if  they  weren’t  both  curled  up  behind  large  metal  container  ,      squatted  in  a  thin  pool  of  stagnant  water  in  some  attempt  to  avoid  several  pairs  of  scanning  eyes  ,      arthur  might  have  called  this  a  simple  ,      peaceful  ,      quiet  time  with  leon  .      unfortunately  for  the  both  of  them  ,      the  solid  concrete  cobblestones  easily  do  a  number  on  their  knees  .      several  times  ,      arthur  has  to  slowly  shift  his  position  ,      until  he’s  practically  leaning  against  leon’s  side  in  a  strenuous  attempt  to  keep  upright  while  still  remaining  hidden  .

it  takes  what  feels  like  an  eternity  before  the  footsteps  fade  away  .      arthur’s  quick  heartbeat  has  found  its  rhythm  again  ,      but  he  still  casts  his  gaze  at  leon  as  though  he  suspects  there  may  be  something  else  lurking  ,      holding  its  breath  until  one  of  them  appears  .

arthur  blinks  ,      slow  and  true  .        ❝        you’re  damn  right  that  was  close  .        ❞        with  a  huff  of  air  through  his  nose  ,      he  moves  away  ,      slowly  scooting  in  inches  toward  the  edge  of  the  container  ,      where  he  can  peek  out  and  make  sure  nothing  else  has  an  eye  on  them  .      it’s  been  five  minutes  .      more  than  enough  time  for  their  tracks  to  be  washed  clear  of  suspicion  .      but  he  dares  little  to  raise  his  voice  higher  than  the  harsh  whisper  he’s  speaking  at  now  .        ❝        and  hopefully  the  closest  they’re  gonna  get  .      don’t  know  what  they  would’ve  done  if  they  caught  us  .      they  don’t  look  like  the  type  to  kill  us  quick  .        ❞

he's  got  a  few  notable  ideas  for  what  he  wants  to  jot  down  today  ,      and  he  has  been  for  the  past  ten  minutes  .      it's  been  longer  still  since  dany's  been  in  the  shower  ,      but  he  hasn't  been  paying  much  attention  .      he's  only  been  paying  attention  to  jotting  down  the  little  sentences  rolling  around  in  his  brain  :      most  notably  ,      that  he's  cleaned  himself  just  fine  today  ,      and  he  thinks  he  could  get  well  used  to  this  feigned  married  life  they  have  going  on  .      or  ,      well      …      legally  ,      it  certainly  exists  .      but  emotionally  and  physically  ?      they  haven't  caught  wind  of  that  .

@draconisa .     Comes  out  of  the  bathroom  in  nothing  but  a  gauzy  bathrobe  ,      damp  hair  collected  in  a  towel  ,      and  a  steely  glint  within  her  eyes  .        “Arthur  ,  ”    she  begins  ,      and  it’s  clear  by  the  tone  that  she’s  on  a  warpath;  she’s  out  for  blood  .      (  Just  another  day  of  blissful  married  life!      )      “  Did  you  use  my  deep  conditioner  again?    ”

it  takes  him  a  moment  before  he's  finally  finished  with  his  sentence  .      only  then  does  he  dig  into  echoic  memory  for  what  she'd  said  to  him  ,      and  look  up  to  answer  accordingly  .        ❝        yeah  ,      i  took            ❞        he  stutters  to  a  stop  when  he  notes  just  how  incensed  her  gaze  is  towards  him  ,      and  trails  the  rest  of  his  sentence  off  in  a  faint  ,            ❝        …      a  shower      …      earlier  .        ❞        his  hair's  only  damp  by  now  ,      but  he  figured  she  would  have  noticed  .        ❝        why  ?      i  told  you  ,      i'll  get  somethin'  for  you  to  replace  what  i'm  takin'  .        ❞

but  now  her  agitation  is  starting  to  agitate  him  too  .        ❝        goddamn  !      i  needed  it  !      you  were  just  happy  to  see  i  was  clean  before  you  showered  .      you  ain't  happy  for  me  i  used  some  conditioner  in  my  hair  ?      i'm  learnin'  !        ❞        and  taking  things  from  others  ,      it  seems  ,      is  a  habit  ingrained  into  him  .      even  when  it  comes  to  daenerys  .
