"they  always  keep  you  on  your  toes,  don't  they?  i  like  your  mindset  there.  i'd  almost  say  there's  absolutely  no  such  thing  as  being  too  prepared  for  things,"  jade,  too,  liked  to  be  prepared  for  most  things  and  she  also  happened  to  be  good  at  it.  still,  no  shame  in  drawing  inspiration  from  other  people's  experiences  as  well.  "well,  i  am  a  fan  of  literature  and  complex  characters  so  when  you  combine  those  two,  you've  got  my  full  undivided  attention.  —  what  about  you?"

"  i  will  say  that  those  kinds  of  genre's  are  intriguing  to  watch  from  time  to  time.  some  of  my  favorite  series  and  movies  are  usually  from  that  exact  one.  they  definitely  do  show  you  some  do's  and  don'ts.  and  i'm  always  one  to  make  sure  that  i'm  prepared  for  things,  just  incase.  you  can  never  really  be  too  safe,  right?  "  one  thing  about  laila  was  the  simple  fact  that  she  always  was  one  to  make  sure  that  everything  was  taken  care  of  beforehand.  "  oh,  i  could  totally  give  you  one!  it's  just  so  very  necessary  to  make  sure  you  have  everything  you  need  in  one  convenient  place.  "  while  her  bag  may  not  of  looked  that  big,  it  was  certainly  a  big  help  to  her.  "  more  often  than  not,  it  is.  that's  what  i've  come  to  realize.  are  there  any  other  things  you're  a  fan  of?  or  other  shows  and  genre's  that  fall  out  of  the  thriller  and  mystery  settings?  "

"horror,  mysteries,  thrillers,  it's  all  one  big  genre  to  me:  cautionary  tales.  here's  what  idiots  do  so  you  avoid  it.  sometimes  they  get  so  outlandish  but  it's  nice  to  be  prepared  for  even  the  weirdest  scenarios.  even  if  the  statistics  are  something  like  one  in  a  million,  i  would  wanna  be  prepared  for  that  one,"  at  her  words,  jade's  eyes  flickered  towards  the  purse  in  question.  she  found  herself  wondering  how  it  could  possibly  fit  everything  she  needed.  "i'd  like  a  purse  tour  one  day,  see  what  i'm  missing  in  mine."  she  let  out  a  soft  laugh.  "it's  always  the  ones  you  least  expect,  isn't  it?  i  believe  it."

"  you  think?  "  laila  immediately  questioned.  "  do  you  watch  a  lot  of  true  crime  stuff  to  know  this  or  is  it  just  a  guess?  "  the  brunette  knew  that  she  had  to  of  been  joking.  though,  she'd  be  surprised  to  know  that  she  also  came  very  much  prepared  in  dangerous  situations.  "  you'd  be  surprised  to  know  i'm  usually  the  one  who's  always  prepared.  for  anything.  i'm  known  to  have  everything  in  this  thing.  "  she  gestured  to  the  purse  that  she  had  a  tendency  to  carry  around  a  good  majority  of  the  time.  "  i  like  to  think  they'd  be  quite  effective.  i'm way tougher than i look. " she'd playfully joke. " there's  nothing  you  have  to  worry  about  here.  "

"you  know,  that's  exactly  what  someone  would  say  before  their  skills  get  put  to  the  test  and  they  go  running  in  the  other  direction,"  she  smiled  to  let  the  other  know  she  was  only  joking,  nothing  to  be  taken  seriously.  "but  i'm  gonna  trust  your  three  punches  to  get  us  away  if  someone  were  to  see  us  and  attempt  anything.  it's  better  than  my  total  of...  well,  none,  actually i would  probably  end  up  breaking  my  thumb or maybe entirely missing my target."

laila  laughed  at  the  others  expression  for  a  moment  while  she  came  to  take  a  seat  not  too  far  from  her.  the  beach  at  night  was  honestly  one  of  her  favorite  times  of  day  to  be  able  to  come  by  and  visit  it.  it  was  just  the  way  that  the  breeze  hit  and  the  sudden  scent  of  the  salty  ocean  water  air  hitting  you  as  you  could  watch  the  waves  back  and  forth  in  peace.  "  well,  i  guess  it's  a  good  thing  that  i'm  only  here  for  the  beach.  so,  worry  not.  none  of  that  is  about  to  happen  here.  but  if  anyone  were  to  have  that  on  their  mind...  i  like  to  think  i  can  throw  out  a  good  punch  or  two. . . or three. "
