thoughts about Our flag means death after the cut, because spoilers. lots of gifs because.
Tumblr media
- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
- Even Lucius is like, dude that’s so gay.
Tumblr media
- Leslie Jones?!?!?
Tumblr media
- It feels amazing to actually hear characters use they/them for Jim. And I also would love to be stabbed by Jim. Fun detail, when they write in the journal in Spanish at the beginning, they use both a masculine ending in a word, and the phrase ‘my nonexistant balls’ right next to each other. It’s nice to know what kind of pronoun they use in the gendered language that is Spanish.
Tumblr media
- I know eveyone is saying Stede is a bastard for leaving but, hear me out.
Stede feeling so guilty he accepted death from a firing squad without blinking
Tumblr media
is the same than
Stede feeling so guilty he went back to his unhappy marriage.
Tumblr media
And it’s logical. Child grew without love and support, becama a man without love and support, entenred a marriage withour love and support. And he tried to be happy, by commissioning the ship, but he didn’t get his wife’s love and support. At that point, leaving was cruel, but the logical step, the only moment he thought he deserved a chance at happiness. And then he ‘killed’ that sword dude and the guilt and self-doubt came back. There is not one momen in the series where is he not eaten insibe by guilt, until he solves things with Maria and the kids.
Which leads to: receiving Ed’s attention, kiss and devotion and not really answering back, rolling with the flow. But that man won’t follow you, Ed, because leaving for happiness means he would accept that he deserves happiness.
(look at that lack of reaction. you know something’s wrong.)
Tumblr media
Stede felt he had ruined everything in his life so far, of course he felt he also ruined Ed. Just look at his reaction to the shaved beard. (besides missing the sexiness of it). So of course, his logical conclusion was ‘Ed will be happier at sea, without me,’ and ‘I am not deserving of happiness so I’ll go back to this place I hate and try to right my wrongs.,
Tumblr media
- the story was amazing, the characters and humor incredible-- but I wonder if there was someone specialized in directing romance in the crew. Hear me out: The handkerchief scene was *chef’s kiss*. That tension, look, turn back-- AAAAAHHH. This is what we live for. And then, well, they developped a wonderful relationship and it was a delight to watch grow, but I did wonder if we would have some more moments of escalating romantic tension. Yes, they did and said things that proved they were in love/falling in love, but at some point it was more tell than show. Like, even the kiss? It was a good kiss, but I think it deserved a bit more focus on that specific moment, both in the framing of the scene than in the character’s emotions.
Tumblr media
- fuck the clothes are good. Stede the fashion icon.
Tumblr media
- bring back the beard. next kiss i want the beard to be there. taika is hot but fuck, all in leather with that beard??? *fans self*. Congrats on Taika for having reached peak hotness: Leather - Gay - Beard - Thrown to the ground.
Tumblr media
- All of Ed’s storyline is about defining oneself. He was looking for a way of redefining who he was, and he did find it, but the problem is that it was directly linked to Stede. With him gone, Ed’s new, comfortable identity crumbled. There was the void, and then the return of the old identity to protect himself from further pain. Next season should be him growing back, but standing by himself, and be his whole person.
- Karl :(
 - THE CINEMATOGRAPHY. Some shots- some framings were just incredible??? I’m still reeling from this one
Tumblr media
oh fuck i just noted the foot thing. i hadn’t noticed at first watch. i’m gonna go die some more okay.
The sleeping pills have me drowsy. I’ll leave you with a random gif
ah might as well be the kiss, we have so few, real, canon gay kisses. lookattem smooch

Season 1 Episode 6: A Fanatic Heart [Part Two]
I mean Fara is doing her best to be a good leader but I'm still pretty convinced she's going to die
FakeMusa is doing her best and I support her
Actually fuck OFF Terra you have NO RIGHT to ask that of her, much less EXPECT it
Also just a lil bit of FakeMusa analysis, she is not only feeling her boyfriend dying, but also all of the pain and terror and regret and anger of everyone else in that room. Of fucking COURSE she's going to get overwhelmed
Also also imma say she like, felt the death of her parents or something because that's been a building subplot all series
"He's in pain" ...so you want FakeMusa to feel it instead. Wow real good friendship there, Terra
Also it's bad enough that Terra's asking this, but for her dad, a TEACHER, to ask this of a first year who hasn't even learnt that technique yet, is fucking ridiculous
Called that
Well they kept the Musa Dead Mum plot... and now I'm upset
Don't FUCKING touch her Terra. People shouldn't have to expose their trauma to be allowed to say no - FakeMusa needs a hug but NOT from you. You want to talk about consent issues? Because this whole subplot is a big fucking red flag.
The one thing Fate got right - which I am certain wasn't intentional - is the neurodivergent coding of Musa. Like, the headphones to block out painful or too much stimuli is actually really well done (hence why I think it was an accident)
Sorry was Terra actually unbarricading the door? Sacrifice the many for the few is it, Terra?
Oh shit it JUST wants Bloom
Fara Bloom literally TOLD you they were just after her
I'm actually so mad that FakeMusa is negotiating her personal boundaries due to an adult and her supposed friend bullying a child
Oh Bloom's floating. Okay. We don't have the budget for wings but the fire fairy can float for no apparent reason
FUCK OFF SHE ACTUALLY JUST GOT FIRE WINGS FUCK OFF THAT'S ACTUALLY WORSE THAN NO ONE GETTING THEM OH MY GOD AT LEAST STICK TO YOU OWN SHITTY WRITING RULES
Why are some of them super easy to kill and others take like... a whole thing
Oh shit she can turn them back into people. Right okay, feel like that should have come up sooner
Dowling is such a good mother and I'm so afraid she's going to die. There's way too much time left for nothing else to happen and Rosalind is just rocking about
FARA LOOKS PROUD AND SHOCKED BY HERSELF OH NO I'M SCARED
Sorry Terra that crossed a line. I actively hate you.
Oh Beatrix just fully lied about being an orphan, she has a dad
Oh no he's not her bio dad
So Riven and Dane are villains with Roz now. Right
"Cooler?! I love Tinkerbell!" "Of course you do" good friend banter but I despise Terra now so can someone else have banter with Stella instead?
Aisha you didn't even introduce yourself how would Bloom's parents know who's talking to them
"Bloom transformed" no she fucking didn't she got shitty fire wings that have made me SO ANGRY. That's not a transformation it DOESN'T COUNT
None of you are considering the possibility that the whole "Blood witches" thing was a lie? No? Eveyone just tells the truth all the time always, even Rosalind?? Right okay. I hate this bullshit show
Also you canNOT just throw in a term like "blood witches" in the last fucking episode. That's a fucking joke Weed Boy
Sky is having Sad Boy Hours
Ooh a Sad Boy montage
See Bloom's going to talk with Dowling and I feel like it's going to go badly because NO ONE IS LOOKING FOR ROSALIND
Bloom is finally being open and honest with Dowling and accepting her as a mother figure so she's DEFINATELY going to die. These death flags are waving in my fucking face
BLOOM ASKING FOR A HUG AND FARA'S LITTLE FACE OH MY GOD I'M SCREAMING THIS IS SO SAD AND CUTE
Also from Fara's face: when was the last time she got a hug oh my god
AWWW THIS IS SO SOFT AND SAD
FARA IS FUCKING CRYING OH MY GODDD
That's just not what a figurehead is. You wanted to becime a symbol. There's a rather large and important difference
THE REASON FARA'S UPSET IS BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE SO UNAPPROCHABLE THAT BLOOM HAD TO ASK FOR A HUG SO UNCERTAINLY OH MY GOD
I'm so angry that she's getting this development now. In the last 20 fucking minutes of the season
SHE BROUGHT THE WHOLE SQUAD BACK HOME LMAO MIKE'S FACE
Stella is so awkward and cute I love her why didn't we get HER FROM THE BEGGINNING
Also if this important conversation happens off screen I will feel robbed
And it's happened off screen. That is bull-fucking-shit
Sad montage of their baby... yikes
Oh the mother is leaving. #NotMyVanessa
This montage is bullshit I wanted a CONVERSATION
Okay but the Winx actually acting like friends is cute
So Riven and Dane went missing the night the school was attacked and no one's seen them and you just... aren't worried about these literal children? What kind of bitch-ass school...
Oh the Solarian army has FINALLY arrived
Stella ain't here lads
Oh fuck OFF Queen Nightlight
You're arresting Silva??
Sorry there is literally NO fucking way Sky's dad is alive. I mean he clearly is and is clearly Beatrix's dad but that makes no sense. Shit writing at it's shittest
Stella's mum is CLEARLY involved in this shady shit
Also what kind of justice system...?
Hello there Bitchboy King
Fara vibing with the freshly burried corpses
Okay Rosalind is here and I'm scared for Fara's safety
Also apparently no one was aware the Burned Ones used to be people. I had assumed that was common knowledge but apparently that was supposed to be a secret reveal at the end that I worked out... so long ago. Come on lads
Also also I'm so scared because Sword Dad is being arrested and now Fara is alone with Rosalind and I feel like Fara is going to get murdered and replaced by Rosalind while Sword Dad is replaced by Sky's Dad
Oh Rosalind knew about the Burned Ones being people
Rosalind is a really good villain but she scares me and also her actress is still shit
The dragonfire is now the "Dragon Flame" and created the Burned Ones. I just. I'm so out of fucks to give
And Bloom has it too. Shook
Of course she risked kids to test Bloom - have you MET this woman she's shady as fuck
Dowling is talking about how she finally saw the light when she stepped out of Rosalind's shadow and clearly this a whole "I've escaped your abuse" thing and I'm so happy for her. And also terrified because she's definately about to die
If I leave this on pause Fara doesn't have to get murdered
And Queen Exposed Wire is in fact a part of the coverup. Shocked
I like that Rosalind is explaining everything. I genuinely do appriciate a good villain monologue
FARA DON'T GET AGGRESSIVE WITH HER SHE'S GOING TO KILL YOU STOP I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE
DON'T WALK AWAY FROM HER OH MY GOD YOU THREATENED HER THEN TURNED YOUR BACK SHE CAN AND WILL KILL YOU FARA WHY DO YOU THINK SHE'S ABOVE THIS
I'm so fucking upset. She just. Snapped her neck. Lifted her up and murdered her. I'm actually on the verge of tears it was so brutal. I cannot believe they made me care about Fara in the last fucking episode only to KILL HER OFF
Did she just speed-rot Fara's body?? I'm so upset. I'm so fucking upset
And now all the Winx who were actually happy and getting along are coming back to this shitshow
Brian Young is a fucking criminal. Thank fuck that's over

Wacky’s Brooding Box
Okay.
Here is the thing.
We are only a few hours away from the next episode. And I am barely containing my HYPE right now.
Okay.
That was a lie.
I never contain my HYPE.
But that’s not the point. The point is that I have some fanfic-y thoughts I want to share with you that are likely wishful thinking for what awaits us JB-wise in this and the final episode. I have many more headcanons of that sort, but those are the ones I am now putting in this little box here.
Tumblr media
I will lock those headcanons inside the box and below the cut. These are all scenarios I would dig to see, and whatever doesn’t happen... I will try to make fanfiction, I suppose. If I somehow unbreak my fanfiction bones. If at least one of them turns out true... I will get a crystal ball.
1) Brienne somehow learns about Bronn having been tasked with assassinating Jaime and Tyrion. Perhaps Podrick knows from Tyrion that Bronn showed up again, but Tyrion instructed Pod not to tell anyone. But since when can Ser Son keep anything from Ser Mom for long, right? Tables turn when we see Bronn the next time, drinking himself silly at an inn close to Winterfell. Pod comes in and they have conversation - only for Brienne to come up from behind and honor Bronn with the same kind treatment he gave to Tyrion. If she breaks his nose for real, she gets extra cookies. Brienne quickly disarms him and makes it clear that she is not like Tyrion, not like Jaime, she is not here to negotiate or play castle-swap. It’s either that he does as she says or she will end him. Bronn is pissed but impressed, makes jokes about Jaime's cock being magical if someone goes that far to get it back or something to that effect. It turns out that Brienne has a new plan, which involves taking Bronn to King’s Landing with her as he has knowledge of the passageways underneath King’s Landing, as can be assumed after he led Jaime down there to meet up with Tyrion. I would just about die to have a roadtrip moment of Bronn having the giggles about JB finally having done it, though things would likely turn serious soon. I keep having that mental image of Brienne telling him that she pities him for being so alone in the world that he can’t seem to care for anyone or anything beside himself, how his life is devoid of meaning and how he will die alone no matter what castle he comes to own. Since I still have that headcanon that Bronn will choose to die an honorable death in the capacity of actually risking his life for his friends (Jaime and Tyrion are really the people he could care about even if he says and acts like he is the only one who matters to himself) or perhaps for Brienne now.
2) We zoom in on Winterfell. Brienne tries to distract herself from her anger and sadness by training excessively with Pod. She barely talks, grits her teeth a lot. Maybe Sansa watches from the balcony, looking a bit concerned or at the very least troubled. Then the IMPOSSIBLE happens. Pod lands a hit for the first time because Brienne is distracted. Podrick has a total WTF moment ("When did I become so strong? What power was I given by the Seven? What is happening??? Did I just kill her??? Ser Mommmm?"). He starts to fuss and apologizes to her as Brienne straightens back up. She tells him there is no need, then excuses herself and storms off.
3) possibly in connection to 2) if Jaime did indeed put a bun in that oven (I think he did), we see Brienne puking somewhere, or hear her, we can fill in the blanks on our own, thank you. Then either ENTER Gilly going like "oh, girl, I know the feeling, it'll pass once you are a bit further along with the pregnancy". Brienne stares at her as wide-eyed as ever , thinking "the lady is mad" or ENTER Dadvos showing concern for Brienne (I really kind of want them to have another scene because they have a twisted history together and ever since the whole honorable man and just woman, I have my headcanons, so many of them). Brienne tries to brush it off but soon realization dawns on her that, yup, there is a Braime Bun. 4) Sansa tells Brienne that Bran wants to talk to her. Brienne goes to see him and he drops some truthbombs. This ould be a number of things, scenarios my brain is currently favoring: a) Bran reveals he had another conversation with Jaime before he left wherein he told him that "you will have a child, but it isn't the Queen's" which made Jaime connect the dots that Brienne already was pregnant with his child whereas Cersei actually was not, doubling the angst for him to put her at risk; b) Bran tells her something along the lines of what he told Jon, that Brienne has to make a choice about where she wants to go moving forward as she has an important role to play in all this, which may or may not cement her crucial role to endgame; c) he reveals to her that he drove Aerys mad to bring Jaime to where he was to even things out between them, basically, how he had to set it all up for Jaime to be right where he is now, that he has to bring everyone to where they are needed and that Brienne now also has to decide where she wants to be, though whatever choice she makes “will come with great sacrifice;” d) he drops a massive hint towards the YMB(Q) being about Brienne in an even more overt way; e) some talk about East and West united, f) Bran repeating to her "Nothing's more hateful than failing to protect the one you love” to Brienne.
5) Brienne readies the horse for herself (similar to how we saw Jaime ready his before he left), we see her taking a moment to hold on tight to Oathkeeper or we zoom in on it, to affirm that she's holding on to her bond with Jaime through the twin swords; ENTER Pod asking her what she is doing. If he opens with "Ser" or "M'lady Ser" he gets extra points. Brienne tells him that she will be leaving for King’s Landing. If Pod got the clue that she may be with child (if that's the scenario we are rolling with), he may express concern about her going alone, arguing that he as her squire should come with her. Even if not with the bun going on, he may still insist on doing that because he is a good squire and she raised him well. Brienne then touches him in a very soft kind of way and tells him that she needs him to stay here, that she trusts him with her promise to Lady Catelyn now to protect Sansa from harm. "There's nothing I can teach you anymore, Podrick." Something like that. She then rides off to kick that lovely man with golden hand in the balls and make him come home.
6) Alternatively, I could see Sansa and Brienne having honest conversation about the status of her oaths and her staying at Winterfell. Brienne may express fear that Sansa would not understand why she'd want to go after Jaime, just that she does, showing that she is more adult than most others, arguing that Brienne doesn't have to stay to know her protected, hinting at the fact that Pod is more than capable as she trained him well.
7) Brienne actually doesn't head straight to KL but meets up with Selwyn or a commander of Tarth forces (maybe a kind of Goodwin character). Big reveal is that she wrote to her father to request help before she left Winterfell. I mean, they have soldiers right? I want to see more of those??? I bet they kick ass??? I would just love it if Brienne commanding Vale soldiers would now bring her one step closer to doing the same for her own people/troops. It would so neatly fit with her arc about finally taking up on her position as only living heir to her House. This could well be incorpated with Bronn being dragged along and Brienne basically not just planning a rescue mission for Jaime but also to protect his finest act by getting people out of the Red Keep and to safety by enabling evacuation protocols.
8) If there is such a thing as a father-daughter reunion between Selwyn and Brienne at some point (not necessarily before going to King’s Landing), I just want him to say how much she's changed upon first seeing her. Gah.
9) After Brienne is normally always the one to ask “what are you doing?” I kind of want Jaime to now say that to her upon seeing her wind up at King’s Landing.
10) I can still see a fakeout death scenario for either one of them. Since they were so heavy on misdirecting us with regards to Jaime’s fate, I start to think that maybe it’s really Brienne. She didn’t have a stand-alone near-death experience ever since the bearpit and the fight with the Hound. The rest was more regular battles that left us little second-guessing. At Winterfell against the living dead, eveyone could have been gone any minute, so that hardly shed the light on her (not that this episode shed much light *nudge* *nudge* Long Night *nudge*). Like, I was personally very fearful we would lose Pod that episode because they gave him the song and all those things, but she momentarily lost Jaime. Now the show’s dropped the idea of “you don’t have to die with your sister, Jaime” which is why I think that is precisely what is not happening. Otherwise it’s extremely... oddly... straight-forward. Plain. Point being, in the BatB trajectory, we are now at the point where Belle leaves for her home to be with her family, only to be held off by her evil sisters who are jealous of her. The Beast “dies” as a result of that neglect, but awakens/is reborn when Belle returns and professes her love for the Beast, and the curse is broken. In that part of the story, Jaime is Belle and Brienne is the Beast. So it may be that this is the time when we are led to believe that Brienne died, and Jaime will believe that she died, just that she didn’t. “Who wants to die defending a Lannister?” Big foreshadowing right there from all the way to their first encounters. So I can see her coming to King’s Landing and saving Jaime, only to nearly get killed herself, or leaving Jaime under the belief that she may be dead, only to then reveal that she is not. He still has to say the magic l-word, after all.
Anyway. Those are some broody thoughts for Wacky’s broody box. Thanks for your attention.

Nioh
Tumblr media
Samurai have been around for some time now; the real deals may have come and gone, but our fascination still runs strong. Yet in a decent amount of samurai stories you’ll follow the tale of someone who has the proper experience to be a samurai; however, Team Ninja’s Nioh is not one of these tales. In fact, in terms of overall setting, character, etc. You’re far from samurai material. For now let’s push that aside. Nioh is the new action role playing game from Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo; Taking some elements from games like dark souls, and other elements from Team Ninja titles we get Nioh. Now I haven’t played to many games from Team Ninja, but have played my fair share from the Koei Tecmo side. However, most of my experience with them comes from the warriors series, and Nioh is a completely different game. I went in as prepared as I could be, though I started with the thought that this would play close to something like dark souls. I’ve never finished a souls game so I was a little skeptical that I would have finish this. Though this isn’t a souls game, or whatever game came before souls; in fact this plays closer to something like Ninja Gaiden than Souls. That aside I not only finished the game, but completed the game one hundred percent. It’s not easy, and it can get aggravating at time; however I loved every moment of it. The story, it’s characters, the game play, you name it; from start to finish I had a blast. It’s a game I highly recommend if you haven’t played it yet; though let me explain why I think this is a must buy, starting with the story.
Deep in the tower of London we find our unlikely hero William, an Irishman, locked away. Thanks to Williams guardian spirit he’s lived a long, if not dangerous, life. Williams make his escape from the tower to find that Queen Elizabeth is looking to get something called amrita in the hopes of defeating Spain in their on going battle. William knows all to well what amrita is capable of and sets out to stop the queens plan. However, before leaving Williams guardian spirit is taken from him by the very person he aims to stop. So now you’re off to Japan, where amrita is rich and Oni run wild. Become a samurai and stop what has been set in motion, all while helping push the tide of Japan’s on going war.
Now the story of Nioh is nothing new for me. I’ve gone through the sengoku era of Japan many times. If you’ve played any of the samurai warriors games then you know what I’m talking about; however, Nioh tells the story in a much more serious and different fashion. Not to mention this is seen through the eyes of a foreigner. Now the main story isn’t Japan’s war, but William and his quest through Japan to stop the amrita from getting to England. William must stop a sorcerer named Edward Kelley; however, Edward plans to have some fun with the people of Japan before returning to the queen. If you haven’t experience the story of the warring states this is both the game for you and not the game. It doesn’t cover a huge extent of the war so you’ll be missing some story; however, it is one of the more serious telling of the tale. This is also one of the more fictional renditions; the outcome is the same, but with the addition of England's plans and the Oni the story tends to diverge from history. The best moment of the story come from the inner thoughts of historical figures and the guardian spirits you’ll obtain throughout the game. Overall it’s a really fast paced and fun story to go through, but for some it may feel very familiar even with the supernatural elements. The same can be said for the characters you’ll meet as you explore Japan.
In Nioh most of the characters you meet are historical figures from Japan. Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hattori Hanzo, you name it; again if you’ve played a samurai warriors game you’ll be use to these names. Though just like the story, the characters are much different in design from the warriors titles. Even their personalities are different. Lets take Tokugawa for example; in the warriors games he’s a very idealistic man who wants an age of peace. He speaks like a classic do good hero. The Tokugawa of Nioh has similar ideals, but he sounds less like a hero and more like a man of war. There are more historic figures then there are original ones; the Oni make up most of the original cast. William, Edward, and a girl name Okatsu make up the three original humans of the cast. As far as development goes don’t expect much from the historic figures; their personality and growth is mainly determined from history and how it was perceived by others. William is the one that develops the most, and in more ways than one. He enters Japan with some interest of it’s customs and practices, but still didn’t pay it much mind. Though near the end of the game he sees Japan as something far greater than what he originally envisioned; not to mention he learns what it means to be a samurai, as well as how to fight as one over the span of his adventure. Overall the characters are really enjoyable, whether it’s pre-existing people, or completely original ones. If you’re looking for a serious action packed story with a set of serious interesting characters then Nioh is right up your alley.
Now given the people behind Nioh you have to wonder what the game is going to look like graphically; I can’t speak for Team Ninja much, but Koei Tecmo has some games that, graphically speaking, are okay. It’s not terrible, but it’s not your triple A quality graphics. So how does Nioh compare? Does it fall in the category of other Koei Tecmo titles? No, Nioh looks amazing; from it’s lighting to it’s set pieces, Nioh was a great visual experience through and through. I especially love the design of the Oni you’ll be facing. From the small mobs of enemies to the bosses; there’s no shortage of nasty monsters who wish to kill you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above are some of these Oni you’ll be facing through Japan; I think the one problem I have with them is that even though there are a decent amount of them you fight the first boss a lot throughout the game. This felt a little lazy; I can understand fighting bosses again at a later level as normal enemies, but it gets boring fighting him over and over. Be it characters, Oni, or the levels you explore Nioh gives you something worth looking at at every turn. As for the soundtrack, I honestly can’t remember the songs that played throughout the game. The only one that comes to mind is the main menu theme, but that’s due to the fact that I don’t have much else to focus on. That being said looking back on the soundtrack it’s really good, but a lot of the music gets re-used in boss fights instead of making new songs for each. I don’t mind this to much, but there are tracks that are used for three to four fights and it feels a little lazy. With that said here are a few selection from the OST.

Overall the visuals and soundtrack are very good; they have their limits, but I can live with those limits. Both are beautiful in their own way and give the game a nice atmosphere. Lastly comes the gameplay; each area is strong in it’s own way, but overall the gameplay is where Nioh shines.
Nioh is an action RPG where you must utilize the weapons and amrita you acquire to push farther into Japan. For me I used the sword through most of the game. I feel like the way the gameplay falls short is it’s weapons. Some weapons feel far better than others and I find it harder to play the other weapons. That is why I ended up going to the sword. It’s easy and an all around great weapon. The other weapons of note, for me, were the spear and the dual swords. They have the speed and technique to push fights in your favor; though you exchange a little damage to achieve those. In Nioh you get Amrita for killing enemies and you use this to level up your stats. This is where the souls like elements come in. If you die you must retrieve your amrita from your corpse, as well as the guardian spirit who is with you. If you don’t you can’t level up or get the benefits of your spirit. Then with enough amrita you can bump up a stat like strength or speed. Other than this it’s a basic action hack and slash; attack when there is an opening, and dodge or guard when needed. The game wasn’t to terribly difficult for me, but for some friends of mine it proved to be a challenge. If you play this don’t go in expecting to play something like dark souls; you’ll be in for a rude awakening. The only thing you should take from that is not to distribute the amrita evenly; focus on one style/weapon. If you don’t like what you built you can always try something new later if you have the item for it. This game is a lot of trial and error; know your enemy, how they move and attack, what elements they’re weak to, and what ailments can be inflicted. If you go in prepared you are in for a fun fast paced experience. Near the end of the game they will give you some hard side quests to do. Instead of fighting the fight normally I had to use cheap means to win. Other then that I had a great time through; no bugs or glitches to stop me in my journey, it was all just one smooth ride. Overall I really enjoyed playing Nioh; from start to finish I had a blast. It was fast yet satisfying; not to difficult, but provided a challenge every now and then.
It’s not perfect, but the game gave me little to no problems; I’d give Nioh a 9 out of 10; it’s an amazing game that’s endless amounts of fun be it on your own or with a friend. It’s time consuming, but it’s filled with content for you to play. I highly recommend Nioh to those looking for something for next gen; it’s not for eveyone, but it’s one of the more recent games that I feel everyone should at least try.
Next week will be the review for Complex Age; I’ve been looking over that one and have come to a conclusion on what I’m planning in the future. Other then that however have a nice day and I’ll see you soon.
