one day i will go on a tangent about how anzu wasn't always a good friend. how she was originally part of a group of popular girls in middle school. how after she defended yuugi from bullies and tentatively became friends, she quickly reverted to ignoring him or making excuses not to walk home with him because she was afraid of being shafted from her friend group. how it was yuugi's persistent friendship that ultimately made anzu realise that those girls weren't her real friends ��� yuugi was, and that she's been loyal ever since.

something something the guilt she feels knowing she wasn't always a good friend to him. something something the feelings of replacement and slight possessiveness when jou and honda joined the group, because she realised she was no longer needed or relied on as much and jou was filling a space she couldn't. and then atem filled an even bigger space.

i talked a little bit about that posessiveness in past headcanons and she doesn't hold any ill feelings towards the group for it; but at the beginning, it did sting a little that after having defended him for so long and being his only friend, it was hard to kind of accept that their dynamic was changing. not for better, or worse, just changing.

thinking of aulea and sylva being friends. sylva being the older one who already has two kids by the time aulea is pregnant with noctis, and just sylva being aulea's confidant ( aside from regis obvs ) through the whole experience. i like to think lucis and tenebrae had close and amicable relations ( as seen when noctis is brought there to recover after the accident ) before niflheim attacked.

but then i know full damn well if aulea had lived she would not have left those kids behind to be political pawns. she is cursing regis out from the afterlife for that. AKSJFLSDKJFLSKJGKLDG
