i've been thinking about my muse love languages and it's so interesting to think about. i'm just listing my four main muses here:

nami would be a little more reserved at first at expressing it vocally but very openly expresses love through physical touch; hugging her friends, leaning on them, being around them. i feel like she used to say "i love you" all the time to her mother and sister but after everything with arlong, it just became something difficult to say. so when she does feel comfortable, it's something she would express often. loves the little things of being able to spend time with her friends, talking about books or being allowed to express her interests while the others are doing their own thing. it's a good balance.

artemis is definitely an acts of service/physical touch kind of person. her dad clearly was a piece of sh*t, and while it's obvious her mother and her have a loving relationship, artemis has a lot of abandonment issues. she also grew up in the rougher side of gotham and around assassins, so showing emotion was considered weak. but she tries—she'll buy really thoughtful gifts, is surprisingly good with letters. she loves expressing her emotional connections through things like hugs and other physical acts. but the moment she says i love you, that's her solidifying everything. she never says it. she'd trace it on skin, sign it, but to vocalise it? oh god, she does love you. she trusts you.

misty is a quality time/words of affirmation person. while she loves gift giving and things like that, she likes people to know she's thinking of them and knowing that they think of her. send her a funny photo that made you think of her? yep. go to cerulean city just for a quick visit? yep. she'll surprise you by dropping in to wherever you are, even knowing how dedicated she is to her job, and will delve into your interests even if she isn't interested. read with her, go to the beach with her, train with her, tell her you love her, and she'll express all of that and more to you.

ochako is a little harder to pinpoint because at least to me, she can be considered all of them. she's so thoughtful and sweet, that i do think she would love gift-giving. but she's also the kind of person who loves what can be considered menial things, passing by "i love you"s, tracing of her fingers, simply cooking together, etc. and she has shown grand gestures where she is willing to defend her friends and give passionate speeches about how important they are, so words of affirmation to. she's a mixed goody bag. i think she'd adapt to those around her as well, but as long as she knows it in some way, ochako is happy.

Sandman aparenta ter menos de 30 anos, uma figura que tem a aparência jovial, mas uma experiência milenar.

A sua iluminação lunar aconteceu no dia 9 de março, sol em peixes, lua em virgem.

demirromântico, assexual, solteiro.

desde quando era um cavalheiro estelar, ele possui essa aparência mas era banhado pelas luzes estrelares, carregando um brilho próprio. depois da iluminação da lua e a construção de dreamsand, a sua forma ganhou o brilho dourado da areia do sonho, que só deixa de cobrir o seu corpo quando está com os pés tocando o chão do mundo das histórias ou do mundo real, que parece ser um humano normal.

apesar de ter uma voz imponente e uma presença poderosa, ele escolheu não falar mais para que não precise acordar ninguém, o sono precisa ser sempre preservado.

a comunicação com ele existe através de expressões e formas que surgem no ar com a areia do sonho, fazendo com que a mensagem seja transmitida de uma forma que precise desenhar para que o entendam.

sandman as vezes viaja entre os cosmos para reconstruir o seu reino na terra dos sonhos, está com o castelo pela metade e espera não ser interrompido novamente.

coloca o bem estar do outro na frente do próprio, mas também gosta de ter atenção, pode ser uma criatura um pouco grudenta as vezes, é preciso ter paciência.

seu temperamento muda assim como a lua, mas em todas elas, ele sempre escolhe agir com gentileza, porque é bom ser gentil as vezes.

evita brigas, mas se entra em uma, é difícil de tira-lo.

é curioso, mas também controla bem essa curiosidade para não ser invasivo, também tenta ao máximo controlar seus parceiros para que não sejam pessoas inconvenientes.

possui uma excelente relação com os guardiões, principalmente o papai noel e a fada dos dentes, porque são os únicos que te dão toda a atenção do mundo.

procura entender o que acontece com os perdidos e a sua missão agora é, também, protegê-los, já que ele sabe muito bem o que é cumprir objetivos sem o direito de escolha, procura deixa-los o mais confortáveis possível e tenta, dentro do possível, encontrar soluções para o problema deles.

sandman conhece muito bem o mundo real, já que os guardiões tem contato com ambos os mundos, ele já conhece toda a tecnologia e as novidades daquele lado, para ele não é nenhuma novidade.

se sandman estiver dormindo, por favor, nunca o desperte sem que seja da vontade dele, ou poderá conhecer um lado bastante complicado desse pequeno ser luminoso.

Sun is the first to notice whenever something is off. Nail picking, bouncing your legs, biting your lips. If you pay close enough attention it's easy to spot. Perhaps he spotted it because the male deals with it himself. Therefore, he knew what it was like on a personal level.

Automatically gives you cuddles/hugs. (As long as you're okay with it) he talks to you and listens to what's making you feel anxious. If it's someone in the daycare he'll have Moon kick them out. Don't worry, there will be a ban on them ever coming back. Even if they're a child, Moon doesn't care, hence, Sun doesn't either.

Sun will give you coloring sheets and playdoh to help you calm down. If you want he'll even go inside the playground or ball pit with you. Just watch out, kids have definitely peed in there.

If you wish to be left alone or require something like food, stuffed animals, and a comfort movie he's got that covered too!! There are rooms in the daycare made just for you. Both Sun and Moon made sure it felt nice and cozy for your staying.

Moon is the more protective and verbal of the two. Whenever he sees you upset it hurts him deeply. However, he knows something or someone had to stir up your anxiety. No matter if it's big or small he sees each reason as valid. Your emotions are something important to them both, they always will be.

Said before, Moon won't hesitate to kick someone out. If there older he'll even throw a couple of remarks in before slamming the door in their face. He has no remorse when it comes to people who made you like this. You're a precious soul and he will forever guard you.

If you sleep to help relieve stress Moon’s the best person to go to. He's made a special sleeping space for you. Over time Moons found out your favorite fabrics on pillows and blankets. He constantly double-checks before handing you the items.

Don't be afraid to ask him to read you a book. It might take him a minute to find one but he wants to more than anything. It's comforting for both of you when he reads. As you drift off to sleep he feels accomplished for helping your bad day.

does anyone else get curious about odd things for their muses? like, what is your muses coffee order?

i feel like misty would be an iced coffee or an instant coffee person. she practically lives on instant coffee and water but if she were to treat herself on occasion or went to a barista-run establishment, she’d order an iced coffee or the most ridiculously sweet ice cream malt.

nami is an easy one. anything citrusy, particular that of the mikan or tangerine variety, she is sold. i think she would go for a little sweetness too, maybe a little cream and sugar.

artemis is just straight up black coffee. maybe salted caramel with a bit of milk if she is into mixing up a little, but i’d imagine she’s a black coffee with a bit of milk or a tea kind of person.

uraraka i cannot see as a coffee drinker. but she loves a hot cocoa or tea!

Artemis has shown to be proficient at toxicology, able to concoct her own poisons and recreate her father Sportsmaster's drugs that he uses for certain victims, depending on the bounty request. He had forced his daughters to learn as an aspect of his training regimen, wanting them to be able to carry on the legacy that he had intricately developed over several years.

Her expertise in human biology as well plays a factor in this.

Despite the fact that Artemis is able to create incredibly dangerous poisons to the point where if administered, she will not. She will only use them to temporarily incapacitate people if she has to, which is why she used her father's catatonic drug on Psimon to keep him from invading Kaldur's mind in 2015 while they were both undercover.

+ As a villain/assassin in other verses, she does use poisons in order to complete and collect bounties. After she has hunted down her target, she will use her weapons that have been coated for a quick and easy kill.

Artemis hates the eye contacts that anyone associated with the Justice League wear in order to be in contact with their software and connected systems. Not because she doesn't want to use any of the technology, but she doesn't like anything too close to her eyes.

As an archer, her eyesight is one of her most important sensors. And so, putting anything close to them is always worrying for her. Even makeup, she gets slightly nervous to put it on in case any product goes into her eyes.

Knowing that she has to wear the contacts every time she suits up as Tigress, she has to work herself up to be able to do it. So, due to this, she has begun to put them on as part of her morning routine so she doesn't have to worry if there is an emergency.

The film of the contacts can be drying on her eyes, like any other pair of contacts, and so will carry eyedrops amongst her personal belongings or a secondary pair with her utility belt just in case.

While it's no secret how competitive Artemis can be, some of the things she is competitive about can be considered strange. If some sort of challenge comes across her radar that under normal circumstances wouldn't, she surprisingly will take the bait.

For example, she didn't grow up playing video games but you can bet on a team bonding night, she picked Yoshi and tried her best to try beat all of her teammates at Mario Kart. Or how she didn't really care that much about her grades in high school until she was coaxed into an argument by Dick or Wally but made it her mission to beat them at one of their best subjects.

Artemis views Oliver Queen as a surrogate father.

She considers the entirety of Team Arrow to be an extension of her family, much like she does with The Team, but Oliver is more to her than just ‘Uncle Ollie’. He has does more for her than Crusher ever did for her, Jade or Paula in the amount of time she has known him.

While Oliver probably doesn’t know truly how much he means to Artemis or how highly she values him, Artemis does think of him as a father.

It’s no secret that Artemis is multi-lingual. She grew up speaking English and Vietnamese interchangeably at home and so considers these both to be her first languages. 

Paula tried to instil the importance of her culture and values into her children whereas Crusher was more concerned with training and priming his daughters to continue his legacy. However, Artemis has a natural affinity for language - hence why her major at Stanford is Comparative Literature and she speaks four languages fluently. 

However, there are times she forgets words and will interchangeably speak in English and Vietnamese, especially when she’s particularly emotional or passionate about something. 

She can also speak French and Spanish and is learning Atlantean.

Artemis is an expert at hand-to-hand combat and at weaponry. While she had been trained ferociously by Sportsmaster to be able to handle herself well and use any weapon possibly thrown at her, her skill mostly focused on being the one to take down an opponent with strength rather than using momentum against them.

Upon beginning to train under Green Arrow, Artemis was also taken under the wing of Black Canary who used her mastery of martial arts to help hone Artemis' skills. She is considered to be almost on par with her second mentor and should never be counted out. While she has gained perspective and levelheadedness with this style, she has lost some of the brutality that Shadow-trainees are taught to fight with.

While she is able to go toe-to-toe with Lady Shiva, she no longer holds the same amount of aggression which can be both a blessing and a curse.

It is quite commonly known amongst the vigilante community that Artemis' life growing up wasn't easy. Between her abusive father, her mother in prison and her sister "abandoning" her, she felt like her path to the future was being paved for her. She would eventually have to join the League of Shadows as an assassin under the Great One and would be forced to continue on with the family legacy.

The "training" that Crusher put both of his daughters through was more than learning how to use weapons or become experts in different forms of martial arts. Artemis found herself on more than one occasion dropped in a random location after being drugged by him and was forced to survive for however long he saw fit. She has stolen and hurt people in order to remain alive.

She never quite had the stomach for murder. She has been forced to witness it at least a couple of times - she has attended excursions at her father's side before as a child. But she has never killed anyone herself. She doesn't want to and has never wanted to follow in her father's footsteps. Realistically, her only saving grace was Paula returning home.

Artemis doesn't decide to change her surname from Crock to Nguyen until she begins to complete her Masters. She hadn't worried much about her surname prior to this, for her it was just a name, and she would change it anyway if she were to get married one day.

But as soon as she received her diploma for her undergraduate degree from Stanford, that was when she decided to legally change it. It had been brought up to her before, by Jade, by others who knew her familial background, but she thought also having the different surname to her niece Lian would help remind people that she wasn't Lian's mother.

She chooses to do so after moving to Star City and into Will Harper's home.

Her legal name is now Artemis Lian Nguyen. Her Masters and PHD list her name as such, but her undergraduate currently doesn't. She is attempting to change the listing to have her new legal name on it.

She wants these accomplishments to be solely considered hers as none of this has anything to do with Lawrence Crock.

When Dick first approached Artemis about faking her death in order to go undercover to help Kaldur and expose who The Light's partner was, he initially did not want anyone aside from the three of them to know. However, even though she had agreed to the plan, Artemis refused to even consider it even further unless Wally became aware of the situation.

There was tension between Dick and Artemis for at least a few weeks before her introduction into the mission was made. Their close friends and family certainly noticed it, the two only offering glares or snarky quips when they hung out together. They argued about it constantly, but Dick finally gave in and allowed Artemis to tell Wally.

Wally, of course, was not happy about this idea. This resulted in more fighting amongst the three of them but he was forced to comply as this was Artemis' decision in the end.
