I suppose it makes sense that skipping my medication yesterday, swallowing barium while trying not to spit it up, and having a nurse press on me with an air-filled paddle to make sure the barium was…exiting properly by making my small intestine to shoo aside and let her see my large intestine would…ya know…do it to make an already always cranky gut sore.

But also. OW.

(I was warned about the barium tasting gross with a gross texture, at least.)

I’m just whining until the gastro office calls me with the results as well so I can ask)#(buuuut the best I can find is that it’s ‘like an obstruction but not an obstruction which are far more serious’ or…something #but like. the tech asked at least once if I’ve ever had surgery there so…be that what you will #(no. no I have not. I do have a gene for one autoimmune disease and this is screening for a second #(and there is something seriously Wrong with the level of pain and blood volume with my periods so…?)#the tech was also super sympathetic about coming in with discomfort turning into much pain from the barium irritating whatever’s wrong #as well as my morning nausea that I’ve had since childhood that nobody gives a shit about #(like. my classmates still tease me about puking every morning brushing my teeth #(tHAT’S how long I’ve been sick in the mornings…)#…hah. I just. want my tendons to stay put so my limbs aren’t wobbly and hands stop hurting and gut to eat food again without pain
