouring over books and on her fourth cup of coffee

 as she’s...no longer burdened by So Much, she’s much more livelier and it isn’t a mask! she’s very much a sunshine girl still, but without that added weight of regret and sorrow and loss

did i mention no more scars? no more scars! at least, none of the ones gotten during the f/go timeline, but she has some small ones from silly things like tripping over her feet or accidentally injuring her hand making dinner. 

 rather than the command seals being command seals, they’re actually a tattoo that she got to match the one her brother has

yes, her brother! for this au, Ritsuka and...well, Ritsuka are siblings! fraternal twins, to be exact and yes they still have the same name no don’t ask about it

as for her cafe she currently has, yes she still is the owner of it and still runs it as per usual! she’s just now struggling to balance it and school life and we all know how hectic that can be

knows absolutely nothing about Servants and the like since they don’t exist in this AU, but she is surprisingly versed on a lot of myths and legends and figures throughout history and fiction, as learning about them is a hobby of hers

  [chants soiree over and over and over] so, while Ritsuka is very much aware of the stars and their funny words and funny games not trusting of any of it, she’s still very much going to attend because she loves dancing! as for whether or not she’ll wear a mask given by the pixies, she would for a time-- simply because she doesn’t really know who her ‘ideal self’ is and would like to find out.  she believes her ‘ideal self’ is might be someone like those on the former A-Team-- capable, knowledgeable, etc).however, once she puts on the mask, her ideal self will be a bit Different as stated below because pixies are mean. different how??? [slams my hands down]

appearance wise, nothing has changed really! she’s content with how she looks, though an unconcious part of her worries about the scars and so for the duration of wearing the mask, the scars/marks she carries would disappear. also, she looks notably older now, her hair now reaching down to her hips and her eyes aren’t as Bright as they once were

a lot more open about things like you can ask about The Trauma and she’ll tell you! not because she’s willingly doing so but because she isn’t even going to try holding anything back bc it doesn’t even bother her currently

I also have decided to include my original idea, where she’s ...less like That, still retaining her humanity and the like but it’s clear she’s cut off a part of it because this ideal self believes she must sacrifice what is necessary in order to save humanity. her appearance will be the same as above and she’ll be more open with things, but also a bit more curt and to the point. she’s kind still, of course, but she’s more likely to say what she thinks and has lost a little of her playfulness. alos, all those negative emotions she keeps in? she’ll let them out: anger, frustration, annoyance, the whole shebang.

so i’ll make this a starter call and yeet it into the void. i’ll keep it capped at 4 for now, but castmates have a separate cap of 4! however, if you’d like to plot something then feel free to let me know! also, please witness ritsuka’s dress
