i know what adam nagaitis meant by eating people on a boat doesn't make you a bad person but i love it as an out of context soundbite. free my man he did it but it's not indicative of his moral character
#ignore me#like iirc he was talking abt alt universes and how hickey would not necessarily be a murderer in a diff setting & circumstances#- EXTREMELY compelling to me as an aside i love thinking about how shaped we are by our circumstances and how different we could be -#but i digress. cannibalism is literally fine

In addition to that last ask as well:
If you were on a whaling ship that was just destroyed but actually good news: There are whaleboats which you're on with a few crew members. All of that having happened in the middle of the Pacific, you somehow survive. How?
Well, using the knowledge of what to do when shipwrecked and in small boats from Endurance, and using the knowledge of what not to do from In the Heart of the Sea, we tie those boats together and don't let anybody drift off.
However, let's hope and pray that there are other whalers, or perhaps some helpful locals in cool outrigger canoes, in the area. Otherwise, I think you and I both know what comes next.
Thank you so much, @alienmythologist!
