hi there ! i started my own new blog for my novels and i have the slightest clue on how to work or create a proper book blog where my chapters will be pieces together and i can still use the format/aesthetic i created for the story to be told.

would you mind giving me some pointers on how to properly uphold/flow a book blog ? that way my readers don’t get confused or read a chapter ahead of time because of the way tumblr is set yup.

I can only give you what I know with running this blog that I have now, and what I do know is that you’re absolutely going to need to create a masterlist in order to file and update all your series (books), imagines, headcanons and drabbles under using hyperlinks, ‘cause if not, then your readers will automatically become lost and more than likely, uninterested, if they have to endlessly scroll down your blog to catch onto your updates. I know I do. Plus searching tags on your blog isn’t necessarily efficient and could possibly lead to dead-ends, so be sure to update it as you go. From what I know, your readers couldn’t possibly read your chapters “ahead of time” if they’re stored in your drafts and updated or listed chronologically, not unless you schedule a specific post. Oh, and always be sure to put a line break on your updates, ‘cause I don’t want to believe that anybody likes to continuously scroll to get past a specific post on their homepage, y’know?
