It was not unusual for Joker to find strangers wandering around the grounds. They were a circus, after all, and their entire livelihood depended on attracting members of the public. However, he did not expect to find someone this late into the evening, especially since there had been no show tonight so there was no reason for anyone other than the circus members to be around.

Was he lost, perhaps? But even that seemed unlikely, as this time the troupe had set up away from any large towns or cities. As far as he knew there were no residential areas nearby either, so there should not have been anyone around for miles.

          ❛ ‘Scuse me, sir! Are ye alright? Is there somethin’ ye need help with? ❜

As with every time one of the circus’s shows finished, Joker made sure to do a quick patrol around the tents and keep visitors away from the private tents.

If Doll didn’t like the thunder and lightening, Joker would do anything he could to help her, including sacrificing his own sleep.

This routine was quickly becoming tiring. The restrictions were for the public’s safety, yet they seemed unable to follow even the most basic of instruction. It was not uncommon for one of the snakes to escape behind the tents, and thus the area was off limits to prevent any unsuspecting person getting bitten and poisoned.
