Let's just say the next time a fic writer intends to say "eyes" and instead says "orbs" you'll be seeing me in court charged with aggravated assault
#tackling and molly-whopping the next person who does this i'm so serious#text post#“his amber-hued orbs glanced her way” no the FRICK they did not#what are ORBS those are not ORBS they are EYES#bro if you're writing a soft romantic scene in which this guy is quietly gazing at the object of his affections#and you frickin pull up with “orbs” i will punch you in the throat#immersion killer!! i am telling you!!#look i am not trying to insult anyone who writes like this. i am simply saying it is maybe not the best option to use#it's such a jarring word that it immediately brings me out of that invested feeling every time i read it
