✦— THE PUPPETEER ♟️ | A pawn created to be controlled by the gods above, a loyal piece to be sacrificed for “the greater good”. Although very talented, he is looked down upon by those above him. What happens when this ‘pawn’ grabs at the ropes that bind him to this role?

Matthias Czernin had always been neglected and disregarded as if he was worth nothing his entire life. “Louis” has always taken the spotlight and, even in this wretched manor haunts his every move no matter how many times he tries to abandon him. Fire and ash, he’s watched the puppet's death countless times now. And yet, he always comes back without as much of a scratch on his wooden body.

But then, he gets the chance to meet you, and Matthias doesn’t understand what he’s done to be graced with such a presence. The life he lived before arriving here shouldn’t qualify for this type of privilege. What god had crafted every wrinkle and twitch of your perfect body just to discard you this Alcatraz? It seems he’ll never know, but the Puppeteer will do anything in his power to save you from the wretched forces orchestrating these games. Even if it means getting dirty.

♟️| Matthias Czernin is an introvert at best. He strays away from large crowds and doesn’t start conversations unless needed to. But with you, he finds speaking like second nature. Easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. The Puppeteer likes watching the creases in your eyes appear and the smile you show to him. [He wishes it was only for him.]

↳ It’s not that Matthias couldn’t [communicate], more so he just struggles with the ability to do so. We never get any insight into friends he might’ve had/made, so it’s safe to assume most if not all of his time was devoted to learning the craft of puppetry. Not for his enjoyment, but rather for his fathers as he was seeking acknowledgment and praise from him. [his mother as well, though, it seems Matthias craved it more from his father.]

♟️| Matthias Czernin doesn’t realize why [yet…] he feels this indomitable obligation to keep you entirely to himself. The annoyance he feels when someone comes in between the two of you is unmeasurable to anything he’s ever felt before. So much so that he enjoys keeping a hand on you. It’s almost sweet, whether it be a pinky intertwined with yours or a harsh grip on your wrist.

↳ Either subconsciously or not, Matthias starts to cling to you as if his life depended on it. This tactic seems to work wonderfully for him, as your friends, old and new, start to greatly distance themselves from you. They’re sick of the looming, brooding presence that the Puppeteer gives off, and seemly leave you in the dark about it.

♟️| Matthias Czernin who yearns for your praise above everything else. A puppeteer who’s been controlled with his strings [for his entire life] eventually starts to forget what it means to truly be appreciated. The feeling of want, need, and utter desire sends Matthias spiraling. He needs more, and especially from you.

It’s a quiet, dusk day when it accidentally slips from his mouth. His head in your lap with the two of you alone and away from the world had to be something straight from a rom-com. So when a subtle, yet distinct noise that sounds like a profession of his love is ripped from his throat, he does his best to act like you never heard him. It’s only when you seemingly light up that he starts to think that maybe you reciprocated a bit more than he thought.

The Puppeteer is immediately up and out of your lap, and, from somewhere somehow is filled with the courage to continue where he left off. Yes, he thinks you’re better than everyone here. Yes, he doesn’t care what past actions you’ve committed to land yourself in here, he thinks you’re absolutely perfect. Yes, he would trap you and keep you all to himself if he could. Yes, he loves you. And yes, he absolutely adores you. Albeit, maybe a bit too much.

✦— THE “PRISONER” ♝ | Intelligent, cunning and corrupt, the Bishop is a worthy opponent and is always thinking outside of the box. However, jealousy runs deep through their veins. What’s the next step when they get messy and act on impulse? Breaking their picture-perfect persona in exchange for revealing their true self?

Luca Balsa was destined to be the next big inventor from the get-go. The Balsa prestige was always meant to be written down in history books anyway. So how did he end up here? With the blood of his old mentor on his hands, there’s no erasing what’s already been done.

And yet, a murderer with or without remorse is still just that: a murderer. The stings of electric shock stay as a reminder of the act that has been committed, and the Balsac name that will forever be tarnished. But there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. This time, it’s you.

♝ | Luca Balsa comes face to face with you during your first-ever match. You’re like a baby bird: completely and utterly unaware of the dangers that will soon show their face to you in only the most haunting forms. You’re scared, frightened even. Is this all just a nightmare? Will someone pinch you and bring you back to earth? It isn’t until the “Prisoner” lends you a helping hand that you realize that, no, this isn’t a dream, but a purgatory turned into your new reality. You leave your first match unscathed. At least, physically.

♝ | Luca Balsa isn’t blind to your shaken form, and who could? After a match like that, the tremble in your legs and the quivering in your speech can be excused [especially since it was your first of many!] So, being the kind, “aristocratic” gentleman he is, the “prisoner” lends his arm out to you as an invitation to dinner. You take it, and it’ll probably be the second worst choice you’ve ever in your life up ‘till now. [number one being you coming here, of course.]

↳ It’s almost scary how quickly Luca begins to stick to you. He keeps it concealed from most [including you], but others can see through his facade. They can tell an obsession is forming, and not a healthy one. [to be fair, none of his obsessions are healthy.]

♝ | Luca Balsa who, whenever you’re not looking, sifts through your belongings, keeping little mementos of you when you’ve been stripped away from his side. [It sounds cute at first, but soon you start to notice that some of your items have gone missing.] So far, it seems the “Prisoner” has pilfered a silver bracelet, a shiny stone, and a singular striped sock. You don’t notice it, but the bracelet is on his right arm covered by his black and white sleeve. The stone, in his left pocket [he considers it lucky]. And the sock? Well, um, yeah.

↳ Luca may or may not have been caught coming out of your room before. He plays it off giving an almost actress-worthy performance. He states that he’d “forgotten something and left it in your room.” Most fall for it, but others [more specifically Ganji & Naib] are starting to keep a closer watch on him. Little do they know, Luca may or may not be planning their downfall.

♝ | Luca Balsa who isn’t afraid to pull at the weak strings of your life, to manipulate the events for his desired outcome to be brought to life. And with you, an easy prey and an incredibly naive person makes his job just that much easier. Whether it’s him whispering lies into your ears or sending threats under the [dinner] table, he’s got you wrapped around his finger in no time.

↳ if you haven’t picked up on it yet, this man isn’t above approaching these situations with more serious accusations. He’s already got blood on his hands, what else is new? [don’t ask about the pocket knife he’s started bringing around now.]

♝ | Luca Balsa is anything but the quiet type when it comes to his affection towards you. His undying feelings for you already started strong, and his blabbering mouth won’t shut up about you. It’s beginning to rub others the wrong way.

Luca Balsa is the type to whisk you away [farther than he’s already done before] and to confess his dying feelings for you in a field of meadows, the action beautiful and strange whilst he presents to you a promise ring. The topaz center glistens and gleams in the golden hour, and everything looks straight out of a romance novel. Unless you knew where to look.

A promise to always love and cherish you no matter the wrongdoings you commit [even if he believes you can’t do any] and to hold you so close it would bruise the body he worships oh so dearly. Requests are open according to ask box??? Wonderful, an idea hit me earlier while I was at work. Remember the pokevillian sibling meeting the twins post? What about big brother Cyrus meeting N and/or Guzma?

Me thinks Cyrus would approve of his little sibling dating N. The only hang up is Cyrus would probably worry about N's connection to Team Plasma and how that might affect his lil sib (not that Cyrus can say much). Also, Cyrus would probably be awed/confused by how N could have spent so much of his life angry at world (much like Cyrus has), but managed to remain spirited in a gentle and outwardly kind way. I wonder if Cyrus would tell N about the Rotom he used to be friends with.

That said, Cyrus probably wouldn't like Guzma (at first, it could get better but I don't think they'd be close), as loud, vulgar and destructive as he is. And again, big bro Cyrus would be concerned over his lil sib being with a villian. But Cyrus would learn that Guzma has a similar past to him and his little sib i.e. shitty parents and feeling unloved and inadequet, furthermore, he'd learn Team Skull is just a bunch of kids who have no one else trying to get by. Then Cyrus would respect Guz enough to give his blessing, but their would probably still be some shovel talk.

🟢 Cyrus was not sure how he felt as you spoke about this boyfriend you had met overseas in Unova. Mostly as you had vanished there during his… Certain period with a certain legendary. He understood your reasons as to why. It would be difficult handling the baggage he left you with. It was not that he cared too much as to whom you decided to take up as a partner, so long as there was no abuse of any kind going on in the relationship.

🟢 His visit with you after narrowly escaping custody, thanks to Cynthia believing he deserved a second chance and had learnt from his failed attempt to create his perfect world. Unova held a different air than Sinnoh, he immediately noticed. Busy, modern, towering. Much like Jubilife. You eagerly rushed off the boat in the port to a green-haired man, who stood kneeling and petting a small feline pokemon.

🟢 This must be him. N. Cyrus first wondered what sort of name that was, but it seemed to be apt for how he appeared. Long, wily hair and a strange feeling. Cyrus recalled his face from an article he had read on his trip over. His brow line narrowed. “King of Team Plasma…” the article had unmistakably called him. An organisation so similar yet different from his own, Team Plasma. They were acting as pokemon advocacy group but in actuality had dark intentions. He swallowed.

🟢 N smiled at him with gentle innocence that screamed ignorance of the real world. He froze. You already had yourself nuzzled against his side with a pleased expression. How did he handle this? It felt strange. Nothing malicious or cruel seemed to ruminate from the man. It felt odd for someone in charge of a team that seemed to forcibly separate pokemon and people.

🟢 After he bluntly demanded an explanation, you told him about how N had a rough upbringing, having been left to fend for himself among pokemon in the forest until Ghetsis took him in and raised him to take on the role in his plans for world domination. Cyrus felt a bit taken aback by such a situation, but ultimately understood that N never really had such intentions as he had. The green-haired man looked a bit uncomfortable with the discussion. Cyrus was polite enough to drop it for now, at least until he had a moment alone with you.

🟢 Cyrus finds himself unable to worry about your relationship with N, as he can that he has no bad intents. He only wants to help abused pokemon and find a place for himself in this world. Cyrus almost envies his ability to search in such a manner. There are worries about his connection to Team Plasma and whether or not they may attempt to attack you due to your relationship with him, but he ultimately decides to trust in your ability to handle yourself. Of course, if they did try anything, Cyrus would pull some of his connections to help you.

🟢 Ultimately, he accepts your relationship with N and gives him his mark of approval with a polite handshake. N proceeds to tell him that his Weavile missed him while he was gone, which makes everything more confusing. Cyrus is back to being unsure about this green man, but now wants to about his odd ability. (They have a long talk, and you begin to worry Cyrus is stealing your boyfriend. N manages to drag out how much Cyrus secretly cares for his pokemon, despite how he tries to play apathetic.)

💀Guzma🕶

□ Cyrus had flown out to Alola after his return from the Distortion World and subsequent readjustment and questioning. It felt strange to leave such an oddly dark world and head to somewhere sunny. In fact, the brightness of it all brought on distant feelings in his mind to youthful days in Sunnyshore. He truly did not care for the boyfriend you mentioned, more interested in seeing you in person after so long.

□ The island itself had a feel not that different from his business trips to Johto. He felt curious as he stood around near the restaurant you mentioned to him. A few locals wanted him about some troubled youths that were known for snatching pokemon. He moved to intercept the road when he noticed your approach with a troublesome looking guy.

□ Guzma, he recalled the name you had told him over the phone. Apparently, you met him when you got out of Sinnoh after he… did what he had done. He was someone you instantly connected to, you had claimed. Something about him harkened his mind back to the troubled youths. Bleached white hair with darkened streaks were obvious in his hair, and something about him just screamed problematic. He obviously was a bit stunned at the sight of Cyrus, too.

□ “Hey, man, nice to meet ya',” he held his hand out to Cyrus, but the twenty-seven year old hesitated to take it. The shot a look at him, and he finally moved to shake his hand. He finally questioned the strange amulet that he was wearing, which caused Guzma to chuckle. “Nothing you need to worry about, old man,” he told him. You could obviously tell there was a rising intensity between the two.

□ Cyrus immediately requested to speak with you alone, which you granted. There was little surprise to you when he demanded to know what was up with Guzma. You tried to explain that he may or may not have a group of troubled teens and young adults that hung out in an abandoned town. This, naturally, caused Cyrus to worry about your safety. Team Galactic was orangised and neat, not whatever Team Skull could be considered. Even after explaining their shared experiences of distinct and somewhat cruel parents, Cyrus could only internally panic. This was his fault for committing his actions.

□ The blue-haired man glared at your boyfriend, slightly taller by height and better posture. A heavy intensity ruminated the area. You stood off to the side, watching. It was obvious your organised and “logical” brother would take issue with someone as messy and chaotic as Guzma. The reverse could be established from the Team Skull Boss. Before an intense battle erupted, Cyrus stopped himself and stood stiffly. Team Skull members had rushed over to try to help defend Guzma. The emotionless man noted that they really were just teenagers. An odd thought entered his mind, too. Something about how his admins stood by his side despite everything.

□ In the end, he backs down and accepts your relationship. He had already decided long ago he did not care who you were with as long as they did not seem malicious or dangerous. Guzma just seemed dumb and smug. Annoying, yes, but putting you at risk, he was not. He instead left the bug-type enthusiast with a threat about not involving you in anything harmful. Maybe, one day, you could get them to sit down and speak about their shared traumas, but for now, they would only tear at each other's throats.

You're not sure where this "crush" came from, just that it was the undeniable cause of your flustered state when you met him eye to eye. Whether it be in an intense race to the dungeon or the manor's very own Greenhouse, you've found yourself in the Photographer ever elusive presence. 

He's so kind to you, so gentle that you can forget he's a Hunter altogether. Although, Joseph is starting to become a popular topic for conversation, and not for good reasons. Survivors always knew he was a skilled fencer, but his blade has become sharper. He's harsher with his strokes than before. There is no pity left in his cruel jabs as all sympathy has been ringed out. It seems that you're the only one sparred from this issue. To you though, his blade misses more often than not and seems duller around the edges.

It seems that this was only the start of the Survivor's problems, as more started presenting themselves during matches. Win streaks are broken and more losses take their place in exchange. The Hunters on the other hand rejoice in the continuous win the Photographer brings to the table. Not that he cares though, as all of these were for you. 

The Photographer's reasoning for his newfound win steak has been because of you. Joseph doesn't deem any of those peasants competition as he knows he's better than them. Still, his blood boils with jealousy whenever he notices you chatting with one of them. He hopes that by losing any compassion for the Survivors (and their dreadful situation), he can isolate you from anyone he deems as "unfit" for your attention.

This man will do a lot of things to keep his darling away from the others. Resorting to threats passed underneath the dinner table. The sick little bastard gets off on how their eyes widen with surprise and fear. Some try to fight back, but Joseph is smarter than that.

Threats and violence in the manor only get him so far, and the Photographer starts telling you sick and twisted lies in hopes of isolating you from your peers. They're all so mean to you, he hears them snicker behind the curtains and poke at your name and title. He makes sure to show them a lesson by bleeding them out during the match, which isn't a lie. In turn, his lies become your truth. If the other Survivors weren't distancing themselves from you before, you made sure of it now. 

Joseph confesses to you soon enough, now that you solely rely on him. Why not just become a Hunter at this point? He'd think you'd look lovely with a sword in your hands, you being dead or alive isn't the point. Finally, you're his and his alone. He won't let anyone take or hurt you ever again. 

Which brings you to where you are now. It started innocent, really, but now is not the time for that. These walls can only hold so much noise. Joseph’s hand helps a bit, but the way he meets your hips with his thrusts sends shocks throughout your body. 

“Stay quiet brat, your melodies are for my ears and my ears only,” Joseph whispers in your ear, he’s come so far to have you. No one else should be allowed to hear your beautiful moans. (Or how his name falls from your mouth so perfectly.)
