examining  her  failed  boomerang  arrow,  she  was  scratching  at  her  head  into  figuring  out  what  could  possibly  be  wrong…..besides  everything.  “my  focus  is  fine.  the  boomerang  arrow?  clearly  needing  more  work.”  almost  completely  distracted  as  she  moved  the  arrow.  as  if  she  was  trying  to  figure  out  how  to  make  it  more….boomerangy.  so  she  wouldn't  have  to  go  finding  them  all  over  the  city  to  retrieve  them.  so  that  it  would  just  come  back  to  her  during  fights.  without  impaling  her  or  anyone  in  sight  that  is…and  of  course,  kate  was  too  busy  trying  to  figure  out  what  was  wrong  that  the  other's  words  went  over  her  head.

    it was fortunate that Illyana had the wherewithal to see the arrowhead coming before any level of penetration could pose a threat to her body . . . her Soul Sword swinging through the air , the edge of the blade connecting with the projectile and redirecting its course . . . making it land several feet away on the ground .
