TMNT Chicago Style Iteration Ask Game

DAY 6 - Mikey

Mikey is the youngest of the group and is a spotted turtle! He's maybe a little behind his brothers at times because of their age difference, but that mostly ceases to be an issue in their later teen years. Also an ADHD legend.

Mikey is the jack of all trades of the group. Kind of hand in hand with the ADHD and always feeling like he had to catch up to his brothers, Mikey has a bazillion hobbies. He'll give anything a try at least once and after a while, he just has so many skills that they all play into each other and help him learn more new skills. Stuff tends to come to him pretty easily, which isn't to say that he doesn't ever try (cause him always wanting to try extra hard is why he's like this in the first place), but just that he's built himself such a good basis he can be really adaptive towards anything new.

His family is really encouraging in regards to his hobbies and interests and is often a little amused by them (lots of good natured comments like "of course you mastered [x], what thing are you trying now" or "wow that's the third thing you've picked up this week", etc). If there's ever a random weird skill set they need, chances are Mikey can do it, even if he may have to remind them that it is in fact something he can do.

This quality of his however is something that really introduces tension between him and Donnie once the family starts really getting into mystics. Mikey's pretty naturally gifted at magic to begin with, but once given a little bit of direction he picks up the practical applications and spellcasting incredibly quick, something that annoys Donnie to no end as he really had to struggle through understanding mysticism and still finds certain aspects difficult. In his eyes, his little brother just came in and instantly got it, and that lingering jealousy combined with some other key differences in their mystic-related world views makes things strained between them for a while. They're nowhere near as bad as Raph and Leo of course, but still, the only time they'll ever present a united front during this period is when they're telling off Raph and Leo for trying to give them conflict advice.

Speaking of other brothers, Mikey is probably closest with Raph. It started when they were younger; the twins would always run off to do stuff together, so the two of them got used to doing things together too. Raph really occupied that "cool older brother" spot for him and included him as much as he could in activities. The age difference was a little more pronounced as kids, and Mikey probably got involved in or saw things that maybe he shouldn't have so young, but he mostly turned out fine. All of this is to say, the two of them share interests and activities all the time, and Mikey really looks up to Raph.

That last little bit unfortunately gets weaponized by Leo when he's criticizing Raph for not being a good role model, though he's usually the one to not baby Mikey at all outside of that. Those months where Raph is missing, Mikey barely processes them at all cause so much of his life revolves around the little things they shared together and he kinda doesn't know what to do with himself in the absence of that. He also takes the aftermath at the farmhouse the hardest, watching Raph act like a ghost while Leo's in a coma. His loss of innocence there reflects the beginning of the end of their childhood.

Mikey's journey overall is intrinsically tied to the turtles' coming of age, story-wise, and the third arc really makes use of that. That's their space arc, when the full wide world of the universe truly opens up to them, and the focusing being on Mikey for the arc is no coincidence. His openness and willingness to make friends is essential for them to gather allies against the krang, and the group's development is marked by how he learns advocacy for himself and others, which represents the way they finally come into themselves and begin to shake off all the forces seeking to control them. The friendships he spearheads with Leatherhead, Renet, and Traximus become absolutely crucial here.

For me, it felt like Steve had a critical lack of healthy, male friendship in his life. Him and Dustin are close and he adores him (and Dustin thinks he is super cool) but the dynamic is slightly off because Dustin is much younger than Steve. They have a big brother/little brother relationship with all its arguing and frustration wrapped around love that a lot of sibling relationships have and they both are only children. They don't have siblings and let's face it, it sounds like Steve's dad is rather absent (my personal HC is that Steve's mom is a wino alcoholic, but she's kinda got the big sads and not the aggression. So Steve was pushed into a caregiver role for her at a young age. Loves his mom dearly, but is sort of the 'sudo-man of the house' for her since his Dad is MAI a lot. She was/is a trophy wife and she's getting older so the 'value' that has been assigned to her is disappearing. She has a lot of healing to do, but is very in love with Steve's dad even though he's a bad guy). So both Steve and Dustin have this scene of being "their mother's caregivers" in one way or another and are only kids so to provide a relationship for one another in a brother-brother way is massive!

Anyways, Eddie adopted every weird/feral/eccentric/ nerd he can find because he wishes he had that as a younger kid/teen. And Dustin is this incredibly rare breed where he does get bullied but he is also wildly confident. And I think that confidence is do in part because of his relationship with Steve. Steve and Dustin both give each other a different kind of confidence. So for Eddie to see a kid that by all accounts should be fearful like every other nerd he meets, Dustin isn't that, so Eddie's usual tact of "making the baby nerds confident" isn't required so they just become pals! I don't really see Steve and Eddie being jealous of one another, but they are both providing very different experiences/benefits to Dustin (and the other nerds too), so it's almost like... sussing each other out to make sure that the other's intentions with "their nerds" are genuine and good.

I think that quickly falters because Eddie is given extreme, blatant evidence that Steve is a good guy and will do anything for these kids once they get into the Upside Down. That's why they fall so easily into bickering about Dustin, almost like 2 moms picking their toddler up from Daycare ("oh does he do this?" "Yes, mine too").

SO, shipping them became so GD easy for me. Not only are they a fun trope of Prep x Nerd/Rebel, they're also both bitches 😂 like, the level of pettiness both these boys have for anyone and everything creates such a rich dynamic. Doubly so when you look harder at them both and how they've both had a critical lack of love and affection on their lives (providing for others instead of themselves. Whether that is taking a nerd under their wing or having to be responsible at home taking care of a parent, paying bills, or otherwise. Wayne is great, but Eddie def had to grow up quick to help handle stuff around the trailer). Plus, I genuinely think they fit together well. They fill in each other's gaps in a lot of ways.

Steve is more practical, responsible and organized with a lot of things (not to an extreme, but he was in the Key Club in cannon which is all about volunteering around your community and entrepreneurship so Steve for sure knows how to open a bank account and how to do his taxes lol) plus he's getting more mature as he befriends Robin and does more adult things. Eddie is creative and thinks outside the box which pushes Steve to be less conservative while Steve provides a good foundation for Eddie's obvious ADHD to bounce off of.

Then i was like Oh! Both these boys just want Dustin to be their bestie. THEN the 'dontcha big boy' scene happened and I was like. I ship it. I want these boys to realize they can both have Dustin in their lives and also each other.

Astrals, also known as star children are born from two places which indicates the type of Astral, type number one "basic Astrals" are born from falling stars- aka a hyper nova happens and a little ball is just shot out at light speeds- and the other "world eater Astrals" are born when the universe itself makes a wish. Both types of Astrals keep untold power within, however world eaters are much more divine in nature as basic astrals are more suited for lesser scale protection of the universe. World eaters often play very big roles in their universe which is why they're so rare.

Basic Astrals accumulate power over time, their main function is to become warriors that fight off threats- Galacta Knight is old as fuck and can destroy planets without a sweat, Meta Knight on the other hand is much much younger, but still very powerful. I'd say young adult in Astral years (which is infinite because they are immortal- but can be killed by means other than age).

World Eater Astrals are born with untold power- often seen as the embodiments of certain concepts like say... Death. Or friendship! Either way! They gain power from other living things, sort of absorbing them to use their power to fuel themselves, which explains Kirby's ungodly apatite! When they reach a certain age they begin to look different from a basic Astral, so for the first few millennia of their lives they often look identical to a basic astral and you could only really tell the difference by seeing their power. Ancient world eaters can change shape entierly! Morpho, Kirby and possibly Void are world eaters!

Now, they are a very very rare species. Basics are very hard to come by themselves- world eaters are even more rare and thus more feared. But! How do these little round beasts age? What are their characteristics?

All Astrals start out as little round balls, no limbs, only a face, eyes with what looks like galaxies in them. When the limbs have formed they're about the age of a young child and will gravitate to the nearest planet to begin their life properly, often crashing down like meteors or "shooting stars". They're incredibly malleable and squishy. You pet one and it feels like if a peach and a balloon had a baby. They're curious, hungry little things. They need to eat a LOT to help with building their power supply (or maintaining it).

Then they grow into older children-teens, where small wings start to form on their backs, during this stage other appendages like horns or antenna or antlers may begin forming as well- though it's very rare. This stage is where they begin losing their hover ability to slowly adjust to a more reliable and fast flight.

When they've matured enough they'll have grown larger- not too much larger mind you! But they will also have paws now to better hold weapons, and their wings will have finally come in. Also Astrals eyes become brighter and start glowing the older they get, so by this stage they are a pure color (but still have stars in them if you look close enough) and will glow. Also, speaking of wings, they come in all shapes and sizes, bat wings, bug wings, bird wings, star shaped sparkler wings you name it they can have it!

BASICALLY it goes from: float->hover->fly

It's a custom of Astrals to don a mask or helm of some kind when they've reached full maturity, as it's... Kinda hard to take a lil cutie pie seriously unless they cover that cutie pie face up! Some Astrals are more anxious about their faces though. Looking at you Meta Knight.

IT'S PRIDE MONTH

Time to officially confirm some AU canon LGBT stuff! Each character is their own pride flag but I'll add in other stuff that's canon in universe plus some bonus stuff at the bottom.

First up is Freddy Fazbear Jr! Gay all the way.

He's definitely the "move I'm gay" type

Was honestly super freaked out to tell his dad but went with the bold approach of bringing home his first boyfriend and blatantly announcing their relationship as such as a challenge and was honestly surprised his dad wasn't bothered by it

He was around 13 at the time and so the twins and Fred were still in touch with Maddie's parents and brother. All three were incredibly supportive (and still would be)

He absolutely had a crush on Bonnie Burnette even though he had never talked to him. Since the twins and Bonnie went to the same high school he knew of Bonnie, thought he was a dreamboat, but because Bonnie was somehow in with the popular kids (it was the money 100%) Freddy didn't even bother

Honestly doesn't even know he's ace until much later

He's had crushes before but he's never been in a relationship (part of it is the attempt to communicate since he's mute sort of stops him)

Only Maddie even knew he was bi. That he knew of. Some people probably figured it out with his over the top always on personality.

Fred was constantly sure that Pierce picked up on it particularly after the Christmas mistletoe fiasco but if Pierce gave a shit he never said anything.

Frankly it was amazing that more people didn't pick up on it. He was over the top about everything until a point.

While he didn't overreact to his son very blatantly announcing he had a boyfriend, he was very proud of him. It was a very Fazbear family way to come out. Even though he got so distant, he was always proud of his boys.

Bonnie Burnette! Also bi!

Being constantly surrounded by the popular crowd and always being the sort of stand out with purple hair and stupid purple bunny ears didn't do much to make Bonnie feel like he could even tell anyone he was bi.

Really the only reason he was even in the popular crowd was he was rich.

It made him less of a target for bullies at least cause the jocks wouldn't stand for anyone messing with him.

Knew Frankie from math class and honestly wished he could have talked to the quiet kid with bear ears as an alternative to the entirety of the popular group

Sort of in the background of the AU story very quietly develops a crush on Freddy and then thinks "oh God I like the troublemaker NO"

Chandler Cicily! Lesbian!

Would absolutely describe her sexuality as "girls"

She's starting to discover it during the AU (even if it's not a topic that comes up but that's why there's this post about stuff lmao).

She's the baby of the group since she's 16 when the story starts and relationships aren't important to her yet

But the crew still support her when later she's like "maybe I just wanna bake things for a cute girl and let her put flowers in my hair is that too much to ask" (Marian always chimes in with "mood")

Listen, her one goal in life may be to find her lost childhood friend, but that doesn't mean she's solely interested in this one Irish redhead

That said she's definitely only dated redheads

She's not afraid to be open about her orientation. It doesn't bother her. She's seen as weird already what can it hurt.

That said she falls for Finn so goddamn fast when she finds him that she questions herself and then is like "no wait I'm definitely not straight"

She's very upfront with Finn about it. There's no reason to hide this from him (or anyone) and if they're a thing she wants him to know.

Finn being the wonderful human being still loves her and it doesn't bother him. Why should it? He's just happy to be with someone who loves him.

Chetana might be Chandler's fake big sister but Marian is like fake mama when it comes to Chandler finally coming out.

First off he absolutely knew that Fred wasn't 100% straight he had no idea how it wasn't immediately obvious to everyone

That said Pierce literally did not give a shit who knew about his sexuality

As shitty as his whole personality was he could turn on the charm easily

His parents definitely knew but he was already a punk ass rebellious teen at the time so they have him the "be careful, don't get anyone pregnant" talk and worried from afar. If it bothered them, Pierce never knew because they made sure that he could still count on them (even though at the time Pierce didn't really talk to them much about anything)

Fred absolutely knew though I mean they were good friends

He's not a romantic. He's never really had a meaningful relationship because he's not that type of person. To be honest, there's a piece of him that saw relationships that worked and wondered how that would feel but he knew that wasn't for him. He figured that out way early on when he asked his granddad why he didn't have a grandma and Mortimer Graves didn't sugarcoat the answer. "She wasn't happy with me. I gave her the choice. She could stay and be miserable with my lack of a decent personality even though I was already struggling to not be such an ass or she could go and find someone who actually made her happy. She chose happiness, and while it sucks that she drifted out of my life and your dad's, she's better off."

Pierce could frankly always tell that he was more like his granddad and as much as he sometimes wanted to know if he could even out up with a meaningful relationship, he avoided it. Better to not hurt anyone and wonder than to become the catalyst for someone else to overcome, right?

Fritz Smith! Gay!

The shy bumbling mechanic of the early 90s Freddy's ? Gay? It's more likely than you think

He was still far in the closet in the 90s He was young, living at home still because he had just gotten out of school, and while his parents weren't super conservative, he also didn't know how they'd take it

Found a friend in the day guard Mike Schmidt early on. Mike was looking for a roommate since his last one had moved out and Fritz jumped at the chance

They are like totally boyfriends by the time they cameo in the story though

Mostly invited Fritz to live at his apartment because he felt bad that this poor shy mechanic was getting constantly harangued about the animatronics having problems

Was glad to let Fritz complain about it and even cry it was very stressful but Fritz needed the money

Mike liked him. It would be hard not to really. Fritz was a sweetheart.

Mike didn't ask him out till much later though he wasn't quite sure that Fritz was gay and didn't want to ruin their friendship.

Luckily it didn't and as it turns out they worked well in a relationship.

Fritz's parents had to take some time to get used to it when finally Fritz got the nerve to tell them but as soon as they did there was no end of support from them

Mike's parents were the opposite which was mainly why he already lived by himself but oh well he got a cute boyfriend and cool parents-in-law later it was kind of a win

outside universe fact, he's loosely based in my actual cousin who lives in California with his husband.

He's 7 years older than Maddie was. Despite that, they were still close. Maddie's parents wanted more kids but struggled to get the two they had.

He's an accountant for a corporation and his boyfriend (and later his husband) is a pilot.

Last time he saw his nephews in person was at Maddie's funeral. He misses them terribly but over the years less and less contact came from his brother in law

Sometime in 2006 though he ends up getting a call from his nephews and there's this great reunion.

He's just. This chill older guy. Who loves his family. And doesn't care what people think.

-as mentioned last night Dr. Phillip Guy is on the ace spectrum. I don't have anymore details about that at the moment unfortunately.

-Charlie Emily is a lesbian. The Emily twins were born in 1980. They haven't appeared in the AU yet even as cameos but they exist. Considering in AU canon the Emily family is alive and well in Hurricane, Utah without an Afton to be found, Charlie's dating her childhood friend Jessica at around the time the AU events are happening.

-Sammy Emily is trans and bi. Both Henry and his wife (who I know I at one point named but don't remember what it is anymore) love their two daughters to pieces.

That said I'll make a post at a later point introducing the Emily family because so far I've only officially given the design for Henry and not the rest.

In line with canon, Spring Bonnie/Springtrap can be counted as gay.

While Fred kept the shows at the diner pretty simple and straightforward, there was definitely this subtle underlying idea that Spring Bonnie and Fredbear were a content gay couple although if asked it was easy to present them as friends. At least, that was during '81-'82

However!

Fred also had Henry help him program in a special one time only song called Springtime for his and Maddie's anniversary in 1983, which was of course a love song. Fred always thought of that as being mostly for his wife, and partially as a turning point thematically for the two characters.

Henry was on board with this. They still kept it subtle, but there were clear moments where it was pretty much certain that the only way to interpret Spring Bonnie and Fredbear was as a couple. It was either so subtle that no one was bothered or Spring Bonnie's chosen voice was so ambiguously non-binary that no one thought it was odd.

Fred had plans for it to become more "canon" but never got to implement them since Spring Bonnie got damaged before he could.

Springtrap, being sentient and able to later interpret his emotions, is very confused about how he as a machine was meant to feel about this character he knew but the more sentient he becomes the more aware he is that he misses Fredbear and that he loved him. It's the cause of a lot of internal conflict for him. But he can be counted in the category of LGBT characters in the AU.

Am I Doing This Right?

It's been a little while since I blogged. I just didn't have the time, working on finishing my certification, kids, work, life. I felt a bit like I had a mental block or fog too. There was definitely a shift happening in my world. Couldn't really put a finger on it...but the fog started making sense recently. I am a mama to three girls. A young adult, a tween and a young child. My world is filled with their ups and downs, their transitions, their challenges...and right now, during these ages, it's a lot of transitions and growth. My oldest is about to graduate University, thinking about where they'll live, where she'll get hired as an RN. Where, benefits both of them, her and her fiance. So in the back of my mind, I'm thinking of places, I'm thinking of the move, how far away, the changes coming, picturing places they'll rent or maybe buy, imagining their future. A backyard maybe? All good positive, next steps of life thoughts....will we see them at Christmas? What kind of shifts will she have? All while also thinking of their wedding. Budgeting. Planning. Catering. Maybe that’s just my over excited thoughts? I am excited! My daughter is getting married and starting a career as a nurse. It makes the moments I felt like a complete failure as a mother, feel like an eternity ago, and so meaningless now.

So that's just one kiddo who's life is on my mind. My tween, well, she's only ten, but I'm starting to see a glimmer of a tweenager. I've really been paying close attention to her mood swings. Her frustrations, her attitude shifts. For awhile, I was so stressed about it, she was just easily irritated, easily frustrated, more emotional than normal, and the mother, Sherlock Holmes in me, was struggling to figure out what was going on. Well, I figured it out. It was her tablet. Now know this, I am not a person who judges, I don't care how much time other people's children spend on tablets, or what you use them for, these opinions are strictly my own, and behaviour I personally noticed in my own child.

She was on it for maybe an hour or so a day...sometimes not at all...I thought, meh, she's just watching craft videos, funny videos, but then we started noticing the attitude, the withdraw. I would notice her go from completely entranced by the screen, to pissed off at the world when she was told to put it away. Ok. I see what's happening here. So, we had a family meeting, and we eliminated tablets Monday to Friday. They're allowed to have them on Friday evenings, Saturdays on our hour long sport commute, and Sundays for an hour in the morning. I started looking at what they were watching. Kids doing stupid things. Kids lip syncing. 5 minute crafts was featuring how to turn your t shirt into a belly shirt. Or how to plump up your lips by sticking them in a plastic container??! Why are my children so interested in this. So I felt a bit like I wasn't doing my job as a parent, allowing them to watch these things. The headline 5 minute crafts. It just HAS to sneak in that useless garbage for our kids. Frustrating. I also took a look at myself. How much screen time I have. How I hear my kids say, "mom, you didn't hear me because you were on your phone", you’re right, and point taken.

We made changes. We’re back to seeing our kids actually make the crafts they watched now that the tablets are put away during the week. We’re usually on an adventure on the weekends so if there’s down time, they go on. They're back to being active and busy, and creative and the attitude has improved immensely. There's still days I'm pulling my hair out because I get "the tone" that puts us moms over the edge. Or stomping. Or fighting...I think for the most part, for having a four year age gap, they get along incredibly well. I remind myself, my middle daughter is entering some scary territory with hormones and puberty and boys, and mean girls, and body image....I remind myself that I have a really big job ahead, and it's gonna be hard. It's gonna be emotionally, physically, and mentally challenging. I've raised one teenage girl. Two more to go. We got this. And in the meantime we’ll continue to embrace the innocence ❤️

My girls are growing up in a different society. Even one that is different from when my oldest was a teen. And that wasn’t that long ago...5 years. One I'm still learning how to navigate. What is right. What is wrong. What age is right for this or that? It seems so much harder than simpler times when we were growing up. Although I'm sure mama's of the past would disagree. It was probably just as hard, just a different world. Different challenges. Different ways to deal, but parenting is universal. Teach, help, protect, guide, comfort, observe, learn, none of that has changed..

My littlest is learning to be more independent. She's letting go of me bit by bit, but still just as cautious as always. She still wants to be picked up for hugs, which thankfully, I can still pick up 44 pounds..mind you, being the last baby, I'll probably still pick her up at 74 pounds. She is very much my shadow, and places another challenge on me, making sure I'm giving the same amount of time and attention to my ten year old. AND my twenty two year old. I'm just hanging on tight as long as I can. They’re growing up so fast, and wanting less and less of me. I know. This is good. This means you're doing your job as a good mom and raising independent kids. Still doesn't take away the desire to spend every minute with them before they say "bye mom" *gulp*

The greatest joy for me is watching them through these stages and phases. Even though it's hard sometimes, it's draining, it's also rewarding, and makes me so proud. But it can be terrifying. Hoping I'm doing what's best for them. Always. Everyday. But then feeling guilty when I want space from them. Doesn't that suck! You’re at the point of exhaustion, ready to tear everyone's head off in the house, give yourself a break, and feel bad about it.

I shake my head.

No matter what though, self care is crucial.

So on top of my mind being fully occupied by my children's lives, I also need room in there for my work, for my marriage, for my friendships, most importantly for my health and well being.

To be a fly in the brain of a modern day woman. It would be incredibly fascinating! Like a room full of computers, buzzing madly, spitting out information every second of every day....and then re inputting it back into the computer to re analyze it, go over it, and spit it back out!

I have to remember to try and quiet my mind though. Stay on top of my mental health with breaks. Me time. Quiet. Running. Yoga. Coffee Dates. Massages. Facials. Reading. Uninterrupted conversations with my husband. Date nights. It's part of being a good mom, wife, friend, teacher, running on a full cup, not an empty cup. Sometimes we need a reminder though. "Hey, you know that life cup...it's about to spill" Don't you wish there was a little alarm in our brains that beeped when it was time to reboot. Instead, our reminders come in a form of illness, breakdowns, or our inner Cruella Deville's emerge.

I'm doing my best to stay on top of life’s balance. Sometimes I fail miserably. Sometimes I'm the healthiest, happiest human being, living my best life! I love my life. And I love being a writer, so I can feel like a normal mom, a normal woman, in a hurry up, noisy, busy world ❤️

more coherent Kirby species lore post than my last one, headcannons gotta be dropped my fellas

Astrals, also known as star children are born from two places which indicates the type of Astral, type number one "basic Astrals" are born from falling stars- aka a hyper nova happens and a little ball is just shot out at light speeds- and the other "world eater Astrals" are born when the universe itself makes a wish. Both types of Astrals keep untold power within, however world eaters are much more divine in nature as basic astrals are more suited for lesser scale protection of the universe. World eaters often play very big roles in their universe which is why they're so rare.

Basic Astrals accumulate power over time, their main function is to become warriors that fight off threats- Galacta Knight is old as fuck and can destroy planets without a sweat, Meta Knight on the other hand is much much younger, but still very powerful. I'd say young adult in Astral years (which is infinite because they are immortal- but can be killed by means other than age).

World Eater Astrals are born with untold power- often seen as the embodiments of certain concepts like say... Death. Or friendship! Either way! They gain power from other living things, sort of absorbing them to use their power to fuel themselves, which explains Kirby's ungodly apatite! When they reach a certain age they begin to look different from a basic Astral, so for the first few millennia of their lives they often look identical to a basic astral and you could only really tell the difference by seeing their power. Ancient world eaters can change shape entierly! Morpho, Kirby and possibly Void are world eaters!

Now, they are a very very rare species. Basics are very hard to come by themselves- world eaters are even more rare and thus more feared. But! How do these little round beasts age? What are their characteristics?

All Astrals start out as little round balls, no limbs, only a face, eyes with what looks like galaxies in them. When the limbs have formed they're about the age of a young child and will gravitate to the nearest planet to begin their life properly, often crashing down like meteors or "shooting stars". They're incredibly malleable and squishy. You pet one and it feels like if a peach and a balloon had a baby. They're curious, hungry little things. They need to eat a LOT to help with building their power supply (or maintaining it).

Then they grow into older children-teens, where small wings start to form on their backs, during this stage other appendages like horns or antenna or antlers may begin forming as well- though it's very rare. This stage is where they begin losing their hover ability to slowly adjust to a more reliable and fast flight.

When they've matured enough they'll have grown larger- not too much larger mind you! But they will also have paws now to better hold weapons, and their wings will have finally come in. Also Astrals eyes become brighter and start glowing the older they get, so by this stage they are a pure color (but still have stars in them if you look close enough) and will glow. Also, speaking of wings, they come in all shapes and sizes, bat wings, bug wings, bird wings, star shaped sparkler wings you name it they can have it!

BASICALLY it goes from: float->hover->fly

It's a custom of Astrals to don a mask or helm of some kind when they've reached full maturity, as it's... Kinda hard to take a lil cutie pie seriously unless they cover that cutie pie face up! Some Astrals are more anxious about their faces though. Looking at you Meta Knight.
