about the pregnancy thing. this implies that f!masae gets periods? which. omfg. can you imagine masae on a PERIOD.
Oh she’d be a terror but honestly she probably never had a period? She was too malnourished before the shinigami academy and learned how to deal with it via medical kidou soon after. There’s is zero chance masa would tolerate bleeding everywhere once a month because old habits die hard. It’s like asking to be tracked down and eaten!
She can get pregnant though, but it sure as hell wouldn’t happen by accident. So. She probably does it on purpose. Just. Baby trapping Aizen without remorse because she thinks it’s funny.
#vrrm vrrm#you've got questions we've got answers#bbp#fem masa is the deadliest masa of all tbh#….she probably abandons the kid with Aizen though#she has no maternal instinct and in fact the kid is lucky she didnt get et#I’ve decided she’s a girl btw#aizens little princess 🥰#does Aizen love her? who knows!#she inspires many complicated emotions. just like her mother.#fem masa au

001-Yugioh 002-Sheith 003-Renji Abarai
I probably should clarified one per ask lol :p
I'm gonna break this off into three separate posts since i have people outside of V/D who are in one of the other two fandoms who have Sheith blacklisted and because line breaks never work for me on an OP from mobile. I'll start with Yu-Gi-Oh (and legit thanks for the variety in fandoms BTW!)
001 | Send me a fandom and I will tell you my:
Favorite character: Seto Kaiba, without a doubt. Even for all the other interests this blog has shifted towards and the volume of VLD content that damn near came close to dethroning it, Seto Kaiba is still my #1 tag.
Like, he's overcome so much and I'm really glad current fandom sees that 1) he's a teenager (the youngest in the group, in fact!) 2) he's a survivor of abandonment even before the adoption and 3) that even though he's not murdering people these days over cards that abuse doesn't just go away and that he's trying.
He's my disaster son, and I live him :)
Least Favorite character: Gozaburo. We know why
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):
Violet/Pup/Kaijou
Prideshipping
Silentshipping (don't @ me over it, I've heard all the howls about it over dialup)
Wishshipping
Buddyshipping
Character I find most attractive: huh. I don't get much into that aspect of the characters for this fandom, but if I had to take a stand, I'd got for Kaiba after his ab game got turned up to 11 in DSOD. NICE 👀
Character I would marry: I thought about this, but tbh that's a blank for me
Character I would be best friends with: Yugi ❤️ cuz he's best friends with everyone!
a random thought: I can never figure out exactly what Pot of Greed does
(😉)
An unpopular opinion: L!ttleKurib0h's bad charicature of Tea went a long way towards fostering the irrational hatred this fandom has of her. There's a whole lot about the guy in general that doesn't sit right, most of which has been lost time time and aren't mine stories to tell, but nowadays most of the ppl who hate her usually came by the Abridged series before actually watching the show and not because she got in the way of their yaoi ship of choice.
My Canon OTP: we have none
My Non-canon OTP: Nakamashipping, which is the name for Yugi/Honda/Jou/Anzu
Most Badass Character: Jou, by a long shot. Somewhere in the depths of this blog was a post on how much of Jou's fighting ability and strength was downplayed or removed in DM and it's a shame he, like Renji, got put in to solely comic relief category.
Most Epic Villain: honestly, are there really any "badass" epic villains in this series? Like, they're either cartoonishly evil like the way early antagonists pre-Duel Monsters or victims of circumstances beyond their control. Yu-Gi-Oh really doesn't have a Sosuke Aizen or a [insert JJBA villain of choice here]. Even the Kaibas' adopted dad was just more crazy and given a few panels in the manga.
Honestly, I've never given that any thought before now. 🤔
Pairing I am not a fan of: Kaiba/Pegasus. I have a hard time thinking Seto is going to push aside him using Mokuba in his plans to revive his wife anytime soon, but it's not a hill I'd die on tbh. Truthfully, it's hard for me to hate ships these days.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Do I have pick just one?
I could pick the usual ones of Honda, Anzu, Ryou Bakura (and I was tempted for the last one)
But honestly, I think the one who gets shafted most is Yugi himself. You know how in OItNB where Piper stopped being the focus by mid season 3 and thank God cuz really? It's like that for Yugi after Duelist Kingdom where he just takes a backseat as Yami/Atem gets all cool story.
And even Shounen Jump shafts hi, too. I think it was a post by @engelchenyugi who pointed out that the Jump Force game identified Atem as Yugi in game play footage. That's just...really bad coming from the official publishers. Yugi Mutou might be the most misunderstood and underrated protagonist in their entire library, and I'm saying this as a Bleach fan who's had to hear how supposedly "boring" Ichigo is because he doesn't fight for an overarching goal.
Favourite Friendship: All of them...? But mostly Joy and Yugi for being soft bois who openly love one another.
Character I most identify with: for all the love I give Kaiba, I'm gonna have to go with Mokuba. Poor kid gets dragged along into his brother's reckless ideas and has to sit back until he comes back into reality. Sounds like the story of my life *sigh*
There's a reason this icon hasn't changed in all the time I've had this blog beyond just laziness
I promise I'll finish that one fic one day
Character I wish I could be: hmmmmm, maybe Honda, cuz his family is probably the only normal one in all of canon, even if they don't question that he disappears for that whole weekend where Duelist Kingdom took place. Hey, look, it's the same canon where Kaiba got a dog collar slapped on his and Joy's mom left him with an alcoholic, Mr. Honda gets some slack here 🤣
That's all for that! And if others want to send more, the meme is here! :)

This is more informal rambling which needs to be gathered together better but it has been made so fuck it: I have been thinking about the fact that Soifon states early on when she's introduced about like. How her main focus in life is duty and how that trumps absolutely everything. Including things like Omaeda's life. Though this is interesting when compared to the other things she mentions more frequently than that. Like duty is obviously very important to her and she does likely believe that to be her main focus in life. But there are three other things that really stand out with her in terms of shit she is focused on that she mentions frequently. The one that she mentions the most I think is "survival". Every single time Soifon has appeared "survival" as a concept has come up. She stresses that she is the only one of her siblings to have survived the Onmitsukido examination process during her flashback. In the Arrancar arc she mentions that saving the world is actually just a pretty sounding pretense, and that what she and everyone else here is fighting for is survival. Her own survival she mentions first. Though she then extends that to "comrades, you, and everyone else". Survival also comes up in her big thing for what the philosophy of Second Division is. Namely the "If your comrade is being attacked, take that as an opportunity. If you cannot even stab the enemy in the back, then just let your comrade die," thing. Which always seems very cold and it is. Since it is weighing the success of a mission above the lives of comrades, seemingly. Though the wording of the statement is important, I think. Specifically the "then let them die" bit. It's not treated as "Let your comrade die and complete the mission instead," but instead as "The mission is important and there is a way to ensure that it is completed and that your comrade survives. Make use of every tool you are given and ruthlessly so." The weirdnesses in this I think is tied to like her second big thing. The second big thing being excellence and skill. This comes up literally every fucking time she shows up. She cares a lot about being skilled and seems to value that above people living. Like during her flashback she mentions that while the deaths of her siblings made her "a little sad" that she mostly felt "ashamed at their incompetence." She took her studying and training very seriously as a kid even before meeting Yoruichi the person. As it is noted by her that like her big example for what she wanted to be during school was based off Yoruichi. She was striving, very specifically, for that level of excellence. It's also notable to me that one of the big Happy Memories for her we see is specifically of Yoruichi setting her aside, praising her for her ability, and adding her to her personal guard. And we see it again in her fight with Yoruichi. She specifically goes on and on about how Yoruichi has surely gotten lazy and fallen out of practice. She brags about how she's brought together the Onmitsukido and Second Division in a way Yoruichi did not. As well as about how her shikai has been perfected and how she has found this super cool new technique that she doesn't even have a name for yet. There is a lot of focus placed upon Soifon getting better and Yoruichi being lazy and incompetent. This is also what a good chunk of her losing is focused about. What gets to her isn't just that she doesn't get why Yoruichi left and is still upset by that. She's also just really not ok with the repeated shows that she hasn't actually progressed as much as she thought she did. She asks Yoruichi how she is able to "keep dominating her as she did before" and when she's having her little temper tantrum breakdown the first thing she mentions is "I'm supposed to be better than you". Like before the trust and abandonment issues that is the first thing to come up. So much of her bitching at Omaeda is specifically related to his being incompetent in some fashion. And she's upset with things like her bankai and having to be saved because they're not reaching her standards or excellence. The third thing she seems to actually value very highly is obviously Yoruichi. Since she describes her feelings about her prior to them even speaking being not just admiration but, specifically, worship. And she compares her to a god. All of her life after Yoruichi leaves is entirely focused on becoming better than Yoruichi based off an idealized image of Yoruichi that is a century old at this point. And once she loses to Yoruichi, she goes right back to idolizing and following Yoruichi without question. Like it is notable that Ichigo, who is key to the defeat of Aizen and was important enough to get Commander General Yamamoto of all people to be less of a bitch, is still considered worthless to her unless Yoruichi is around and approving of his existence. Because she is most definitely someone in the know of how Ichigo is of value to Soul Society. She is part of those meetings at captain level. Even then whatever horseshit Yamamoto has to say or whatever anyone else thinks it means very, very little. What actually matters is "Is Ichigo useful to Yoruichi and is Yoruichi around to confirm he is useful?" She also at no point ever seems to be upset about like the idea that she might have had to leave her family and the letter of her duty behind. The actual upset is specifically Yoruichi leaving and not even telling her why. Oh. Right. The survival thing. It is notable that the Espada she fights is Barrigan who has his big thing about how fear of death is absolute and how death by aging is absolute. And that does get to Soifon quite a bit. Enough to get her panicking and telling Omaeda to run away. And in the end it's revealed that Barrigan is the one who is most terrified of death by growing old. But like it is very standout to me that like the one she ends up fighting is the one who is most focused around the fear of death. They're all death centered, but like he is the one who monologues about how all life is scared of dying. And this all tied up together suggests like two things to me. The first being that Soifon's idea of duty and where it lies is not actually focused on like her position in her family, the Gotei 13, etc. She will say that it is, but where duty actually lies for her is Yoruichi above all else. Had Yoruichi told her she was leaving she might bitch because she hates Urahara for being "lazy" (again, she is confirmed with worthiness and competency and he reads as the opposite of both to her) but like she'd probably go along with it if Yoruichi told her to. The other is that Soifon is like deeply fucking terrified of death. She won't say that. She never actually says it from what I can tell. But she does seem to have a greater deal of fear of death than like a good chunk of the cast. Which makes sense given how expendable people in her family are. The other more fancy noble houses don't really seem to have like nearly as many kids as the Feng family does. She has like the most amount of siblings in a noble house that we see and five of them die and that is just kind of treated as a given. Since they're being forced to pass an exam process that is noted as being particularly ruthless at exceptionally young ages. With failure to do so at the appropriate age being met with being tossed out of the family entirely. A final thing about Barrigan is that his specific form of death is one that competence can’t beat. No amount of skill will protect you from aging and dying. You grow old and then you fucking die. Which does seem to throw Soifon off until she stops and realizes that his bullshit can be counteracted via skill and cold hard not giving a fuck. Cut my arm off, Omaeda. DO IT. AND I WILL SHOOT THIS BITCH.
