it was merely a coincidence, or rather bad luck that the duchess would find herself in such a precarious predicament at a time when the genovian consulate had decided to go into session. having learned of the many secret passages from someone or another at the gathering the previous night that afternoon when she’d been bored out of her mind she decided to try and find some of those passages. the exploration would take care of her boredom as well as satisfy her curiosity. she’d found several though when she happened upon a room the overlooked the counsel chambers with a meeting in session she became flustered realizing how bad it would look if she was seen eavesdropping. so she’d tried to hurry out of the room only to get her heel caught in a portion of the overlook that had metal designs looking down at the chambers. in trying to get the shoe free her entire foot had gone through now trapped in the metal work design. stuck at an awkward angle on her knees she looked down the narrow corridor wondering if she should risk calling out to someone. seeing the faintest shadow of footsteps approaching she decided to take her chances. “is someone there? i need help!” she called as quietly as she could without her voice carrying down to the chamber below.  //  closed starter @kingedwardl
