okay. so while running away from the sea police. crew was slightly too mutinous bc the last party didn't have enough oomph. someone decided to be too silly while drunk and burnt the rope reisz usually grabbed to swing by over the waters (like moana). ghostie the very next day grabbed the rope to attack a nasty zee-monster like they've done dozens of times before, not even blinking, not an ounce of fear, all trust and muscle memory, and the rope snaps with them mid-air.
