i’m probably going to update my rules according to this but uhh  ...     i just did a head count of all the threads which are in my corner right now    ( i’m not even looking at memes in my inbox for this )    and atm i have 13 drafts and 37 things in my queue .   which makes a grand total of 50 replies which are in my corner at this very moment    !         if you expect fast replies and hopscotch interactions this probably isn’t the blog for you .       i do yeet things back and forth rather quickly with certain rp partners      (    u know who you are ,      ilu so much   )       but otherwise  ...    yeah there’s a bit of a wait before replies hit the dash .        i care for every single interaction and i will get to replies in due time     !        but i’m just here to point out that waiting is part of the game at this point and i thank each and every patient one of you for playing along .

NOTES ON HANS!

after his failed takeover of arendelle, he was indeed returned to the southern isles where he spent six months being once again tormented by his siblings

after six months he decided he'd had enough and plotted his escape

he found a country that had no allegiance to the southern isles or arendelle and settled in a small cottage on the edge of a forest

he mostly makes money by gathering lumber, though he also spending time whittling small carvings and selling them as well

he goes by hans oldenborg (irl because i forgot his surname was westergaard and got attached because oldenbord was the surname of a historical danish royal family) because he doesn't want association with the royal house of westergaard

he never actually had permission to attend the coronation in arendelle

as i've said before, he's not exactly sorry about what he tried to do in arendelle, but regrets that he felt that level of desperation and didn't do his whole 'running away to the woods' thing before nearly becoming a murderer

he grew a beard

the thing about hans (or the way i plan on writing him) is that he doesn't REGRET what he did in arendelle. is regrets that, to him, that was his only option. he was desperate, and that doesn't excuse what he did, but when you've been surrounded by a family who tolerates you at best, despises you, it is easy to understand why he would do ANYTHING to get out of that situation. a crown is a comfort, sure, but he was looking for a way out above everything else. and he had been conditioned his whole life to feel like no one would genuinely care for him enough to help him.

he said to anna "if only there was someone out there who loved you" but i guarantee he was quoting what one of his brothers said to him.
