Also a silly little video of me pouring the juice (yes it is actually juice)
Discussion of potential spoilers for DR s2p2 below, no images though so don't worry you're not missing out
I wanted to do one with him wearing a wolf mask but I genuinely could not think of a pose that didn't seem silly, generic, or repetitive so I didn't, might do it later if inspiration hits. Plus, my fingers were getting sticky and the blue tack was getting a bit too wet.

Inspired by the Lego Eda meme and the fact that I have a Lego collection, in this post I submit to the world my attempt at building real-life Lego TOH characters >:) With my extensive collection, I thought I'd be able to make a fairly good attempt at this, and I guess it's pretty good considering the limitations of Lego piece shapes, colours and prints, but wow do they look... not great in some areas! :D
The most-recently referenced episode for this creation would be.... S2E06 Hunting Palismen.
Before I do a character-by-character breakdown, I guess I should note: I had to completly ignore the character's races when making them out of Lego. This is because, while you can get different skin tones in Lego, there's not many of them and they mostly come in licensed sets (which I don't really have), so I'm pretty much unable to create coloured characters. Therefore I have yellow-washed everyone. Sorry about that, I know it's not great!
Onto the breakdown...
Lego Luz
Her hair comes from a secret agent guy, and her cat hoodie is now blue and she stole it from Wyldstyle from the Lego Movie
The colours on her shirt have mixed like paint to create solid lavendar. Goodbye, asexual pride flag reference 😔
She has striped shorts, because it was either that or I give her the legs from this guy
Owlbert is now a snake
Lego King
Looks terrifying
Is tall
Has taken the main part of his body from Scratchy of The Simpsons, and his tail from a wolf... Now we know what his heritage is!!
In an attempt to make him look less terrifying, I gave him a teddy bear. I can't say it was a successful attempt though
Even if I did have short dark grey legs to give him, it wouldn't work because the tail is too tall to work with short legs 😥
Lego Willow
...yeah she's not wearing her yellow dress :( She's wearing stuff she stole from a random suburban girl and Jack Skellington instead
She does have flowers though :) Or, alternatively, vines >:)
Lego Gus
His illusion power comes from the ring from Lord of the Rings! That's his little spell circle he uses when he makes mini Guses!
The mini Guses in question are the awesome nanofigure statue pieces!! This one's in silver, they don't exist in transparent blue (yet?)
Lego Amity
She's outgrown her hair, dyed it pink, and added a sparkly silver star. This is... Season 3 Amity??
She's carrying a giant book because 1) this is Amity Blight we're looking at, and 2) it covers the fact that she's not wearing her necklace and that I had to make her leggings and boots a different colour :I
Lego Grom Luz
EASILY MY FAVOURITE ATTEMPT
The moment I noticed the pink tutu piece I knew I had to attempt making her in this outfit!
She has the slicked-back hair too... Just don't look at her from the side because then you'll see that she had to grow werewolf ears in order to get it
She also has the mace >:D
She gets her own, unshared cubicle in my display thing because the tutu is simply too big to put another character beside her :( Ideally I woulda had Willow and Gus get their own spaces, but tutu Luz didn't allow it
Lego Grom Amity
This Amity decided to be a bit casual with her hair this Grom, putting it into a messy bun. Don't criticise her for it, because she's got a lot on her mind tonight, and I do not want to give her the only other green hair piece I have instead.
She borrowed the botttom part of her dress from Patty from the Simpsons, unfortunately
Despite all this, she's smiling and she's gonna have a good night :)
Lego Emira
I only really made the twins because I knew they wouldn't look great, so I thought it'd be amusing if I tried. Why wouldn't they look good, you ask? Because Emira's hair is the back of a lizard!!
Their tunics do look cool though - they came from Jafar from the second Disney Minifigure series
Lego Edric
Like Emira, he wears an elf hat instead of having actual hair on the top of his head. The elf hat comes with elf ears attached, which is cool because they're witches... but it stops being cool when you realise that none of the other witches have these ears, not even their younger sister 😔
Lego Hunter
...he actually turned out pretty gooood 🧐 I wasn't expecting that...
His palisman is Dumbledore's phoenix, Fawkes. Apparently cardinals are associated with phoenixes so that's pretty cool because I can use it as an excuse
His hair is from this dog show guy
His chestplate thing came from a golden winged warrior man
He is a mad but sad boy
Lego Tibbles
Yes I made the fandom's most hated character instead of Raine or someone, anyone else! (I really don't know how I'd attempt making Raine... their hair??? how am I gonna get a hair part in that kind of colour for starters...) I had to though because I had pig ears AND a devil tail, AND a potion, AND tarot cards, so I knew he'd turn out great if I made him!!
And he did turn out great! :D My only complaint is that, like King, he's far too tall
Overall I'm happy with my little project here :) Some parts are awful (the Blight children's hair situation, King's head...), but some characters actually look great I think (Grom Luz, Hunter)!
Making characters out of Lego is actually a running thing for me: I did it for Steven Universe, OHSHC, BNHA, and now this 🤔 I guess that's how I know I'm enjoying a show, if I suddenly decide to make a Lego tribute for it 😅

Kiddo Sites/Apps!
Hi hi! I always see a lot of posts recommending sites and apps for age regressors but a lot of the time they’re the same things, so I thought I’d make my own! All the sites and apps on here are free, don’t worry! (Some may have ads or in-app purchase, though!) It’s under the cut cause I tried to include some preview pictures which made it kinda long! If anyone would like to add more or have me add more, just let me know! Have fun and stay safe during this time of quarantine and social distancing!
WEBSITES
- DisneyClips
This is probably my FAVOURITE site for when I’m regressed! It’s made by Disney fans for Disney fans, and is updated with new activites pretty often! It has a bunch of safe and fun games, quizzes, coloring pages, and even things like analysis charts for kiddos whose special interest or hyperfixation is Disney! It has dress up games that are super-duper easy and cute, and I love them because their style looks like it could come right out of the film it’s from! Like the dresses and everything, and they stick to each princess’s style while making different dresses from the original ones! It’s crazy!!
-PBS Kids
A classic but awesome site!! You can watch all sorts of episodes for free, you don’t have to put in an email or anything! There are even games and episodes from shows that have long since gone off the air!
-American Girl
Don’t be fooled by the site’s title, this site is for everyone! If you’re familiar with the American Girl characters, there’s lots of dress up and themed games, and if you’re not familiar with the characters, don’t worry cause there’s still super cute games like pet grooming and, my favourite, Coconut’s Safari! I linked to the games page, but there’s quizzes and polls, too!
-Webkinz
I’m sure a lot of you know about Webkinz already, but it hasn’t gone anywhere even after all these years! It’s one of my favourite sites, and it’s free to play now! For people unfamiliar with Webkinz, it’s a virtual world where you can raise a pet, decorate rooms, and collect all sorts of objects, food, and clothing! You can play this one online, with their new desktop app, or with their mobile app! (I will warn you, though, the mobile app does not have that much stuff on it)
-Poptropica
Poptropica has been around for a while too, but it’s changed a lot in recent years! You can play it online and there’s also an app. This one is probably for older kiddos, though - it has a lot of puzzles and requires a lot of thinking at times, so if you’re looking for a relaxing game this probably isn’t it.
APPS
- Habitica
Habitica is a super-duper easy habit tracker/reminder app! I use it to remind me to take my meds, shower, brush my teeth, things like that! But you put in your habits and to-do list so you can personalize it! Usually I don’t like apps like this because they offer no incentive but Habitica turns it into an RPG like Dungeons and Dragons!! So you can level up and get equipment and even pets! What I love about it, too, is that if you ever have any question, their FAQ is super clear and easy to understand, which makes it ideal for autistic kids like me!
- Cookie Run
Cookie Run is an oldie but a goldie! It’s a running platformer game where you can collect lots of cute cookies and their pets and learn their stories! Plus there’s canon LGBTQ+ rep with some of the cookie heroes! Cookie Run has a lot of bright colours and fast movement though, so it might not be the best game for kiddos with seizures or sensory issues!
- My Tamagotchi Forever
Super cute revamp of tamagotchi!! Your pets don’t run away or anything in this one, haha! You can decorate your town and your house with coins you earn from simple minigames, and you can dress up your tamagotchis in different outfits and fill out their scrapbooks and collect them all! I really liked this app, definitely one of my favorites :)
- Hello Kitty Lunchbox
Super simple “cooking” game! Again, this is a super easy, no hassle game and is good for really young kiddos. You get to make a lunch for Hello Kitty and decorate it, along with her lunchbox before “eating” your meal. But again, I wanna stress this one is super simple and some kids may get bored of it.
-Pocket Ponies
A My Little Pony version of the classic ball shooter game. You aim to hit enemies with your balls, and eventually charge up your ponies so they can perform their special action. You get to collect My Little Pony characters and each one has a different ability.
-Hello Kitty Music Party
This one’s more of an idle tapper game. It wants you to tap on your screen along with the beat of the music, but even if you don’t tap with the beat you can still get rewards! It has a couple cutesy pop songs in the app, but it can also access your music library on your device so you can tap with whatever you want! The app itself doesn’t offer much instruction but it’s fairly simple to figure out. But like the other Hello Kitty game, it can grow boring quickly for some kids, which is why it became an idle game for me.
-Disney TsumTsum
This one is kind of like Bejeweled or Candy Crush - you connect little Disney characters to make them “pop!” You get to collect a bunch of different characters and each character has a special ability.
YOUTUBE CHANNELS
-RescueHero’s Nostalgia Zone
A lesser known channel but it’s one of my favorites! It’s a gameplay channel, but pretty much every video is old video games like TV plug and plays, leapster/leap frog games, or CD-ROM games from the 2000s. It’s an active channel, too, and tends to upload every week or so! From what I can tell, there’s no voiceover and their videos are just simple, nostalgic gameplay.
-Shirley Curry
This one’s a little weird but it’s very wholesome - it’s a grandma in her 80′s(?) who loves to play video games! She mostly plays games for older kiddos like Skyrim, but her videos are very calming and she’s very cute in the way she comments on games. She’s super sweet to her viewers and calls them her grandkids, and usuaslly responds in comments. Her videos are also easy videos to listen to in the background, too.
-pstoyreviews
I don’t watch a lot of toy channels because a lot of the time they’re over the top and super corny or just... really weird, but this channel is run by two people (I think they are a couple but I’m not sure) named Shannon and Paul, and they’re very casual about their videos (despite the corny thumbnails, lol). Anyway, they mostly do blind bag openings for trinkets and toys that are currently on the shelves - things like Tokidoki, LOL Dolls, Shopkins, minifigures, things like that. It’s a very good channel if you like those cutesy sorts of things but don’t have the money to get them yourself! To my knowledge they’re not really sponsored, so there’s no encouraging you to buy a product or anything like that. Like I said, they’re very casual and do talk during the videos but they talk a little slow and there’s no background music, so they are very easy to understand! I believe Shannon also has a doll-specific channel, too, if you’re into that.
-nana825763
Better known as piropito, this channel is well known for its really cute and wholesome Minecraft gameplay that you can start watching here. This is a Japanese channel, but he captions his own videos, so don’t worry! Anyway, his goal was to figure out everything in Minecraft with absolutely no cheats or searching the web for information or anything like that. That’s really the only thing I’d recommend on this channel, however, and do be careful because they do have some horror game playthroughs on there so stay safe!
-Sesame Street
Not much to explain here! It’s Sesame Street, and they post clips of the show, songs, and sometimes even full episodes.
#goodness this took forever#kidcore#nostalgia#agere#chire#piggy tales#I feel like these are all kind of girly too so if anyone would like boyish' ones let me know!

When I first saw the Child at the end of the first episode in The Mandalorian I was delighted, and very possibly in love. Disney managed the incredible feat of keeping the world from revealing that a baby Yoda was the show’s star, or at least it did for those watching Disney+ in the US. Thankfully I’d been watching along too, otherwise I’d have been unable to avoid the spoilers in the months before it became available in the UK and elsewhere. I’m so glad I did!
youtube
One of the most intriguing aspects of having maintained this spoiler-free state is that for months there’s no official baby Yoda merch. This isn’t surprising as licensing tends to result in tonnes of leaked images and spoilers, particularly for LEGO. Right now we won’t get a proper LEGO version of the Child till September when he becomes available only in the £119.99 set of The Razor Crest. At 120 quid, that’s a bit steep for a baby Yoda. It’s an expensive set, even by LEGO Star Wars standards, at 12p per brick. The Razor Crest looks OK, but as with many Star Wars sets it’s a big grey lump and doesn’t excite me much. In the gaping absence of official baby Yodas (because a pluralised “the Childs” just sounds weird), China’s bootleg factories have gone into overdrive. Collecting them has become a slight obsession…
Basic Childs (see, reads horribly.)
The first one popped up quickly on eBay, before, I think we had any sight of the future LEGO version. It’s a basic (and quickly done) repaint of the existing LEGO babies mould (fucking creepy things), with ears stuck on. It’s not terrible, and is quite cute. His “basicness” feels a little like something LEGO might actually do. The little mini capes flap around quite annoyingly till you press them down firmly. He was my first, so he feels kinda special… he cost £2.95 with a Mandalorian minifigure at the end of January.
Number two popped up a week later. The body is identical, as are the pair of capes, one rectangular on the front and a rounded version on the back. This time he’s got a rather nicely sculpted head, much like the official LEGO Yoda, but scaled down and up-cuted. He was a bargain at £1.65! With the immovable arms I figured he was pretty close to what we’d end up with.
The Child #1
The Child #2
With Trash Baby for comparison
Yoda Evolution
If there was one thing missing, it was the iconic space pram that baby Yoda follows Mister Shiny Helmet around in. I’d been looking at a few ways to build one, but then was spared by China coming through once again. Number three cost a bit more – the bank-breaking sum of £3.99, but finally came with his little carriage. Along with the space pram came a complete re-design. This chap’s larger, more lime green, and waaaaay angrier-looking. Clearly tired of LEGO’s somewhat freaky babies, this little chap has moveable arms (and indeed hands that plug into the wrist holes like regular minifigures) with a nice scarf accessory. The pram is quite neatly done, if a bit loose in its fitting. There’s an antistud on the base and four studs inside to choose whether you want the lid to close when the child is inside or not. I think it’s rather good, and although he is very angry, I find him rather adorable. The pram is of course MASSIVE though, as you can see when hes hanging out with Mando. Note that the first pic with Mando below is the official Din Djarin figure, and the second is the newer bootleg version with shiny beskar armour.
The Child #3
Poseable!
OK components
Hello!
Sleep tight.
Then It Got… Hideous
At this point I lost all power to not buy these things. The next two that popped up showed up in mid April, just a few days after space pram boy. They were of somewhat lesser quality, but I was committed. First up, Child number three. He’s a repaint of the usual LEGO (knock-off mould) Yoda figure with mini-legs, and larger eyes literally coloured with marker pen, as far as I can tell, since they started rubbing off immediately. The head is also hard and spiky at the back, y’know, like Yoda’s… On the other hand, they’ve put some effort into the design, adding clothing patterns to all sides of the minifig body, legs and arms, which rather endears him to me more. This chap was the princely sum of £3.49!
And then this one happened. It looks OK at a distance, but close up or next to anything else and he’s a freak monster. This chap’s completely unarticulated, and he’s pretty much a single lump of horrifying plastic. But he does come with a mug, enabling him to empty his bone broth on the ground… Bizarrely for his outlandish size, he is still intended for LEGO system, four studs wide and three deep, allowing him to fit onto other plates with ease. Looks like he’s had a few too many plates of something. This monster was also £3.49, and I feel I’ve been repaid with nightmares.
Aaaaargh!
Kill it with fire
Wait, You Must, for Good Things There Are
Just a week later (I know, I know, this is getting ridiculous), possibly the best little dude ever appeared! For £3.95 (someone on eBay’s definitely seen me coming…). This little guy gives me the same feeling I did when the Mandalorian rescued baby Yoda from the Empire: intense fuzziness. He’s a bit bigger, but they’ve done a lovely job moulding his head to be super-appealing. He’s a smarter construction too – a regular size minifigure body, albeit with little custom arms and hands that can’t hold anything, plugged into a neat, um, I don’t know what to call this… body socket? with a ruff on top. Size-wise he feels more like the usual LEGO difference between an adult and child character, with lots of very nice detailing. Goddamn, he’s adorable.
The Child #6
In Semi-Conclusion…
Obviously number six is the best all-round, but how close are any of them to what LEGO has planned? Honestly, I’m a little disappointed. Clearly, he fits into the usual LEGO sizing and design scheme, and has lovely big eyes and cute face, but after seeing so many other versions, I’m not that into him. I’ll almost certainly pick up a copy of him split out from the Razor Crest set.
Official LEGO
The Child #2
The Child #6
You’ll be extremely unsurprised that I’ve got at least another two on the way… though they’re mostly for their space pram variants! I think the whole thing is a fascinating example of what happens when they’re a gap in licensing, and I’m oddly inspired by the resulting creativity.
I’ll do another post like this when I receive the others, and another one comparing the Mandolorian designs for Din Djarin himself. Do you have a favourite? Let me know!
Bootlego Baby Yodas – I’ve been obsessed with collecting knock-off versions of the Child, waiting for official The Mandalorian LEGO to come out! Last time we’d just finished putting in the new floor and painting the walls and ceiling, meaning it was just the cupboards & shelves to go in. That makes it sound like we were really close to being finished, but sadly that wasn’t the case.
The carpenter we had hired to do our cupboards was someone Kitty found in the street… quite literally, she approached him as he was finishing a job just up the road. He’d given us a price and said that the job would take two days, which was ideal as when I work a weekend I get two days in the week off so we ended up timing things to coincide with my days off.
When he arrives he instantly begins talking about being here three days, maybe even into a fourth depending on his progress. Straight away timescales start to slip, and a day’s holiday had to be cancelled so I could re-book it and be there for the third day.
The plan was to put two cupboards in the alcoves, with three shelves above on the right alcove and two on the left, with the TV being up on the wall on the left side.
Three and a half days later that’s exactly what we ended up with.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The work is exactly what we wanted, and we’re very happy with it, even though it took much longer than expected. It also left us with a bit more touching up than expected too; although we knew we’d have to do some cover up painting, we probably underestimated just how much.
The wood at the back of the left alcove is a fake wall, to hide the cables behind with the newly wall-mounted TV. That in itself was a bit of a palaver, because I attempted to do it myself and the damn bracket started coming out of the wall when I started to hang the TV on it. Fortunately dear old dad popped round one day while I was at work and did it properly for us!
Next steps, paint the cupboard doors, shelves, fake wall, skirting and window surround. But what colour? That was a pretty big decision; it took us a while to make our mind up.
Our choices (limited to Farrow & Ball colours because Kitty loves them) were to paint the cupboards and shelves the same colour as the walls (Stiffkey Blue), the ceiling (Wimborne White) or something a little different. We thought that there would be too much white if we went for that, and then began to consider Railings, which is a very dark grey. The problem is then what colour to do the skirting… because we wanted a dark colour on the shelves and cupboards to help them blend into the wall and not make things feel too small, but then doing the skirting under the cupboards white could undo that and make the walls feel closer in.
So we decided to do all the cupboards, shelves, mantle shelf, door frame and skirting in Railings. The window surround, windowsill and skirting under the window is Wimborne White to make a feature of the bay window.
With all the painting done and the cupboards and shelves in, it’s time to fill them! I’ve ended up putting a real mix of new things and old favourites, like our new globe and lamp as well as our Mexican skull and Pointless trophy. However Kitty keeps telling me that, despite her tweaking things already, the shelves are not finished yet because she’s not settled on final arrangements!
But the most fun thing we now have in our living room are (for me anyway) the Lego minifigures!
I’ve been collecting superhero Lego figures for a couple of years now, having been selling them online for a while too, and they’ve never been on display. They’ve all been tucked away in tubs waiting for their chance to shine. And then Kitty suggested a printer’s tray to stand some in. I think she was hoping for something a little smaller, but I’ve managed to get away with a pretty big one that I found on eBay, which now houses over a hundred different Marvel and DC characters.
The room is finished off with a new rug from Cox & Cox. We only wish we could switch out our older arm chair and blinds for something a bit better, but there are more pressing things to do in the house and so they’ll have to go onto the wish list.
The next fun thing we need to do is our gallery wall, which is also subject to much debate. Both of us have different ideas of what we want to include. For me; I wanted something comic book-y and something Star Wars related. While Kitty was adamant we include one of our wedding photos and something typographic.
In the end I’m sure we’ll end up with something we’re both very happy with. We’re planning to use different styles and sizes of frames to house things such as our Rappers Delight print and an Arizona print that Kitty got me.
There are still a couple of tiny bits to finish off, like adding in the last bits of scotia trim in front of the cupboards and filling the gap under one side of the hearth. But we are essentially finished (at last) and have a brand new fantastic living room to enjoy. And just in time for Christmas too!
