Feet freeze to the floor beneath him  ,   two hearts skip a beat ,  and ancient eyes widen until they can barely be contained in their sockets. To claim that the sight of her comes as a surprise would be a grave UNDERSTATEMENT.                It can’t be. SURELY  ,  she must be some sort of three-dimensional projection  ?   or a clone , copied straight of memories from long ago?

       Brushy eyebrows are the first of his features to move – they furrow deeply, embodying the rare INCOMPREHENSION that has uncomfortably settled in his mind.  A hand is lifted ,  breaking the calm air , and is brought straight to the inside pocket of his jacket only to reappear holding the classic sonic device. It buzzes briefly in her direction as its emerald light gradually shifts from faint to bright –         … .  unlike its owner ,  THE SCREWDRIVER NEVER LIES, and yet he has trouble trusting the object when it reveals that the all too familiar face in front of him is, INDEED , as human as can be.

    I thought I would never see you again.

                You thought correct. Not the ‘  you   ’  you used to know – not the Timelord who’d wear Converse or a black leather jacket.          The words fail to pass through his vocal tract, though, dissolving into nothingness when he swallows them back down.

“       You shouldn’t be here—  ”    She CAN’T BE HERE ;  according to anything he has ever come to know it’s theoretically and practically impossible for her to have ended up right where he is standing – unless  . .. .. …  ..  .. .       … and that is the precise moment when The Doctor comes to the abrupt realization that he DOESN’T CARE. He doesn’t give the slightest damn how she managed to arrive here because all that matters is that - SOMEHOW - she has. The Timelord’s facial features relax instantaneously and a childish glimmer adorns his eyes  ,  tracing back to his faces of yore.

           “        Then again ,   how could I ever expect you to           obey universally fixed physical time laws, ROSE TYLER ?    ’’

A frown appears above white lids, and lips purse to come to a contrasting conclusion.

💑 who would make the best couple of two of your muses together ?

Carlisle and Molly, probably. Carlesm.e is still #ultimategoals but if I had to pick two of my own muses, I think those two would be absolutely adorable together ! Plus, they could work at the same hospital.

Haymitch and Fleur. GOD , he’d hate her and vice versa. They’d have more arguments than Hayffi.e ( without the usual frustrated sex afterwards ) , which is saying something.

I’m gonna go with Fleur for this one.

None of them always run late, but I suppose my answer is going to be the Doctor as the TARDI.S often doesn’t arrive at the time he intended her to arrive.

That’d be Fleur. She’s quite the perfectionist when it comes to organizing parties, though, and won’t allow anyone else to plan anything just to be absolutely certain that everything will be flawless on the evening of the feast.

Both Haymitch and The Doctor are probably the worst cooks of those amongst my muses.

Haymitch. I started writing him on @outsmarting-others about three years ago.

For some odd reason, I feel like Twelve would be amazing at a pie eating contest ?  I sincerely doubt he’d ever participate willingly, though.

The loyal royal-blue doors open loudly with the familiar CREAK  ,  instantly followed by the appearance of bouncy yet short grey curls that seem comically misplaced on the Timelord’s somewhat GRUMPY head. However, it is not crankiness that portrays the role of superior emotion in his facial features :   it’s CONFUSION ,  for the very location & time where the time-travelling spaceship has brought him are far from the intended 1920s PARIS.  The usage of the word “ far ” is a grave understatement as this clearly isn’t even Earth - unless ,  of course ,  bright yellow trees and soft blue bushes are suddenly part of the fauna of the human planet. Twelve shoots quick, studious glances at his suspiciously FLAWLESS surroundings ; the TARDIS is miraculously well-parked amongst several tall trees, their colourful leaves shielding the police box from prying eyes. 

        Armed with nothing but sonic sunglasses, he closes the door and takes off, wandering for quite some time before noticing the first sign of LIFE in the near distance -- a human, by the look of it, but The Doctor isn’t one to judge someone’s species based solely on appearance ( a mistake he has made before and isn’t planning on making any time soon again ). He COULD figure his current location out the easy way by simply studying the control panel of the time machine, but neither EASY nor SIMPLE are part of Twelve’s vocabulary. Besides, it wouldn’t be very ADVENTUROUS, would it ?            After approaching the person from behind ,  he taps them way too casually on the shoulder to grab their attention. 

    “       Would you be so helpful to tell me what YEAR it is ?     Or CENTURY, perhaps  ?    ”              is added in a semi-joking fashion as thick brows raise questioningly for only a fraction of a second -- they furrow as soon as he RECOGNIZES HER ( and OH BOY, the sonic specs practically fall from his nose out of astonishment ).

   Brows crease as if belonging to a pupil who desperately seeks an answer to the most advanced mathematical problem in the universe,  but - just when one would almost arrive at the conclusion that they have fossilized - the eyebrows jump up again & the wrinkles settle on the Timelord’s forehead instead. Some might call her smile contagious,  and while he certainly is completely captured by it for a brief moment ,  all that can be read from The Doctor’s features is CONFUSION.  The smirk leads him to believe that she is aware of something that is entirely unbeknownst to him ;    a detail that managed to escape his gaze ,   or a certain fact that somehow didn’t find itself in his ancient memory—- and HE HATES NOT KNOWING.
