Hello! Can I get Marvel, Harry Potter, Twilight, Stranger Things, The Witcher, Peaky Blinders, The Walking Dead, Suicide Squad, Game Of Thrones ship? 💖 179 cm tall; dark brown, past shoulder-length hair with bangs; blue eyes (the left eye is mixed with hazel, aka, heterochromia iridium); heptagon face shape with dimples; rectangle body shape. Hufflepuff. INFP-T. Bi-curious. Pisces-Aries cusp sign. ”Looks like could kill you, but is actually a cinnamon roll.” At first, I may come off as reserved, shy, yet polite. I, as many of us, have a resting bitch face, that’s why people may think that I’m in a bad mood. It takes me a lot of time to warm up to somebody, cause I have social anxiety. Hate small talk, or speaking in front of the public. When I’m nervous, I tend to mess up my words or forget what I was supposed to say. I’m usually playful, dirty-minded and goofy around close friends. I’m the so-called, ”fashionista and mom” from my circle of friends. A perfectionist, punctual, over-thinker, slight control/clean freak. Stubborn in some situations. If I’m annoyed or getting impatient, I can say something witty or sarcastic. I’m constantly fighting an inner battle with myself, trying to accept myself. I don’t like to smile or laugh in public, cause of the small gap between my front teeth. I really hate taking selfies or somebody else taking pictures of me. The clothes I wear depends on my mood (and the weather outside), but it’s always a mix of smart casual or comfortable. Don’t like doing things out of my comfort zone, prefer to stay indoors. Dislike asking people for help (it makes me feel uncomfortable). I don’t like arguments, but I will square up if they come for my family or I snapped. I’m a kind-hearted person, always ready to help someone in need, quite modest as well. My hobbies include listening to any type of music, reading, watching movies or tv shows, traveling (if given the chance), and cleaning. Have a thing for writing. Very protective of my family. Divorced parents. Motherly towards kids and friends. An old soul, and the ”black sheep” of my family. A feminist, support LGBTQ+ community. Sometimes I like to try and cook easy recipes. Dislike black coffee, prefer tea or orange juice. That’s it, - thanks!
MARVEL
Tumblr media
I ship you with Bruce Banner!
He would be kind of wary and scared to talk to you to a start. The other guy may be big and strong, but he’s not. He doesn’t have much confidence in himself when in his human form and he would be intimidated by you at first glance, but once he actually works up the courage to come and talk to you, you’d get on great.
He knows what it's like to struggle with social anxiety so he would be patient and need some time to become comfortable with you, as well, scared of messing things up by saying the wrong thing and/or sharing too much.
Like you, he rambles when he’s nervous so that’s just another thing you have in common, but once he’s comfortable with someone, he’s more than happy to participate in some sarcastic, dirty-minded banter.
He’s very reserved and, like earlier mentioned, doesn’t have much confidence. He would never understand how someone like you would want someone like him but he would be so in awe of the fact that you did want him.
He knows all too well what it’s like to be at odds with yourself and accepting who you are so he would be very understanding and supportive of that, and he’d comfort you about your insecurities and let you know that you’re more than good enough.
You’re also very similar in that you prefer to stay indoors, away from all kinds of social activity, and not go out of your comfort zones while, as well as the way you’re both more than willing to help other people in need while disliking asking for help for yourselves.
HARRY POTTER
Tumblr media
I ship you with George Weasley!
George is the literal definition of a cinnamon roll. He’s so kind, caring and thoughtful, and I feel like we don’t talk about that nearly enough.
You’re shy and reserved, and he’s forward and energetic. You struggle to warm up to people, and he has no problem whatsoever getting to know new people. So I feel like it would be a good match. He would kinda just force all his energy onto you so that you, as a result, wouldn’t feel as anxious about meeting someone new, you know?
He could help you let loose a bit more, and I mean that in the most respectful way possible; not because you’re uptight, but more so to help relieve some of that stress and pressure that everything always has to be perfect.
He’s so loud as a person that neither you nor anyone else would even notice your mistakes, like messing up your words, because George and his twin just take the stage wherever they go.
George loves pushing his limits and discovering new things so I feel like he’d definitely try to get you out of your comfort zones on some occasions, but at the same time, he’s a lot less pushy than his twin and would give up if he noticed that you really didn’t want to do something, whereas Fred probably would’ve just dragged you along by your arm and bugged you until you gave in.
He’d find your shy personality adorable to a start but once you got comfortable enough to show your playful, dirty-minded and goofy side, he would just be amazed and get even more excited around you.
And knowing him, he’d love both your heterochromia and the gap between your teeth. He would find your eyes the most fascinating thing in the world, and he’s just generally a person who loves “different” and finds it beautiful.
Being protective over family and loved ones is a plus for any of the Weasleys, seeing as the most precious thing they have is just that; family. So the fact that this is a quality you have would make George even more attracted to you, as would your motherly instincts.
 TWILIGHT
Tumblr media
I ship you with Embry Call!
Like Bruce, Embry probably would’ve been a bit intimidated by you on first sight. Not only because of your resting bitch face, but also because he just has no experience with girls, whatsoever.
After much encouragement from the other boys, however, he probably would’ve been able to work up the courage needed to approach you and most likely, knowing him, he would’ve stumbled over his words and completely messed up, so you’d never have to worry about messing up like that, yourself, because he would just be such a mess that it would be hard to beat.
Embry is, like you, playful, dirty-minded and goofy when he’s in the right company, but he’s much quieter and shyer than the other boys on the reservation, as well as reserved in general - like you. He’s also a lot more caring and loving than his pack members but, like the rest of them, he’s very protective of family, which is just another thing the two of you share.
Embry is a wolf so, obviously, he enjoys being outside and participating in fast-paced activities, but I don’t think he’d mind staying inside with you, watching movies, or just listening to music and hanging out. His mom definitely wouldn’t mind, as he’s technically grounded for life for sneaking out every night, which he keeps ignoring much to her dismay.
He’s just so kind and humble. He’d be so sweet and supportive about your insecurities and never force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with, and he’d be all over your cooking, no matter how good or bad you are at it!
 STRANGER THINGS
Tumblr media
I ship you with Jonathan Byers!
Jonathan knows everything about being the black sheep. He had to find himself and learn his value completely on his own, so he knows what it’s like to be at war with your own mind in accepting who you are.
He believes that people should be judged by their ability to work rather than by what gender they are and that women should be respected just as much as men, as seen when he disapproved of how Nancy was being treated by her co-workers, and therefore also shares your feminist ideals.
He would be the sweetest to you about your insecurities and tell you that it’s okay to be different no matter what and that you’re beautiful and enough just the way you are.
He’s introverted, asocial and kind just like you, cares very deeply for family and knows what it’s like to have divorced parents.
He’s very much into music just like you are and is not very fond of small talk nor fighting either, so I feel like you would have a really calm and stable relationship.
 THE WITCHER
Tumblr media
I ship you with Jaskier!
Jaskier is a little like George Weasley in the way that he always steals all the attention whenever he walks into a room. He’s got a very loud personality and for the same reasons I think you’d be good with George, I think you would be good with Jaskier!
Unlike you who prefer staying within your comfort one, Jaskier might care about that a bit too little. Let’s just say that he would never bother you about not being more adventurous, because he’d be far too busy stepping out of his comfort zone and getting into trouble, himself, to notice.
Jaskier is also a big fan of writing, reading and, of course, music, so I think you’d be able to have some really good times together.
 PEAKY BLINDERS
Tumblr media
I ship you with Ada Shelby!
Being the only woman as well as the only really sensible member of a family full of gangsters for sure puts a person under the “black sheep”-category, so Ada knows all about feeling out of place.
She’s the only member of the Shelby family who absolutely hates violence which is one of the main reasons I think you’d suit each other, seeing as you don’t like arguments. Just like you, she will square up if she absolutely has to in order to defend herself, but she’d much prefer not to.
She’s very level-headed and tries her best to stay well clear of all the illegal activities that her family get up to, instead, putting her focus into activism and trying to improve equality for everyone, as well as trying to embrace the beautiful and sensuous things life has to offer.
She has a natural instinct to take care of those who can’t look after themselves, she’s kind-hearted and humane, accepting and understanding, so she would be very patient with getting to know you and let you take the time you needed.
Out of all the Peaky Blinders characters, I can almost guarantee you that Ada is your best shot at getting a peaceful and unproblematic life.
THE WALKING DEAD
Tumblr media
I ship you with Daryl Dixon!
Daryl may be brave and good at surviving, but he is, at the same time, constantly facing challenges from his past as an abuse victim. Because of his trauma, he’s very socially awkward and doesn’t really know how to connect with other people, even though he does seem to have the desire to do so. For example, at the beginning of the apocalypse, he often spoke to people without making eye contact and cringed away from physical touch, with little to no social skills, and even though he has definitely gotten better at it, the struggle is still there to some extent.
His childhood trauma is also the reason for his insecurities, of which the biggest one is his scars. He’s ashamed of them and every day he’s reminded of the fact that he, through all his life, has been nothing and no one. He often shows signs that he considers himself to be worthless as well as depressed, and shows clear discomfort and distrust for people he’s not all that familiar with.
Because of the discomfort of being around people, he prefers to keep his distance from groups, because he functions best when he’s either alone or in the company of just one or two people; preferably the former. So naturally, he’s very quiet, not at all fond of small talk. Even with people he’s comfortable being around, he’d rather sit in a comfortable, mutual silence than speak.
You have all these things in common; finding it hard trusting and opening up to people, being over-thinkers, disliking small talk, constantly fighting inner battles with yourselves and struggling to accept yourselves, disliking asking people for help, as well as having big social anxieties in general.
But what you also have in common is that you’re very protective of family. Daryl may prefer to keep to himself, but he doesn’t hesitate to risk his life in order to save the members of his group. He’s incredibly selfless and loyal to a fault and would stop at nothing to protect his people as well as help people who can’t protect themselves.
As a result of his abuse, he also an extreme attentiveness to others. He’s so hypervigilant that not only is he always prepared for zombies, but he can also attentive to the emotions of people. So even though he might struggle with communicating sympathy verbally and through touch, he will go to great lengths to use his special skills to help those in pain, this meaning - you wouldn’t have to communicate your feelings through words every time since he’d most likely pick up on your body language, which can be a really big relief when you’re self-conscious about stumbling over words when nervous and struggle with social anxiety.
He would just be very understanding of your social issues in general and as he absolutely hates when people try to pry into his life before the apocalypse, he would never put any pressure, whatsoever, on you to open up to him in anything other than your own time. If anyone knows what it’s like to feel out of place, it’s him.
SUICIDE SQUAD
Tumblr media
I ship you with Rick Flag!
It’s no secret that Rick is very serious and short-tempered when in combat and on the job. His personality is usually described as sturdy, stoic and serious and he’s been trained to serve and follow orders without questions. He takes his responsibilities very seriously and gets frustrated when others don’t pay him the same respect.
But away from his job, Rick also has a softer, more vulnerable side and is capable of warming up even to enemies through his ability to see things from different perspectives, as seen when he happily hugs Floyd after defeating Enchantress. He’s deeply protective of those he loves and would go to unthinkable lengths to protect them.
He isn’t a person who willingly goes out of his comfort zone either; on the contrary, it’s usually something he’s pressured to do by other people who, often, have some kind of leverage on him.
So had he only been presented with the choice, I think he’d really be into the idea of a simple life with no drama, no danger. Just him, his significant other, living together and going about their ways either separately or together, before having dinner and falling asleep together in front of a good movie or tv show. He’d be more than happy living a life as simple as that.
Underneath that whole military attitude, he also has a sense of humor hidden away; the goofy and playful one, just like yours. And I think that you would be really good together in that sense.
GAME OF THRONES
Tumblr media
I ship you with Jon Snow!
Jon is known to be humble, calm and withdrawn and would, at least after the events of the last season, much rather live a calm, simple life than one full of adventure and challenged limits since he’s so clearly shown to be burdened by the constant danger and responsibility.
All his life, Jon has lived as an outcast; a bastard, and the black sheep in a family of wolves. Because of Catelyn’s consistent hatred and torment, he never felt anything other than hatred, self-doubt and shame toward himself and has never felt like he belongs anywhere, with anyone.
He was forced to quietly wrestle with dejection and loneliness his entire life; always among them, but never really one of them, and because he never quite fit in, he was naturally more susceptible to anti-social behavior, as shown in the way that he always tends to mind his own business, prefers to stay within his comfort zone and also in the way that he isn’t big on small talk.
He was so ashamed of himself and who he was that he pledged himself to the Night’s Watch in order to escape the label of a bastard, so he knows better than anyone what it’s like to try and accept oneself.
To finish it off, he’s the ultimate feminist, who takes powerful women for what they are and understands the importance of lifting them up. He encouraged Arya and her proclivity for archery and combat and he admitted to his misjudgments and faults without being derisive or sexist when Sansa outsmarted him and saved his ass in the Battle of the Bastards so he doesn’t consider it to be emasculating to be equal, or even inferior, to a woman, and doesn’t pick and choose what kind of woman to support. He supports all of them and their individual strengths, whether it be physical power in combat, or mental power in politics.
FAST AND FURIOUS
Tumblr media
I ship you with Leon!
Little is known about Leon since he was only in the first movie with minimal screentime, but I have, over the years, built my own opinion of him through his way of behaving in the moments we actually got to see him.
My first thought on him was that he’s a bit of the lost loner type and that he’s much more rational and level-headed than the others.
He voices his disapproval to Dom on several occasions and got shut down every time, which showed that he didn’t really trust him to keep them safe and out of handcuffs, and that he wasn’t comfortable with how far they were taking things.
This, to me, equals that he’s not a person who is very fond of stepping out of his comfort zone and would much rather play it safe and stick to the things he knows.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a coward, but he’s definitely more cautious than the rest of the squad. Rather than getting high off the thrill, he just seems like he’s along for the ride, without actually needing the excitement like the others do. Plain and simple: he’s a tag-along:er, not an adrenaline junkie.
In the scenes he’s in, he was always the one to, in one way or another, look out for the well-being of the others, and I can imagine, since he and Jesse met before the two joined the squad, that he looked after Jesse for a long while, as well.
Jesse had pretty severe ADD as well as slightly faulty instincts and understandings in some social settings both because of his ADD and because he was raised by his criminal dad to know no better, so looking out for him would probably take a little bit of work since I’d guess that he got himself into trouble a lot.
Because of this, I’ve kind of put him in the “caretaker”-category, since he seems to be so much more genuine and caring than the rest, and that, in turn, is why I think he’d be a good match for you.
I also think that you’d be good together because of the fact Jesse shares a lot of qualities with you; a bit reserved, stuttering when nervous, and being generally anxious around strangers. Since Leon has experience with this, he wouldn’t judge you but rather know how to handle it, support you and make you feel more comfortable.
His mother left him when he was still young and he has clearly been struggling to find a place where he belongs. He thought that he found it with Dom’s crew, but when Jesse died and Vince and Letty got seriously hurt, he obviously had enough, decided that the heat had become too risky and that he didn’t want anything more to do with the illegal activities.
Once again, after Jesse’s passing, he was left alone, and I’m one hundred percent sure that he left the crew to go live a safer, calmer life because, like Rick Flag, he just seems like the type to want a quiet life with a like-minded significant other, maybe some animals and/or a kid or two. Basically just a “perfect, happy family”-situation with no risk-taking, just staying safe within your comfort zones.

Drabble: Into the Fire ( welcome, Jedi Collins )
“I dunno, Sam,” Buffy’s sunny, these days. Lots of yellow, a re-appearance of spring butterflies here and there in her hair. Like she’s trying to use color to pull herself out of whatever funk she’s been in lately. Shades of morning and summer to offset her gloomy demeanor. Her eyes cast down to her half-eaten yogurt, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with an equally tired, equally glum Caroline who hasn’t taken her eyes off Stefan since he walked into the room. It’s late, somewhere in the midst of twilight that sees these overworked, underpaid Avengers finally up and at ’em. Sitting down to the world’s most depressing breakfast before heading out for nightly patrols.
Buffy sighs without making a sound and doesn’t lift her gaze until she absolutely has to, “I mean, I don’t have context, I’ll grant you — I only faced Katherine once. And I know you guys have history,” which is the nicest way, ever, of saying Sam has a thing about bad girls that gets him into an awful lot of trouble, “It’s just, after everything she’s done. Sam. After everyone she’s hurt…”
Sam half-smiles, flinches, that annoyed little tick that rears it’s ugly head when someone’s listening, but they’re not hearing him. He’s frazzled, has to get his hair out of his face, so he brushes it back with both hands, “You know, I get it. I do, I get why you’ve got reservations and, you should. Katherine’s done a lot of damage but if we’re saying that makes her damaged goods? That she’s not worth saving? I’m sorry, I just don’t accept that.”
That would be catnip to Faith if she hadn’t checked out the minute Katherine’s name was brought up. She’s vaguely aware of what’s going on, and about how much of Sam’s ass will get kicked later on for this weird obsession with a former slice that was, by all accounts, a cheap placeholder for Faith in his life. Right now, though? By the grace of God, it’s none of her business.
She’s sliding in her earpods, intent on ignoring this all in favor of every Smashing Pumpkins song she’s ever heard, when one of them is suddenly yanked out of her ear. She turns her head a bit, just in time to see Damon plop down on the seat between Ric and herself with a smirk and the most wicked eyebrows you’ve ever seen.
He wants something, and it’s distracting to Sam to watch Damon sweep glossy curls off Faith’s neck as a dramatic prelude to whispering something in her ear, cheek to cheek, that tickles her enough to crack a pirate grin across her face — distracting, but not for the reason you’re thinking. Damon’s too touchy-feely. Especially here lately, walking around cocooned in the glow of eternal honeymoon. Pulling a Joe Biden with anyone who doesn’t flinch. It’s just how he is and they all know he doesn’t mean anything by it. Ric doesn’t even look up from his book for anything but a bite of his sandwich. He doesn’t really need to. For all their bullshit, there’s a trust building there that’s a beautiful thing to behold — or, it would be, if anyone noticed. So long as Damon’s not leering at Sam, Ric can deal.
Sam’s still not happy, about to lay the whole situation out because Buffy’s about as wrong as you get without being Bizarro Superman. When someone finally busts in, it’s Dean. Both elbows on the giant table, forehead in his hands. Frustrated by a replay of fluffy-headed nonsense from the original Ruby Apologist, “Alright, alright, alright,” he uses his patented shushing hand to quiet his brother before he can do more damage, eyes still shut for another blissful moment before he’s got to join the conversation, “Look, Dude. I get you have some fond memories there, who wouldn’t? But Buffy’s right. What’s Katherine ever done but go full-on Cujo on us? Huh? No. No, Sammy, we got our own problems now. Long as she doesn’t go floatin’ around, making noise, we got no reason to cross her path, but fat-ass chance of her staying quiet.”
Sam’s complaint catches in his throat and he’s on his feet, pacing away towards the telescope with both fists in his hair. He sighs, turns back to the group and tries not to look like a toddler with his arms folded, “Fine. You’re right, she’s not trustworthy… and I’m not saying she is but she came to me for help. I think. Maybe she just needs to feel like she can come to us if she’s in trouble?”
Caroline sighs, obviously tired. Of the conversation, mostly. She definitely got more sleep when she was human. Her cheek’s resting hard on the edge of her balled-up fist and when she speaks, it’s weakly through a set jaw, “Okay. I don’t love it, but if you think she’s being genuine? We trust your judgement.” she glances around the rest of the group, hoping for some show of support to put an end to a conversation she doesn’t really want to be having, “Don’t we?”
The room falls almost silent at that, no one really wanting to be the first to agree that Katherine Pierce should get the benefit of any doubt. What sounds there are seem nervous. The squeak of the cloth against Giles already clean glasses. Dean loudly clearing his throat. A ‘since when’ look on Castiel’s face that’s almost audible. Sam’s pissy, “Yeah.” is the cherry on top of the silence. He’s not getting anywhere with this group, and he knows it.
“Never fear,” if there’s one thing Xander Harris is good at, it’s putting himself in a situation that might end in a kicking of his ass. It’s a good thing the group in front of him is used to crappy surprises, because in other circumstances? Announcing his presence like a jump scare to a group of tired, jittery superheroes might have ended badly. As it is, the tension and exhaustion is obvious as he makes his way into the middle of the War Room with a clearly unwanted junior Slayer and a pretty little red-headed thing no one’s ever seen before,  “Xander’s…” he’s barely acknowledged. He slows, looks around at a crowd that’s definitely not happy to see them, “… here?” then glances back at his posse with an uninspired, sarcastic shrug, “And you guys were worried we were interrupting something.”
Kennedy, who looks less than enthusiastic to be part of an entourage lead by Xander Harris, shoots the room a look and puts one hand on her hip and a friendly arm around the new girl’s shoulders, “See, Jedi? I told you the Men of Letters were total adults,” it’s sarcasm, but at least it’s a chipper sarcasm.
If confusion could manifest as a person, it would be the new girl in the room. With her huge, innocent eyes and miles of ginger mane, Jedi definitely stands out in the crowd of exhausted hunters. She’s taking things in as calmly as she can, but being in the Men of Letters bunker, for someone with a heightened olfactory sense, is like being in a candle shop. A gross, disgusting candle shop that sells trash-scented candles. It’s sensory overload for someone not used to it. The Slayers smell human, mostly. Like a fight, the dirt in a wet cemetery all being masked by expensive perfume and cigarettes. The hunters, more like booze and gunpowder — all familiar to her.
What’s not familiar? There are corpses in this room. They walk, they talk. They spend too much time on their hair. The group’s vampire-to-everyone-else ratio is actually ridiculously high, and if it weren’t for the fact that there were more than one species of vampire in this room, they’d be easy to pick out just from the scent.
And there’s a demon in there. Sulfur, whiskey and fear. At least one, but demons aren’t something Jedi’s run into, much, and pinpointing exactly what that scent is will likely keep her up, tonight. Xander glances back at her, “You okay, Jed?” she nods, and he goes back to addressing the group, “I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this isn’t great timing, but we kinda have a fire to put out, here.”
If Damon smells a werewolf, he’s not saying anything. Just finds a way to sit closer to Ric and gently elbow his ribs to get him into the game. It works, and when Ric looks up he finds that Caroline and Stefan are sharing a concerned glance, one that makes it’s way towards Dalaric. The vampires look to Angel, standing as far off from the group as he physically can manage without technically being in another room. There seems to be a consensus among the undead — vampires and werewolves aren’t a great mix on a good day, but with everything going on with Katherine and the Hellmouth, now’s not really the time for a strange wolf in the mix.
Dean closes his eyes, pinches the bridge of his nose and winces as Sam tosses him a beer from the other side of the table. He catches it in mid-air, twists it open and motions with it to the newbies in the group, “Who the hell gave him a key?” not that Dean has an issue with Xander, besides hating his guts, but lately it’s starting to feel like they’re running a hotel for the Shadow World.
Heavily, Sam takes the empty seat beside Faith and absently drapes an arm across her back, coupling easily in a way that makes Dean’s stomach turn. She’s not even paying attention, reacts by resting comfortably back against him and finally opening her mouth on the subject, “What are you guys even doing here, anyway? Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you’re lookin’ to get a room for the night? We’re all booked up on crazy, here.”
“See? I told you this was a waste of time – ” Kennedy starts, but Xander’s not having it.
“Look,” he interrupts, folding his arms, “I’m getting we walked into a hornet’s nest, here, but we’ve pretty much got bad coming out the wah-zoo. As the Undead Americans probably already figured out, Jedi’s a werewolf. Thing is, she’s trying to outrun a bigger wolf and we need a place to lay low while we figure out how to take him on.”
Jedi’s attention is taken by Kennedy, who’s still leaning on her, arm around her like they’re friends. If Kennedy seems too calm, it’s because she is. This doesn’t affect her like it affects everyone else and, frankly, she thinks she should get brownie points for bothering to show up. Kennedy rolls her eyes, looks from Dean to Sam, “I seem to remember someone telling us if we ever needed help?”
“Yeah,” Dean’s the one who responds, pushing out of his chair and making his way towards Xander’s group. He’s looking down his nose at them, literally. Chest puffed out. Fucking werewolf. He knew he didn’t like the smell of this whole thing, “Well, that means the Slayers, Buddy. Not you, and not just any old rando demon off the street. How do we know this thing’s even house broken?”
“She’s not a ‘thing‘.” as if Dean doesn’t infuriate Xander on the regular, as it is, “Hey, she’s innocent, okay? She needs help. We do still help people, right?”
“Right,” it’s back to Dean, standing taller in his boots. Shoulders back, in no mood, “People. We help people, Harris. Oh man, do you ever have bad timing.”
“We just lost people,” Buffy slowly makes her way towards the group, Caroline and Willow not far behind. She crosses her arms stiffly and glances over at Willow before continuing, “A Slayer. A couple of hunters. It was wolves, Xand. We were ambushed. I- I know she had nothing to do with it, but this? It’s just a little hard to take right now.”
“I mean, we wanna help?” when Willow finally speaks, there’s a weakness to it. The weight of that loss on her heart is audible in her voice, “We will help, just…”
Sam takes his time standing, prompting Faith with him. It takes them both a few long moments to crowd around the newcomers, shoulder to shoulder. He sighs, “She’s right, we’ll help if we can but Xand, we’re at war right now. I mean, another Hellmouth went active just three hours from here and KC’s rumbling. Now the Clave is pushing us to put up the Lightwoods for a couple of weeks to learn how to control dimensional disruption because Brooklyn’s a full-blown Hellmouth. It’ll be a tight squeeze, but we’ll do what we can do. We just need to be sure having her here’s not putting everyone else in danger.”
“Dude,” Dean sighs it out, “We’re not set up to deal with a werewolf here, okay? Full moon in three days, Sammy! Use your head. You really wanna risk that thing tearing into somebody, huh? Having to put it down?”
She.” Xander’s about in Dean’s face, now. He knows. He knows what’ll happen to him if he throws a punch, but he’s not thinking straight, “Not ‘it’, she and she’s got a name. Jedi.”
Dean sneers, starts advancing on Xander in a way menacing enough that Jedi finally wrestles herself away from Kennedy and practically lunges at Dean, baring human teeth the way you’d expect a wolf to bare theirs. Surprisingly, it’s Faith who slides between the wolf and her brother-in-law, takes one of Jed’s shoulders and spins her back into Xander so hard it almost topples them both, “Whoa! Watch it, Jojo! Anybody’s gonna tear his throat out? Gonna be me.” Faith starts to step back, cautiously, reclaim her place beside Sam like it’s her birthright or something, “You best leash that dog, Harris. Somebody’s gonna get hurt.”
For Jedi, though, it’s not over and as soon as she gets her balance again, she’s headed for Dean. Slow, angry. Out to protect the man who saved her life. Dean’s calm about it, when he reaches for his gun. It’s almost casual if there is such a thing. Before she’s anywhere near him, he raises the weapon, aims it and squeezes off a round – grazes her cheek, “Warning shot, Mama. Next time I don’t miss.” he up-nods in her direction, “Back off, Bitch.”
When the bullet whizzes by, Jedi’s head turns with it. She snaps back, slow and angry, glaring at Dean. She’s bleeding. Long, thin cut on her cheekbone. And her eyes, usually that pale, grey-blue that nobody seems to notice but Xander? Are steeled, angry wolf eyes glowing an intense punch of blue that startles the group and makes everyone take a step back, “I will rip your testicles off,” and there’s a pause, a long beat before Jedi sneers, echoing Dean, “Bitch.” Her claws are out, and that’s werewolf speak for ‘put up or shut up’.
Except, no one’s listening to that warning. Definitely not heeding it because everyone in the room packing heat has their weapon out, sight trained on the new girl.
Sam reaches out to gently touch the back of Faith’s arm like it might calm her down, gun still aimed in the other. He’s about to say something that’ll probably make this a thousand times worse, when Ric pushes through the group and gets between Dean’s gun and Jedi. He puts his hands up, reality suddenly dawning on him and forcing him to realize that Dean might actually shoot him. As if on cue, Damon slithers in between Ric and Dean with a smirk on his face that’s begging his least favorite Winchester to give him a reason to vamp out. Alaric sighs, rests his hand on Damon’s shoulder in hopes of calming the situation, and addresses the crowd, “Okay! Okay, everybody just calm down. She came to us for help. We’ve got food and we’ve got rooms. If someone pulls their trigger, this won’t end well. No one needs to die tonight.”
It’s tense, though. The standoff drags on for another long few seconds until Dean grunts and lowers his gun, a cue for the rest of the group to do the same. Alaric’s clearly relieved, lets out a breath he’d been holding in as Dean stalks off, angrily exiting the room and hell bound for the kitchen.
While the room cools down, Willow tries to smile at Xander, “Well, at least nobody got shot this time? I mean, that’s progress?

Wings of Lost Dreams
Night Vibrance | part I
Tumblr media
Rhysand's sister, Sofiya, and her story, told from my perspective and what I wish happened both while she was alive and an alternative ending where her mother and her don't die. This summary was confusing, I'm sorry,  I hope you understood it though
If you like this new project of mine, leave a little like, reblog and tell me what you thought of it!! As usual, if you wish to be tagged in later chapters, message me or comment!

Sofiya aesthetic
Sofiya sat in her room in the palace atop the mountain, watching dusk fall over her Father's Court through the magical barriers protecting her from the elements. She wished the barriers disappeared. She wanted to feel the wind and snow and cold that she could only get properly while flying, not the balmy, soft atmosphere in the palace.
"Cauldron, Sofiya, you were supposed to be dressed already," her brother reprimanded from the threshold.
"Have you heard of the concept of knocking? Also, the concept of equality of opportunities between siblings?"
"Sofiya, we've discussed this, I cannot change his mind, neither can mum," Rhys said sitting down next to her.
"So you have to keep a reputation because you'll rule, but you can still train at the Camps, yet I can't? Regardless of not being his Heir? That's simply sexist, irrational and extremely infuriating."
"I know, dearest."
"Mother of us all, Rhysand, we repeat this conversation every week. And it ends the same every time," Sofiya said at last.
"Then go get dressed, Sacha.” Cauldron-damned Rhysand using her Illyrian nickname, the one only he and their mother used.
“I don’t want to go play the perfect daughter to a man that barely likes me on a good day, Rhysand.”
“He does like you, he’s just shit at demonstrating it,” Rhys retorted.
“I’m not going.”
“Of course you are, come on, for once in your life don’t be contrary and back down,” Rhysand said, his temper getting to him just a little bit. It was obvious for both of them that even though the High Lord didn’t love his son, he could barely stand Sofiya. And there were not many things Rhys hated more than that fact. She opted for taking her book and reading it instead of answering her brother. “This is not how you fight him, Sacha, this is not how you’re going to end up in the camps.”
“I’m more than capable of reaching my own conclusions and elaborating my own opinions, Rhysand. I’m not 3, I’m 13, and while I understand that’s not very old at all, it’s old enough to know he isn’t letting me go train. However, if he can ignore my existence, I can ignore his and his wishes’.”
“This is going to end so badly, I hope you are aware of that fact.”
“He’ll just keep on loathing me, nothing new,” she answered, her nose still buried in her book.
***
“YOU BETTER BE READY WHEN I OPEN THIS DOOR, SOFIYA,” her mother yelled from the other side of the door.
“I’m not, you can save the scolding already,” she answered as the older Illyrian opened the door.
“Rhys has talked to me, I know your reasoning and arguments. Your father’s feelings are his own, I have nothing to do with them, but I can tell you my own. You are putting that damned dress on and you are accompanying me to the Spring Ball, regardless of your currents feelings towards your father, that’s nothing to do with me, Sof,” her mother admonished,
“You could have tried to sway him,” she responded, taking her hair out of the braid she had used for trained in the morning and started getting ready to bathe, knowing she had already lost.
“No one holds sway over your father but himself, darling. The only person that can convince your father of anything is himself,” her mother said gently.
She lowered herself into the bath, her mother sitting down behind her on the ledge, starting to wash her hair gently. “Why can’t I go train at the camps, then? I always thought you had a say so in this situation.”
“What do you mean?” Her mother's brows were knitted together in confusion.
“Because of what they did to you, I always thought you wouldn’t let me go. Rhysand told me the other day you agree with us, not father. Then why doesn’t he let me go?”
“I- I know you, and I know that you’re smart enough to make your own choices, you have all the information on what it would be, if you decide to go, I wouldn’t stand in your way,” her mother concluded while gently combing through her hair, already dried by the young Fae’s magic. “About your father, I never understood. And know that I’ve asked him, time and time again, why he wouldn’t let you despite having allowed Rhysand. He never answered me.”
“Do you agree with me? In going?”
“I’m not sure yet, I would like him to allow you a week there, to see how well you would fare. But the one point you’re forgetting is that you are not a male, darling, it is always going to be different, and harder, than it was for Rhysand,” her mother said, gently shuffling through her fancier dresses, giving her daughter one. “You have to be ready for that sort of violence. It isn’t just a holiday, this time.”
“I know.” She paused halfway through getting her dress. “But can you convince him?”
“I have never been able to convince him of anything, it is not going to start now,” Sofiya’s face visibly fell. She was incredible at masking her own emotion, despite being so young, but she never felt necessary to keep that pretense around her mother or brother. The kindness had never extended to her father. “Go on, darling, finish up and let’s go. They must be waiting for us upstairs.” “You should be proud of me, though, did you see how quickly I got dressed?”
“I wouldn’t have believed it if I weren’t here,” her mother said with a gentle laugh. “But I’m always proud of you, darling.” Her daughter beamed right back at her as she opened her room’s door.
*** “Hello, Lady,” Lord Helion told her while kissing her knuckles. “What brings you to my family’s humble abode?”
“There’s this stupid ball, you see? And there’s your stupid friend, who happens to be my stupid brother, and I happened to end up here, as a consequence of those factors.”
“Oh, Sofy, I remember when you were just a youngling who hadn’t yet come into your brother’s sarcasm. Good times,” Sofiya laughed out loud for the first time since arriving at the Day Court. Helion was very annoying most of the days but the Day Court and the Night Court had close enough relations that Rhys and he were good friends and he had almost adopted Sofiya as his own sister.
“Shut up, you love my sarcasm and my sarcastic brother,” she fired back with a smirk.
“You know who I love? Your brother’s bat friends.” “I’ve noticed. Which one? The annoying one or the quiet one?”
“Both. Preferably together. Preferably on my bed.” “You do realize I’m thirteen, right?” Sofiya asked him with a laugh. She’d heard it all before, obviously, you don’t grow up with Illyrian warriors without knowing how children are made from too young an age.
“Please, I’m teaching you how to survive through Court politics, sweet cheeks, you have to be used to everything,” Helion murmured back to her in her ear. She simply laughed in his face.
“Maybe you’d be lucky, though. Have you tried?”
“Very domineering, strong mountain men? I wouldn’t stand a chance. I know the Illyrians, hun,” Helion said, his brightness dimming a little bit at the face of prejudice.
“You may know Illyrians in general, but you definitely don’t know those two, then. Try your luck, seriously. I don’t promise shit, but I promise they won’t treat like that.”
“You may be the best little wingwoman I’ve ever had, sweet Lady,” he said with a grin.
“Thank you, dear Lord Helion. Oh, why, hello, Morrigan,” she said as her cousin approached her, flowing red gown dancing around her.
“If you hook me up with her, I’ll be just as thankful,” Helion whispered in her ear with all the discretion he could muster.
“Deal. One of the three,” she murmured back.
“Since when do you have secrets with dear Helion, cousin,” Mor said leaning on the wall next to her.
“He’s just annoying me, I was murmuring back so you wouldn’t share my annoyance. I wasn’t aware you knew him so well, though. You don’t usually attend these disgusting gatherings,” Sofiya told her cousin.
“Rhysand doesn’t usually bring the dogs, either,” she replied.
“Indeed, darling cousin, the whole gang is here tonight it seems,” Sofiya said with a soft laugh. “And to think that I didn’t want to come.”
“Why not? Don’t think the Day Court is good enough for you?” Helion asked with a curved brow.
“I was just tired, that’s all, but your company has obviously dispersed that feeling,” she answered, with all the Court grace she had been taught since birth.
“It obviously did. Now, if you allow me, ladies, I need to have a word with young Tamlin over there,” said Helion, leaving the cousins alone.
“Has your father reconsidered?” Morrigan asked after making sure they were truly alone.
“No. I’m starting to think it is a helpless quest, after all,” she said sipping from her iced tea.
“It isn’t, he’ll see reason, sooner or later,” her cousin replied. “What did he tell you?” “That he was just protecting me. Which is bullshit, I know how they are, I’m more than ready. I mean, even Rhys agrees, that should be a pretty big indicator, right?”

A tale written with fangs and claws || Chapter 10
Chapters: 10/? Fandom: Teen Wolf (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Liam Dunbar/Theo Raeken Characters: Liam Dunbar, Theo Raeken Additional Tags: Alpha Liam Dunbar, Slow Build, Friends to Lovers, Dunbar Pack, Bisexual Liam Dunbar, Werewolf Theo Raeken, Alpha Theo Raeken Series: Part 1 of Morning Dew Pack
Sadie struggles to find her place with Liam and his pack, while Liam tries to be a good Alpha. New dangers arrises, old enemies show up and suddenly an unforeseen person joins the action.
Liam was at the coffee shop Theo was working. He used to spend his time there to work for his classes while Theo often stopped by and made some remarks or just tried to distract Liam on lazy days. The place wasn‘t too crowded, so Liam could enjoy typing on his laptop and finishing an essay without getting disturbed by too much noise. But suddenly his phone chimed with an incoming call and Liam looked up away from his laptop screen to check who it was. His face lit up and he immediately answered the call.
“Scott, hey.“ “Liam, how you’re doing?“ Scott asked with a soft chuckle. “I’m fine, classes are fine and I even managed to increase my GPA.“ After he had spent so much time over his books Liam decided to not let it slide and actually maintain his good grades for once. “Theo’s good too.“ Theo behind the counter peeked up at the mention of his name and Liam mouthed Scott’s name so the chimera knew who he was talking to. Theo nodded and then returned to his work and Liam returned his attention back towards the call. “How are you, Scott?“ “I’m fine too and so are Malia, Lydia, Stiles, and Derek. They told me to greet you.“ Liam smiled. “Greet them back. I miss you guys.“
He did. They were his first pack, he still had his ties to them and he still considered himself Scott’s Beta, own pack or not. “We miss you too. Is everything okay in Seattle? No hunters lately?“ See, since becoming an Alpha the talks with Scott were strange. Liam told him about the hunters, told him about Theo’s poisoning but he left out large bits of the stories. So Scott had no idea about Shana helping for example. He had indeed asked why Liam didn’t call Deaton but Liam had said they managed on their own. Scott knew Liam and Theo hung out with some other werewolves but that about was it. As long as he didn’t get a chance to tell Scott about him becoming an Alpha face to face, he was walking a thin line.
“No hunters lately. But hey, Scott, do you think you could manage some time to visit? It’s been a while since we last saw each other and we should really talk face to face instead of just over the phone.“ Scott stayed silent and Liam heard him shuffling around. “I get you’re busy with saving wolves and your own college life but please?“ He added after a while. “I could come in two months. I have tests and assignments to do but then it gets quieter again. Maybe Malia comes with me, don‘t know yet. But does that sound good? Two months?“ “Two months sound awesome!“ Liam beamed and Theo stepped to the table to refill Liam’s mug. He watched Liam closely but smiled when he saw Liam’s happy expression. “Okay, got to go. See you in two months, Liam.“ “See you then!“
Liam hung up and pumped both fists in the air. “Scott’s coming to town in two months.“ Theo chuckled. “That’s amazing. Enough time for you to figure out how to tell him.“ “I think straightforward would be the best. Just say: Scott, some things have changed. I didn‘t kill anyone but I’m an Alpha now too.“ Theo gave him a skeptical look. It was his nature to be less optimistic than Liam and have some doubts. But then he smiled and squeezed Liam’s shoulder. “Everything will work out okay, puppy.“
“Puppy? That’s cute.“ Both young men turned around and looked at Sadie. Liam smiled brightly. “Sadie, hey!“ He exclaimed happily. They had not talked since she sought him out but they had shared a few smiles and nods when they saw each other around campus. That she initiated a conversation now gave him hope she would lose some of her initial distant mannerism. She extended her hand towards Theo. “Hi, I’m Sadie as you already heard.“ He gave her a wary look but then took her hand to shake it. His nostrils flared. “You were the one who has been in my truck with Liam!“ “Ah, the truck owner. Theo, right? Liam’s roommate.“ “And his anchor.“ Theo added, eyes narrowing slightly. Liam frowned, that wasn’t how Theo usually introduced himself. It took some time until Theo told somebody that. Sadie raised one eyebrow but kept her smile and then Theo had to leave before he could say anything else because he had some customers to serve. He walked back to the counter and Liam pointed at the booth across the table. “Want to have a seat?“ He invited her and Sadie actually followed the invite.
“He doesn’t like me.“ She stated. “Who? Theo? Nah, he’s a bit distant in the beginning but he will come around.“ She didn’t seem so sure oft hat and just gave him a look. Liam shrugged. “Theo is a great friend and great to be around. He just needs some time to warm up to people. Understandable if you take into account what he went through.“ “Oh, look, it goes both ways.“ She muttered and then drank her coffee. Liam looked confused. “What goes both ways?“ “Nothing.“ Sadie said and her red-painted lips curved into a smile. Liam was still confused but then decided not to dwell on that and latch in an easy conversation with her.
Maya entered the coffee shop a while after and walked towards the counter. Only a few customer sat at the tables and aside from that it was all very slow. So Theo had time to glare. Maya stepped to him and followed his line of sight to where Liam and Sadie sat and still talked. “I would order a coffee but I’m scared the milk turns sour by the force of your glare. Who stole your bowl of sunshine this morning, thundercloud?“ Theo never stopped glaring daggers at the blonde. “He told me he talked to a werewolf girl he met and they waited in my truck until it stopped raining. He didn‘t tell me how pretty she was.“ He growled and Maya raised both eyebrows and really tried to stifle her delighted chuckle. “You’re really jealous this time, huh? I thought it had been bad when Liam and I joked around about getting married but damn, this time takes the cake, huh?“ “He beamed at her! He fucking beamed at her when she greeted him. No, not greeted, she just involved herself in our conversation which rude!“ Maya could not help and laugh before looking over. “She’s pretty, I agree with that. Liam has a thing for green eyes, huh?“ Theo growled again. “How do you know she has green eyes?“ “I saw her around. She is very involved in the college newspaper and various other activities. We never talked but I saw her.“ “Oh, so you have a crush on her too?“ Theo snapped sarcastically.
He looked at the still taking pair and sighed gravely. “Their kids would be insanely pretty.“ Maya’s head snapped around and she stared at him. “Did you smoke something?“ She asked irritated. “You know I’m right. They both are gorgeous and Liam as dad would be amazing to see.“ She still stared at him as if he had grown a second head. “They are literally just talking. But, damn boy, you got it bad for him.“ She smirked. “Time for me to meet her! She made the great Theo Raeken doubt himself. I have to meet her.“
Thus she turned around and walked over to Liam and Sadie. “Hey there.“ Liam smiled. “Hey, Maya.“ He greeted his Beta and she slipped next to him and grinned over to Theo who still glared or rather looked quite betrayed right now. „You are Maya Duncan, you organized the equality march back then in March.“ Sadie remembered and Maya nodded. “I was one of the organizers but yeah. Did you walk with us?“ “Of course I did. I’m a strong believer in equality and feminism. Every woman should have the same rights as men and every woman should be able to decide how she wants to dress. The social standards are impossible to achieve and we have to work on that to make every woman feel cherished and like the queen she really is.“ “My opinions exactly!“ Maya enthusiastically exclaimed and both women latched into a discussion about the various problems and hardships coming with this opinion. Liam slowly inched away and sneaked away to Theo.
“What just happened?“ The chimera asked irritatedly and with a frown while he watched the still talking girls. “I’m pretty sure that’s how it looks when one queen befriends another.“ Liam shared his opinion of the whole encounter. Theo sighed. So he had lost Maya too, great.
Liam picked up on his friend’s dark mood. “You okay? You look kind of down.“ “I…Yeah, I’m okay.“ “You sure?“ “Liam!“ Theo snapped and when Liam took a step back, his tone softened. “Stop worrying, okay? I’m fine.“ But Liam, stubborn to his very core, shook his head. “You’re not fine and I hate when you lie to me.“ “Just drop it, Dunbar, it’s nothing.“ Liam opened his arms. “Hug?“ He asked. Theo glared at him but then sighed and actually hugged Liam. They both didn’t realize Maya and Sadie were watching them.
“Liam said they’re not but come on, they are dating, right?“ The blonde asked and Maya snorted. “No, they’re not and please don‘t ask me why. I cannot give you a reason except for they’re both idiots.“ “Idiots who are head over heels for each other.“ “I like you, Sadie, you know?“ She looked back at Maya and grinned.
***** Sadie met with them several times after that. It was nice to have her around, she was still a bit distant but she was warming up to them and Liam counted this as a win. Maya and her got along pretty well and if someone had asked him, Liam had immediately testified that these two could take over the world if they wanted. They were complete opposites, Sadie being into fashion and makeup while Maya was all about being natural and needed her clothes to be comfortable and suitable, but they were both power women.  Liam himself tried to help Sadie with her anger issues, as good as she let him help her that’s it, and the two of them got along pretty well too. The only person who obviously didn’t get along with the blonde was Theo. He rarely talked to her and made no pretense about him not liking her. These two were like cat and dog and Liam felt like pulling his hair. He was used to Theo being sarcastic but when Sadie was around, he turned downright mean and borderline rude. And Sadie tried, she tried to be nice to him, but it didn’t bring any success. Liam saw her face fall every time Theo simply shut her down and she grew more distant again. It was frustrating to watch his and Maya’s work to get destroyed because of Theo’s temper or whatever this was.
Liam, Maya, and Sadie entered the coffee shop and made their way directly to the counter since nobody was there at the moment. Theo smiled. “Hey, Maya, hey, Liam.” And then he spotted Sadie and his smile vanquished. “Oh. hi.” Liam rolled his eyes and sighed. Maya muttered “Oh boy.” behind him and Liam could relate to that on a spiritual level. This was getting ridiculous.
And it only got worse. As time progressed, Theo seemed to downright hate Sadie’s guts. Whatever she did, nothing coaxed a positive reaction from the chimera and after Liam had scolded him for his snide remarks, Theo had sighed but then went on just glaring at Sadie instead of snapping. Only when she spoke to him, he talked to her too and his tone was as snappy as it could be.
Sadie had come and brought coffee for all of them and Theo hands-down told her he was trying to tone down his coffee intake. Liam and Maya had gaped at him because that was so far from the truth and Sadie had sighed. “Oh, okay.” She said sadly and sipped her own coffee. And Liam could not handle it anymore.
He got up from his seat. “Be right back!” He announced and then yanked Theo from his chair as well, pulling him behind him and right into the bathroom. Turning on the faucet so they could talk in peace and without the girls overhearing them he glared at the other.
“What the hell is your problem?” He barked at Theo, eyes flashing red because he was pissed off, and the chimera looked flabbergasted for a moment, then his face darkened. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” “Cut the crap! What is your problem with Sadie? She did nothing to you and she is already distant enough. Maya and I work on a good friendship and then you come along and push her away again.” “Okay, listen, I don’t have to like her. She doesn’t want to be part of the pack, she said this more often than not, so just because she’s hanging around doesn’t mean we have to be friends.” “Yes, you have to be! Because I don’t see why not. She never did anything!” “Liam, just because you have a crush on her, she doesn’t have to become my best friend!” Theo snarked.
Liam stared at Theo for several moments, brain slowly progressing what he just heard. And then his hand shot up and forcefully shoved Theo back with his palm against the chimera’s forehead. Theo hissed and held his forehead. “Ouch! What the hell, Liam?” Liam glared at him and growled. “How can you believe I have a crush on her and use that as an excuse to be mean to her. What? Think I will exchange you with her?” Theo stayed silent at that and Liam growled. “You are a gigantic idiot, Theodore!” “You are always happy when she comes around. You beam at her and all.” Theo actually whined and he hated himself for it but he could not help himself. Liam rolled his eyes. “I am happy because she follows my invitation and that means she trusts us. She is all alone and doesn’t want a pack but nobody should be alone. I hope she let us help her and she’s slowly coming around. But you’re actively trying to push her away again. Theo, no matter what she does or says, Sadie is thousand percent not my type and I have no motivation to replace one of my closest friends and my anchor with her. But she could use some friends and I really like her. As a friend. So stop being...whatever the hell it is you are, jealous or whatever, and actually talk to her. Because I am pretty sure the two of you will get along just great. She reads many books you also like. Start with that.” Theo sighed but nodded. “Okay, fine. Maybe I was a bit unfair.” Liam raised both eyebrows. “Maybe? A bit?” Theo just huffed, too proud and too stubborn to say anything else.
There was a knock on the door and it slowly opened to reveal Maya with one hand covering her eyes. “Are you dressed enough so I can look at you or did you finally give in to the sexual tension?” She asked and peeked through her fingers when she didn’t get an answer. “Oh, you’re fully dressed. That’s oddly disappointing.” “Anything we can help you with?” Liam asked and he knew full well he was blushing.  Maya smirked. “We thought about going to check out the newest Thai place. Want to come with us?” She asked.
Theo and Liam shared a look. “Sounds good.” The oldest of the group then decided and left the bathroom with Liam. Sadie waited patiently for them to gather their wallets and jackets and then they were ready to go. The place wasn’t that far away and not as crowded as they thought it would be. They found a table easily and could order relatively fast. And while they waited for their food, Theo actually made an attempt to talk to Sadie. And lo and behold, the two of them actually could have a decent conversation. Maya leaned over to Liam. “Told him he doesn’t have to be jealous, huh?” “Was he really jealous?” Liam asked and Maya looked at him with a pitiful look. “Aw, Liam, you being so oblivious is cute sometimes, really. He was seething with jealousy. You’re his Liam after all.” She patted his cheek and snickered. Liam simply scrunched his nose but didn’t question any further. He was happy the four of them finally seemed to get along just great.
****** And despite Sadie finally getting along with Liam and his Betas, she was still determined not to be part of their pack and stressed this quite often. “I hang out with you because you are the only weres I know around and you’re pretty decent but I’m not part of the pack.” She said every time.
“I don‘t know why she doesn‘t want it. We all are stronger in a pack.“ Maya thought out loud while she and the boys were out for a jog. “Maybe she made bad experiences with the pack life. Or she’s simply not a pack animal.“ Theo chimed in. “Somebody else said that too about himself and now he’s the first Beta.“ Liam muttered and Theo looked at him. “I had a valid reason to join the pack.“ “Really? What reason?“ Liam joked. “You.“ Theo said simply. “You became the Alpha and with that, I had a very valid reason to join. You‘re my anchor and my friend after all.“ “You guys are sickeningly sweet sometimes.“ Maya mumbled and picked up her pace. Soon enough Theo was next to her. She was still working on controlling her wolf, still a bit hesitant, so he was still faster than her. And then Liam raced past them.
“Show off!“ Both Betas called out and the Alpha spun around, grinned brightly, and jogged backward. “No, that is showing off.“ He corrected. “Come on, both of you, you can go faster.“ “And there he is again, the drillmaster.“ Theo mocked and Liam fake-glared at him. “Just because you are not fast enough, Theodore, doesn‘t mean I’m a drillmaster. Come on, a bit of running won‘t hurt you. Don‘t want you to get fat, right?“ He mocked. Theo raised an eyebrow and pulled the hem of his shirt up to reveal his abs. “Suck my dick, Dunbar, there isn’t the slightest bit of fat anywhere near.“
Liam was momentarily distracted by the display, stumbled and actually fell flat on his ass. Maya and Theo started laughing and Liam looked up at them from where he sat on the ground and then he started laughing too. His own fault! “Serves you right for showing off!“ Theo said without any pity and Liam stuck out his tongue at him.
“Did you see that? Our Alpha’s getting cheeky.“ Maya said with a shake of her head. “Guess we have to teach him to respect his Betas, huh?“ Theo jumped on that bandwagon. Liam snickered. “Think you can take me? Both of you?“ They nodded and his eyes flashed red while he smirked. He jumped to his feet. “Then bring it on!“ He said and started running. Immediately both Betas went chase.
Liam wasn‘t running at full speed by far right now, he wanted to give them a bit of advantage and so he just made several turns and ran zigzag to avoid getting caught until they both finally got him and tackled him to the ground. All three fell while play-wrestling and laughing all the while. They finally pulled away and just laughed their asses off. None of them noticed Sadie watching them from afar with a longing look on her face.
****** Going snack shopping on a full moon when you were a college student on a budget was probably not the best idea, Liam pondered while he dropped the various bags in the shopping basket. But he as Alpha was the provider and since they would gather at Maya’s shed tonight again, he wanted to have snacks at least. Not for Maya, she would probably suffocate on them during the full moon, but maybe after that, she would like some candy to feel better. Sadie had said she would take care of the full moon herself and Liam had told her where the pack would gather but left it open if she wanted to come or not. The young Alpha wished she would come but he strongly suspected she would stay away.
Liam carried the basket to the cash register and paid for everything and then left the grocery store. He checked his watch. Not long and the moon would be up in the sky. It would not take long to walk from the grocery store to the shed and so Liam shouldered the bag and started walking.
He had managed half of the way when he noticed a scooter on the street and a girl sitting next to it on the sidewalk, crying and mumbling angrily. When he came closer, he smelled the unmistakable scent. “Sadie?“ Her head snapped up and she looked at him frantically. “What are you doing here, Liam?“ “The shed Maya rented is around here. What about you? Did your scooter break down?“ She kicked the front tire with her foot. “Stupid thing. I need it for one night and it stops working. Such a stupid, shitty thing.“ “Where do you have to go that you need it so badly?“ Liam inquired and the scent of panic hit his nose. He frowned. “Sadie? What‘s going on?“
She whimpered and the moon raised up in the sky. “I need…I need to hide! Need my chains.“ She gritted out and Liam blinked. It took him a moment but then he realized. “You don‘t have control.“ “I’m a born werewolf with IED. What do you think?“ She snapped and her eyes glowed gold. “Okay, come on, get up!“ Liam said and took her arm to pull her to her feet. “I know where we can go. Come on, don’t waste time.“ Once he had her on her feet, he pulled her along, not caring about her protests. He felt her shaking and with every minute she whimpered louder, her wolf clawing at her insides to take over.
They reached the shed finally and Liam tore the door open. Inside were Maya and Theo, latter chaining her up, and they both looked up when he stumbled inside. “No time to explain, help me chain her up!“ Liam told Theo and the twenty-one-year-old wasted no time to aid Liam. Sadie was struggling against their holds and when the moon appeared high in the sky Maya started growling and hissing too, pulling at her chains. Sadie’s resistance only grew and she lunged at them, tried to grab them with her claws and hurt them, wolf wild and untamed.
Both females were edging each other on and since Theo had stopped chaining Maya up, one of her arms was free and she also lunged at them. It was pure chaos and Liam and Theo struggled to keep them still. Sadie managed to escape their hold once and lunged at the other wild wolf in sight. It took a literal tackle into the wall from Liam to keep the two young women apart and make sure they didn’t kill each other. „STOP IT!“ He roared at Sadie, eyes glowing as red as they could be, and she whined, cowering for a moment before her wolf decided to riot against the Alpha. She tried to grab any part of Maya she could reach and since the shed wasn‘t that big, she almost managed again. Liam saw no other chance than to hit her on the head and knock her out. She slumped to the ground but at least she wasn’t causing any more harm.
And then he turned around to help Theo with Maya. Only to watch one oft he most horrific scenes he would ever see. See, Liam was used to a lot of horrible things and he was no stranger to blood and broken bones. But seeing Maya scratch a clawed hand over Theo’s throat and the blood seep from the claw marks made his stomach twist. Liam jumped, yanking Maya away from his friend and knocked her out too.
“Hey. Hey, Theo, are you okay?“ Liam worriedly asked, hand coming up to press against Theo’s injury. “It’s okay, they’re not that deep.“ Theo said but he was pale and staggered back before Liam grabbed him and slowly lowered him to the ground so Theo could lean against the wall of the shed. Liam checked the cuts slowly. Theo was right, they weren’t deep but there was blood and Liam took a tissue to softly wipe the blood away and press it against the wound. When it finally stopped bleeding, he checked again and then looked at Theo. “How are you feeling?” He inquired and Theo barked out a dry laugh and then hissed because that hurt.
“Peachy. But I will manage. I survived worse things than this.” Liam smiled weakly and sat next to Theo, also leaning against the wall. He watched the two girls. “I came across her by accident. When I asked her if she wanted to join us earlier, she said she had everything under control. I don’t know why she lied.” He shook his head. “Liam, she obviously is afraid to join a pack, to belong. I don’t know why but she must have made some very bad experiences. Somehow I get why she lied.” Theo said with a soft shrug. Liam looked at him. Seemed like they still had a long way to go with the blonde werewolf.
****** Liam raised his head and looked around the shed. Maya was still lying on the ground, seemingly asleep; and Sadie was also curled into a ball as good as she could. Theo still sat next to him, head on Liam’s shoulder, and still asleep too. Liam carefully sat up to not disturb Theo too much. He checked Theo’s throat. It had completely healed overnight and he smiled softly before pressing a chaste kiss on the chimera’s forehead.
A groan from Sadie made him look up. She moved and when she found herself restrained and in a strange environment, she whimpered. Liam moved Theo away from his shoulder so he could move over to her and kneel in front of her. “Hey, Sadie, everything’s okay, you’re safe.” He told her in a calm voice. She looked at him and then looked down, biting her lips. The scent of shame was rolling off her. “Sadie, hey, it’s okay. You don’t have to feel ashamed.”  The blonde raised her head again, tears glistening in the corner of her eyes. “Easy for you to say.” She said and tried to move a hand but the chains restrained her. Liam helped her get them all off and then sat cross-legged in front of her.
“Why did you lie when I asked if you got everything handled during a full moon?” He finally asked her. Sadie leaned against the wall and shook her head. “Liam, I’m not the most open person. Thought we already established that. And I don’t want you to pity me.” “We would have not pitied you but helped you. Look, Sadie, I know how it is to lose control, okay? I know how hard it is. Why do you think we’re here? We’re helping each other.” “Yeah, the pack members always help each other. But, as already established, I’m not pack.”
Liam sighed and stood up, extending his hand towards her. “Want to go for a walk?” He asked and she grabbed his hand and let him pull her to her feet. They left the shed together and started walking slowly, around the garden.
“Sadie, why don’t you want a pack?” He had wanted to ask this since their first talk.  She wrapped her arms around herself. “Because a pack judges you.” When she noticed Liam’s confused look, she elaborated. “While growing up I was always the wild child, the pirate princess instead of the normal princess. Talking pink princess's dress and boots here. As a kid, everybody thought it was kind of cute. But then I grew older and I still had this untamed temper, they started to give a sniff at that.” Sadie took a breath. “And then I was diagnosed with IED and the judgment started. I actually overheard other members of the pack tell my parents how sorry they were that their daughter wasn’t normal. When we were out and gathering with the pack I saw the stares. My parents tried to help me, they don’t deserve people judging them for their broken daughter.”
Liam had experienced the judging himself so he could relate to Sadie. She continued. “Seattle was supposed to be my clean slate, my fresh start.Where nobody could judge me. It’s bad enough when I come home but I can ignore this. Nobody knows me here, that’s why I saw this as a new beginning.”
“Sadie, do you really think any of us would judge you? Look at us. Maya was deadly afraid of her wolf, to the point she broke her own bones to stop the shift. Theo has done a lot of bad things in his life but he redeemed himself. And me? I’m constantly fighting for control, to be honest, I have anger management issues as well and I made some pretty bad mistakes in my life too. And you really think we would be the ones to judge you? And I get the clean slate. Do you know why I decided on Seattle? Because it was away from Beacon Hills. I knew that I could really be my own person here and not just the Baby Beta. I could figure out who I really am without anybody always patronizing me or saying I’m cute or something.”
She hesitated to answer. “I just don’t think I would be good as a member of your pack.” Sadie suddenly confessed. They stayed silent for a while until she sighed. “Can I go now?” “Of course. You can always come and go as you please.” Liam replied and she walked away without looking back.
Liam sighed and ran a hand through his hair before returning back to the shed. Maya and Theo had woken up and Theo was unchaining her. “What’s with Sadie?” Theo of all people asked and Liam knelt next to him and helped to free Maya.  “She told me why she doesn’t want to be a part of the pack and I understand her. I still think she’s not good as omega.” He told his Betas and ran a hand through his hair again, a clear sign he was frustrated.  “In the end, she has to come and actively ask for becoming a member. If she doesn’t, we have to accept it.” Maya said and rubbed her wrist. Liam sighed and ran his hand through his hair once more before grimacing. He needed a haircut.
****** "What about going to the movies? It’s so long since I’ve been there.” Maya suggested while her and Theo and Liam walked towards Theo’s truck. The two had picked up Liam after Lacrosse practice and were now discussing what to do with the evening.  “Going to the movies sounds good to me. What about you, Liam?” Theo agreed with Maya. Liam was about to answer but suddenly a rotten smell hit his nose and he stopped dead in his tracks. His senses went into overdrive and he listened for any unfamiliar sound. “Liam?” Theo asked but Liam raised his hand, indicating that he needed to hear. And then he heard the faint sounds of fighting and howling. His eyes flashed red and he dropped his bag in the truck bed.
“Come with me!” He ordered his Betas and then started running. Theo and Maya shortly behind them. Their way led to the library on campus and when Liam tore the door open, he saw a girl on the ground, shielding her head from any danger, visibly shaking with fear. In front of her stood Sadie, fangs bared and eyes glowing, while she was desperately trying to stop another girl with bared fangs and blazing white eyes, to get to the girl on the ground. A wendigo, Liam noticed, Sadie was fighting a wendigo.
“Maya, get the girl out!” Liam ordered while his own fangs came out. Maya brushed past him, grabbed the only human in the round, and pulled her to her feet. She dragged her to the door of the library and pushed her out. “Run!” She called out and the girl did what she had been told. She turned around and ran away with a scream.
Liam roared at the wendigo and the girl’s head spun around to face him. Theo roared too and stepped next to Liam, as well as Maya just a second later. The wendigo knew she was outnumbered and hissed before shoving Sadie away and pulling a clawed hand over her face. Sadie fell to the ground and the wendigo ran in the opposite direction. Liam immediately went to Sadie. “Follow her!” He told his Betas and they both chased after the wendigo girl.
“Sadie, are you okay?” Liam cradled her in his arms because she was shaking and moving around. The cuts on her face were bleeding but they were not lethal.  “What was that?” She asked, out of breath and shaken up from the encounter.  “What was that?” The blonde werewolf shrieked again.  “That was a wendigo.” Liam explained and she grabbed his arms in a painful grip. “I know what that was! She suddenly jumped the girl and I had to interfere! I could not let her kill the girl. But, Liam...” She shook him. “I never used my wolf to help people! Not once! What was that?”
Liam stared at Sadie, a little bit lost how he should handle the obvious breakdown. “Sadie, calm down.” He finally said and freed himself from her grasp to pull her into a hug. “You did something great, you helped an innocent person. That’s amazing.” He mumbled while stroking her hair. Sadie was still muffling and crying.  Sadie was still shaking but then she pushed him away and jumped to her feet just when Theo and Maya appeared again. “We lost her.” Maya snarled, pissed by that. Liam ignored her for now and focused on Sadie who was still breaking down. “I never helped anybody! I never got involved!” “Well, sweetheart, then you hang with the wrong crowd.” Theo’s calculating voice rang through. “Because we get involved, it’s what we do. So if you don’t want to get involved, I suggest you stop hanging out with us as hard as this sounds. Because we get involved and we save lives, as many as we can. You just did that too but if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. It’s okay, nobody will judge you.”
It what Theo’s usual calculated and logical way of thinking and Liam felt himself agreeing with it. As usual, it brought him peace too, made him feel calmer than before. Theo was brutally honest in times like this but he was having a point. He liked having Sadie around but their pack got involved and they wanted to get involved, so if she wanted to stay she had to get used to it. But it seemed like she was way too overwhelmed by now. She stared at Theo, mouth opening and closing without a word coming out, and then she spun around and ran away.  “Should we follow her?” Maya asked but Liam shook his head. “Let her go, she has a lot on her mind now.” “And what are we going to do now?” Maya looked at her Alpha. “We keep our eyes open. A wendigo on the loose is a recipe for disaster.”
****** Having a wendigo kept them occupied but days after the fight there was no sign of the cannibal and yet the pack was ready to interfere if needed. Sadie dropped off the face of the earth, claiming she was sick or whatever and Liam figured it was part of her figuring out where she stood. He let her, he had other things to worry about at the moment. Sadie’s identity crisis could be solved later, now he needed to find a wendigo as well as find out who poisoned the punch at the party. The latter was still on his list and Maya seemed to have made progress in that one. She showed up at the apartment with some gossip about a dealer who sold wolfsbane as a new cool drug to students. It wasn’t much, but maybe it was exactly what they were looking for.
And so Liam found himself in the industrial area where he as well as Maya and Theo searched for the storage room of said dealer.  “I said it once and I’ll gladly say it again. Why can’t we go to places with better lighting?” Theo said and looked around, the narrow streets between containers and storage rooms.  “Because you won’t find a drug dealer laboratory within a bright and sunny park.” Liam replied and Theo just huffed. “Smartass.”
Liam grinned and followed the instructions Maya had been given. “Number 47, that’s here.” He pointed at a door and looked over his shoulders. “Ready?” He asked and Theo answered by extracting his claws. Maya bared her fangs, battle ready. Liam listened for any sounds but nothing came and so he opened the door, claws already out.
The room was empty and dimly lit and it was hard to see anything at first. Their eyes needed to get used to the light inside the storage room and when they did, they found a few covered boxes. Liam walked in and tore the cover off. “They are all empty.” He realized.
“Those here are empty as well.” Theo announced from the other side of the cubicle.
Right after that, the door slammed shut behind them and they all spun around. “No!” Liam called out and ran to the door, trying to open it again. It didn’t budge, no matter how hard Liam pulled at it, Alpha strength or not. Theo and Maya were at his side, tearing at the door too, but even with three supernatural creatures, the door stayed close. And then Liam heard the sizzling. He looked around and saw the purple vapor flowing from the air shaft into the storage room. His eyes widened in shock.
“That’s wolfsbane! We need to get out here!” He alerted his Betas and they only pulled more desperately at the door. A second air shaft let even more vapor into the room and since it wasn’t big to begin with, the place soon filled with the purple dust. They all started coughing and even though they tried to hold their breath, they soon coughed again. Pulling at the door was getting harder with the wolfsbane affecting them and then a third air shaft, right above them, opened and vapor flowed down on them, making them cough even harder.
Maya was pounding on the door with both hands and yelling for help, Theo was still trying to open the door, just like Liam. But the chimera went down first, falling to his knees and coughing violently. Maya was next, sliding down until she was cowering, and Liam tried to pull them both up but he failed and found himself on the floor too. His vision started to get blurry and it felt harder and harder to breathe. The vapor was crawling down his throat, into his lungs, and made them seize up, desperate for air.  This was how they were going to die and Liam had no idea how long it would take or how more painful it would become. He felt sorry for his Betas, seeing them on the floor and desperately gasping for air, and he felt himself wishing they had another chance. He would gladly die if that meant Maya and Theo got another chance.
Black dots were dancing in front of his eyes and Liam fell sideways, subconsciously reaching for Theo and for Maya when he suddenly heard a thud outside, metal grating on metal and then the door was wrenched open. Inside the doorframe stood a dark figure, it was too bright outside to make out more than the outlines, who grabbed Maya, the closest to the door and pulled her outside. Liam struggled to his feet, mobilizing the last bit of power he had, grabbed Theo and more or less pushed him out before a hand grabbed his arms and yanked him outside the storage room as well.
Liam fell to the ground when he could breathe again, busily taking in the fresh air, and then he raised his head. Sadie slammed the door shut again to keep the vapor from emerging and looked at the three of them. They all were still gasping for air, wheezing and filling their lungs with fresh air.
“Oh my god, are you guys relatively okay?” Sadie asked and kneeled between Maya and Liam. Both nodded, too breathless to really speak, and Sadie went to dot on Theo when she was sure the two others were recovering. Theo was on all fours, still trying to get air in his lungs, before falling to one side. His breath rattle and sounded so off, Liam’s heart skipped a beat. While he and Maya were getting better, Theo still coughed and seemed to not be able to breathe at all. And that’s when it hit Liam.
“He suffered asthma before he got turned into a chimera!” He yelled and searched his pockets frantically. He finally found what he had been looking for and stumbled over to Theo. “Here, Theo! Take the inhaler! Take it!” He said and pressed the inhaler into Theo’s hand and closed the chimera’s fingers around it. Theo was shivering when he shook it and raised it to his lips. Liam only let out a breath himself when he heard the older man inhale two times. And slowly Theo’s breathing returned to normal and he could breathe again.
“Why do you have an inhaler?” Sadie asked. “Yeah, good question. Why do you have an inhaler?” Theo panted, still out of breath, while Maya rubbed his back. Liam shrugged. “I know you had asthma before you got turned into a chimera. I experienced it with Scott that his asthma got triggered by several things and he needed his inhaler even though his asthma was healed by the bite. But he had his inhaler. I know you don’t use one so I made a point of always having one with me.”  He looked sheepishly when everyone stared at him. “What? Is that creepy?” “Dedication, that’s what I’d call that.” Sadie said approvingly.  Theo looked down at the inhaler in his hand, then back at Liam. “You saved my life.” He said and smiled softly. Liam returned the smile. “Just like you did countless of times.” He patted Theo’s shoulder. “Come on, let’s get outta here.”
They all got to their feet but when they wanted to walk away, they heard the telltale sound of a gun and were suddenly faced with one of the hunters that had attacked them at the park. He pointed a machine-gun at them, ready to shoot.”You’re going nowhere.” He snarled. “Really? We’re four against one, I already knocked out your hunter buddy.” Sadie snarled back and growled.  He moved the gun slightly and the laser from the targeting device wandered over Liam’s chest to his forehead. “You maybe werewolves but how good can you survive with a bullet in your head?” The hunter mocked them. “One wrong move from any of you and I’ll splatter your Alpha’s brain all over the place.”  Liam heard Theo growl but he made no move towards the hunter. Too risky that he would make true of his words and pull the trigger. The young Alpha raised both hands in surrender. “What do you want us to do?” He asked, trying to keep the situation calm. He wasn’t keen on having a bullet in his brain, so he tried to gain time. “Get back in the room with the wolfsbane! All four of you!” He demanded and Liam took a step back, the Beta werewolves following. “Okay, we’re going.” Liam said. “You all go inside and close the door. You won’t leave this place alive again!”
He looked at them, eyes filled with disgust and hatred. The wolves looked at him, debating on if they should follow or try to get out as fast as possible. But none of them would be as fast to reach him before he pulled the trigger.
But suddenly the guy was flung to the side, collided head first with the wall, and collapsed in a heap, gun slithering over the floor.  A tall guy in Theo’s age, stood behind the hunter, a grim smile on his face while he looked down at the motionless human before he looked at the werewolves in front of him. He pointed at the hunter.
“That looked like you needed help.” He announced, blue eyes sparkling in amusement at their dumbfounded expressions before glowing gold for a moment. He put his hands in the pockets of his military jacket and grinned, and Liam raked his eyes over the other’s body. He was attractive, even his adrenaline flooded brain got that, dressed in light blue jeans, beige converse, and a white t-shirt. And not only was he attractive but familiar, even though Liam only saw him in pictures.
“You’re...” He began, “Isaac? Isaac Lahey?” Theo said at the same moment.  Isaac grinned. “Theo, long time no see.” He looked at Liam. “And you’re Scott’s first bitten Beta. You’re Liam.” The young Alpha nodded flabbergasted. “Uhm, yeah, though I’m not a Beta anymore.” He said and flashed his eyes. It was literally the only thing his brain supplied at the moment.
The confusion only grew when Nolan suddenly peeked up from behind Isaac. “Hey, guys!” “Nolan??” Theo and Liam called out at the same time.  “Okay, explain!” Theo demanded and Nolan stepped next to Isaac, casting a look at the hunter. “Maybe we should take this somewhere else.” He suggested then and Liam had to agree.
“Come on, guys.” Isaac was the first to turn around and start walking and the rest of the group followed. Not soon after they all found themselves at Theo’s and Liam’s apartment, minus Sadie who had said she needed to take care of something. Liam looked at Theo and Isaac. “You were in the same grade back then, right?” Because Isaac was Scott’s grade and so was Theo, so it was only logical they knew each other too, right? Both nodded. “Our siblings were pretty good friends actually.” Theo said and Isaac chuckled. “I’m pretty sure Tara was Cam’s first kiss as little kids.” Theo made a face. “That’s...strange to think about.”
“Okay, and how do you guys know each other?” Liam inquired further and pointed at Nolan and Isaac. Nolan blew his tea to cool it down a notch.  “Remember I told you that I could maybe move in with someone here in Seattle? Well, when I had my internship at Belgium I met Isaac and we started talking. When I told him where I came it didn’t take long for us to figure out how intertwined our friends and all were and we talked about all kind of things. So, here I am, about to really move in with Isaac and we overheard the hunters talking about a group of weres they wanted to take down. Naturally, we followed.”
“When I left Beacon Hills I went to France with Chris Argent. I finished school there and then found a company who offered me a position linked with scholastics. I accepted and that’s how I found myself in Belgium since a new facility of the company opened there. Nolan had the internship at a partner corp and after I found out he came from Beacon Hills and knew Scott and the others we talked about everything. I had some talks with Argent every now and then but he didn’t give me weekly updates, so I missed large parts of the whole drama. What I know is that Scott got himself a Beta and that a pseudo-supernatural being, namely a chimera, had tried to kill Scott and take over his pack before redeeming himself. Did I sum that up correctly?”
Liam and Theo nodded. “Wait, so you met each other or you met each other?” Theo suddenly asked and Nolan blushed at the implication. “No, no, Isaac’s like an older brother to me. It’s nice having someone to talk to and help me.” He studdered and Isaac chuckled.  “Nolan reminds me a lot of myself. Like a little brother. It’s nice to give someone guidance and advice, actually.” Theo laughed. “Yeah, these young ones need all the advice they can get from us.” He mocked and Liam gasped in fake-annoyance and hit his stomach with the back of his hand. Theo gasped at the punch and shoved Liam away. “Fucking asshole!” Liam laughed. “Love you too.”
****** They stayed up and talked the whole night. In the early morning hours Theo, Liam, and Isaac found themselves in the kitchen while Nolan and Maya slept on the couch. “Does Scott know that his Beta is an Alpha now?” Isaac asked while pouring milk into his coffee. Liam shook his head. “Please, don’t tell him.” “Relax, I haven’t talked to Scott in years. After everything, after Derek lost his Alpha spark again and all the jazz, I became kind of a member of Scott’s pack but then I fell for Allison and it brought tension between Scott and me. Yeah, and then she died and I left. I couldn’t stay in this town any longer. That’s my story with the McCall pack. The shortened version.” He shrugged and sipped his coffee.  “I take a guess and say nobody knows you’re back in the States?” Theo said. Isaac shrugged. “Don’t think so. I have to travel a lot for my job, that’s why I asked Nolan if he wanted to share the apartment with me. I need someone to live there all the months I will be gone. It benefits us both.”
“Makes sense.” Liam said and drank his coffee when there were several loud knocks at the door. Theo frowned after checking the clock and then went to answer the door. He had just opened it when Sadie swooshed past him and into the apartment. “Yeah, come in.” Theo muttered dryly and closed the door.
“I could not sleep the entire night and thought about this over and over again. I just had to come here!” Sadie started without paying attention to Theo. “I thought about the wendigo and the hunters almost killing you and then all of us and I just could not ignore it.”
“Are those dancing marshmallows and dancing mugs filled with hot chocolate on your pajama pants?” Nolan asked and rubbed his eyes. He and Maya had been woken up by the sudden noise.
“My dancing cocoa and marshmallow pants are epic, okay? Because even when I’m sleeping, I have to slay.” Sadie told him and then went on to explain further. Liam grinned. Sadie was indeed still wearing pajamas, the cute pants and a light pink shirt. Then he tuned in again what she was saying. “I never helped anyone while using my wolf and I never cared so much about anyone except my parents. But it felt nice to help the girl and when I saw you following a clue and I feared you might get in trouble I could not ignore it. So I followed you yesterday. And tonight I tried to tell myself I could ignore it in the future but I failed in the end. Theo, you said I’ll either get involved or I have to leave. That makes sense and even though I’m deadly afraid I will screw up and everything will tumble down, I’m willing to take the risk.”
“Wait.” Liam said, a small smile playing around the corner of his mouth. “Are you saying, you want to join us?”
She fiddled with her hands. “I’m saying that, if the offer still stands, I would consider myself part of the Mountain Dew-Seattle-Dunbar pack?! I’m not promising I will be easy but I’m willing to try. You guys grew on me. I can’t let you go out there by yourselves.” She looked sheepishly at the group until Maya pumped both fists in the air. “Strike, I’m not the only girl anymore!”
Liam laughed and Sadie beamed at her. “Welcome to the pack. Want some coffee?”
It's crazy how anyone of you expected jealous Theo just because Sadie showed up. Can you read my mind? Cause that would be totally cool! What am I thinking right now? What will happen in the next chapter? Bets are on! Hope you enjoyed jealous Theo. Who else is Liam when Theo flashes his abs? Raise your hands. I know I am for sure. And yes, Liam is so deadly afraid of Theo dying, he carries an inhaler around. Just in case. So, Sadie's part of the pack. I can tell you it won't be easy for her. She has a lot to learn but she is also very reliable and loyal to her friends. I mean, she saved their asses, right? Oh, and what do you say to the new ally?^^

SUPERGIRL RANT !!
As a shipper of SuperCorp, I have mentioned how I recognize that it will never happen. I have expressed feeling like show runners and writers missed the opportunity because Sanvers is already a thing and they won’t let Supergirl and her sister be gay. Like I also said, I really have nothing against Sanvers or the actresses but I feel like SuperCorp would have been a better story to tell because we have had the Luthor/Super friendship before in Smallville.
Fine they’re going to differentiate somehow, possibly by not making Lena evil, but that’s not really that big of a difference because we’ve seen these dynamics before.
I ship SuperCorp because of Katie McGrath, yes, but also because of the potential between the characters.
The story of the disregarded disgrace that was Lena Luthor and the hopeful heroine Kara Zor-El. That to me has always been a more appealing tale, not so much because of sexuality, but because of who they are.
I don’t want LGBT+ relationships to keep being portrayed in a way where the focus is on someone’s coming out. It’s like sexuality is some hindrance we should learn to get over. The narrative of watching someone realize something that shows and movies have been telling us for so many years; that it’s okay to be gay, has just been so repetitive for me. I don’t know about you, but I find the constant reassurance to be irritating and unnecessary in today’s story telling.
And I understand there are others there that are struggling, that are hiding, and are in need of reassurance, that they feel represented and validated.
I remind you that this is just my opinion because I’ve watched/read many tales where sexuality is something that has to be put under microscope, where it’s something that should discussed, something that needs to be justified instead of just being taken as what it is: two people who love and care for each other unconditionally.
Wouldn’t you rather have two same sex partners show you that they’re just like any other couple rather than have everyone else tell you that it’s okay?
I don’t know if that makes any sense....
I’ve never watched The 100 but I’ve heard people praise it because when CLexa got together, sexuality wasn’t made a big deal. SPOILER But then again, they gave Lexa an exit by killing her after she and Clarke had sex, so that’s taking the step towards the gay cliché yet again.
I would really like to see an LGBT+ relationship where sexuality isn’t an issue. It’s not about two women loving each other or two men being attracted to one another. I would love to see a show that will just show focus on the couple themselves, treat them essentially like a straight couple, without focusing on the gay agenda (telling us something we should already know such as it’s normal to be gay) or sticking to the gay cliché (giving the LGBT+ an unhappy ending by way of death).
The reason why I’m bringing all this up, is because of what happened during SDCC with the Supergirl cast.
First of all, why did Jeremy Jordan react like that? He literally yelled “They’re just friends” to the camera. As a singer (because he himself said he went to theater school and he was in a musical with Anna Kendrick), he knows how to control tone and voice, so why did he blatantly feel the need to point this out?
His reaction makes it seem like he isn’t joking, more like he’s exhausted with dealing with SuperCorp fans, and was lashing out.
And if that was the case, I understand because there were people kind of bashing the idea of Winn and Lena getting together and I’m not going to lie, while I believe I never disrespected either Winn or Jeremy Jordan, I myself said I don’t want Lena/Winn because it’s just like Sanvers where the relationship would have too many similarities between the characters, thus making it a dull and predictable relationship.
But then if that was his reasoning, if he was sick of dealing with the zealous nature of some fans, then he should have definitely expressed himself better.
He’s a professional actor, which means he should know how to conduct himself during interviews. What he did just showed that he is just as immature and disrespectful as those fans that treat him and his character like trash.
And I understand that he’s a human being, that he too makes mistakes.
But even the way he apologized didn’t feel like an apology. It felt like he was saying “I’m sorry you were offended but I am not a homophobe because I have gay friends, but really, you guys should just get over it because life is too short”. In the second part of his apology, it just seemed like he realized how badly he messed up and was probably reminded that the show is still in limbo given that they were only given one season approval, and they need as many viewers as they can get to assure a fourth season.
In the end, he was still disregarding SuperCorp shippers feelings and his ultimate apology feels like a cop out.
He wasn’t the only one.
As I mentioned earlier I know there are those thinking that because I think too many similarities means boring, that I should be on board with KaraMel. I am not. Because I think Mon needs more growing up before he even gets with anyone. His character lacks motivation and an actual arc in my opinion.
He was weak, and with the exception of the Jeremiah Danvers episode (which I feel like was a cop out, like honestly, out of all the people it was Mon who dared question what was going on? Like come freaking on! The writers obviously feel obligated to better him and they always do it by throwing other people under the bus!), he has always been wrong and angry and just downright derogatory whenever he is reminded of his mistakes.
I mentioned before that the writers could have done a better job. They could have built Mon up without tearing Kara down. They turned Kara into a foolhardy muscle head this season. She’s a far cry from what Supergirl was supposed to be.
Supergirl is the symbol of strength, of resolve, of righteousness, and justice.
Yet this TV version of Supergirl is so dependent on her lover, is so selfish that she is willing to let Earth suffer just so she can have a love life with someone she won’t crush when they have sex, then what the hell is the message that they’re trying to release to the little girls and boys who aspire to be heroes today?
They made her entire family, save for Clark, a bunch of arrogant conquerors who use their intelligence and military to prove their superiority. They made them no better than Daxamite slavers, if not worse since Kryptonians are so willing to commit genocide in order to protect themselves. The writers and show runners literally found a reason for Kara to hate her own flesh and blood just so she wouldn’t feel like she’s betraying her kind by falling in love with a Daxamite… If they used this story line in SuperCorp, I still would have hated it.
Honestly, the fact that they had to cheapen Kara’s whole heritage to make her equal to Mon is insulting. And also, they basically turned Kryptonians into the Lillian and Lex.
To speak of another insult, I understand Chris and Melissa are dating, I understand why he would be upset that someone doesn’t ship he and his actual girlfriend on the show, but I feel like he was mocking Katie’s ideals. He interrupted her response, and I know she was almost done, but countering it with his ‘sarcastic’ comment about how people’s sexuality should be defined by others basically dismisses Katie’s ideals, her belief that characters are open to interpretation and fans have a right to see what they want to see. And the thing is it definitely should be open to interpretation/ limitless in one’s imagination when you’re talking about FICTIONAL characters.
The fact that he thinks people should just take things at face value, well it’s disrespectful and downright ignorant.
He’s basically telling people to not see what they see, to not feel what they feel, because it’s not written that way therefore whatever the fan interpretation is, it is ultimately meaningless.
I’m taking it as a disrespectful remark, kind of like that person who drew Demi Lovato as a mermaid and she responded by saying it’s not her body… like obviously we all know she doesn’t have a tail. We also can see that the artist captured her facial features well so obviously, it was the artist’s choice to draw her that way, to turn her into a majestic mythical creature.
The reason I’m bringing it up is because my works are created with my own interpretation of how things are, with my vision of how they could be.
And whatever art form one makes, whether it’s writing, drawing, sculpting, the point is when someone makes something they tend to put effort in their works and, while that might not be the case for Supergirl writers, that’s certainly the case for fans who take the time to draw, write, make videos, sculptures, who make anything to portray their love for the character/characters and the couples they ship.
I feel like Chris Wood and Jeremy Jordan basically told us we are stupid for seeing something that isn’t there. Like we are wasting our time shipping something that will never happen.
All those works we created are worthless because our ship does not and will never exist, because characters should be defined solely by what’s written in their script, that there are no other interpretations, that the scenarios only have one meaning: the one we are given at face value.
They are basically saying we should not look for substance in their show, for artists to stifle their creativity with their renditions, for people to restrict their imaginations, to just watch the damn show, to let Chris and Melissa enjoy being a couple off and on screen, and ultimately for SuperCorp shippers to be quiet about our non existent never going to happen ship.
To learn that the actors on the show actually feel that it’s okay to ridicule fans, the people who watch the show, the reason why their show exists in the first place, well now I am torn between my hatred for their disrespectful behavior to SuperCorp shippers and my wish to show my support for Katie McGrath…..
I can’t comment on what Melissa said because I didn’t read/watch exactly happened about what she said… but from Katie’s reactions at some videos of her signing some SuperCorp stuff, I’m pretty sure Melissa isn’t a fan either.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’m still going to watch next season.
And I definitely don’t know how I’m going to feel inspired to continue writing my series or even support SuperCorp Week….
To those that feel like I’m over reacting, well I will say this once again.
I am tired of the crumbs they feed us.
I am tired of the way the media placates us.
I am tired of the way Hollywood tell us it’s okay to be gay, but still make us feel alienated by not letting people in the LGBT+ community get proper representation.
WE DESERVE BETTER!

Shortly after you had your heartbreaking altercation with Anakin, Loki had ran into you in the hall.
 “Good morning, sunshine,” Loki sang.
“Morning,” you said in a grumble.
“Are you alright?” he questioned as his brows knitted together and he peered at you.
You sighed. “Not exactly,” you admitted.
“I was just on my way to practice sword work. Would you like to come with me? Maybe it’ll make you feel better. I know fighting has usually helped in the past,” he said with a smile and a wink.
You offered him a weak smile and nodded. “Sure.”
You’d been practicing for about half an hour now, Loki’s footwork was remarkable, but you seemed to be off your game. He nearly nicked you over ten times and you’d failed to dodge over eighty-percent of his strikes.
“How about we take a little break?” Loki asked, holstering his sword. You didn't have the energy to protest and followed him as he lead you over to a nearby bench.
“What's got you so distracted?” he asked casually. It was unusual for you to let your emotions get the better of you like this, and it worried him.
“It's nothing,” you lied. Talking to Loki about another man didn't feel right to you. Even if he thought Anakin was just a friend, you knew better, and you were scared Loki would see right through you, especially since you obviously had a hard time controlling your emotions today.
“Alright. We’ll talk about something else then,” he said cheerfully. “How’s Skywalker doing? Did he get his voice back?” A small snicker came from him and you wondered why it was so funny to him.
“He's fine, I guess, when he isn’t behaving like a jerk.” You mumbled that last part.
“Jerk? Is that what has you so distracted?”
“What tipped you off?” you asked sarcastically.
“You aren’t usually this...melancholy. What did he do? Is everything alright between you two?”
“You seem awfully interested suddenly in my friend and me. Why is that?” you asked, suspicion in your voice. Loki wasn't Anakin's biggest fan, something he hadn't exactly tried to hide, and now all of a sudden he was so interested in him.
“I’m just concerned for your well being, Y/N,” he said. “You seem upset and I can't stand to see you hurt. Even if I don't care for him, I know that you do.”
“Well, after last night though, I’m reconsidering my feelings for him,” you said casually with a tinge of anger in your voice.
“What did he do?” he questioned.
“He was a total idiot. He said some things, some hateful things, and...I don't know... He kind of broke my heart. I knew he had anger in him, but I never thought he could be so… cruel. We have been friends for so long, but after yesterday I'm scared that even that is gone.” You had to fight against the lump in your throat, your eyes prickling as tears threatened to spill once more.
You had chanced a glance up at Loki and for the briefest of seconds, a smirk flashed across his face before he recomposed it with a more serious, concerned face.
You slowly stood from your seat, your eyes growing wide as an eery thought entered your mind. “Loki,” you started, the little seed that Anakin had planted was starting to take root. He had been right. Anakin was telling the truth.. Of course he was. He had never lied to you before, so why on earth should he start now. You had seen him act like a tyrant to everyone - except you. So why would he choose the night that he had gone out of his way to make special for you? Anakin wasn't the one to deflect his feelings into anger like that. Sure, he got angry, and he would let you know that, but it was always direct and to the point. He would verbally and directly tell you why he was upset.
 “Hmm?” he hummed.
“You...didn’t shapeshift last night, did you?”
“What? Why would you ask that?”
“Because Anakin said you disguised yourself as Obi-Wan to knock him out. Did you come back to the dinner as him?” you demanded, your voice even, trying not to accuse your best friend but it was becoming hard.
“Why would I do that? I think your friend might be lying to you.”
“And why would he lie?” you inquired.
“Perhaps he’s a liar,” he accused.
“Tread carefully, Loki, regardless of his behavior last night he is still my oldest and truest friend.”
“Well maybe you shouldn’t put your faith in people as fickle as him,” he snapped.
“Loki, did you or did you not pretend to be Anakin last night?” you demanded, tiring of the game.
“No, of course not,” he answered.
Your heart sank at his words. That tone...you’d heard it before.
Barely above a whisper, you said, “You’re lying to me.”
 “What? No, I’m not.”
Your gaze shot up to his, shooting daggers out of your eyes. “Loki, that tone. I’ve heard you use it on your parents, on the other warriors, on the help, even on Thor. But never me. That’s the same tone you use when you lie.”
Never had he used that voice on you, and never had you imagined a time when he would. It was the slightest inflection ever, something unnoticed. But you’d spent countless  hours with this man and you knew his speech patterns inside and out. You knew when he was being sarcastic, when he was genuine, when he was hurt, when he was angry, when he was lashing out. You knew every facet of his behavior and tone. And that tone, that he just used, was the tone of lying.
“Y/N,” he started, reaching toward you.
Then your heart snapped in half. He lied to you.
“How could you?!” you screamed as you charged toward him and hit his chest with your fists. “How could you do that? How could you do that to me? You sabotaged my date with him for--for what?! Tell me!” you demanded, tears pricking your eyes.
He stood motionless, his expression had shifted to one of coolness.
“Why?” you asked again in a worn out voice. “Why would you do that? You lied to me. You caused a problem between Anakin and me. You ruined my date. You knocked him out. All for what? Huh?”
Why? Why had he done this? What could drive him to hurt you so deeply? Why did Anakin bother him so much? How could he sit there, as Anakin and pretend to hurt you? What kind of a person does that?
You thought you loved him. You thought you were in love with him. All those hours in the library, reading, laughing at the most absurd passages in books. All those days laying in the sun after training, all of the whispered secrets and giggles when the Princes dined with the warriors. All the times you fought side by side, equals in every way, taking down foe after foe with magic and the Force. All those times comforting him when Odin had said something cruel to him, when Thor seemed to be getting more praise for an equal effort on their parts. You’d felt a connection to him.
And he destroyed all of that with one stupid move. Not only did he ruin your relationship with him, he ruined your relationship with Anakin.  With one terrible decision on his part, he knowingly decided to break your heart.
Did none of it mean anything to him? How could he do this to you? He’d been your savior, your light, your friend, your rock when you first arrived. And now...now he was willing to hurt you.
You’d misjudged Loki so badly. Three years bonding, flirting, caring, falling in love with a man who was nothing but selfish, cold, and cruel.
And now what did you have? Three people with broken hearts and anger in their veins. This was all your fault for even getting involved with men who were destined to never have a choice in their love life. What did you honestly think would happen? That you’d court them both and you’d just fall out of love with one of them? That somehow you wouldn’t care for one as much?
No, all the courting did was solidify the fact that you felt something more for both of them. But now that assurance had been shattered.
How had you been so blind, stupid, and naive? You should’ve just stayed away...No wonder the Jedi forbid romantic love if this is what happens….
“Isn't it obvious?” Loki asked, surprised at your question. “I was losing you to him. You were slipping away from me and I got scared. The thought of losing you frightens me to my deepest core, the thought of spending my life without you brings me more pain than any wound received in battle. In a desperate attempt to keep you, I did something rash, something dumb. But only because I love you. I deeply regret hurting you, but I saw no other way.”
“You regret hurting me? Loki, you disguised yourself as my oldest friend and knowingly shattered my heart. This wasn't a rash decision, this took time and planning. How can I believe you have any kind of love for me after learning about this?”
“I do apologize. Please… Just tell me how I can make this up to you,” he pleaded, his face pinching in pain.
“You can't. You broke my heart. You broke my best friends heart. You ruined my relationship with Anakin. You ruined our relationship,” you said, motioning between the two of you. “You ruined me..” Your voice broke at the last words. You couldn't believe him, what he had done. You always thought you were the only one Loki would never use his tricks on. Obviously, he wasn't the man you believed him to be.
“Y/N,” Loki tried, his face faltering. He appeared to be hiding tears in his glassy eyes.
“I am not done,” you warned, raising your hand to silence him. “When we got to know each other, I saw only goodness in you, inspite of what I was being told by others. Since then I have stood by your side, I have been loyal to a fault, never once questioned you. You were the same as me, on the outside looking in, different fom your kin, and it brought us together. Now I can finally understand what the others meant, why they never respected you, why they never let you in. You are a disease, Loki Odinson, seeping into the people around you, tainting them with your evil. That is why you will never be the king of Asgard, you will ruin it before it has a chance to live under your rule. That is why you will never have my forgiveness, or my heart.”
“You can't mean that,” Loki said in disbelief, not trying to hide his tears anymore. This couldn’t be real. He started to panic, realizing his plan had completely backfired. You were the only one he had ever felt a connection with. You were the one who had appreciated that he was different, you were the one who had liked him for who he was and not because he was Odin’s son or Thor’s brother.
You straightened up and folded your hands behind your back. “I request that you keep your distance from me, and I will do the same. As soon as I have a chance I will resign my position in Odin’s army. Now, if your highness would please excuse me...” You ended with a deep bow before turning around and walking away, not offering the prince another look.
Loki stood there, dumbfounded, looking at you walking away from him, walking out of his life. The words you had spoken played on a loop in his mind as tears cascaded down his face. He had never thought you would be one to hurt him, but then again, he had never imagined that he would be one to hurt you either. He wanted to follow you so badly, but his legs felt weak and heavy.
How had he screwed up so royally? How had he come to this?

Scoop! - Chapter 9
A/N: Oh Gosh, I’m so sorry! Real life got in the way of writing a little bit. Also, no real Tom in this chapter, and it’s a little shorter and dialogue heavy, but they needed to talk about the stuff, because the part about Sam and his job may be significant for things to come. Chapter 10 will have Tom, and fluff and The Jungle Book! But have fun with chapter 9 first!
The Troubles
You think it’s easier To put your finger on the trouble When the trouble is you And you think it’s easier To know your own tricks Well, it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do
“The Troubles” by U2
The next days were strange for Josefine. She felt like she was in some kind of limbo. She had a story, one that would get her readers, one that William certainly would approve. And still, she hadn’t told him, and she didn’t write it down. Of course, she made some notes, thought about how to approach the topic, but didn’t even outline the article. Jo told herself that it was simply because she still had time until the middle of January before she would have to show it to William, or – being the deputy editor-in-chief – to Sam. Lots and lots of time, so no need to write the article now. After all, she still had to do her regular work.
Well, she needed a few days, and the weekend, for that conclusion. Tom had written her the evening he arrived at the UNICEF camp to tell her he’d arrived safely, and again on Saturday, just because he wanted to. The fact that she was extremely giddy about that caused a phone call with Eva on Sunday evening, when Jo couldn’t concentrate on anything anymore.
“How’s the boyfriend?” was the first thing Eva asked. “Do you have any news? Did you sleep together? Are you going to move to Germany? Or did you find all of his dirty laundry?”
Jo rolled her eyes. “He’s not my boyfriend, Eva. We had a date, like I told you.” She twirled the wine in her glass as she sat on her couch on the gallery. “We made out, and before he told me he cheated on his girlfriend he had some years ago. Nobody knows about that.”
On the other side of the line, Eva almost choked. At least, it sounded like it. “Wow. So, you’ve got your story?” to which Jo only mumbled something even she wasn’t sure about, which prompted Eva to ask her friend again. “Jo? You’ve got you story, right? So, you’ll end this?”
“Yes, I guess.”
“What do you mean, ‘you guess’? That’s the story. You told me it was about the story, so now you have it. You can stop meeting him, tell him some lie, why you can’t see him anymore, and then by the beginning of February, he’ll know why. But then it won’t matter, because this was just one date – or three dates – and nothing more. Right?” Josefine knew that sound in Eva’s voice. It was the ‘I repeat everything you told me, but I know you’re wrong, but look how much I support you’-voice. Jo hated it. Mostly because Eva was almost always right.
“Well, I’m not even sure if it’s that good. Maybe I’ll find something better.” Eva’s silence told Jo her best friend saw right through that lie. “Or not,” she muttered.
“You’ve fallen for him!”
“What? No!” That was ridiculous. They’ve known each other for a month. She didn’t fall for men that quickly. Except that other men weren’t him, and that you could probably fall for him in thirty seconds, just by looking at him.
“Maybe I believe you, if you shout that a little louder next time,” Eva snickered from the other side of the line, then sighed, “You’re in big trouble, Fine.”
“I –“
“You are. I’ve known you for a long time. I’ve seen and heard you falling for your boyfriends. I know I’m not there, and I know you can’t tell me, and that he won’t be your boyfriend, but it’s in your voice.” She paused, then added, “He won’t be your boyfriend, right? I know you’re panicking at the moment, because of your job, the money, the flat, and London, and that’s why you’re doing this ‘going on dates to get information’-thing, but that’s not you. You won’t go as far as faking a real relationship with him, right? Because that’d be fucked up.”
Jo didn’t say anything for a long time, and Eva didn’t, either. Her best friend was right. Stringing people along wasn’t something she would normally do. Faking feelings wasn’t like Jo as well. So why was she so willing to do this with Tom, to Tom?
She groaned when the realisation dawned on her. “I won’t. And I’m not faking the dates, either.”
Josefine had to hold the phone away from her ear when Eva let out a scream. “Ha! See? I’ve told you! You’ve fallen for him!”
“No! Really, I haven’t! But I guess, I could, if I continue this.”
“So, either you don’t continue, or you will both end up heartbroken, hm?” She could hear the sympathy in her best friend’s voice, but it didn’t really help either way.
“I guess so.”
“Or...well, you could just drop it, tell him now, and you’ll have a great long-distance relationship as soon as he realises, you didn’t cause any damage, and he’s madly in love with you.”
“You know, I don’t want to go back. I’ll just have to not fall in love, and have him not fall in love, either.”
“Yeah, sounds like a plan,” came the sarcastic reply. “But I guess I support you anyway. Just for the record, I think it’s a stupid idea.”
“Duly noted.”
“And another thing; I think it would be way easier to talk about this, if I knew who that man was.”
Despite the situation she was in, Jo managed a grin. “Yeah. No.”
After the phone call, Jo felt better. She still didn’t know what exactly she should do with the information, since she still felt uncomfortable exposing a man she spent a lot of time with like this. But at least, Jo knew that she had support in Eva. She might yell at her, but she would be there.
Jo’s good mood lasted all Sunday night, and she almost made it to the whole Monday as well, if it wasn’t for a text from Tom, and a dinner with Nick and Sam in the evening.
T: I’m back in London, darling! All safe, just tired!
J: I’m so glad to hear that!
T: I missed you.
J: I missed you, too. How was it?
T: I can’t even begin to explain the things I saw…
J: You want to talk about it?
T: Right now, all I want is a hot shower and then sleep for a week. But I’ll be on the BBC tomorrow to talk about this, and then I’m off having all sorts of meetings. I’ll be free on Thursday, though!
J: Me, too ;)
T: You want to come over?
J: Would love to! And now go to sleep! And shower first!
T: And think of you.
J: That, too, if you want.
So, they’d have another date. No big deal. Jo actually was a little giddy, and couldn’t wait to listen to Tom speaking about South Sudan. She’d definitely make sure to watch his interview on the BBC as well. She missed his voice, his eyes, and his mouth. Gosh, how she missed his mouth. His hands as well, or just sitting next to him.
“Jo?!” Nick’s voice brought her back to the present, sitting at the dinner table with her two roommates, a nice roast and mashed potatoes in front of her.
“Hm?” was her not that well-articulated reply as she looked into the two grinning faces of Nick and Sam.
“Are you still with us?” Sam grinned. “I think we’ve been talking to you for five minutes now.”
“Yes, sorry. Just…thought about something.”
“Something or someone?” Nick chimed in, earning a high-five and a large grin from his boyfriend, but only a glare from the woman at the table. “Oh, come on! It was your handsome actor boyfriend you just thought about!”
“Not –“
“Not your boyfriend, we know,” Sam said, rolling his eyes. “You told us, multiple times actually. But you date, you can’t deny that. And I saw that look on your face just now. He may not be in town at the moment, or be your boyfriend, but you want him to. One thing or the other, or both, I’m not sure yet.” The grin around his red-bearded chin was large, and his eyes sparkled. Nick looked equally giddy, stuffing his face with the last of his mashed potatoes. Great, at least they had fun with this.
Jo sighed. Maybe it would be easier to just give in and go along with it. “It’s nicer when he’s here, yes. And maybe I miss him a little bit. We’ll meet Thursday night.”
“Oh, that’s our date night. He can come over when Nick and I aren’t here then.”
“That’s very considerate of you, but we’ve already made plans for me to go over to his house.” Jo could see the disappointment in both men’s faces, and looked at her plate to hide the grin spreading on her face. She was sure her roommates would have gone on their date a little later to catch a glimpse of Tom. “Maybe next time.”
“So there will be next times. Nice. I must say, I really admire his trust in you.”
Jo raised her eyes to look at Sam. “What do you mean?”
“Well,” he shifted a little bit. “Obviously, I don’t mean you personally, but I just mean that he must really like you. It’s not easy for actors to trust journalists enough to actually date them. And for Tom, after the summer he had, it must be especially hard. So, kudos to him,” he then explained, before chewing on the last of piece of roast.
“He’s right. After everything the media did to him and that relationship, he must really put a lot of trust in you.” Nick stopped a moment and then looked at Jo, suddenly alarmed. “Is everything alright? You’re pale. We didn’t mean it critically. It’s a compliment actually.”
She felt horrible, absolutely horrible. It was bad enough when she talked about all of this to Eva, but it remained anonymous then. Hearing them both talk about the past summer, Tom’s relationship with the media, and his trust in her made Jo feel sick. It scrambled her brain to think about it, and she tried to come up with an explanation for her behaviour, but there was nothing, just empty space. They all would hate her when the story would come out, right? Sam and Nick, Eva, and let alone Tom.
“Hey, everything’s alright. Remember, I’m a journalist, too. I know our reputation is quite shitty sometimes depending on where we work, but I promise you, you’ll be fine.”
“Yes,” Jo answered, finally finding her voice. “Yes, you’re right. Thank you, Sam. I guess, I really shouldn’t screw this up then, right?” She forced an easy smile on her face, but wasn’t really sure, if she succeeded, especially with Sam and Nick looking at her all concerned and with pity.
“Have you never talked about that? You being a journalist? Hell, Sam and I talked about it on our first dates, and he’s not even remotely covering my field of expertise…yet.”
Jo shrugged. She really just wanted this conversation to be over. “I told him what I do for a living in the beginning, told him it was okay to leave. But he stayed, and we never mentioned anything about trusting each other again. We’ve known each other for a month, mind you.” She paused, looked up, and saw the looks Sam and Nick threw at each other when it dawned on her. “Wait, what do you mean, he’s not covering your field of expertise ‘yet’?”
Sam sighed. “I didn’t want to tell you tonight.” He shot a look at Nick, before he continued, “but I’m resigning. I’m going to start at the London Times in February. The financial news department searched for a new head. And here I am.”
“So, we won’t be co-workers anymore?”
“We won’t be co-workers anymore,” he nodded. “Are you alright with that?”
“I’m going to miss you at work, I guess. But I’m proud of you, Sam. I’m really proud.” She swallowed, but beamed at him. Tonight was a bit much for her. Sam always kept her grounded at work. She wasn’t sure how it would be working without him. That didn’t mean she wasn’t happy for her friend, though.
“Thank you. What are you working on, by the way? I feel like I always see you and William whispering. It’s one of his secret projects again, isn’t it?”
The laughter didn’t sound real, even to her ears. “Nothing. Absolutely nothing.”
“You’re working on ‘nothing’?” Nick asked, eyebrows raised. “Well, that’s not suspicious at all.”
“I mean, of course, I’m working on things. Like, regular things. A lot of regular things, premieres, books, music. You know?”
“You’re rambling.”
“I’m not rambling, Sam. I’m not. I just have a lot of work, as you know, and yes, William asked me to do a little research on something. But I can’t really tell anyone. So, stop making me nervous.”
“Okay.”
“Okay, good.” Jo stood up from the table. “Hey, are you alright with cleaning up? I mean, I cooked. And I really need to use the bathroom. Thanks.” Without waiting for an answer, Jo marched to the bathroom, closing the door a little harsher than necessary. This was all becoming a big mess. And dating an actor didn’t mean she could act herself, as she just realised.
At the kitchen table, Nick and Sam shared a look. “Well, that wasn’t strange at all,” the redhead then whispered, receiving a nod in return.
Tagging @devikafernando, because she asked me too ;)

Pent up Vexation
Jealous Hercules x Reader
Word Count: (probably) 1700 [(?) this whole imagine is a mess]
“He just bought me a drink, Hercules,” you groaned, “We barely even exchanged two sentences,” you sighed, flinging off your high heels, completely vexed. “I thought you’d be glad, it was eight dollars you didn’t have to spend.”
Your boyfriend scoffed as he shrugged off his jacket, letting it fall over the couch, “Yeah,” he began, and you prepared yourself for the sarcastic remark that was sure to follow, “I was SO happy you were letting other guys buy you drinks, Y/N,” he rolled his eyes as you made your way up the stairs.
You shook you head, “What did you want me to do, Herc?” You exclaimed, “He sent the drink, I accepted it, that’s literally the end of the story. That is literally ALL that happened!”
“That is NOT all that happened, Y/N,” Hercules groaned in annoyance, “He came over, blatantly flirted with you RIGHT in front of me, and you LET him,” he explained angrily, as you went into the washroom, slamming the door behind you.
There you began undressing, and pulling on your pyjamas; “It’s not like I flirted with him back,” you called through the door, “He was just being nice!”
You heard him scoff once again, “He was being an asshole,” Hercules retorted, “He obviously knew that we were together, Y/N.”
You pulled out your toothbrush and toothpaste, “So what? Why are you getting all feisty with me, then? Go get mad at him,” You sighed, shaking your head as you began to brush your teeth.
Hercules groaned from the other side of the door, “You always let other guys flirt with you, Y/N, and you never do anything about it!” You rolled your eyes. “The guy in the coffee shop, the one who bought you that coffee?”
You spit, “You weren’t even there, Herc, he had no way of knowing I had a boyfriend!” You replied, before going back to your brushing.
“Yes, he did!” Your boyfriend exclaimed, his patience running thin, “If you would’ve just told him! But you didn’t, because you never do. And what about that asshat at the Tony’s afterparty, huh? He definitely knew we were together-not that it mattered anyway, you didn’t really seem to care that he was flirting with you all night.”
You shook your head, despite knowing he couldn’t see you; “I was just being social, Hercules,” you groaned, “What’s up with you? Why are you getting so jealous all of a sudden,” you muttered bitterly, swinging open the bathroom door, ignoring your boyfriend leaning against the wall and making your way into the bedroom.
“It’s not all of a sudden,” Hercules mumbled, exasperatedly, “This has been building up for months, Y/N,” he exclaimed, dramatically, making you sigh and roll your eyes.
Pulling back the covers, you let yourself drop into the bed, “Whatever,” you grumbled, “I’m going to sleep. Are you, or are you not?” You asked, raising your eyebrows.
Your boyfriend narrowed his eyes at you; “That’s it? That’s really it?” He asked, quirking an eyebrow.
You shrugged your shoulders, “It’s after midnight, Herc,“ you sighed, “I’m not really in the mood to argue with you. I’m going to sleep; are you joining me or not?” You asked, turning onto your side, your back to him, so he knew that you meant business.
You heard him sigh, but didn’t feel the mattress sink, or the covers move; what you did hear though, was your bedroom door opening before closing, roughly.
***
“I just don’t understand him,” you muttered to Angelica, who was currently playing with your hair, “It was a free drink! Who would turn that down?!” You exclaimed with a sigh, “Certainly not me… That’s for sure.”
“I think that’s been established,” Angelica said quietly. “He’s just upset because you let other guys do boyfriend-like things for you,” she continued, gently, “Imagine if he was buying drinks for another girl… Or if he always let other girls flirt with him when he’s out; that wouldn’t feel to great, right?”
You sighed; you hated it when she’s right. “I mean, no, of course not…” You agreed, “But I know that he would never cheat on me; just like I would never leave him for another guy, or cheat on him, or anything like that! He knows that, he shouldn’t be jealous,” you sighed, “He should trust me.”
Angelica sighed softly, “Maybe you should go talk to him,” she suggested, “I bet he’s just as beaten up about it as you are.”
You nodded your head, before sitting up from her lap, “Alright,” you said lowly, “I guess I’ll go see him… Thanks, Angelica; you always know what to say.”
“Anytime, Y/N,” she replied, smiling at you, softly, “Tell me how it goes?”
“Of course.”
***
“I just don’t understand what she doesn’t understand,” Hercules groaned, flopping down on Alexander’s couch, “I’ve spelled it out for her numerous times!” He exclaimed, shaking his head; “I don’t like it when she lets tons of guys flirt with her? What’s so hard to understand?!”
Alexander sighed, handing his friend a muffin, “Dude,” he said, “You guys have been together for like a year; she’s been smitten with you for months. You know that she’d never do anything to hurt you or anything,” he said, shrugging his shoulders before sitting on the chair, adjacent to Hercules.
“Well, I mean, yeah, I know that,” Hercules muttered, “But that’s not the point; she lets those random men flirt with her shamelessly, all the time,” he continued with a sigh, “Do you think she’s getting tired of me?”
Alexander scoffed, “You know she’s not tired of you,” he stated, looking at his friend with raised eyebrows, “Maybe that’s just who she is; when you first tried flirting with her, she didn’t even realize you were hitting on her. Maybe she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it.”
“Oh,” Hercules scoffed, “She definitely knows. We talk about it every time it happens!” He exclaimed, shaking his head.
Alexander smirked, shaking his head; “Well at the end of the day, she’s still your girlfriend,” he said comfortingly, “And she’s probably the best one you can get; I’d go talk to her, Herc.”
Hercules sighed, but stood from the couch; “You’re right,” he said, “I’ll tell you how it goes.”
***
It had gone down pretty well. At least, up until this point you thought it had.
You and Herc had talked everything out; you decided that you would stop allowing the flirting, and Hercules would stop being so jealous all the time. It was a pretty solid plan, that lasted a solid three days without fail.
“He was all over you!” Hercules yelled, his brows furrowed in annoyance, “And didn’t do anything about it— you never do!” It seemed to you that the three days of pent up vexation was suddenly popping.
You sighed, “Hercules, stop it,” you groaned, “He wasn’t ‘all over me’— he’s just a friend from home!” You exclaimed, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Yeah,” Hercules scoffed, “You’re ex from home; he was flagrantly hitting on you, Y/N!” You boyfriend continued, angrily.
“So I’m not allowed to have male friends now, Hercules?” You spat, “You promised not to get so jealous all the time.”
“And you promised to stop flirting with other men,” he huffed, “Which you can’t seem to do.”
You pursed your lips, “I wasn’t flirting with anybody!” You yelled defensively, “We were just talking, Herc! I’m allowed to talk to guys; I’m not a little doll, you can’t control my every move, Hercules,” you grumbled, thoroughly annoyed, “You have to grow the fuck up.”
Your boyfriend scoffed, “I’m not trying to control you,” Hercules argued, “But it’d be nice if you acted like we were a real couple for once.”
You rolled your eyes, “What’s that supposed to mean?” You muttered bitterly as you made your way up to your bedroom; Hercules followed you begrudgingly.
“It MEANS,” he groaned, “That maybe you could acknowledge our relationship once in a while? And not trifle around with other guys? That’d be nice,” he said sarcastically.
You furrowed your brows, “I don’t ‘trifle around,’ Hercules,” you said bitterly, “And what do you mean, ‘acknowledge our relationship’? I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t been acknowledging our relationship, we wouldn’t be in one!” You cried, throwing your arms up in exasperation.
“I MEAN,” Herc groaned, “That you don’t let me be affectionate out in public, but you have no trouble letting other people! Do you know how frustrating that is?” He asked, rhetorically, as he crossed his arms over his chest.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes; “It wouldn’t be so frustrating,” you began, crossing your own arms, “If you could control that God awful jealousy of yours,” you exclaimed.
“Nope!” Hercules cried, stubbornly, “It would be just as equally frustrating!”
You rolled your eyes, but didn’t really have anything left to say. Begrudgingly, you sat on the foot of the bed.
Hercules sighed, before shaking his head; he waited a moment for you to respond, but upon seeing that you wouldn’t be, he stormed off into the washroom, to get ready for bed.
Digging your teeth into your bottom lip gently, you flopped onto your back; this had been your third fight of the month. And it was about the same exact thing, for each and every time. You knew he meant well; but it was hard to be affectionate out in public! It made everyone around you uncomfortable, and on edge, and that always made YOU uncomfortable in return… But maybe you just took it too far; it was okay for some hugging sometimes, more handholding… In your defence though, Herc definitely got too jealous too frequently. You had tried meeting halfway in the past, at least that’s what you told yourself. In reality, though, you had just tried changing him, you didn’t really change at all.
Sighing, you sat back up; you hated being wrong! And you had just totally gone off on him! Scooting yourself up the bed, you sat straight in the middle, before inching closer and closer to the edge.
It was only a minute later when Hercules emerged from the washroom; he was wearing his pyjamas and a frown. Upon seeing you in bed, he raised his eyebrows; “Is there a reason you’re on my side?” He asked, annoyance and anger still evident in his voice.
You shrugged your shoulders gently; “More probable that you would cuddle me,” you said, factually.
Herc furrowed his brows, “Reasoning?” He asked, his voice gradually becoming softer.
“Very little room for you,” you said, gesturing to the small space remaining for your boyfriend, “You will have to hold onto me so you don’t fall off,” you explained, lifting the blankets, inviting him in.
Hercules sighed; “Damn,” he said, crawling in and wrapping his arms around your waist, “That’s pretty good.”
You nodded your head, burying your face into his shoulder. You thought your words over carefully before speaking them; before you could, though, Hercules did.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
You sighed softly; “I’m more sorry,” you said, your voice soft, “I wasn’t trying to make you feel like that,” you explained gently.
Hercules pulled you against him, tightly; “I know, angel,” he sighed, “I promise I’ll try harder not to get so jealous all the time.”
You nodded your head softly, “I’ll try harder, too,” you agreed, lifting your baby finger up for him to link his own with. Once he did, you kissed the top, before unlinking your fingers and instead fiddling with his.
“You know,” Hercules began, letting out a breathy laugh, “I’d cuddle you even if you were in the middle of the bed,” he said, running his hand up and down your side, “Because I’m kind of falling off…“
You chuckled, nodding your head, “I was just making sure that you would actually cuddle with me!” You exclaimed with a laugh, scooting over so that you laid in the middle. “Couldn’t take any chances.”
Hercules laughed, nodding his head, “Whatever you say, angel,” he grinned, re-wrapping his arms around you, “I love you.”
“I love you, too, Herc.”

The Tumblr Community
First off, I’m sorry if this is super long but I’m super pissed so here we go.  Second I’m gonna warn that I am gonna swear, my apologies.
This website is a literal hellscape. It’s activism mixed with fandoms mixed with news mixed with creeps mixed with all this other bullshit that would take too long to list. Literally, this platform is a disaster, and it had nothing to do with the website itself. It’s all the people. The people on this website suck. People joke that they hate this site and that they think its awful, but they’re all inflated with this weird Tumblr superiority vibe. Like somehow, being an asshole on here is better than doing it on twitter or facebook. But in a sense, that’s true! Because on here, you can be an absolute dick and people will like you for it????
First off, there’s this weird bandwagon effect where people jump on every to something and it just keeps growing and growing. This is really bad in fandoms, where people take fanon content way too far and then have the audacity to be upset when a show doesn’t take the path they thought it would. People bully others for not liking ideas and try to act like they’re saints. It’s bullying, but the bully isn’t just one person, it’s thousands, even if the first bully was wrong.
Then there's the activism. “You don’t really support ______ unless you do _____”. “Lol (a group that is not considered a minority) is so stupid for (really anything under the sun, sometimes it's existing).” This website throws around the word radical rather liberally for a platform full of actual radicals. Don’t mistake activism for radicalism. There is a difference between fighting for your cause and being batshit insane and prejudiced. And, shockingly, it is very possible to be prejudiced against a group that is not a minority. IF i can find the article I’ll link it here but I read a really nice one lately about the two different kinds of racism. There is a type of racism that can actually affect a persons’ livelihood, which is a major problem that people are trying to combat worldwide. Then there's the other kind with sarcastic racist comments and dehumanizing other people just to be petty. A lot of people on this site like to say things aren’t racist because they’re not the first kind, but they definitely are the second kind. and ladies. There is a MAJOR difference between saying “I want women to have equal rights” and “I hate men”. The difference is, one of them is activism and one of them is prejudice. And the violence! Jesus! If physical confrontation is the only solution, then sometimes that is the reality of the situation. But wanting to kill/assault/mutulate someone is not okay?? Not at all?? and its kind of weird that I have to say that. People should not be excited at the prospect of violence. And it shouldn’t be some kind of trump card either (i really wish there was a better way to phrase that but the orange man has tainted the saying no matter what). Like, it shouldn’t be some kind of revelation. “Hmmmm, that person doesn’t want to physically attack someone else, that obviously means they support evil” Like no. just no.
People also don’t like change on this website, but in a weird kind of dangerous way. People think that change is impossible. Ya’ll got an entirely new skeleton every 7 years or so, why not an entirely new state of mind. Ya pulling out 15 year old receipts like that means anything. Like, ten years ago I was a fetus in elementary school. I had trouble with science and couldn’t draw a stick figure. Now I’m an artist who’s sold work, and I’m literally at university for Biochemistry. Ten years ago scientists had an entirely different idea about why your skin gets wrinkly in the water, but guess what, that's all different now. So much can change in one year, just one, so why do ya’ll think people can’t change? Also, it’s kind of scary how rigid things can be when it comes sexuality and gender on here. Like, “you had sex with a man once, you can’t be a true lesbian” no? no no no. People change their minds, peoples personalities change. Who knows whats going to happen next year. Everything about this world fluctuates, and this website wants to choke peoples opportunity to eplore these changes. But I digress.
Oh! and shippinh! don’t even get me started on shipping, or god damn aus. People try to justify supporting pedophilia and abusive relationships all in the name of shipping. It’s fine to have imagination but try to remember the weight of what you say. And don’t try to tell me that shipping and fan theories are harmless. Despite what all the 20 and 30 somethings on this website want to believe, there are actual children on here. Young people who are easily influenced by what media they are interested in. They come on here and see some stupid ship where someone has taken two people who very obviously hate each other and shipped them because “it's cute”. This little kid I used to tutor, this eleven-year-old boy, has a Tumblr account. Do you know what he asked me a while back? He asked me why Rey pretends not to like Kylo in the movies. He’s seen Reylo or whatever its called and it just messes with his head. Some of you will be like “pfft, eleven? obviously, he should understand by now” because some of you don’t actually understand that kids are kids and they learn everything at different paces. Like, this website is filled with angsty teens who think they got shit figured out, and they’re encouraged by adults who are convinced that they were special mature snowflakes, but facts are facts. Young people don’t know everything, and toxic Tumblr is here to make that so much worse. Next someones gonna say “well, they should know not to take everything on the internet seriously” so, big fuckin surprise, I’ll blow your minds by telling you kids don’t actually always know that!
(Now, I know I’ve been using the word kids a lot but this goes for anyone under the age of 17, or maybe even more depending on your experiences.)
Worst of all, all this shit mashes together to form one big nonsense. “If you watch (tv show) you can’t be a real supporter of (cause)” and other nonsense like that. I’m just so tired of this site. I’m only staying because I like the actual design of the site. That and I have a little bit of faith in humanity left, that somehow everything will work out. Anyways now I’m emotionally and physically tired so, I’m gonna go try to forget about this trash community for a little bit.
