I Think That God Is Gonna Have To Kill Me Twice [ Part I ] || SQUAD
blair looked at them. "are you kidding? he can barely walk! he's not going anywhere."
naomi "that cut is going to get infected if we don't find some real medical equipment. my little first aid kit is not gonna do the job."
blair "but he doesn't need to go anywhere!"
damaris "naomi's right. blair- it'll be worse for daniel if we don't, and, we can take care of his wound quicker if he's with us when we find the supplies!"
micah "what do you think is going to happen if the doctor can't fucking actually see him? the doctor is going to magically heal him from afar? we can carry daniel if we have to. that is, of course, if there is a single living person here who can help him."
naomi "fine blair, don't go if you don't want to. just know that i'm not gonna be the one who amputates him when the time comes. so your choice. do you really want a legless boyfriend?"
blair "amputate him? you couldn't even watch him bleed."
daniel "woah, woah – let's not jump to amputation yet." he interjected, chuckling. "i'm fine. and maybe while we're there we can find some crutches or something, but arguing won't get anything done."
naomi "that's why i said i wasn't gonna do it. selective hearing much?" she repeated the words blair had said to her just a few days ago, "see? he'll be fine. and it's not that long of a walk from here so we can make it."
damaris "would you really rather we leave him behind? or..- or leave you with him, on your own?- it's safer for him to come with the group, and it's safer for you too!" she sent an apologetic look daniel's way, a little too late, "sorry for talking about you like you're not here."
micah "so we're mostly in agreeance--he comes with us, no one's getting their damn leg chopped off, and worse comes to worst we carry him cleopatra style. beautiful," he sighed, not quite fond of illogical arguments.
daniel flashed damaris a smile and a playful wink. "you all know i would hate to miss out on all of this." his shoulders rose into a shrug as his eyes scanned the group before landing on blair. "i'm a sitting duck here – we all need to go." he nodded.
blair "this wouldn't be so bad if we had a fucking van."
verena had been quiet during the groups back and forth. her adrenaline was slowly fading and the reality of the situation hitting her all at once. "let's just go. the person who did this could already be here for all we know and i'm not trying to get chopped up into itty bitty pieces!"
damaris "well we don't." she didn't mean to snap- but there was definite bite to her tone, before she managed to calm down, a little, and amend her words, "we don't, so, walking will have to do. i'm ready when you guys are."
naomi "well i'm ready. and i'm taking my camera. just in case."
micah laughed quietly, "if we had a van, we'd really be ripping off scooby doo. but yeah, let's get going. longer we wait, more likely we all will need help."
blair "i really really don't like this plan," she grumbled, walking over and helping daniel off the bed.
daniel grabbed his backpack and camera, doing his best to hop over towards the door with blair's assistance. "if anyone see any type of pain killers, let me know." he teased. "all set, gang?"
damaris "i've got enough flashlights for all of us, and batteries- can't think of anything else we'd need in a hospital, though."
micah slumped his backpack over his shoulders, heading towards the door. "i got the food and a compilation of whatever info we've gotten before this. i assume we all know where we're going right? like general location?"
naomi "i've got a map." she spoke up, "along with some walkie talkies from yesterday."
daniel "and i've got my camera, tripod, and a worried girlfriend." he teased. "let's do it."
blair let out a huff. "you're not carrying any of that."
damaris "i can take them-" skipping a little closer to daniel and blair, damaris held out her hands to him, "you know i'll take good care of it all."
micah "well, if we're all good and marginally pleased, then lead the way, n--you got the map so it makes the most sense," he advised, gaze turning towards naomi.
daniel rolled his eyes, letting out a long sigh. "my arms work perfectly fine." he groaned. "plus i drank the rest of that whiskey so i can barely feel a thing." he then flashed a grinned. "lead the way, naomi."
naomi walked ahead of everyone, unfolding the map in her hands "right well i'm going to try to keep us off the main road again. to avoid being seen by whatever it was that attack daniel."
blair "are you drunk?"
daniel lazily shrugged his shoulders as his hopped along, "it was the only thing to keep me from wanting to cut my own leg off."
damaris "no amputations, remember? even self inflicted ones."
micah "so that's where the half the bottle went. 'was half expecting it was stolen. but yeah, let's keep far fucking away from whatever could get us into tiny pieces, though that would be a rad way to die."
naomi continued to lead them down the right path "really feels like we're on the walking dead right now. who knows, daniel, maybe you'll get your own cool stump like hershel. he was a badass after all."
blair "it's not funny," blair hissed. "stop talking about amputations, got it?"
damaris "i never watched the walking dead," she said after a moment of silence, steering clear of amputations and trying to latch onto something else, "was never my cup of tea. do they do walks like these often?"
naomi nodded, "yup. they're always on the move. especially when they go out for supply runs. it's really interesting, you should watch it. but warning, the zombies are really gross looking so discretion is advised." she looked up from the map as they made it to the hill "can daniel make that trip?" she asks again, pointing in the direction of the hospital, "or destination is right on top of it."
damaris "i saw the zombies once in one of the trailers..." she shuddered, shaking her head, "no amount of interesting story could make me brave watching them. i'll take your word for it." she looked to daniel and blair, more than a little unsure
micah head turning towards daniel and his leg, having zoned out of the walking dead conversation, micah shrugged, "danny boy could probably make the climb. 'don't know if blair will let him though. he may need multiple assistants, but if he's fucking dying of pain or something then i guess we could leave him down here with someone."
daniel "i can handle it." he assured, giving the group a nod. "it's not that steep."
blair made a face, gesturing up the hill. "be my fucking guest."
naomi "you sure? we can get you a makeshift cane out of one of these tree branches."
daniel "what are you? a wilderness expert now?" he teased, shaking his head. "i've got this – don't worry."
naomi "i've watched enough of the discovery channel to kinda know what i'm doing. but if you say so— let's go before it gets late." she started walking up the hill, pointing her flashlight straight ahead.
blair walked behind daniel just in case he lost his balance.
naomi "well we're here." she said, slightly out of breath and she wiped her palms on her jeans. "we're gonna have to break the lock in the front to get in." she hoped no one would ask how she knew all these things.
daniel "well," he breathed out, doing his best to catch his breath after a difficult journey uphill. "how do you break it?"
micah "what kind of lock is it?" he asked, coming up the rear before having a chance to examine the door, "if you just have to pick it and someone has a bobby pin, then i've done this a few times before."
naomi "i dunno. here." she took the bobby pin from her hair and handed it to him "but i'm pretty sure you can't break into a hospital using a hair pin."
micah "this place is old, right?" he mused, getting on his knees before the front door, "before they had all the technology they do nowadays to make extra secure places. i may be able to get this. if not, we can just fucking break the door down."
damaris "... i'll look for another way in," not confident that they'd manage to pick the lock, nor as okay with breaking down a door as the rest of them, damaris headed off without hesitation to find an alternate entrance
micah "god damn," he cursed, lifting upwards from the door minutes after damaris left, ruined bobby pin in hand. he turned towards the group, "i tried. so, shall we break this shitty thing down or wait for damaris?"
blair groaned, taking off her knapsack. "stand back,” she instructed, pulling a gun out of her bag.
naomi eyes widened at the sight of the gun "woah, woah where the fuck did that come from?" she asked, blair, taking a step back.
daniel "where the fuck did you get that from?!" he exclaimed, taking a hop back. "how long have you had that?"
micah was about to make the joke "what are you going to do, shoot it?" before she legitimately pulled out a gun. taking a few steps aside, his eyebrows cocked upwards, "i'm damn impressed."
blair shrugged. "i forgot i had it obviously otherwise the asshole that stabbed you would be dead." she turned off the safety and aimed the gun at the lock, shooting it. the sound of the gun and the plink of the lock breaking brought a grin to her face. "see? that was easy."
micah stepped towards the hospital, swinging the doors open. his eyes turned towards blair, hands clapping, before stepping inside. "so, who feels like fucking shit up at an abandoned hospital tonight?"
blair turned the safety back on, sticking the gun into the back of her shorts. "gonna save that for later," she mumbled, putting her knapsack back on.
naomi "we're not here to do that. just get things for daniel and then head back." naomi pulled her camera out and started taking pictures of her surroundings "so this is the infamous silverwood hospital."
daniel stood in disbelief, his mouth agape at the events that had just taken place. "what the hell just happened."
blair "you guys act like you've never seen someone shoot something before," she shrugged, following naomi.
damaris the van parked up round the side of the hospital had seemed pretty familiar at a distance... but, as damaris had gotten cautiously closer, she'd felt her heart speed up- it was, without a doubt, cristian's van. he was supposed to be...- well, anywhere but there. he'd ditched- why was his van outside the hospital? she'd been inching forwards intent on trying one of the doors to see was it unlocked when the sound of the gunshot made her jump out of her skin, and, with one regretful look its way, damaris turned on her heel and ran back the way she'd come. "what- the- heck- was- that-" she spluttered, looking from the open door to the group stood by it... and the gun, resting in blair's hands, "did you shoot the door?"
micah "yeah, blair shot the door and it was fucking badass." he was still quite impressed with the situation, "find anything, damaris?"
damaris "you can't just...- i heard that from all the way 'round the hospital! listen-" she didn't like the idea of a loud noise having gone out, now she'd seen the van. too much about the situation was making her uncomfortable. dropping her voice, damaris continued rapidly, "cristian's van is around the side. and before you say anything- /it's his van/. i'm sure. but i don't...- i don't understand why."
naomi turned to face damaris, confused by what she had just said. "so he's up there. i knew he was pulling some type of prank." but things didn't add up. they had been here a week and it would have been unlikely for cristian to of had been camping up in the hospital for that long just to make a stupid joke "well.. he's gotta be here somewhere."
daniel "so you mean to tell me that fucker was here the entire time?" daniel perked a brow, crossing his arms against his chest before remembering he could barely balance himself. "let's find that jackass."
micah would be completely lying if there wasn't some small joy in knowing that his best friend was possibly near, though it quickly fell with the possibilities of the wretched things that could have happened. "getting daniel fixed, finding cristian--sounds like a good night. should we get daniel on one of those beds over there? start searching for medical shit? look for cris later or do have search for cris half stay here?"
naomi "me, micah and vee and go look for him and you guys can stay here to look for supplies? since blair knows what to look for." she suggested
blair pulled the cleanest looking wheelchairs and wheeled it over to daniel. "want a ride, hot stuff?"
daniel pulled a smirk across his lips as he took a few hops in her direction. "thank you, my sexy, gun shooting girlfriend."
blair snorted in response. "are we using the walkies?"
daniel nods, "it's in my bag and naomi has hers."
naomi "yup, got mine with me. micah, you ready to go?"
micah "yeah, yeah. we should leave some extra batteries with them for their flashlights before we go, probably."
blair "damaris, has definitely got that covered, trust me."
naomi pulled some batteries from her bag "here, just in case." she gave them all a small smile "alright. we'll shout if we find anything."
micah "we'll also shout if there's some weird supernatural shit happening and we're dying, so don't trust if you hear screams," he joked, though probably inappropriate to do so at that time. to naomi, he suggested, "we should definitely start at the van. see if he left any clues to sleuth out."
blair "or maybe just use the walkie," she chuckled. "you guys should take harley," she mentioned, making sure she had maris before wheeling daniel away.
naomi nudged him, "cut it out," she bent down to pet harley and nodded "yeah, we'll take her. plus blair has a gun to protect y'all." she began walking back from where they came from, looking over at micah. "hopefully he left the keys in there."
daniel "you guys got her last time," he reasoned, shaking his head. "we get her."
naomi "you've got your girlfriend who knows how to shoot, kickbox and has medical care experience. you're better off without harley!"
micah "hey, hey, hey, the only reason why harley is here is because of naomi and i. plus, the dog can sniff out cris easier than the three of us on our own," micah replied, protective over his dog. he shifted back to naomi, "i know where he keeps a spare, if that counts."
daniel knew they had good points, so he let out a huff. "fine," he mumbled. "take her."
naomi nodded "okay then. let's do this. come on vee." she gestured for the girl to follow them.
blair "wow, thanks babe."
verena did as she was told and followed naomi, glancing back at the others as she walked away.
micah "god, watch cris just be fucking sleeping in his van, claiming he wanted to find all this shit on his own. i'd be impressed if a man could sleep through a gun shot, but wouldn't put it past him."
naomi "don't put it past him. that is a real cristian thing to do and not at all surprising."
daniel "well, wheel away, baby!" daniel chimed. "we've got a leg to repair!"
verena "what if we never find him? i know thats liks bad to say or whatever, but what happens if cris never shows up?"
blair shook her head and wheeled him down the hall, peeking into rooms for potential supplies with damaris.
micah "cristian is many things, but good at hiding is not one of them. but, guess we assume he's dead and murder any fuckers who try to tempt us with his death," micah shrugged, mind in its usual darkness even when about cristian.
verena gasped at how casual his dark words fell from his lips. "that's horrible."
daniel "can you believe c is still here?" he asked, peering up at blair. "what the fuck is his deal?"
blair made a face signalling for him not to talk about it and nodded toward damaris.
naomi "you get used to it" she told verena as they approached the van.
daniel "it was a shitty thing to do." he mumbled, shaking his head. "but what are we exactly looking for?"
micah "look, what do you want me to say? if cris is really gone then yeah, i want to avenge him or some shit," he spoke coolly, though was genuinely curious as to her answer. as they neared the van, micah nodded, "damaris was right, this is definitely the old van. it doesn't look like anyone has touched it from this side of it."
blair squeezed his shoulder gently as the continued to make their way down the hall. "i wouldn't trust drugs, but any supplies still in packaging would be ideal."
naomi "let's not think like that yet. not until we have some evidence to think otherwise." she snorted,"did you expect there to be werewolf claw marks all over it?" she opened the door on the drivers side and sighed as it wasn't locked. "well, he's not in here."
micah "some evidence to think otherwise," he replied to her sarcastic comment on what he expected, "it is weird though that he didn't lock it. he fucking loves this car and would die before letting anyone take it." he trailed around the vans, looking intently for blood, scrapes, the like. "yeah, no, the van is still in pique condition. what about the inside?"
verena me "good idea..." verena clutched her flashlight tighter as they approached the van, ready for anything to jump out and spook her.
naomi "well he's not in here." she closes the door and takes a step back. "do you have anything of his? so harley can smell it and help us track him down?"
micah "not on me, no, but you may be able to find some shit in the compartment between the driver and passenger shit. he may keep a rosary there. that, or we can hit up the trunk and see if he has a jacket back there or something," micah suggested, guessing the question was directed at him.
verena "uh, the van perhaps? i don't know but im pretty sure its got cristian scent all over it."
naomi opened the door on the drivers side again and leaned over to open the compartment, pulling out the rosary micah was talking about. "here we go." she bent down to get harley to smell it "come on girl, help us find this asshole."
demon suddenly a loud static shot through naomi's walkie talkie
naomi heard the noise and she pulled the walkie talkie from her backpack. "uh.. you guys alright?" she asked, looking over at verena and micah.
micah "what the fuck," he spoke under his breath after his head whipped towards the walkie, hearing the noise.
blair made it to the end of the hallway. "oh, an operating room," she chirped, propping the door open and going in.
demon a whisper could be heard behind the static
verena "okay what the fuck is wrong with your walkie naomi?"
naomi "very funny daniel. i swear its him. he picks the worst times to mess with us." naomi got up, slinging her bag over her shoulder.
blair made her way into the room. "wow, there's a lot of good stuff in here."
verena rolled her eyes. "shouldn't he be in like, immense amounts of pain right now? how could he possibly have a sense of humor right now?"
micah was very rarely frightened, finding most of the supernatural utterly illogical. thus, took naomi's rational explanation well. it helped that harley also seemed to be picking up a trail, which he brought to the attention of the others, "eh, he's also bored and alone probably. let's follow harley.”
demon blair's voice echoed through the walkie but the voice in the static could still be heard in the background.
naomi "jesus fuck" she cursed, turning the volume up to hear blair's voice. "this is so gross i'm like, one hundred percent sure they're fucking." she let out a noise of disgust, listening to micah and following behind harley.
demon "closer," the voice gurgled in the background. "closer pretty girl."
micah "definitely fucking. daniel needs to work on his dirty talk. oh god, hopefully damaris doesn't have to watch that shit," he rolled his eyes, still trailing behind harley.
verena "how are they even in the mood? if this were a horror movie-- which it's not, they'd definitely be the first to go!"
demon suddenly daniel and damaris were thrown away and the door blair had propped open slammed shut.
blair spun around. "what the fuck?!"
naomi "this is a horror movie for damaris if she's watching." she jokes, hearing the voice again through the walkie talkie. "okay not this is just straight up creepy."
demon the walkie went completely quiet for a second and then there was a scream from inside the hospital.

We've Gone Way Too Fast For Way Too Long || Squad
naomi brought the last of her things into the small cabin, her hoodie dripping wet from the thunderstorm that was taking place outside. she thought it was a good idea, staying in the remote cabin that belonged to one of the tour guides for the night until the storm passed. she knew if the group would have kept driving— something bad would of had happened. “you guys might want to go get your stuff before it gets worse out there. seriously wouldn’t be surprised if we were flooded out. it’s crazy.”
verena squealed as she hurried into the small, yet eerie cabin. dropping her things by the door, she shook off her coat, tiny water droplets flying everywhere. “this is insane! i’m pretty sure i’ve seen this exact scene in a horror movie before…”
naomi rolled her eyes “no— don’t do that. especially not now.” she shook her head and made her way over to the living room section of the cabin, crouching down in front of the fireplace. “how are we supposed to light this?”
verena removed her jacket and hung it on the old coat rack that stood by the door. “well, i’m just pointing out the obvious.” following naomi over to the fire place, vee crossed her arms. “you don’t have a lighter and some paper?”
naomi “do i look like a walking home depot store?” she asked in an obvious tone, rolling her eyes playfully. “we’re in a cabin. i’m sure there’s some matches or like… wood around here. i don’t know.”
verena “well seeing as i saw a heaping pile of wood sitting outside and it’s raining, we might be shit out of luck on the whole fire thing…“
naomi sighed "well looks like we’re gonna freeze to death. unless we look around for something to set on fire. dare i suggest burning what’s left of blair’s soul?”
verena giggled at naomi’s joke as her eyes moved around the room looking for something to burn “sadly i don’t think there’s enough left to even get a fire lit.”
naomi “good one. every try stand up?” she stood up and stretched, looking around the room before walking over to her backpack. “i got a notebook in here. i guess we can use that. but that means you all owe me some paper.”
verena “ well, we aren’t going to get much heat if we simply burn paper! we need something…” her eyes surveyed the room again, stopping as they fell on a broken chair. “perfect! i don’t think the owners are gonna miss this.” grabbing a few of the pieces, she returned to the fireplace and began placing the wooden legs down. “we can still use the paper as kindling though.”
naomi shrugged her shoulders. “verena i’ve never been camping before so i have no idea what the fuck i’m supposed to do…” she trailed off, rummaging through the drawers until she found a box of matches. “okay now i’m starting to think we’re being set up.” she said, holding up the box of matches
verena gave naomi a pointed look “see, i told you something was fishy was going on, but noo, you wanna play naive simply to save what’s left of your sanity.” finishing with the mini bone fire structure, vee held out her hand. “paper please.”
naomi “i think we should all just forget about the horror movie cliches.” she handed verena the paper before continuing “there’s no way they’re true and all we’re doing is scaring ourselves.”
damaris entering the cabin at a bit of a jog in an attempt to get out of the rain as quick as possible, damaris pulled her soaked bandanna off and dropped it down with her bag at the edge of the door, casting a glance naomi and verena’s way. “how’s the fire lighting going?” it was a safe bet that that was what they were doing, considering where they were and all they had.
naomi “bad. unless verena here pulls some survivor shit and magically lights it. anyways i don’t think we have enough wood for the fire so we’re going to have to use it wisely.” her reply was directed to damaris and she sat down on one of the couches in the living room. “but other than that— home sweet home?”
verena “move over already and give me the matches!” bumping naomi’s hip with her own, vee dropped down to her knees and began working on the fire.
naomi threw them in verena’s direction, smiling contently as they landed beside her. “i feel like squidward when he was camping with spongebob and patrick when the sea bear attacked.”
blair stumbled into the cabin. “holy shit,” she huffed, soaked completely with one of daniel’s hoodies on her head.
damaris “have you looked round the cabin?- maybe there’s firewood stored somewhere, or something…” she didn’t want to sound too hopeful. after all, were the chances really all that high? “good luck, verena-” interrupted by blair’s arrival, damaris threw her a look of pity, “you okay?”
blair: “i’m fine,” she mumbled, looking around. “what’re you guys doing?”
verena “well naomi is lounging, i’m trying to make a fire and i think damaris is looking for fire wood. how abouts you? where’s your boy toy?” vee clapped her hands together as the fire finally took to the old chair wood.
blair looked out the window. “i think he’s trying to get as much stuff as possible into his bag. also, where are you planning to make the fire?”
naomi “no we haven’t and i’m too tired that i might knock out before the fire does.” naomi cheered as the fire started “well obviously in the fireplace. blair are you okay? has hanging around daniel really knocked some iq points off of you?”
damaris “oh… well….” looking around, reluctant to move forward into the cabin, she seemed stuck in place ‘til naomi’s iq comment and then, she was rushing to push in- “anyway- would you like to help me look around, b?”
blair “well shit naomi, i didn’t notice the fireplace, i’ve been here for like 3 seconds. i have a lighter though, if that helps?”
naomi “we found matches. i think you should help damaris look for more wood to keep it going.” she suggested.
blair “wood? in the rain? are you kidding?”
naomi “around the house. my bad for not making it clear.”
damaris “maybe there’s a basement? don’t people keep wood in basements?” even the mention of one made her uncomfortable, but, if it’d keep them busy…
blair “this place doesn’t look big enough to have a basement but we can look, i guess.”
naomi “if you guys need anything, just give us a shout. i think the owners mentioned a basement where they keep their hunting crap.”
blair “maybe we should wait for daniel to come in.”
naomi “why? so he can protect you from the dark? it’s just a basement.” she rolled her eyes “you have your best friend going with you— i’m sure she’ll take care of you just fine.”
damaris “you don’t think i can keep you safe, if there’s anything down there?-” she’d been in the middle of raising her hands up and pretending to punch the air, toughly, when she realized what she’d said- “i mean. obviously there wouldn’t be anything down there- but if there was, i could keep you safe!”
blair “maybe i just like having my boyfriend around since majority of you hate me, ever think of that?” blair snapped. she looked at damaris with a small grin and put her hands on the girl’s fists. “don’t hurt yourself, mar,” she chuckled.
naomi “suit yourself. i have to pee.” she got up and brushed pass the two girls in the direction of where she assumed the bathroom was. damaris “i don’t think the majority of people hate you, b-” sending the quickest of helpless looks at naomi’s retreating back, maris opted for just trying to keep the grin on blair’s face- even if it were only small. “hurt /myself/? pfft- if anything’s getting hurt, it’s whatever decides to come after you. just lemme at ‘em- i’ll rock ‘em, i’ll sock 'em, i’ll make 'em regret ever trying it!”
blair rolled her eyes at a lack of response from naomi and patted maris’ shoulder. “i’m sure you could.” damaris “for you, i could do absolutely anything,” she lifted her chin and gave a very sure nod, trying to seem confident in abilities she knew she definitely lacked. “but- if you wanna wait for daniel, i’ll understand. even if i think i can keep us both safe.” blair “it’s nothing against you, and i definitely don’t doubt your abilities,” blair grinned. “i just want him here,” she said quietly, looking out the window again. damaris “i gotcha,” she nodded again, this time, in understanding. she wasn’t about to say so out loud, but… she’d have felt the same way, way back when, with cristian. “d'you think he and the guys will be much longer?” blair “i don’t know, he’s probably trying to get literally everything into bags because he’s insane,” she chuckled.
naomi returned from the bathroom, her shirt soaked and her mouth ajar "okay… before you ask— yes the sink is broken and there’s only one bedroom here so what is the sleeping arrangement?” she asked, walking over to her bags and rummaging to find a clean t-shirt. blair “well actually, i was going to ask how you managed to pee that high,” blair chuckled. “one bedroom, but how many beds?” damaris “damnit, daniel,” she shook her head, but, was unsurprised. “blair-” she gave her friend a look, before turning sympathetic, “sorry you had to be the one to find out, naomi. maybe…- shouldn’t blair & daniel get the bedroom?” daniel “I’m not picky.” daniel finally appeared, bags hung over his shoulder. “just let me know where to set this stuff – the circulation in my fingers is starting to cut off.” he chuckled. “I don’t mind having one big sleepover.” he teased, grinning. naomi pulled out her t-shirt and set it aside “ha ha, very funny.i think we should all stay in the bedroom. there’s only a twin size bed in there but plenty of floor space. i guess the couple can take the bed.” she looked up as daniel entered and shrugged,“ but i’ll be damned if daniel suggests for us to split up in this creepy cabin. especially with the weather.” verena scuffed at damaris’ idea for the couple to share the room. “yeah–no. they don’t get everything because they are dating. beside’s they shouldn’t be having sex in someone elses cabin. it’s rude.” blair rolled her eyes, taking some bags from daniel. “a sleepover? how old are you?” she laughed at him. damaris “if we’re all gonna convene in the room, maybe set all that down in there?” damaris suggested to daniel, a little sad that bryce hadn’t appeared right behind him. “i didn’t say they’d be…- i just thought- nevermind.” verena “oh come on, have you met them? must i remind everyone of daniel’s birthday party where there was no safe place to sit?” pushing herself off the floor, vee plopped down on the couch, pleased that she was able to start a fire. blair “that was because it was disgusting, not because we fucked everywhere.” damaris “besides- you sit in cristian’s van /all the time/, and, he’s probably done way more gross things there.” she couldn’t help herself pointing out the obvious with a shrug of one shoulder. verena “yeah, but its cristians van. he wasn’t borrowing it from a friend– though if he was, he probably would still have sex in it…” verena shuddered at the disgusting thought that found it’s way into her head. naomi “either way we’re all covered in sex germs. disgusting to think about but we are. now if you excuse me, i’m going to go change and claim a spot in the room!” she got up and gathered all her things before walking into the bedroom.
naomi it was around two in the morning when naomi was awoken by what sounded like footsteps right outside the window from the room they were all staying in. she sat up from her spot, yawning quietly and rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes. “hey— did you guys hear that?” she asked in a whisper, shaking whoever was around her awake carefully. blair rolled over and rubbed her eyes. “what?” verena groaned, annoyed that she was being woken up in the middle of the night. “no naomi, go back to sleep for the love of all that is holy!” naomi pointed towards the window “i heard someone outside.” truth be told the brunette was still half asleep but she was one hundred percent sure she had heard something outside. “vee.. i’m being serious.” blair “naomi,” she groaned. “this is not the time for dramatics.” naomi rolled her eyes and slowly got up, tip-toeing around the bodies that were on the floor before reaching the window. she cupped her hands so she could see better and when she did, she jumped and gasped. “g-guys… i just saw someone out there.” she whisper yelled, turning back to look at the two girls. verena “i thought we agreed to nip the whole scary story shit in the bud.” vee pushed herself up on her elbows as she looked up at naomi. “just go back to bed, it’s probably like a deer or something.” daniel “what are you guys whining about?” daniel groaned, wiping his eyes before propping himself up on his elbows. “there’s no one out there, naomi. stop trying to freak everyone out – that’s my job.” blair “naomi thinks she sees someone outside,” blair hummed.
naomi shook her head. “does a deer stand upright on it’s two legs?! i’m not messing around this time, idiots.” she looked out the window once more only to see that whatever was out there was now gone. “i’m gonna go make sure the door is locked.” verena cursed under her breath and stood, rubbing her eyes. “fine, let’s go get this over with so i can return to my much needed sleep.” nodding towards the door, vee walked out of the room and into the living room. naomi followed verena into the living room. “it’s so cold in here.” she went to flip the light switch on but nothing happened. “okay… storm must of knocked it out. which direction is the door in again? i feel so disoriented.” daniel groaned, leaning forward and watching as the two girls left into the living room. “hope they have a flashlight.” he mumbled. “think we should check it out with them?” he asked blair. blair groaned. “probably, but can we not?”
daniel “at least if we hear them scream, we can get a head start running.” blair “that’s not funny,” she huffed.  verena covered her mouth as she yawned a pointed in the direction of the door. “or the boogie man outside could have cut the power.” vee teased the other, a tired giggle escaping her lips.
naomi “ha ha very funny.” she walked around the corner towards the door, stopping in her tracks as she realized it was wide open. “uh… vee?” she called out, not moving from her spot.
verena crossed her arms over her chest, her hands rubbing her arms in an attempt to warm them up. “yeah, what’s wrong?”   naomi “the door. it’s like, wide open.” she took a step back, “did anyone leave? did you hear anyone get up?” verena stepped up to stand beside naomi, her confusion only growing with every passing second. “i don’t think so… i know you said no more scary jokes, but this happens in horror movies.” blair “guys?” blair called, leaning to try and see out the door.  naomi ignored verena and walked back to the room. “is everyone in here?” she asked blair and daniel, “the front door is like, open.” blair bolted up in the bed. “what do you mean open?” daniel reached over and grabbed a flashlight before rising from the bed. “it was open?” he furrowed his brows, turning on the flashlight and looking around. “maybe someone went to get fresh air and forget to close it.” blair “is it still raining?” naomi shook her head “no it’s not raining anymore. is everyone in here?” she repeated, squinting to try to see how many bodies she could count. “vee is still out there in the living room, you should go check if anyone is outside.” she told daniel. blair “well maris is right here,” she pointed right next to the bed. “And I think that’s bryce,” she nodded to the person next to damaris. “i’ll go with you.” naomi “micah was next to me… where’s cristian?” she asked, realizing he was the only one missing. daniel “yeah, i can do that.” he nodded. “but it’s probably just cristian playing a prank.” verena took a few steps closer to the door, her eyes searching for anyone who might be outside the cabin. “hello? if you’re playing a prank, this isn’t funny!” blair “maybe he’s in the bathroom?” blair suggested. naomi “i’ll go check” she turned and walked back into the hallway, going into the bathroom and opening the door only to find it empty. “he’s not in here.” she called out, making her way back to the room. verena heard the crunch of gravel as if someone were walking around. “fuck this.” she murmured under her breath before shutting and locking the front door and hurrying back to the room. “well, there is definitely someone out there. is everyone here cause i shut and locked the door.”
daniel “everyone but cristian and if he’s not in here, we’ve gotta find him.” he shrugged. “i’ll just run out and take a look, okay?” blair grabbed daniel’s hand at verena’s comment. “i don’t want you going out there.” naomi “i’m with blair on this one. i don’t think you should go out there. not alone at least.”
verena “well, we can’t leave him out there. come on daniel, i’ll go with you.” daniel “wow, you two haven’t agreed on anything since that time you both had a crush on me.” he chuckled. “i’ll only be a second and you guys can watch from the door.” naomi rolled her eyes. “not the time to be cracking jokes. we’ll all go.” she reached for verena’s hand “if anything happens i may or may not use you as a human shield.” daniel “fine,” he shrugged, nodding. “us four will go out and the other three stay." blair “if we all go, who’s going to watch the door inside?” she went over and made sure the others were awake enough to be aware before going back to the door. “Okay, why don’t you two go that way and we’ll go this way?”
verena “so help me god naomi if you even try to sacrifice me, i will haunt you for the rest of your pitiful, over dramatic life.” when verena said that she needed her sleep, this was why. naomi “sorry” she whispered, taking a step back into the hallway “c'mon let’s go” daniel “wait!” he called out, rushing back into the bedroom and searching through his bag. he then return to the living room. “walkie talkies.” hr smirked, passing one over to verena. “should we decide on code names?” blair “seriously?” she huffed. “why do we need code names besides to satisfy your nerd fantasies?” verena smiled and took a walkie talkie from daniel. it may sound silly, but she loved using them, she always felt so bad ass and tactical. “call me the blue falcon!” naomi gave verena a look. “seriously? fine but if something happens i’m not repeating that dumbass code name.” blair covered her face with her hand. “please don’t encourage him.” verena “fine you party poopers keep thinking about how were all gonna die and stress yourselves out while daniel and i are play capture the flag– or in this case, the cristian, in our heads.” daniel “i’m with verena on this one,” he shrugged, shooting blair a quick ‘im sorry’ look. “the sooner we bust his little prank, the sooner we can go back to bed.” blair “fine,” she grumbled, taking his hand. “let’s just hurry up?” verena “that’s the spirit blair! now let’s go before we all freeze to death.” turning the flash light on her phone, vee opened the front door and waited for others to join her before exiting. damaris it took damaris a long time to wake up enough to realize that something was going on, but, unable to ignore the rummaging and muffled voices any longer ( especially when she heard cristian’s name - not that she would ever admit to any /concern/ ) she left her bed behind. tiptoeing through the room so as not to disturb bryce or micah, she followed the voices, appearing by blair’s side, “what’s goin’ on?” blair turned to damaris. “stay here, okay? keep the door closed until we get back.” naomi “door was open, cristian’s gone and i think it’s gonna start raining again.” she briefly explained as damaris showed up “we’re gonna go check out, see if cris was playing a joke.”
damaris “uhm…” she was inclined to do just that, but, naomi’s explanation had her a little less willing, “/gone/ gone?- why would he- he would’ve told one of the guys if he was planning a joke, right?- i want to help you guys look.”
daniel extended his walkie talkie towards damaris. “take this to keep in contact with us while we’re out there just in case.” he nodded. “we should be back in a few minutes.”
naomi “i think it’s best if she comes with. you know, more backup just in case we run up on something unpleasant.”
damaris “see? naomi thinks i should go too,” she turned up the offer of the walkie talkie to straighten up, a little, trying to look as if there was no room for argument. daniel “all five of us don’t need to be out there.” he urged, shaking his head. “we need someone here on look out and neither bryce or micah are any use to us if they’re sleeping.”
damaris “you’d wanna go if it was blair,” the words had left her before she’d even fully thought them through. she scrambled, then, to save it- “i mean- i’d rather stick close to the people who’re awake, than the ones i’m pretty sure wouldn’t wake up, even if i was screaming in fear.” blair “mar we really need someone to hold down the fort. it’s the most important job right now – please? ”naomi “damn. let her go look after her man. i’ll stay.” daniel rolled his eyes as a sigh fell from his lips. “fine — naomi stays, damaris goes. is that alright with everyone?”
damaris “he’s not my man,” she muttered, internally struggling with the idea of staying behind, as much as she struggled with staying steadfast in her decision to go, “naomi can..- she can go. give me the walkie and i’ll stick with bryce, but just– just find him. and kick his butt, if this is all a joke.”
daniel “look, i’m leaving.” daniel mumbled as he started off towards the door. “and whoever is coming can follow, but i’m not gonna stand around and waste time – i’m too fuckin’ tired for this.” blair clenched his hand tighter. “let’s go.” damaris “you go, naomi-” taking a step back into the room, she paused, before adding, “stay safe, all of you.” naomi felt bad for her. “you sure?” she asked as daniel and blair made their way out the door. damaris no, she thought, but instead she gave a tiny nod, “of course. i’ll wake bryce up and we’ll hold things down here- you go catch up with those two, and find cris!” verena smiled weakly at maris, grabbing naomi’s hand and giving it a tug. “come on naomi lets go get this over with so we can come back and joke about it!” blair “you’re too tired to argue but you had no problem making up code names,” blair hissed at daniel. daniel “code names are required when using walkie talkies.” daniel grumbled. blair “you’re a fucking adult, daniel. we don’t need codenames.” she let out a sigh as she looked around. “wait… wasn’t the van…” naomi gave damaris a small smile and let verena tug her outside. “yo, where’s the van?” she asked as she noticed that it wasn’t parked in the front anymore. blair turned to naomi. “it was right here, wasn’t it? i’m not imagining it?”
naomi “yeah for once i can confirm that you are not losing it.”
blair “anyone have their phone? did he text anyone?”
verena quickly checked her phone, shaking her head no. “Nope. But I don’t have service.”
daniel “you think he left?”
damaris unable to stick out waiting, damaris pressed in the button of the walkie talkie and spoke into it, “what’s going on- did you find him?”
blair grabbed the walkie out of daniel’s hand. “mar, did cristian text any of us?”
damaris “no. no, i don’t think so- why?”
blair “babe, where’s your phone?” daniel “i left it inside i think, but i’m pretty sure i never got anything from him.
”blair “naomi, how about you?”
naomi “nope, nothing. or at least i didn’t hear my phone go off.” blair “so he just… ditched?” naomi “probably, it wouldn’t be surprising if he did.” naomi looked over blair’s shoulder as she saw something moving behind her. “or he’s hiding out there.” her finger pointed towards where she saw the shadow. daniel looked over to where naomi was pointing before taking off in that direction. “hey asshole!” he called out. “shitty joke, man!” blair “babe!” she hissed. “what if it’s not him?” her eyes widened at the thought and she reached out, grabbing daniel. naomi “cristian this isn’t funny! where the hell is the van?!” she called out after daniel, separating from verena and walking closer in that direction. “he’s being immature. and it’s not funny.” daniel pulled his arm away as blair reached for him, too determined to catch up to whatever it was he was chasing. “dude, give it up!” he called out once more. “your prank sucks ass.” naomi looked over at daniel “i’m gonna go kick his ass, join me if you want.” she made her way down the small drive way, turning the flashlight on and pointing it where the trees were “hide and seek is not so fun when you have a very cranky girl after you!” blair “guys, seriously, if this is a prank let’s just go inside and lock him out, then we’ll have the last laugh.
naomi after not getting a reply, naomi rolled her eyes and sighed loudly, now walking closer “not cute” she flashed the flashlight all around her until she saw the same figured and she let out a laugh “okay idiot, i found you. stop being a creep and come back to the cabin.” still no response. naomi’s eyebrows furrowed and she took a few steps closer “cristian, seriously c'mon.” now she was feeling scared, the way cristian was being unresponsive— well if it even was him. maybe something had happened to him and naomi was talking to some freak. she was now close enough to touch him and she did just that, arm raising to tap him on the shoulder, only for the person to turn around. it wasn’t cristian. naomi let out a loud scream, dropping the flashlight as she turned around and ran back in the direction of the cabin. blair was doing her best to pull daniel back into the house as naomi made her way over to where they thought cristian was. “babe, please,” she begged. when naomi screamed, her eyes shot up. daniel was busy going back and forth with blair when he heard a scream from naomi. “what the hellbeas that?” he questioned, furrowing his eyebrows as he moved to go towards naomi. “what’s wrong?”
naomi pushed past daniel and blair, opening the door to the cabin only to find herself tripping over the rug and falling to the floor. “ow, fuck.” she groaned, laying on the floor as she waited for the other two to come in. “oh my god shut the door and lock it!”
blair followed her as quick as she could, pulling daniel into the cabin and slamming the door shut. “what the hell?!” damaris hearing the thud of naomi hitting the floor, damaris jumped up and hopped over bryce’s sleeping form, rushing out into the main room of the cabin. “what happened? where’s cris?”
daniel was more confused than ever, looking down at naomi as he was rushed back into the cabin. “what the fuck is going on?”
naomi didn’t feel like getting up and she rested on her elbows, looking at everyone as she tried to catch her breath. “cristian… that wasn’t him” she said, swallowing the lump in her throat “i told you guys there was someone out there!”
daniel “so wait–” he began, trying his best to keep up. “that person out there – it wasn’t cristian?”
damaris “there was someone out there?” she felt so out of the loop, staring back and forth between everyone present, “naomi- what just happened?”
blair “well, i’m fucking done,” she insisted, throwing her hands up and going to get her phone.
daniel “it was probably just someone trying to freak us out.”
naomi “i thought cristian was being a dumbass so i went after him. i kept calling his name but he wouldn’t reply so i like… tapped him and…” she looked up at daniel “really? who? who would do that?” she shook her head and continued with her story “i tapped him and when he turned around, well it wasn’t him.”
damaris “and whoever it was, is still out there?- you left cristian out there, with whoever it was you thought was him?” she didn’t mean to sound so accusatory- she was just /scared/, “someone needs to call him. we should have done that from the start, someone- who has reception?”
blair “he’s not here,” blair groaned, walking back over to them. “the van was gone and we’re all here so chances are, he ditched.”
naomi shook her head “he wasn’t out there, damaris. i didn’t see the truck and if he was around, then he would have came over here the second he heard me scream. he might be an asshole but… okay yeah what blair said. he ditched.”
damaris “cristian wouldn’t just ditch us. if the vans gone, maybe..- maybe he’s just gone… for gas? or..- or food, or something. he wouldn’t ditch- why aren’t any of you trying to call him? i-” shaking her head a few too many times, damaris turned on her heel and stalked off to the room to get her phone, throwing over her shoulder, “i’ll do it, he’ll- he’ll pick up and he’ll explain. he wouldn’t ditch us.”
blair looked over at damaris and then over at daniel. “maybe he went to get some food or something but he didn’t leave a note or even a text, did he?”
daniel “he ditched, that’s all there is to it.” daniel sighed out, shaking his head. “i don’t know who or what was out there, but let’s just try to relax.”
naomi “i wanna go home now. good guy, that cristian.” she sarcastically commented, getting up and dusting herself off.
blair “i’m with naomi. can we please go home?”
damaris “for the last time- cristian wouldn’t ditch, okay? he wouldn’t leave us here like this,” she returned with her phone in hand, though, it was utterly useless- there were no bars, “we can’t go home without the van, unless you want to pay the huge taxi far we’d be facing.”
blair “i’ll pay for whatever you want if we can just leave.”
naomi sighed “i don’t know and i don’t care.” she walked to the kitchen, trying to find something to drink when she saw a note on the table “uh, guys? there’s a note on the table.” she called out, reaching for the small sheet of paper.
damaris “see? he left a note- what’s it say, naomi? he went to get something, right?”
naomi read the note and gave damaris a small smile “ ‘decided to leave without you losers. see you in silverwood.’ it says.”
daniel “i knew that jackass was up to something.” daniel grumbled, clenching his jaw for a moment. “well, i’m going back to sleep. i’ve had enough for the night.
”blair “it still doesn’t explain why there’s someone outside.”
naomi “or the lights being cut off.”
damaris “he ditched.” even having as little trust in cristian as she did, damaris hadn’t thought that he would leave them. she’d still, somehow, thought he was better than that- and now, her expression fell. “guess you guys were right. i’m…-” she shook her head and gave the most uncaring shrug she could muster at blair and naomi’s words, “doesn’t matter. the lights probably just went out, the person could’ve been a hiker- there’s explanations for everything, guys.”
daniel “it was probably just a homeless person.” he tried to reason, willing to saying almost anything at this point to get them to calm down. “let’s just go to sleep and get the hell out of here in the morning.”
blair wasn’t convinced. “why would there be a homeless person all the way out here when there’s a town right there?” she gestured back in the direction of marblemount.
naomi “exactly. and how exactly are we gonna leave? he took the van. unless you suggest hiking out of here.”
daniel “well, it’s not like we can uber out there.” he rolled his eyes. “can you guys just drop it, please?”
blair “drop what exactly? the fact that our friend ditched us? that there’s some creep walking around outside? that we have no way home? which part am i dropping?”
naomi hesitated before jumping in to their argument “maybe daniel’s right. let’s just get more rest and talk about it tomorrow. y'know when we’re not running on three hours of sleep.”
blair spun around. “of course you’d agree with him! go ahead then, go to sleep while some random guy stalks us outside.” she turned back to face daniel. “better yet, why don’t you guys share the bed so you’ll be comfortable before we die.”
daniel shut his eyes, sighing as she dragged on. "blair, c'mon..." he groaned. "we're safe inside, there's nothing to worry about. and we'll handle cristian when we get to silverwood."
naomi ignored blair "yup. lock the doors and everything. we're sleeping in the same room so if something happens we can just... attack it as a group versus staying up all night and having no energy to put up a fight so." she put the note down "i'm going back to sleep. on the floor."
blair stood with her arms crossed. "we're not going to silverwood."
daniel "we are." daniel then started back towards the bed. "now let's go to sleep for fuck's sake."
blair squinted at him, getting angrier by the second, but had to contain it as she followed daniel back into the room where people were sleeping.

I Think That God Is Gonna Have To Kill Me Twice [ Part III ] || SQUAD
naomi nodded, making her way out of the room and into the hallway, searching for what verena needed. just as she turned the corner, she bumped into someone and she let out a scream before realizing how it was. "jesus, bryce where have you been? have you seen damaris?"
damaris she'd tried a few doors in a long line before she'd finally found one that opened, pushing on through into a pitch black room and falling to the floor in front of the door she'd pushed shut, hoping that her dead weight would be enough keep it so if someone came looking. she was only a corridor away, and, she heard the commotion- but in pure undiluted fear, damaris had thrown her hands over her ears to try ignore it instead of doing something, and pulled her legs up to her chin, pushing her face against her knees to try and muffle the sound of hysterical sobs. she sat like that for a long time, the minutes dragging by as she sat scared of what was happening to the group, and scared of what might follow her, before she finally managed to gather herself enough to at least pull her hands away, and listen to see what was going on. it was quieter, now, than it had been when she'd fallen in the door- the door which, in all that time, hadn't budged. forcing herself into action, damaris struggled back to her feet and felt around on the wall, trying to find a light switch, and lucking out when she pushed in one and one dusty light bulb over her head turned on. she turned to face the room- more a supply closet, than anything- expecting to see shelves and abandoned supplies... and instead, her eyes landed on the broken and bloody but unmistakable body of cristian ramos, dumped unceremoniously a few feet ahead of her. without any more thought about what what might have been outside the door, damaris opened her mouth, and screamed.
bryce startled when something — someone — bumped into him. for a split second, he tensed, ready to run, but then he heard his name. his shoulders fell, and he exhaled in relief as he realized it was only naromi. "you just nearly caused me to go sprinting in the other direction and everyone knows i don't do cardio enough for that." it took a moment, and then the slight smile he had fell from his face. “i was just wandering — this place is worse than a halloween maze, i’ll tell you — and what do you mean have i seen damaris? i thought she would’ve been with one of you all.”
verena jumped having heard another scream. "jesus, not again." glancing up to daniel, vee tried her best to stop the bleeding as best she could.
daniel "just keep going, please." he sniffled, staring down a blair. "c'mon," he whispered. "wake up, baby."
naomi realized that he was not up to date on anything that had just happened, "oh christ," she let out a loud breath, prepared to tell him everything when he heard a scream down the hallway. "that's damaris." she told him in a panicked tone, beginning to sprint down the hallway in the direction from where the scream came from. she arrived at the room and looked at damaris before her eyes landed on cristian. "no no no..." she cried, "damaris, damaris come here." her eyes didn't move from his body as she urged the girl to exit the room.
verena nodded to his request. "she's gonna be fine daniel. the wound isn't so bad. we just have to stop the bleeding and get the fuck out of here."
damaris she wanted to rush to him. her first thought was that there must be something they could do to help, like with daniel's leg, and they could make him better. but the puddle of blood she'd been...- god, she'd been sitting in it- was dry, and it was clear that cristian was gone. "he- he's dead," was about all she could manage, upon naomi's arrival. she didn't need to be told- one fleeting look her way told her that naomi was well aware of the fact, but... it was all she could think to say.
bryce still had a look of confusion on his face. his brows knitted together, but before he could ask naomi what had happened, they both heard the scream. goosebumps rose on his arms. as much as he wished otherwise, he recognized the voice. just as quick as naomi, he ran behind, eyes widening as he paused in the doorway. it took a moment for him to process what he was looking at, and once he did he took a few steps towards damaris. "c'mon, damaris, come just —" he was struggling with words "—step away from him."
naomi closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "listen to him, damaris. don't do this to yourself." she knew the girl was probably not even listening to her, "blair's bleeding out and she needs our help. damaris i know this is hard but we have to go."
daniel "we should have never come here," he mumbled, shaking his head.
verena "stop. don't do this to yourself okay? it's not going to do any good. we're here and we all need to focus on getting out of here not thinking about what if's, okay?!"
daniel "you're right," daniel nodded, taking a deep breath knowing he needed to be strong for the group. "let's just finish this up."
damaris naomi could have stood there all night and not gotten through to her- but bryce’s arrival, sudden as it was, did wonders, and the two together did even more. it physically pained her to pull her gaze from cristian- from his body- and it hurt even more to take a shaky step away from him, but after one it got marginally easier and then all of a sudden she was barreling into bryce, not sobbing, brokenly, like one might think- but clinging to him, numbly, burying her face in his shoulder less for comfort, more to stop herself looking back. and then naomi mentioned blair. “what happened to her?” cristian who? she’d feel it in a minute- she’d feel that pain- but right now, blair was in trouble. right now there was something to focus on, that wasn’t the body she’d been sat a few feet from for a few minutes too long.
bryce turned quickly at naomi's remark, lips parting as if he were about to say something. too many thoughts were racing through his head. what had happened to cristian? what had happened to blair? what had he missed? but then damaris was at his side, and he wrapped his free arm around her shoulders. he turned his gaze from damaris to naomi, and echoed his half-sister's quetion, "yeah, i'd really like to know what happened, too?"
naomi "can we not talk about this here?" she didn't want to sound inconsiderate but the sight of her friend's dead body did make her feel dizzy and nauseous.
micah was well aware his single biology course freshman year wasn't going to be much help for blair, and thus rushed to the scene of damaris' scream, albeit a tad late. upon witnessing the corpse of his long time best friend, his entire body went numb--the most emotion he had felt in years causing his mind to deactivate. finally making his presence known, he quietly spoke, "what the actual fuck? we'll have to...we'll have to deal with this later. i'll take his body back to the van if anyone wants to help."
damaris his body. that almost cut through the numbness that had come down on her so quickly. cristian wasn't there anymore- it was just his body. "naomi-" she ignored micah's comment- maybe the first time she'd ever ignored micah, at all- and fixed the other girl with an empty sort of gaze, speaking slowly, and clearly, as if she just.. hadn't heard her, first time round, and not requested they take it elsewhere, "what are we going back to?- what happened to blair? i...- is there another body?"
naomi turned her head as micah walked in. she knew this was going to hit him the hardest. the two had been friends for the longest time and she couldn't imagine the pain he was in. "i- daniel stabbed blair and she's bleeding to death. verena is going to help her but she needs some supplies and t-that's why i'm out here."
bryce felt worn out. cristian was dead. that wasn't how this trip was supposed to go. it was supposed to be fun, exciting. and now this? one of them was dead, and apparently blair got stabbed -- by daniel, nonetheless. he stared at naomi, disbelief crossing his features, before looking towards micah. his expression was solemn as he nodded, saying, "yeah, i — i can help you with that later, definitely, but for right now we should see what we can do to help blair."
damaris "what does she need? we can- there's supplies here," here, with cristian. they might've been dusty, but, there were a few boxes of things on the shelves there- surely there'd be bandages, and whatever else was needed. the idea of stepping around the body to grab them turned her stomach, but... anything for blair.
naomi "she needs a chest seal. verena said it was in a thin package." she looked back down at the body, "it should be in here."
micah wasn't particularly adept in handling this level of sudden emotional toil. the scene had froze, hasty chatter ignored. "i'm not leaving him here," voice calm, cool, without nuance. "there may be shit back at the van when we take him there if you want a damn excuse but i'm not leaving him here. yeah, deal with this later but we are not leaving him here."
damaris "ok." it was easy as that. she flipped a switch, pulled away from bryce, and with her chin up and eyes averted from her ex, damaris moved back into the room. she scanned labels on boxes and even- god, how could she ignore him, how could she ignore this- stepped over his legs, gingerly, to pull a box of chest seals down and move back to naomi at a pretty steady speed. "lead the way."
bryce stood, looking between the shelves and his friends. this situation — it was a lot, and he was still trying to wrap his head around it. finally, he took a breath and said, "did you want to take him back now? or did you want to wait until we know that blair's okay? we can come back for him." a part of him didn't want to split the group down any further than it already was, but a part of him didn't think micah was going to leave cristian's body.
naomi stepped back, letting damaris exit the room. "we really have to get back," her she goes again not wanting to sound inconsiderate. "you guys should take it back. here's my walkie talkie," she hands micah the small device, "please be safe."
damaris "bryce-" she looked back, her gaze falling onto cristian again, lingering there before it flickered up to her half brother. "be careful. and, uh...-" take care of him, she wanted to say, and it wouldn't have been about micah, "i- see you soon." as long as there was something else to focus on, she wasn't going to break. and right now, it was blair. moving off down the corridor, damaris clutched the box of seals a little too tightly, speaking up after just a second, "naomi- why did daniel stab blair?"
micah knelt down beside the corpse of cristian, still attempting to wrap his thoughts around the situation. "i'm taking him back now." aimed at bryce, he continued, "if you want to help, then feel free. if not, then whatever." his movements picked up speed as he grabbed the walkie from naomi's hand and stuffed it in his back pocket. cautiously, he began lifting up cristian's upper torso.
naomi sighed, "so much happened. blair was possessed. yeah— weird. the thing in her started messing with everyone. i don't know if it was telling the truth about some of the things that it said..." she trailed off not telling her everything demon blair has said. "it was threatening to kill us so daniel stabbed it... blair and then everything stopped."
damaris "possessed," 'til just now, she mightn't have believed her. but... well- shit had gotten real. and yes, damaris was thinking it in such terms, instead of filling in with a substitute like crap- the situation called for stronger language. "what did it say, naomi?" she wasn't leaving that go so easily- she wanted specifics. any kind of specifics, instead of her just.. trailing off like that.
naomi didn't want to tell her everything but she knew it'd be important for damaris to know what all had happened. "she brought up micah's dad and how... physicalhe was. then it messed around with verena and her perfectionist tendencies. even said it was going to kill me and bryce in front of her... it told daniel that blair was cheating on him with cristian." she paused, looking over at damaris for a reaction "and then it just told me things about daniel and yeah." she stopped once they arrived back in the room. naomi walked over to verena and handed her the things she needed. "i—" she stopped herself once more, deciding to tell them about cristian afterwards.
bryce sighed, but could only bring himself to nod. as much as he didn't want to and as much as he would rather be doing anything else, he wasn't going to let micah move cristian alone. that would be harsh. it would be too cruel. "i'm not gonna bail out on you. i said i'd help you." he watched micah reach around cristian's upper half. "i guess this means i'm getting his feet then," he mumbled.
verena " finally! what'd you guys get lost? we almost had a dead body on our hands." verena tossed the jacket aside, glancing up at daniel, muttering a 'sorry' before wiping the wound clean and peeling open the seal and covering the small hole positioned between two of her ribs. "okay we gotta get her to a real hospital-- she's most likely gonna need surgery."
micah had a moment of strange kindness seep into him as the pair lifted up cristian. his gaze met bryce's. "thank you." after a moment of silent shuffle, his voice rang again, "it, uh, it means a lot to me." finding it the moment of authenticity awkward on his lips, he quickly tacked on, "it shouldn't take long. besides, i know he keeps some weird shit in his van."
naomi stayed quiet and didn't reply to verena's questions, instead turning around as she finished bandaging her up. "how are we going to get to a real hospital? marblemount doesn't have one and we don't have a car. at least i don't think cristian's van is accessible." she teared up at the mention of cristian, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes.
verena " let me put it this way. if we don't get her medical attention, she will die from internal bleeding so, she /have/ to get to a hospital!"
damaris "... poor micah and verena. poor you. i'm sorry you all went through that." i'm sorry i left. she listened, she took it in, she chewed it over... and she wondered, not so briefly, if there was any truth to what it had said. maybe it was wrong to let that begin to weigh on her mind, when cris was dead and blair was...- well, she really wasn't looking so good and the sight of her bleeding on the floor made damaris' head spin. but it did- it was bound to. she waited, silently, as verena worked, until after naomi spoke. "we can't use the van. micah's bringing cristian's body there."
blair blair's eyes suddenly shot open and widened, grabbing the closest thing to her which of course was daniel.
naomi "how do we know you're not the psycho bitch blair?" was the first thing naomi asked.
verena " don't be silly naomi, she's always a psycho bitch."
blair "there was, and it- and you- where did it go?" she cried out, trying to sit up but instantly lying back down from pain.
daniel "it's her," he shook his head, glancing up at naomi, then shooting verena a glare before letting it fall back down at blair. "babe?" he mumbled.
blair "it broke my gun, daniel. in half-" she winced. "like it was a twig!"
naomi ran her hand over her face, "okay okay but just to be safe. shouldn't we like... tie her hands or something? so she won't hurt us again?"
damaris "you're not tying her hands."
verena didn't care that daniel was clearly pissed at her comment. she'd helped save her life when she didn't have to so, she deserved a pass. " can we.. id on't know, get the fuck out of here perhaps?"
blair looked at naomi. "hurt you?" she looked around. "did i miss something?"
naomi "you weren't here when she practically body slammed us against the wall," naomi snapped at damaris, "yes, hurt. and i'm with verena. we have to go." she was glad no one had said anything about cristian.
blair "how did i-" she tried to sit up but lied back down. "i.. can't."
daniel "we'll explain later!" he urged, shaking his head. "verena is right – we've gotta get out of here!"
damaris "well, i'm sorry i was a little too busy finding my bo- my ex- cristian's body, naomi, to be here and going through whatever it was you just did, but, you're not tying blair's hands when she's clearly her, and we're not leaving until micah and bryce are done moving him."
blair "what?" she looked over horrified.
verena "what do you mean 'move him'?"
damaris "i mean he's dead, so, he can't move himself. that's why we can't use the van- unless you want to share the backseat with his corpse."
blair 's eyes welled up. "what?"
naomi "yeah he's gone. micah and bryce are moving him right now."
verena was shocked at damaris' words. not fully believing the words that left her mouth. "well, if we don't take the van, theres a very good chance blair might be in the same position as cristian."
daniel "body?" daniel looked up and turned his attention to damaris. "dead?" and it felt like his heart had stopped a second time that day. "what the fuck did i get us into.."
blair couldn't take it any longer. she put her hands behind her and pushed up off the ground, standing up through the pain. she almost immediately began to fall over.
naomi knew verena was right. "she's right guys. we have to ride in the van with him in it. i know it's not in ideal situation but..."
bryce could only nod. what was he supposed to have done? left micah to deal with it? he shuddered at the very thought. "yeah, no problem." he winced at how tactless that sounded, but he couldn't have thought of a more appropriate thing to say. "this is the right thing to do, though. not leaving him."
damaris you got cristian killed. you got blair possessed. you being so into this idea has ruined our lives - maybe if she were inclined to be so cruel, to throw the blame somewhere where it couldn't lie, damaris would've said the first things that went through her mind. instead, she shook her head, and after a moment, added quietly, "he's dead. it wasn't your fault. you didn't get us into anything- and cristian...- he got himself into this situation." he left. he ditched. he died. "i- i'm not riding in a van and sitting beside his body. i'm not... i'm not doing that. i- i can't."
naomi "do you really want to walk out on the streets in the middle of the night, alone, knowing there's someone out there looking for us?" she asked damaris, "you don't have to sit by him... we can even cover him up or something..."
micah was glad the van wasn't entirely too far from the hospital. "i just--i couldn't--" he searched for words to complete his half thoughts, but upon finding none he fell silent. upon reaching the van, he recalled it was unlocked before this incident but before doing anything he suggested, "since we'll probably want to take the van back, we could set him down in the trunk? it's not the most ceremonious thing but, it'll do."
damaris "... no. i don't. i don't wanna do either of those things, i-" i want to go home. she wanted to abandon ship and just go home, now, and go to sleep in her bed and wake up to find none of this had ever happened but...- but blair was hurt. blair needed help. no matter what was currently going on in her head, what questions she had- that was important. "... let's get her to the van."
bryce this was such an uncomfortable situation. maybe in the past he would have joked about helping his friends move a body, but never would he have thought that this would have been the scenario. the brief silence shared between him and micah was not unwelcome. his face wrinkled with unease but he agreed. "i guess that's the best thing we can do for now, honestly." he paused, before saying, " this just doesn't feel real, you know?"
naomi nodded and walked over to help blair so she wouldn't fall over. "you good?" she asked, asking for damaris and verena to come help her guide her out.
blair "do you have the supplies? i still have to fix his leg." that was what she chose to think about in order to keep herself awake but it was failing.
verena moved in and helped get blair stable.
naomi "yeah, we got everything on our backpacks." she muttered, walking out the room and into the hallway. with the help from the others, naomi was able to get blair to the truck where she waited for the guys to get back with the you know what.
blair being upright was taking its toll on her and she began to mumble incoherently until she finally passed out again.
micah leveraged cristian against one of his arms as he reached out towards the driver's side door, swinging it open and quickly pressing the button to unlock all doors. "you're right," he admitted, "this doesn't feel real." pulling the pair towards the back of the van, he sighed, "maybe this isn't. maybe this is some wacky fucking dream. the cannibal family popping in, blair being stabbed, cris..." he couldn't bring himself to finish the final statement, stopping in his tracks as they reached the trunk of the van.
damaris as naomi and verena moved in to help blair, damaris looked around and spotted daniel's camera on the floor where it must have fallen, earlier- reaching down to pick it up and realizing, when she did, that it was still recording. rather than say something right then, she pressed stop and slipped it into her backpack- almost forgotten, til then- before moving to help daniel and following the girls out.
naomi "shit," she muttered, opening the passenger's door and helping blair get in. "hang in there, okay?" naomi walked to the backside of the car where bryce and micah were, "um, who's driving?"
damaris helping daniel into the backseat of the van, damaris hovered, unsure, her gaze locked on the back of the van where she knew cristian's body lay. "i- i'll drive. i'd prefer to, actually, if that's ok."
bryce said under his breath, "this is so fucked up." he followed micah's lead, not wanting to make this more difficult than it already was. "just wish we could wake up already." he struggled to support both of cristian's legs with just one arm, but bryce managed to open the trunk. "i guess in he goes?"
naomi "okay, you can drive. i'm assuming you know where the spare is?" she asked damaris, opening the backseat door and sliding in next to daniel and verena.
micah laughed quietly, "that would be fucking fantastic. then we could all skip through the fields, holding hands and singing kumbaya." wordlessly, he followed bryce's lead and tucked cristian into the trunk, doing his best to not freak out the other passengers piling in. hearing mention of a spare key, he piped up loud enough for the rest of the group to hear, "check in the corner of the glove box, behind all the of the instruction manuals." turning towards bryce, he nodded his head slightly to the side, "guess that's our cue to get in."
damaris "of course i do," he'd never told her (probably so she wouldn't be driving his beloved van), but, being observant was damaris' thing. sliding into the drivers seat she reached for the glove compartment and rummaged around, moving aside the manuals until her shaky fingers found the key and pulled it out, sliding it into the ignition and starting up the van. "guess there's no point in telling you all to put your seat belts on, hm?- who's going to give me directions?"
naomi "i've got the map," she spoke from the backseat, "are you guys getting in or what?" naomi turned her head back as she called out to bryce and micah.
micah sighed, "fine, fine, one sec." shortly after, he piled into the van with the rest of the gang.
bryce "guess that it is." once the trunk was closed, bryce headed around towards the side of the van. getting inside, he was quiet. he didn't feel as if there was anything he could say.
naomi began to tell damaris the directions back to the motel. "you guys know we can't take blair to a real hospital, right?"
damaris "okay..." once the doors were closed, damaris put her foot down a little too quickly, the van jolting forward suddenly and resulting in the not so great sound of a body rolling in the trunk, "-sorry. Sorry, I- I got it." Her grip on the steering wheel was white knuckled and she felt so damn out of place behind it- but one false start was it, and soon, she had the van going in the opposite direction of the abandoned hospital. "... why not?" she asked, gaze on naomi in the rear view mirror
naomi "there's no real hospital around here for miles. and truth be told i don't trust that town... not after..." she knew right now was not the time to bring it up but she was tired of holding it in, "me and verena found this notebook back in marblemount. it has a lot of things in it.... like information on the patients that ended up escaping."
damaris "a- you found a notebook on the patients?" damaris spluttered, her gaze- that had only just gone back to the road as naomi had spoken- going back to her in the mirror, "and you're only bringing that up now? as in- right now, when, cristian's dead and blair's bleeding out- you didn't think maybe you should mention that before, or, you know... wait?"

I Think That God Is Gonna Have To Kill Me Twice [ Part II ] || SQUAD
naomi as soon as the scream was heard, harley started barking loudly which caused naomi to jump back and drop it "what the fuck is going on?!"
micah still not ready to admit there was something supernatural occurring, he reason, "probably just us picking up from a dif--what the hell?" his train of thought was cut off from the scream. "let's fucking head back." before the other two could comment, he was already shuffling towards the front door.
verena was hot on micah's heels, not wanting to be wandering around alone.
naomi was trying to get harley to calm down as the two ran off "i'll be there in a sec!" she yelled out, turning back to the dog. "not now, c'mon."
micah manages to get towards the front door, only to see it shut again. after failing to be able to pry it open once again, he banged furiously against it, yelling, "you guys okay?! fucking open up if you can!"
naomi catches up to them with harley finally under control. "how is the door locked? blair shot it open for fucks sake." she now began to pound on the door, "blair! daniel! damaris! open up!"
damaris it didn’t immediately register to her, that her body had been jerked backwards and was now falling through the air, crashing painfully against the wall across from the door that had since slammed shut, far too loudly. it happened too fast- she was slow on the uptake and then, there was that scream. maris looked from the door to daniel- lying dead still where he had fallen, so much so that her heart only began to beat even more fast at the thought that maybe he was- and the door and then, everything caught up to her and she realized things had gone very badly south. she struggled to her feet and disorientated, began to rush the wrong way- her intention was to get back to the door, to the others, to safety and help, but instead, she hobbled the opposite direction.
naomi groaned loudly, "someone open the fucking door!"
blair pulled the door open, panting.
naomi "what the hell happened?" she asked as she saw blair, pushing past her to enter the building, "why did you scream like that? where are daniel and damaris?!"
verena 's eyes widened when blair opened the door for them. "why did you guys lock the door?"
blair "something was- it slammed all the doors," she huffed leading them to where they'd been. "i tried to shoot it and it broke my gun! like broke it in half! then it threw me and the door unlocked," she gestured at the operating room door. "it threw them too, i don't know where they ended up."
naomi followed blair, "jesus christ, are they okay?" she asked, running into the operating room only to find daniel on the ground and damaris missing, "o-oh my god daniel," she crouches down next to him, "blair is he okay?!?"
blair "how the hell should i know! i didn't even know they were in here, all i heard was you guys banging on the door!"
naomi "how are you not freaking out right now? especially over daniel." she turns to look at blair, "and damaris is missing? no no no no, this isn't happening."
blair "i just got attacked!" she yelled, smacking herself in the chest. "it's called shock! jeez mimi, we're in a fucking hospital, grab a book and look it up."
verena eyed blair, noticing something was off. "blair, calm down. you yelling at us isn't going to help us find damaris and help daniel okay?"
naomi "wait..." she slowly got up, giving blair a look, "what did you just call me?" naomi hadn't heard that nickname ever since her and blair quit being friends.
blair 's head snapped in her direction. "what? who cares what i called you, my boyfriend is unconscious!"
naomi "you haven't called me that in years." naomi knew right now was not the time to talk about a dumb nickname but it was too odd to go unnoticed.
verena "okay, can we not do this right now? something really fucked up is happening and you two taking a walk down memory lane isn't helpful !"
blair "that's really what you want to focus on right now? it's not a big deal."
naomi dropped it, still having an off feeling about everything. "well we need to find damaris and... and see what we can do with him." she crouched down next to daniel, bringing her hand to rest on his chest.
blair "keep your hands to yourself," she snapped, dropping to her knees and putting her ear to his chest.
naomi backed away from him, turning towards verena, "she's acting weird" naomi whispered, "you caught on, right?"
blair sat up. "he's dead i think, that or mostly dead. not quite sure. either way, there's not much hope."
micah "anyone here know cpr?" he suggested, slowly backing away from blair and daniel. her lack of care was extremely out of character and he wasn't about to be wrapped up in it.
naomi at her words, naomi began to tear up, "how are you so calm about this?!" she forcefully pushed blair aside, "i kind of remember from high school but..." she laid her hands on his chest and began doing compressions. "oh, fuck."
verena nodded towards naomi, her eyes flashing back to blair as she nonchalantly said her boyfriend was dead.
blair she smacked her head a few times as if she were trying to get water out of her ears. "alright you dumb bitch, i'll fix your fucking boyfriend if it will get you to stop screaming for five minutes," she reached out and put her hand on daniel's chest, reviving him. "now shut the fuck up or i'll snap his neck." a smirk spread across blair's face as all of the doors and windows slammed shut, sending them all sliding into walls and pinning them. "sorry, it's hard to pretend to be someone when all they fucking do is cry about their dying boyfriend," she grumbled, shrugging. “it was fun while it lasted though, i guess.”
verena furrowed her brow as she looked around the room, terrified of what was actually happening. " i always knew blair was a spawn of satan! i bet all of you believe me now!"
micah had no sense of self-preservation and the moment blair began to become obviously not blair, he lunged towards naomi and tugged her away from the situation. of course, the effort was fruitless because within moments they were all stuck to the wall. oh god not this again. quite nonchalantly, he spoke up, "so which one of the silverwood fuckers are you, not-really-blair?"
daniel a deep gasp feel from daniel's lips as his eyes shot open, but his body unable to move. "what the fuck is going on?" he choked out.
naomi tried to move but couldn't. "what did you do to blair?!" she asked, her head pounding from how hard it hit the wall.
blair "hmmm," she grinned, tapping her chin. "who to eat first. decisions, decisions."
naomi "e-eat?!" she looked over at verena and micah with a horrified expression, "daniel do something!" naomi called out as she saw that he was conscious again.
verena 's chest rose and fell as she began to panic as she was pinned against the wall. "how about the body you've so rudely inhabited?"
blair "ah, yes, because she'd be the first one you'd kill, isn't that true verena?" she beamed.
verena "yeah, she would." narrowing her eyes at blair's stolen body. "what? did you think we were all the best of friends or something?"
blair snorted. "actually, i really don't care. i just like to play with my food before i eat it, if that's okay with all of you? yes? good." she sashayed over to micah, running her hand on his chin. "i think we'll start with you."
naomi "leave him alone!" she shouted, trying to break free from whatever it was that was holding her against the wall.
micah still had no sense of self-preservation or reality of the danger they were in, though admittedly, a bit of fear did run up his spine. but, instead of actually acting on this fear, he chose a more....micah...route. "look, ghostie, i understand your desire. y'know, it's taboo and all. what i don't understand, is why you don't fucking eat a chicken. white meat is so much better for moving quickly. but hey, you do you, i guess."
blair smushed micah's cheeks with her hands, completely ignoring him. "you're just a shit show aren't you. so many issues. a little bit of mommy, a little bit of daddy, and you just play asshole to cover your pain."
micah laughed as much as he could with limited range. he was sort of amused with this demon. though hindered blair's hands, he contested, "nah, mostly i'm just an asshole. but hey, if you're going to kill me, can we fucking know who you are?"
blair she rubbed her hands on micah's head. "oh, that's better. what if i punched you?" she chuckled. "beat you up? would that make you feel more at home? like you're with daddy?"
naomi "what the hell is wrong with you?!" naomi cried as she listened to everything it was saying to micah. "just leave him alone, leave us alone."
micah grew silent. he was doing so much better on this trip too. speaking more, being less of an asshole, and this certainly wasn't going to help. after naomi spoke, micah's voice grew dark, "do it. punch me. hit me. kill me. see if i give a damn."
verena stayed silent, looking around the room for anything she could use to help them all escape once they weren't stuck up against the wall.
blair pet his face with the back of her hand. "being alive is enough torture for you, isn't it? i think i'll let you live. for now."
daniel stayed silent for a while before taking a deep breath and deciding to speak up. "hey!" he called out, trying his best not to sound absolutely terrified. "blair – i know you're in there and i know you're a hell of a lot stronger than whatever it is that has you possessed right now."
micah felt no relief as whatever the hell that thing was passed him by. his gaze turned towards naomi, verena, and damaris, nearly about to say something before daniel's voice echoed.
blair "she says... shut up or it will break your neck. oh look, your girlfriend's a smart one," she chuckled as she made her way to verena. "you're up miss perfect."
verena 's eyes snapped back to the /thing/ that was currently possessing blair. "who me? well at least you're right about something."
blair "oh no, see that's where you're wrong. this pretty girl," it gestured to blair's body, “thinks you're smart. i honestly do not care. nobody you love actually cares about you at all. your parents, your fake friends, your real friends..."
verena glared back at it, her emotions going wild the more it spoke. it took a moment for her to get her barrings, but once she did, vee chuckled softly before spitting in its face, a smirk on her lips. "hmm, i've always wanted to do that..."
daniel "if you let us go, we promise to get out of town." he interjected once more, doing his best to reason.
blair it laughed, wiping it's face. "you're a failure verena. nobody loves you, you're alone. and maybe, just maybe, i'll eat bryce and naomi and let you watch."
verena "how am i a failure? aren't you the demon who can't pass through to the after life? sounds to me like you're the one who's the failure.."
blair "i chose not to pass on, you insignificant twit. ah yes, insignificant. that's the best word for you. have fun watching all of your friends die, my love."
naomi started praying quietly in spanish as tears rolled down her cheeks.
verena glanced over to naomi then moved her eyes to everyone else in the room. "i have a question-- if ya don't mind. you said you were going to 'eat us', what does that mean exactly?" verena had no clue what she was doing. all she knew was that she needed to stall.
blair "it means, i'm. going. to eat. you." she grinned. "who's next?" it turned toward naomi. "ahhh, mimi, the bestie. you're running around her stupid brain like crazy."
daniel felt so helpless, /guilty/ that he was he reason they were in this mess. "just let us go and we swear we won't come back!"
naomi shook her head as blair approached her, desperately moving around but it was no use since she was stuck. "god just leave us alone!"
daniel "naomi, relax." daniel called out calmly. "if it was gonna hurt us, it would have done it by now." he hoped his words were true, seeing as they were just dangling bait in front of it. "please –" he begged once more. "just give us blair back and let us go."
blair "you know mimi, blair has a great big deal of guilt toward you. i bet you already knew, but daniel really wanted to be with you and not her. so you know what the bitch did? she threatened to kill herself if he didn't date her instead." she stroked naomi's hair. "he'd still rather be with you and she knows it. that's why she's so mean to you."
naomi wanted bit her lip harshly, "s-stop lying." her voice was weak and her eyes shifted to daniel, "is that true?"
verena "god, is this a shitty oxygen reality show or..? what the fuck do you want from us?" verena was more than annoyed with the whole situation. getting more and more irritated that she couldn't move.
blair "but then you went and fucked that guy in town!" it sighed.
naomi eyes widened "shut up." as if that was going to do anything. "if you're going to kill us just do it already you bitch."
blair "that old man psycho killer! how could you do that to poor daniel? and now-” it put her hands on naomi's stomach. "now you've got a demon baby in you!"
naomi started to shake her head, feeling her skin crawl as blair touched her. "stop talking, stop talking!" she shouted.
verena gasped obnoxiously. "you're a pathetic excuse for a demon, ya know that?" vee rolled her eyes as it continued to try and stir the groups emotions up. "if you were really anything to be scared of, you'd let us go so you could hunt us down like a real entity would."
blair grinned. "poor, poor naomi." it turned, "it's really funny to watch you be wrong all the time," it said to verena as it made it's way to daniel. "and last but not least-" it grinned, straddling daniel on the floor. "her favorite. though i don't get why when she cheats on you all the time with your best friend."
daniel purses his lips, his teeth clenched as it made its way over to her. "nothing your saying is true." he mumbled. "i'm not going to believe a word you said."
blair "oh really?" it grinned. "so all those times she said she had to hang out with her dad, you think that's really what she was doing? her dad is a workaholic, he doesn't want to spend time with her. and you, you're just not good enough. so she needed a bad boy. and to be fair, he had her first."
daniel "had her first?" daniel furrowed his brows. "you know what – what do you want from us?"
naomi saw a tray filled with surgery equipment in the corner of the room. she tried to get daniel's attention, motioning him to it. 'stab. her.' she mouthed, hoping he had seen her.
blair "oh you didn't know? blair was with cristian first. did you think you were the first to have this hot body?" it teased, rubbing blair's body.
verena caught what naomi was signaling to daniel, hoping he'd take the hint, but knowing that even if he did, he would never stab her regardless of if she wasn't blair at the moment.
daniel glanced over at naomi and then to the tray of supplies. it was the /last/ thing he wanted to do, but knew it was possibly the only way they could make it out. taking a deep breath, daniel reached over, grabbing the closet thing on the tray and jamming into blair's arm.
blair laughed and leaned forward. "that was cute, danny boy."
naomi "in the chest daniel!" she shouted, tired of being held against her will.
daniel closed his eyes before raising his arm again and hitting the side of her body, near her rib cage.
blair hissed. "ohh that was dumb. see, i can leave. she can't," it grinned. "good job, killing your girlfriend." then blair's head tilted back and black smoke poured out of her mouth. she dropped to the floor and the hold on everyone fell away.
naomi felt herself drop alongside verena and micah. she scurried to her feet, taking a step back from blair. "is she...." she trailed off, looking at the rest of them.
daniel immediately put his hand over the wound, slightly shaking her body. "blair - blair!" he called out as he lowered his head. "she's still breathing, but what do we do?!" he exclaimed, looking around at the group.
naomi "keep pressure on it. we're going to have to stitch it back up. verena, do you remember how blair did it last time? with daniel's leg?"
verena got up on to her feet, moving over to the others and dropping on her knees beside blair. "yeah, i actually learned how to stich a wound in preparation for this trip. yak know.. just in case."
daniel frantically looked at verena, hoping she knew what she was doing. "she won't stop bleeding," daniel choked out. "we've got to do something."
verena nodded in his direction as she pulled the kit from her bag. "i'm gonna need more tools, we have to seal her chest and i don't think this kit has anything to do that.." she continued to look, removing her jacket and covering the wound.
naomi "i'll go look for something. maybe i'll find damaris and bryce on the way?" she called for harley, not wanting to go alone.
verena "micah, can you go with her? i don't think anyone should be alone right now."
daniel "what do you need me to do?" he asked, trying his hardest to not let the tears drop from his eyes.
naomi "no it's fine. really i can do this." she just needed some time alone, "and we need to save blair."
verena gave naomi a look, not liking the idea of her being alone. "okay, fine. i need a chest seal-- it will be in a thin package. stitches aren't going to help-- she'll just bleed out so, hurry!"

I Only Wrote This Down To Make You Press Rewind || SQUAD
blair let out a groan. "are we done yet?"
naomi "we just got here." she continued to unpack the rest of her things, "please don't tell me you're going to be whining the whole time."
daniel "c'mon guys," he grumbled. "if you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say it at all."
blair "i don't know why anyone wants to unpack, it's fucking disgusting here."
verena "you seriously want to leave? this is exactly what we came here for-- this is where the fun stuff happens!"
naomi "exactly. and i think we could all use some fun right now." she said, referring to the whole cristian situation.
daniel "oh, now you want to have fun?" he rolled his eyes. "what do you have in mind?"
verena "hey, you literally just said, 'if you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say it at all.'. or does that not apply to you?"
naomi rolled her eyes, "anyways, there's a church over there. could you get any more sinister? a church in murderville. there's gotta be something there."
daniel "that was constructive." he rolled his eyes before turning his attention back to naomi. "good thinking – let's gear up and go."
verena shrugged her shoulders. "i don't know... sounded pretty negative to me, but what do i know!" grabbing her backpack, vee threw it on and got ready to head out.
naomi "jesus christ can we please go one day without arguing. please. i'm tired of it." she said, gathering her things and making sure they were all set before turning to daniel "lead the way captain."
blair she let out a snort but grabbed her backpack and stood up.
daniel let out a long sigh as he grabbed his backpack and camera. "let's just go," he murmured, starting towards the door.
naomi "do you ever wonder what actually happened here? like i know that's the big question but... it's weird. which is sad 'cause this placed look pretty neat." she started up conversation, looking at all the abandoned shops the lined the street, "it's like a town from a movie."
verena "i think about what it was like to have been here when this place was still a town with people... like was is a nice little town? or did it always have this off putting vibe?"
blair "i'd rather not think about it actually," she mumbled, sliding her hand into daniel's.
naomi held tightly onto harley's leash, not wanting for her to run off (as if she would, the group had heavily trained her for this) "i like to think it was a nice little town. it gave people the chance to be like... regular people i guess? y'know if you forget about the fact that they were all criminals."
daniel "nah, i think it always had some kind of eerie vibe to outsiders – not townies." daniel chimed in, filming as they walked along. "cristian is gonna regret pulling that bullshit after seeing this footage."
naomi "is it weird to say that i would have wanted to meet some of them? our documentary would be so much interesting if they were still, y'know, alive."
blair "naomi, sometimes i think you're just trying to get us killed."
daniel "i'm all for that, but you know we wouldn't live, right?" he chuckled.
verena "that would definitely make our documentary way better-- probably even get us a feature on the news if not a movie deal!"
blair "can you all stop? seriously, you're all nuts."
naomi "i mean like... never mind. what's the plan when we get to the church?"
daniel "whatever," daniel mumbled, shrugging his shoulders. "but i guess we can split into groups of two and scope the place out."
naomi "i mean like... never mind. what's the plan when we get to the church?"
daniel "whatever," daniel mumbled, shrugging his shoulders. "but i guess we can split into groups of two and scope the place out."
naomi his words weren't all that surprising. "fine. as long as i get to take harley."
blair looked at him like he had six heads. "seriously?"
verena " ooh yeah, i'm with naomi. not that you two would ever separate, but just so were clear."
blair "seriously? fine."
naomi "if you wanna do it. i, for one, don't want to but daniel calls the shots, right?"
daniel "it'll be fine." he assured. "we'll have walkies talkies and be able to keep in touch just in case of anything."
naomi "alright. that's it then." she said as the walked up the steps of the old church. her grip on the leash tightened more as she looked around, noticing how creepy it looked. "damn... okay i guess this is where we part our ways?"
daniel "guess so," he shrugged, giving everyone a nod. "but let's test the walkies first and then go."
blair "please tell me we're not using code names this time."
verena "if we are remember, i'm blue falcon!"
daniel "like i said – it's required when using the walkies." he nodded. "just call me soaring eagle."
blair rolled her eyes. "why?"
naomi "ooh i want icy cobra!"
daniel "well?" he asked, turning towards blair. "pick a name, babe!"
blair "i don't know, just make one up for me i guess."
daniel "how about pink panther?" he grinned.
blair "like the diamond?"
verena rolled her eyes. "sounds good. let's do this!"
naomi "i think we should take a picture of harley before we get to it. since.. y'know it's her first paranormal investigation." naomi said the last part in a baby voice, crouching down to pet her.
blair "let's see if we can make it a selfie."
daniel "i'm down for a family photo."
naomi pulled her phone out, going to the camera app "okay then let's do this."
blair leaned over behind harley. "alright harls, let's say cheese."
daniel "alright, enough selfies – let's get goin'."
blair "aww, one more," she grinned as harley licked her face.
naomi "i want to save my battery. maybe later." she said, putting the phone into her back pocket "meet back here in ten? twenty minutes?"
blair pulled out her phone and snapped one last picture before standing back up.
daniel "sounds good," he gave a nod. "keep your walkies on."
verena saluted the male, "aye aye captain!"
naomi "okay. stay safe." she smiled, letting harley lead her and verena towards the back of the building.
daniel held the walkie talkie up to his mouth as he and blair moved along the hall of the church. "soaring eagle and pink panther checking in, over." he grinned, glancing over at blair. "how sick is this place?"
naomi "icy cobra and blue falcon are all good. find anything? over." naomi replies, sitting down in the chair with harley by her side as verena continued to poke around.
verena giggled silently at how awesome their code names sounded coming through the walkie talkies. "can totally check this off the ol' bucket list !"
blair "it's going to make me sick if that's what you mean," she chuckled.
daniel "nothing too much yet, but gonna check a couple of rooms they have, over." daniel replies back, carefully searching around. "oh c'mon – breathe in the creepiness! isn't it awesome?"
blair looked around. "i don't think awesome and creepy should really be used in the same sentence."
naomi didn't reply to daniel and she got up from her seat, "remember the journal we found?" she asked verena, pulling it out of her backpack, "maybe there's something here that can help us put some of the pieces together."
daniel "but you know what should?" he asked as a smirked pulled across his lips. "you and sexy," he chuckled.
blair let out a snort. "that's original."
verena gave naomi a look, not wanting to believe the things they had found to be true. "if there was ever a place that could help us figure out what happened, this seems like a pretty good place to start."
daniel "oh c'mon," he sighed out as his lower lip poked out into a pout. "you need to loosen up – and maybe i've got an idea." he smirked, reaching out to take hold of her hand.
naomi nodded, flipping the small book open and reading the entries, "well there's nothing about the church services but...." she raised an eyebrow "it talks about their town meetings and how 'cruel' the mayor was." she looks up at verena "what does that mean?"
blair "if your idea is pretending to sacrifice me to satan then you and i have very different definitions of good ideas," she grumbled as he took her hand.
verena shrugged her shoulders, her head turning so she could keep her eyes out for anything. "it means that i hope that sick bastard isn't here."
daniel "although that sounds extremely interesting," he began speaking as he pulled her closer. "it wasn't quite my idea."
naomi let out a laugh "not physically. but in spirit." she joked, continuing to go through the book "okay.. more cryptic shit about the hospital and the neighborhood. guess we'll find more there than here."
blair scoffed, smacking his chest. "then what are you doing?"
daniel "i'm trying to make out with my girlfriend in a creepy ass church," he scoffed rolling his eyes. "so is she gonna stop complaining for five minutes or what?"
blair rolled her eyes and pressed her lips to his.
daniel "you think we should record this?" he teased.
verena "he better not be or he's gonna have to catch these hands!" looking over naomi's shoulder, she looked at the journal they'd found. "yeah-- who knows, we might get lucky and find something cool here too!"
blair "you're an asshole, you know that?" she huffed.
naomi "like what? i joked with micah that there might be a demons for dummise book around here. wouldn't that be something."
verena "nah, cristian isn't here to read it so, i doubt the ghosts would leave it around here!"
naomi "damn you really came for him." naomi laughed, calling harley to come to her side, "what if i do that thing they do in the crime shows where they get the dog to smell something and it leads them to person. what if harley here finds us something?"
verena " well, the ass just ditched us! i have no problem talking shit about him." looking around the eerie room, vee's eyes narrowed as she noticed a chained up door. "you think you can break in there?"
daniel "yeah, but you love me." he grinned, chuckling quietly. "c'mon," he murmured, bringing up his camera as he began to record. "how epic of a hook up spot would this be? how many people can say they've hooked up in a potentially haunted church?"
naomi looked in that direction and snorted "do i look like i can? no but there's no harm in trying." she walked over to the door, twisting the doorknob only to find it locked. "of course" she pushed against it but i wouldn't budge. "help?" she looked over at verena.
verena "on one condition. if i go flying through this door too, your ass better not tell every one /and/ show them video. got it ?"
blair "not many people would hook up in a haunted church. probably because they're, i don't know... smart?"
naomi "okay.... no promises but i'll try my best. seriously though this door has me both intrigued and frustrated."
verena "no! you have to promise! i kept the secret about the journal, you can not throw me under the bus just once." crossing her arms over her chest, verena looked at the other.
naomi "okay fine i promise i won't tell anyone if you wipe out."
daniel "it might not even be haunted," he shrugged, looking around. "it's old, smelly, run down – but we don't know if this place is haunted yet." daniel chimed.
blair "oh, i thought that was you," she teased.
verena smiled and moved over to the door. " okay, on the count of three... one, two, three."
naomi pushed against the door along verena, hearing a crack sound before it opened. she stumbled forward, catching herself on the wall as she looked over at the other "you good?"
daniel "funny," he rolled his eyes. "how about we make ourselves comfortable on some of this old, shitty furniture, yeah?" a smirk then pulled across his lips as daniel began to take a few steps back.
verena was close to falling on her face yet again, but was able to right her footing before that happened. looking at the other, vee nodded. "yeah, im good. are you okay?"
blair "i don't know, when was your last tetanus shot?"
naomi "perfect" she dusted herself off, calling harley only to have her walk in after them. "good girl. hey vee, some light maybe? oh shit that rhymed" naomi laughed to herself "i'm amazing."
daniel "i think before i left for school." he chuckled. "c'mon, lighten up! this is our only time away from everyone else."
blair "fine, fine," she huffed, taking the camera from him. "say hi," she grinned.
verena pet harley as she walked by, turning on her flash light and flashing it in naomi's direction "wow, looks like you have a back up career as a poet."
daniel flashed a toothy grin to the camera. "ladies and gentlemen, i think i'm finally about to get some this week." he teased as he continued to make his way over to the nearest piece of furniture - an old, dusty couch. "i bet you when i sit down, a cloud of dust will appear."
blair "dream big hot stuff," she chuckled, following him. "it's weird being on this side of the camera."
naomi bowed slightly "i'll be here all week." she let her eyes get adjusted to the darkness as she looked around for something. "you find anything over there?"
daniel plopped down on the couch, a cloud of dust rising into the air just as he suggested. "please tell me you got that on film." he then padded his lap, a smirk pulling back onto his lips. "get over here, camera girl."
verena squinted her eyes as she tried to see through the darkness. "no.. not really. give it a minute for our eyes to adjust."
blair "oh, i did," she rolled her eyes. she handed him the camera before straddling his lap.
naomi nodded (not that verena could see her) "do you ever wonder how we got to this point? like... all eight of us turning to the supernatural to make friends? people probably think we're weird as fuck."
daniel took the camera from her hand, immediately setting it down before his own hands found her hips. "now does this seem haunted to you?"
verena snorted out a laugh. "yeah, because we are weird as fuck naomi. we're absolutely nutty to want to got investigate abandoned and haunted locations."
blair "it looks fucking dusty so i wouldn't doubt it," she grinned.
naomi "i know. is this considered a cult?" her eyes finally catch sight of something and she reaches over to see what it is. her hands pat it but she can't see it. "uh vee, some light please?"
daniel "we've been in plenty of dusty places before and they weren't haunted." his shoulders rose into a shrug. "although we've never been in a place with a vibe like this."
blair "true. i definitely don't like the vibe," she shivered.
daniel "but maybe that means we'll get lucky and find something cool. or at least i get lucky within the next couple of minutes." he smirked.
verena flashed the light in naomi's direction. "well, i surely hope we aren't a cult."
blair chuckled. "well i'm hearing a lot of talk and not seeing a lot of action."
naomi laughed before looking down at where her hands were. her jaw dropped and she didn't know what to say, frozen as she stared at the dead body in front of her.
daniel "well excuse me," he mumbled, tightening his grip on her hips and pulling her into him as close as possible.
verena wanted nothing more than to scream and run out of the room, but she was frozen in her place. "naomi, back away from that..."
naomi retracted her hands (which were shaking from fear, disgust and shock) she took a step back and swallowed them lump in her throat "g-get daniel. now."
blair "better," she mumbled against his lips.
verena hurried out of the room, calling out daniel's name as she searched the church. "dan-- oh my god are you two serious right now? ya know what, it doesn't matter. daniel, we found a dead body!"
blair at the words 'dead body,' blair groaned, knowing that was the end of whatever they were doing. "A real dead body?"
daniel "yeah, yeah." he mumbled, pressing his lips against hers only moments before he heard verena calling his name. a long sigh left his lips, "seriously? or are you two messing around?"
naomi stayed glued in her spot, still in shock from having touched up on a dead body.
verena crossed her arms over her chest and narrowed her eyes at the other. "no, i just came sprinting through a creepy ass church to tell you about a fake dead body." rolling her eyes she looked to daniel. "seriously. lets go! naomi is by herself!"
blair let out a huff and climbed off his lap.
daniel stood up from his place on the couch, grabbing the camera before starting off towards the door. "alright, show us the supposed body."
blair followed along behind him, casually dusting off his butt as they walked.
verena gave him a pointed look. "for someone who claims to enjoy this kind of stuff, you sure seem upset about us actually doing our job and finding crazy shit."
blair "that's because you've never had the blessing of seeing me naked," she teased.
verena "i would rather die here in this church than have to see you crusty ass naked blair." leading the two back to the room, vee entered the door way. "you good naomi?"
blair "that could be arranged," blair grumbled.
naomi shook her head "i'm going to throw up." she gagged, finally coming out of her shock state as she pushed pass all three of them and back into the hallway.
verena turned towards daniel, her arm draping over naomi's shoulder only for her to walk out of the room. "daniel, you better get your girl before you have another problem on your hands."
daniel "everyone just relax!" he exclaimed, his stomach had now jumped to his throat at the scene. "so there was nothing else? just a - body?" his voice was about shaky but he did he best to maintain his cool.
blair covered her mouth at the sight of the body before turning around and following naomi out into the hallway.
naomi was leaning against the wall, trying her best not to let all the contents of her stomach come out. she heard someone join her and opened her eyes. "and you guys thought we were joking" before she could say anything else, she saw something at the end of the hall. "b-blair did you see that?"
blair was about to respond when she noticed something move out of the corner of her eye. she thought it was her imagination until naomi brought it up. she quickly grabbed naomi's arm and dragged her back over to the group. "guys, we're not alone," she whispered.
daniel froze, but only for a moment. "alright, we just need to stay calm." he breathed out. "there are four of us. we've just got to stick together."
naomi wiped the tear that had fallen out "i wanna go back. now daniel. get us out of this!"
daniel "fine!" he grunted back, swallowing thickly. "i'll distract whatever it is that's out there and you guys go. i'll catch up."
blair "absolutely not," blair hissed, lacing her fingers in his.
naomi "are you sure?" she asked, looking at him and then at blair.
daniel "i'll be right behind you," he nodded before glancing over to blair, unlacing their hands. "as soon as i go into the hallway - run."
blair shook her head frantically. "no," she grabbed him.
naomi grabbed blair's free hand and pulled on it roughly "blair, please he'll be fine. let's go."
daniel "i'll be right behind you, i promise." he did his best to assure her. "you've got to get out of here."
blair felt her eyes burn as they filled with tears as naomi pulled her away.
naomi felt bad for blair but she knew daniel was more than capable of handling himself. she urged verena to follow and made sure harley was too "we'll go out the back. the motel isn't far."
daniel flashed her a smile, before he started towards the door. "as soon as i'm in the hall – go." he instructed, his heart beating out of his chest. "ready?"
blair fought the urge to break away and grab him but naomi had a grip on her and she could feel harley pushing behind her as if telling her to go.
naomi ran outside with blair, verena and harley, looking around her to see if anyone else was outside. "do you see anyone?" she asks, turning to face blair only to see her tear stained eyes, "blair, listen its gonna be okay." she said urgently but in a soft tone. "let's just go. he's got this and you know he does."
daniel took a breath before darting off, "go!" he called out as he turned and enter the hallway, clashing with the entity that had been watching them.
blair was sobbing now. usually against anyone seeing her cry, she no longer cared. "no, i can't -" she cried out, trying to push her way back into the building.
naomi sighed and chased after her, pulling her back softly. "okay blair, let's say i let you go in there. you get hurt or worse. how do you think he's gonna feel knowing you didn't listen to him?" she tried to reason.
naomi "nothing will so stop thinking like that."
verena "we have to go! daniel will be fine-- you have to believe that!" vee was more than anxious to get out of there and didn't want to leave anyone behind, but would if they wanted to act like a fool.
daniel yelled out in pain, his voice echoing throughout the church. something had struck his leg and an intense pain kicked in. but that didn't stop daniel from fighting off /whoever/ it was he was going against. he did his best to kick them off, scrambling to get out of the church. "go! go!" he screamed as he pushed his way out.
blair "NO!," blair screamed out at the sound of his. she ran toward him when she knew damn well she should be running the other way
verena 's eyes widened as she saw daniel rushing behind them, his jeans stained with blood. ditching the others, she ran over to help him walk, doing her best to bare his weight. "let's get out of here!”
naomi blair and verena were already helping him so she did her best to try to guide them in the right direction.
daniel "i'm fine!" he insisted, his adrenaline rushing from the encounter. "we've gotta go – we've gotta get out of here."
verena keeping up with his stride as well as his weight should have been difficult for her, but with everything that had been going on, she was fast enough and strong enough to help get him out of there. "naomi, do you remember how to get back?"
naomi "yeah, but if we keep along the main street they might see us. do we take the hidden shortcut or not?" she asked, looking back every few seconds to see if they were being followed.
blair was failing miserably at being calm. "how do we know whoever it is doesn't know about a shortcut?"
daniel constantly kept checking behind them, glancing over his shoulder to see if they we're being followed. "take the fastest way!"
naomi "i don't know." she took daniel's orders and turned down an alley, waiting for them to catch up before leading the rest of the way back to the motel.
verena hadn't even thought of anyone getting injured as being a serious possibility, but now that one of them was, her perspective was much much different. "open the door-- hurry up!"
blair as soon as they were in the motel, she opened the door to their room, leading him in carefully.
daniel the full fledge pain of his injury started to kick in and he couldn't help but to wince in pain. "he fucking sliced my leg!" he cried out.
blair "take him into the bathroom," she instructed through tears.
verena helped get daniel to the bathroom. "does anyone have a first aid kit?"
naomi "i do." she went through her bags before finding one and taking it to the bathroom where daniel and verena were. "what happened?" she asked, staring at him.
daniel dropped down onto the toilet, his head falling back as his eyes shut, doing his best to fight through the pain. "i don't know – i kind of just blacked out." he shakily breathed out. "but i had my camera."
verena carefully pushed ripped the denim of his pants, exposing the gnarly gash in his leg. "this is gonna need stitches."
blair came into the bathroom and fell to her knees in front of him, handing him a bottle of whiskey and taking his shoes off. "the pants need to come off," she insisted, opening his pants.
verena pushed herself off the ground, giving blair space. "do you need any help blair?"
blair skillfully pulled his pants off, barely touching the wound. "i need sanitizer first," she mumbled, holding up her semi-bloody hands.
verena rummaged through the kit and retrieved the sterile liquid, placing the bottle in her hands.
naomi walked back into the room, getting his camera and turning it back on before making her way into the bathroom. "who is this?" she asked as she watched the footage he had captured "did you hear him talk or anything? what did he cut you with?"
daniel "naomi – give me a sec, okay?" he breathed heavily, the pain becoming unbearable. "please, just do something!"
blair "vee's right," she nodded a she poured sanitizer on her hands. "you need stitches. i don't have anything to numb it with so i suggest you down that," she motioned to the whiskey, trying to keep it together.
naomi stayed quiet, the sight of his blood making her feel dizzy. "i'll just.. i'll just wait out here."
daniel "you want me to let you stitch my leg up? no way in hell." he shook his head. "i rather cut my fucking leg off."
blair "we're not cutting your fucking leg off, now shut up and drink the whiskey!"
verena "stop being a baby daniel! if we don't do the stitches your leg is gonna get infected and an amputation is a best case scenario!"
blair "naomi," she called out. "grab me one of his belts, please." she turned to verena, "sterelize a needle."
daniel "being a baby? next time you can be the one to get fucking slashed by a psycho." he hissed. "you're not seriously about to do this are you?" he asked, turning his attention to blair.
naomi went to where daniel kept his stuff and grabbed a belt, walking into the bathroom again and setting it beside her. "calm down. she knows what she's doing okay?"
verena did as she was asked and sterilized the needle. "you're are going to have to relax or it's going to be much worse."
daniel took the bottle of whiskey, swiftly bringing it to his lips and downing as much as he could. "just do it." he coughed.
verena handed blair the needle as well as the medical thread used to sew wounds shut. "naomi, bring that video back in here. he's gonna need a distraction!"
blair wrapped the belt above the wound, making it as tight as possible before pulling on the gloves from in the kit. she pulled out gauze, pouring peroxide on it. "this is going to sting, okay?" she wiped the wound as carefully as possible before taking the needle and thread from verena.
naomi shook her head "don't think that's a good idea" she replied nervously, looking away from the needle.
blair threaded the needle carefully. "vee, i'm going to need you to come here and hold his leg up like this, can you do that?"
verena glanced at naomi. "well you can't just stand there!" turning her attention back to blair, she did as instructed, holding his leg as carefully as she could.
blair "and naomi i need-" she took a deep breath. "i need you to sit on his lap."
naomi "woah, wait what?!"
verena looked from blair to daniel and back to blair. "uh... you wanna switch? i took sewing class in high school, how hard can it be?"
blair "thank you but i'm the only one who has experience with stitches." she turned back to naomi. "sit. on. his. lap," she seethed through clenched teeth.
naomi did as blair said, awkwardly sitting on his lap. "i'm so sorry." she told him, trying her best not to bother him or blair.
verena made a face, glad she hadn't had to become a lap dog in order to fix the guys leg. "the lord works in mysterious ways eh naomi?" she knew she shouldn't be joking, but she couldn't help it.
blair "verena, i will punch you."
verena "hey! focus on your boyfriend before he bleeds out!" vee shot naomi a wink before giggling silently.
naomi was in a too much of an awkward position so she just kept her mouth shut as she waited for blair to do it "or for fucks sake blair get it over with!"
blair focused on his leg, sewing it up through his outbursts of pain. she added liquid bandage on top to hold the stitches in and then instructed them to bring daniel over to the bed as she cleaned up. “you guys should probably get some rest,” she mumbled, locking the door behind them before turning off the light and crawling into the bed next to him.

Dead On Arrival [ Part I ] || SQUAD
blair "i still need to fix his leg," blair winced, barely awake, trying to get up.
daniel "don't worry about my leg, we need to worry about you." daniel quietly chuckled shaking his head.
blair "i can-" she grimaced. "i can do it."
naomi "both of you need to rest," naomi stood from her bed, walking over to where daniel and blair were "seriously, you might hurt yourselves even more."
blair "i'm dying anyway, let me at least fix him first."
daniel "don't say that," his words were stern because that was the last thing he wanted to happen. "when are we getting out of here?"
naomi "no you're not," she rolled her eyes and reached over to get the bag that had all their medical supplies in it, "here, take this. both of you." she handed them each some painkillers. "well... as soon as possible but we at least need to make sure you two on our your feet before we go anywhere."
blair "and when we get out of here? then what?" she asked, taking the pill naomi gave her.
micah stepped in during the middle of conversation, holding a makeshift tray of four drinks. "i've got water and vodka for you two," he referenced daniel and blair, "vodka on the left and water on the right. at least, i think." the last statement was a joke, though his expression didn't portray as such.
naomi "then we drive until we come across somewhere that can help us. and i'm not talking about that sketchy town." she looked over at micah as he walked in, "drink the water first. the pill won't wash down nicely with alcohol."
blair did as she was told and tried to get up again. "i can't walk."
damaris "so... if we're just staying here for the time being, should we maybe watch the footage now?" for the first time in a long while, damaris piped up from where she'd been sat, legs drawn up to her chest, "i- i grabbed daniel's camera, before we left. it was still recording."
blair "yeah, sure any distraction," she insisted, making grabby hands for the camera.
naomi "then don't get up." she told blair firmly, urging her to lay back down. "yeah, here hook it up to my laptop. so everyone can see." she walked across the room and started looking through her things until her laptop surfaced. she handed it over to damaris.
daniel stayed quiet, simply taking the pill as instructed and the drink from the tray. he felt so much guilt for getting the group into the situation, he felt as if he needed to think of some kind of lifesaving plan for them all. "you guys can watch the footage, but i'm going to find us away out of here."
damaris swatting blair's hands away- gently, considering she'd almost died and all, but still... very definitely- damaris took the offered laptop from naomi, wasting little time in opening it up and connecting up the camera. as things loaded, she murmured, "knowing our luck, it probably didn't even catch anything... it was probably facing the wall the whole time"
blair "if you can find a way out without using your legs, sure."
naomi "exactly. don't do anything stupid." she told daniel, taking a seat near where the laptop was, "don't think like that. we set the cameras up correctly."
blair "can you put the laptop closer?" she asked, trying to sit up.
micah was silent for the general conversation, having receded back into his typical quietness after the events of the night prior. nonetheless, he pulled out his own laptop as the tape was being set up to replay in order to take notes. he found refuge in organization, opening a new document and dating it from last night. "shout if anything marginally helpful is seen on the fucking tape."
damaris "yeah, here-" readjusting the laptop a little so that blair could see better- she assumed that's what the problem was- damaris' fingers flew across the mousepad and pulled up the footage from the night before without much trouble. when it was open and paused, she looked around, "will i press play?"
daniel "you guys have fun," daniel sighed, pushing himself up from his spot. "how risky do you think it is to get some fresh air?"
blair "sit your ass down!" blair grumbled at him, nodding at damaris, watching carefully. "there were no cameras in the operating room."
naomi "very risky. especially considering where we are and what's been happening. but hey, if you want to die. be my guest," she muttered, "me and bryce set some up a few days ago when we were canvassing. but i doubt they survived that blow to the wall," she referred to the way blair had pinned her, verena and miah up.
micah couldn't resist the sarcastic comment. "you if want to go outside, pull up one of those old windows backgrounds and put on a youtube video of birds chirping."
blair shook her head. "no the room where it got me. it slammed the doors so i pulled out the gun and it broke it in half and flew into my fucking mouth," she shivered at the thought. watching what played out. "i made her say mimi! i knew you'd notice," she grinned at naomi. "not fast enough though," she grumbled.
daniel "we're sitting ducks here!" he exclaimed, his eyes desperately scanning the group. "if we're not proactive, we'll end up like — like cristian." he muttered. "if you want to make the footage useful, we should try to post it."
micah spoke up, "wait, blair, do you remember when it took over you? can we examine her body? notice any changes? any shit like that? for next time."
blair "you guys, you can tell that's not me," she gestured at the screen. "look at that, i don't even show remorse for him," she said pointing at daniel. "i just had a screaming fit because he wanted to be a distraction a few days ago but i don't care that he's unconscious? come on!"
damaris "can examining her body wait until after we've watched this?" she asked, voice distracted. she was thoroughly engrossed in all that was playing out on screen, eyes glued to demon blair.
naomi "micah's right. we should check you for like bruises or scars or something. what if it branded you? there's like no signal here. we can't post it even if we tried."
blair "i'll make you a deal, after we watch this, daniel can check me, okay?" she rolled her eyes, watching intently.
micah "wait i should clarify--check her body in the clip. we'll come across smarter demons, kiddos. ones who know how to play the role, so it may be a decent idea."
blair "my body looks completely normal. except my shirt is ripped." she squinted at the screen. "can you make it louder?"
daniel "wait, you think it's still in her?" he peeked a brow, turning his attention to micah.
damaris "... sounds good. i'll keep watching her-" things were getting pretty good- and damaris was quick to wave her hand and shush them, when things started to go south. "it's as loud as it'll go- it's just muffled. this is when you realized, right?"
micah 's head rolled towards daniel. "oh, fuck no. i'm just looking for any visual, or i guess auditory, cues in the video. a just in case thing, y'know?"
blair stared, mouth agape as the demon threw them at the wall and began to taunt them.
naomi bit her lip as she continued watching, playing with her fingers nervously.
micah desperately hopes the tape will skip. he potential questions the demon's words could raise about each one of them could destroy the group.
micah: *the
damaris "... i don't think whatever demon had blair is the one that killed cristian," damaris murmured, gaze stuck on the screen, focus still on all she was saying even as she shared her observation, "she wanted to eat you guys- cris...- he didn't look... he wasn't... y'know?"
blair watched as it started to go after naomi. "jesus christ."
naomi "probably not," she replied to damaris, eyes widening as she watched herself on the screen. naomi got up quickly, rushing into the bathroom.
blair stared, horrified, and covered her mouth as it climbed onto daniel. she began shaking her head furiously as it started talking about cristian. "that's- that's not true," she teared up, looking at daniel. "you know that's not true, right?" she cried.
damaris "naomi? should we-" she shot a helpless look at the others, finger hovering over the button that'd pause... but not pushing it in, as the demon moved on to daniel. blair and cristian... her eyes, finally, lifted from the screen, and she looked to blair and her boyfriend, dumbstruck.
micah ignored blair's fit, keeping himself grounded in the puzzles he adored so much. thus, he turned towards damaris, softly speaking, "look, focusing on trouble in paradise right now isn't going to keep us fucking alive. i'd bet you ten damn dollars we met rosalie walkins. as for cris...i...i don't know."
damaris "only ten dollars?" she shotback, almost dryly, never once looking his way as she spoke. it was dumb-- it was so, ridiculously dumb, to even let herself entertain whatever it was a demon had said... but all of a sudden, it was all she could think about. "naomi- what it said about you wasn't true, was it?" she raised her voice, looking at blair the whole time, "there's no...- it was lying, right? like it was about cristian and blair?- it was all lies, right?"
blair's eyes flashed over to micah. "i'm sorry, i'm bleeding out so i can say whatever the hell i want to right now and if i want to use my last breaths to make sure my boyfriend knows that this thing is a liar, i will. got it?" she seethed.
daniel turned his attention to blair, nodding. "i know," he mumbled, being sucked into the footage. "do you remember any of it? how it felt?"
naomi took a deep breaths before coming out of the bathroom, leaning against the doorframe as she watched all of them. "i did. i slept with him, okay?" she spoke up, hoping no one heard her, "as for the second thing... i don't know okay. newsflash! there's no pregnancy tests just laying around here!"
damaris "you.... slept... with an old man... psycho killer?" it was almost comical, the way she went from so sure that it was all a load of crap- or at least, willing to believe it was- to shook. there was some truth. did that mean... one thing at a time. one truth at a time. "i- holy shit naomi, have you never heard of condoms?"
micah lifted two fingers to his forehead muttering under his breath, "waste of breath, really." this could all be dealt with later. cristian was dead damn it. ensuring the rest of them lived seemed more important than fixing personal issues.
blair naomi's outburst caused blair's eyes to turn toward her. she already knew naomi had slept with some guy, daniel had told her, but she'd kept it to herself. "we don't know it was a killer, it might've just been the thing messing with her. everything else it said wasn't true." she got quiet for a minute, "i have a pregnancy test in my bag, if you want it?" she mumbled to naomi.
naomi "he's not a psycho killer," at least she didn't think he was, "it doesn't matter anyways" her face turned red as damaris practically laughed at her. "it just happened okay, i know i fucked up!" at blair's words, naomi nodded hesitantly "i— sure."
blair "babe, can you uh- get her the pregnancy test from my bag?"
daniel mouth fell slightly open at the words 'pregancy test', his eyes moving back and forth from naomi and blair. "is there something we need to talk about?" daniel mumbled, moving to grab blair's bag and slide it over to naomi. "you can go through that thing."
blair "i just- like to be prepared," she mumbled. "as for remembering it, i remember saying mimi over and over again in my head to try to get it to say it out loud, and i remember i was crying when it yelled at me but then it was like i blacked out. it must have completely taken over at that point."
naomi awkwardly took the bag from daniel and started to go through it. "i knew something was up the second i heard it. you haven't called me that ever sine... well you know."
blair looked down. "yeah, it was the only thing i could think to do. it was like i was watching a movie through someone else's eyes."
naomi nodded curtly, "yeah..." the whole room felt tense and awkward. "so what happens now?"
damaris "you go do the test, i guess. we'll wait out here."
naomi shook her head, "no way. nope. i refuse."
damaris "you refuse? don't you want to know if you're... if-" she couldn't even say it. lots of stuff had happened, sure, but the subjects of sex and babies still made damaris feel weird, "just go do the test so we can all breathe a little easier."
micah finally spoke up again "n, don't be an idiot. take it. it'll be easier in the long run if we know."
blair swallowed hard and pulled herself up. she was woozy but she made her way to naomi. "come on," she insisted, taking her hand and leading her into the bathroom.
naomi didn't even have a chance to argue when she saw blair coming her way. "woah, easy," she helped steady her, walking into the bathroom. "right just... we'll be out in a second. or... eight minutes according to the package."
blair stood silently waiting for it to be done. when the timer on naomi's phone went off, she perked up.
naomi quit her pacing and looked at blair before grabbing the test and looking at it. "i'm gonna throw up," she ran her free hand through her hair and leaned back up against the wall. "you can't tell anyone, okay? as far as you're concerned—it's negative. please, for me."
blair took the pregnancy test from naomi's hands, tossed it to the floor and stomped on it until it shattered before squatting carefully and throwing the pieces in the toilet. "well that was a waste of time," she grinned slightly, giving naomi a hug.
naomi smiled softly and returned blair's hug before exiting the restroom. "well guys, dodged a bullet there." she tried her best to look positive. "what do we do now?"
damaris "you're not..." she mimed a very pregnant stomach, incapable of actually saying the word.
blair blair was about to redirect the conversation but instead, fell over, becoming unconscious.
micah was admittedly relieved. "ah, damn, and i was ready to put a nursery in our apartment." upon blair falling, he quickly shifted the laptop to the side and stepped over to the scene. "want to stand or does the princess prefer bridal style?"
naomi "no—" she didn't have time to catch blair as she fell over. "jesus christ, we really gotta get her and daniel out of here." she looked up at micah, "get her to the van, now." naomi remembered seeing a very detailed map in the notebook she found and she figured it had some way to get them out of the town safely.
micah after a snarky reply was not instantly received, he chuckled darkly, "well, bridal style it is." he lifted her up as he explained, "naomi, damaris, get daniel. i'll get the van started."
damaris she wasn't nearly satisfied with the answers given in regards to points raised by demon blair- and, still deeply suspicious, she had a lot more she wanted to say- but... blair being unconscious kind of put a spanner in those works. she'd go back to it, eventually, but for now she did as micah said and went to daniel's side, helping him up, "naomi- do you wanna grab the laptop and all? i can handle him."
naomi "yeah i got it." she walked over and grabbed a duffel bag, throwing in as many things as she could before grabbing the laptop. "we gotta drive through the fairgrounds to get out. according to the notebook."
micah moved ahead of the rest of the crew, though not far enough ahead to not hear naomi's words. upon reaching the van, he was rather creative with his elbows in opening the already unlocked doors. he slid blair into the back of the van, buckling her in. when the rest were in close proximity, he called, "do you want to drive again, damaris? if not, i got it."
damaris "the fairgrounds?" literal gulp. that sounded... not so good. helping daniel out, she opened the door and helped him clamber in beside blair - figuring that's where he'd wanna be. "sure, i'll drive-" no point mentioning that keeping herself busy was the only thing keeping her sane at the current moment.
naomi slipped in to the passengers seat "alright. is that everyone?" she asked, looking back to make sure everyone was in the van.
micah climbed into the middle back. "seems damn peachy to me."
damaris "ok- naomi, you're gonna have to give me directions."
naomi "yeah i got it. just.... drive please."
damaris doing as she was told, damaris started up the van, pulling away from the building with no trouble and getting them out on the road before she piped up again, "so, uh... I'm glad you're not pregnant?"
naomi let out a snort, "thanks," she replies, leaning her head against the window. "turn left up here."
