John B isn't sure how to respond to that other than with a knowing nod. Putting that much faith in someone always leaves a bitter taste in a mouth when that person shows themselves ; who they truly are.

John B has had enough of it. Hell, even his own father managed to let him down when he was putting Big John on a pedestal. And now he's fatherless. Funny how that turned out, huh?

He sits with his arm around her. They've really been through it, haven't they? Everything that has transpired the past few months have left him in the hospital for a long duration , physical therapy, and some other things. But if it wasn't for her and her dad he'd be in debt , probably still broken physically. This isn't to discredit his family at all. They helped of course, but if it wasn't for Bianca being , well, Bianca, he's not sure where he'd be.

John B leans over and kisses her cheek softly. Some people think what they do about her and he knows. Hell, he thought the same at one point. Now that he knows her...?

He leans his head against hers and takes a moment, kissing the side of her head.

Topper sits silently as he listens to Sarah. Part of him wants to believe her, a big part of him really does. The fact that he loved her and he still does. Despite everything, he's still in love with Sarah.

But the fact is she chose John B over him over and over again. And she used him - used his feelings for her to get him to help her in situations he never wanted to be a part of. But for her he'd do anything and he did ; but at what cost?

" Sarah ... " He shakes his head slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. More than anything he wants to lay into her, tell her off, tell her to go away and never come back around him. It'd be wiser, safer, smarter. But he doesn't do that.

" ... I forgive you. " he says softly. " It's in the past."

Kie looks at Topper and tilts her head. ❝ I wouldn't call you an enemy. ❞ she replies. ❝ Sometimes I just feel like you...try too hard. ❞ To what? Be impressive, to be nice. She's seen his dark side and she knows what he can be and do when provoked. No doubt he's nice otherwise, but why is it an extreme with him either way?

He is a nerd, but truly she likes that about Pope. The fact that he has all of these random facts and this knowledge ...Gina can appreciate it fully. She smile sat him as he speaks on it as he does with the faintest chuckle following in the moment.

" I can't say I blame you for that. They are more dangerous." He speaks of meeting people that should be ghosts and she raises her brow. " Sounds like you lead an exciting life there, Pope.." she says trying to hold back the grin but she's failing. Because she's intrigued.

"Technically, I don't think that ghosts really KNOW what time it is, it's really usually just easier to see or hear them at night because it's more quiet." Pope tells her. "If you believe in that sort of thing. But, if they are, in fact, residual spirits then they can appear at 3 pm or whenever." He continues. God, is he a fucking nerd? Yes. His friends reminds him of this every single day.

"Honestly, it's the living that I'm more afraid of." Especially the living that are going after the same treasure and the ones that have weapons and will do anything for said treasure. "I've had my fair share of meeting people that should be ghosts, though. It happens more than you think, Gina."

She really wanted to help him any way she could, she knew he liked to pretend nothing ever bugged him but she knew him better than she knew herself. While he was trying to hide the many bruises that showed up on his body whenever he left home, she noticed this more often than she said it. "All that I'm saying is that... You're definitely not alone, alright, and if you need anyone to vent with... You don't have to keep everything in the world just to yourself, do you know that?"
