(    ft.    @khozmoh​    )          a  tentative,  exploratory  kiss  between  friends.

it’s  well  late  in  the  night,  but  that’s  normal  for  them.  not  the  first  time  they’ve  pulled  an  all-nighter  together,  yet  again  looking  into  another  unknown  being  threatening  this  godforsaken  town  called  beacon  hills.  the  thing  is,  maddy  is  a  teaser  at  heart.  it’s  in  their  nature,  to  get  the  rise  out  of  somewhere  else.  it’s  about  the  thrill.  but  sometimes  things  take  turns.  sometimes  it  becomes  less  about  the  thrill  and  more  to  see  if  the  other  person  will  rise  to  it.    (  a  voice  deep  inside  calls  it  for  what  it  is.  but  maddy  ignores  it  enough  that  it  becomes  white  noise.  )    the  witch  is  not  sure  when  the  curiosity  began,  when  the  teasing  turned  into  daring.  they’re  also  not  sure  when  cosmo  started  sharing  that  curiosity.  

it  is  not  what  maddy  expected.  different  than  what  they  imagined,  but  not  bad  by  any  means.  the  kiss  is  tentative,  a  lot  softer  than  what  they’re  used  to,  but  they  don’t  mind,  quite  enjoys  it,  in  fact.  once  they  start  to  pull  apart,  maddy  half  expects  some  awkwardness  to  hang  between  them,  so  to  counteract  that,  they  do  what  they  do  best.  they  tease.    ❝  so?  did  I  blow  your  nerdy  little  mind?  ❞

❝  well,  at  least  I  did  something.  ❞    maddy’s  petulant  reply  is  hissed  out  as  they  try  to  keep  up.  looking  back,  there’s  not  much  amiss  to  the  naked  eye,  but  the  witch,  while  not  having  the  supernaturally  keen  eye  to  see  these  things,  can  still  notice  the  imminent  danger  of  a  shit  show  they’re  in.  well,  fuck  her  for  trying  to  help.  ❝  I  thought  it  would  distract  it.  ❞  it  clearly  did  not  work,  if  cosmo’s  desperation  is  anything  to  go  by,  but  dying  by  an  eldritch  horror  might  just  be  the  most  awesome  way  to  go,  so  really,  that’s  still  a  win  on  the  witch’s  book.
