also different question but the last post i reblogged reminded me and i’ve been thinking abt this for a while so. if i hypothetically made a r.ose t.yler blog, would it be okay for me, as a white rper, to change her fc to an actress of colour? im not sure abt ethnicity yet bc i do like the conception of rose as supposedly the representation of the average working brit etc etc so it’d depend on the ethnic demographics ( and majorities ) in different parts of london and in turn where the powell estate is supposed to be based, therefore what the average demographic there is. so like,, once i work that out i’ll have a better idea.
im aware this probably sounds like a dumb question but idk if me specifically changing a white character to be a character of colour is a different consideration to me writing a character of colour in the first place, & if i do it then i want to do everything right y’know? and if it wouldn’t be ok then i’m not gonna do it.
