A smile was given towards Piper, clearly grateful to have someone so thoughtful in her life. It was what she needed, she thought. "Okay, okay," hands waved dismissively, trying to push the thoughts aside. Still, Gracie was thankful regardless of what Piper was saying. However, she screwed up. Majorly. A slip of her life had been voiced and now she had to pay the price. How could someone explain it? "I don't know how to explain it.. I mean, I live an.. eccentric life. I'm not from here."
"i promise you ... it's really not necessary. i don't want to be thanked ... you shouldn't be thanked for being a good friend," piper insisted, shaking her head. she was glad she'd met gracie, the woman had been a wonderful friend to her since the day she met her, and piper was appreciative of that. she couldn't just pretend as if she didn't hear all those odd words leaving gracie's mouth, even if it seemed like that was what her friend wanted. "uh ... what? no .... tell me."

"I'll always thank you," she said with a little laugh, not letting go of her friend's hand. Gracie was thankful that she met Piper upon showing up at DC, because she wasn't sure how she'd handle dealing with this on her own. Through the devastation, she simply forgot that Piper wasn't aware of the life that Gracie had come from. "Shit," she mumbled before letting out that sob. "Don't worry about it. —I'm delusional."
"there's no need to thank me, gracie," piper assured the other, sympathetic smile forming on her features. there truly was no reason to thank her for being a good friend in her mind. piper blinked in confusion at gracie's words, most of them sounding completely foreign to her. "i'm sorry ... she's a what?" she asked, perplexed.

A smile was given at the reassurance, as it was greatly appreciated and shown by a mimicked squeeze. "Thank you," Gracie said, that soft grin not fading. "I don't think there's no helping Abigail.. she's a heretic, a vampire. One without emotion." Though, at saying so, there's an exhale of air as if she was trying not to let out a sob.
piper nodded, a hand moving to grab gracie's for a moment to offer her a reassuring squeeze. "it'll be okay, gracie. whatever's going on .... we'll figure out what it is and how to help them."

"No, no. That's not the issue," a sigh as Gracie takes a moment. "I've been worried about them being here, without me, for so long. I know that they're grown but DC isn't all that it seems. And, Abi— my poor girl."
"your children? do you need help finding them or something? maybe i can help you."

"Yeah, yeah— I've been worried about my children, is all."
"what?" piper asked, confused. "is everything okay with you, gracie?"
