I adjusted the "Surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown" by John Trumbull to display the accurate height discrepancy between Hamilton and Laurens.

The left is without accounting for the perspective. Note that their boots are not on a level field. Laurens is set further in the foreground, while Hamilton is set further back. The right accounts for this difference by making their feet level.

Hamilton therefore comes to about the height of Laurens' shoulders or chin, but I had to guesstimate based on the hats.
