marisela  barely  flinched  as  the  small  person  yelled  at  her.  she'd  noticed  them  near  the  oracles'  tents  at  the  fair,  and  recognized  them  as  the  little  one  that  followed  cal  around.  kanda,  her  mind  helpfully  supplied.  marisela  found  herself  drifting  closer  as  she  recognized  the  distress  on  her  features.  “what's  wrong?”  she  asked,  in  lieu  of  the  more  obvious  question.  as  a  nurse  and  a  person,  she  was  incapable  of  walking  away  from  someone  in  such  clear  pain.  “you  look  like  you're  about  to  implode.”  the  fairgrounds  were  noisy  without  question  –  with  so  many  people  it  even  made  her  feel  claustrophobic,  but  if  the  noise  was  what  was  getting  to  kanda,  panicking  was  not  going  to  help  shut  it  all  out.
