blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most):

I LOVE SPUNCHBOP ^_^ 🧽💛🧨 he is nice... and pretty. his eyes are blue and he likes hamburgers and working at a restaurant. like me. he looks soft and has elegant little hands. and. his shoes are shiny. he is so happy and i am so sad and i almost think i could be happy just because he is. but he is kind of just a guy, you know? with a life and a house and job and stuff. i like that about him. maybe life is uniquely hard for him because he is so silly but that's okay. the world has space for silly people in it. it needs silly people in it and joyful people in it and hardworking people and even sad people. it needs spongebop and maybe it even needs me. i like the way he dresses it's similar to the clothes i like. he is so... pretty. he is good at talking. i like him. i want to see him all the time

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): this is also spongebob 👍 he is the most shaped. that shap is square. you understand me.

actually specifically i think the patrick star show spongebob design is really really cute. he is so tiny and politely dressed. i don't really like the show itself though which is a dreadful shame because conceptually i would love to watch a whole show of nothing but patrick. to some extent gary is also a scrunkly to me

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): karen should have a major role in Every Episode. i like karen so much she's my silly rabbit and i NEED to chill and hang out with her. i like when she's happy ^_^ it's cute

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): SPONGEBOT... binary bottom in general. mfw i'm obsessed with a character that showed up for one (1) episode. i love the way he'll repeat certain phrases in the same tone (e.g. "morning squidbot!" "excuse me! pardon me.") and glitch/stutter over some words it's very cute and somehow satisfying to me. i also like that his design features a lot of circular shapes (maybe to compensate for the lack of pores?) and his wheels squeak like spongebob's shoes. oh oh and the antenna i like the detail where when he gets stressed out over squidbot and robogary falling in the fryer he starts tugging on the antenna. overall he really encapsulates the idea of an overexcitable little robot and i love him so much

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): when has there been a problematic character is spongebob. oh, squilliam. for a long time i kind of didn't get the hold he has over spongefans when he shows up in like 4 episodes. i get it now though he serves so much. i like that he's kind of nice to spongebob it's funny and contrasts nicely to squidward. would have liked it if there was an episode featuring spongebob and squilliam i want to know more

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): umm i don't know. mr krasp? squitwirt already has this happen to him every single day and with what my next answer it would seem like i don't love him (i do so much. but his suffering is often to my amusement i'm sory squitwart) there's a scene in sponge out of water of him slipping around on a sunbathing woman's back and as cringy as it is to watch i think it really captures something about him (slippery and wet)

hey! do you have any tips for artists? im not at all a beginner but i haven't been seeing much improvement in the past year or so and i am having a hard time improving. thank you! <3

umm yeah i have few that have helped me over the years:

for every work you do, do something new. i'd recommend doing something small such as tiny object rather than anything major like a whole environment. this is so you don't get frustrated and over time your visual library expands so those previously frustrating new things will get easier to tackle.

try new things outside art. it makes you think outside the box how you view things when creating. You don't need to start a completely new hobby but just try new things at least once and you don't only gain new skill but are now able to apply what you learnt to your previous ones. for me, 3D modeling improved my spatial perception and plantcare has given me better visual library.

try different art styles as well! again, expands visual library and skill sets and also is fun! i've started doing pixel art and i definitely feel it helps me improve my understanding of color theory and shape language.

going from doing all new things: getting hyperfixated on something and doing that over and over again can actually be a good thing. imo it just mainly is good bc it keeps your drive going and one of the key ingredients for improvement is to have a motivation to do art. imho my obsession with asra has been one of the biggest reasons why i've had any art improvement over the years bc i never get enough of him so i really can't get an artblock when that blorbo has spread into my brain like a mold does to bread.

sometimes also best way to improve is just stepping away. this advice really goes out to those times you feel burnt out/frustrated. and goes hand in hand with trying out new things. sometimes in order to improve your skills means going hanging out with your friends because we can't be creative 24/7/365

stepping back and analyzing your own art and then making plans on what kind of improvement you want to focus in. it's really hard to actually improve if you don't have a plan how to do it. so if you feel like you need to focus on doing better linework, focus on that and once you feel like you are not improving again, step back, analyze and find the new thing to focus on.

i hope these can help you! for me, these are the guides that I swear by but we all are different and have to find what works best for us and what doesn't. for some, doing studies like croquis and drawing apples is their holy grail to improvement but for me, I do studies mainly only in school when forced to and independently maybe once a year. Not saying they don't work (they do) but in my case doing constantly would bore me out and I prefer doing them every once in a while to more so to test where my skills are and what i need to improve in.

yugi IS a better duelist than atem. some of you know this and are correct, but many people out there are blind to the truth.

My Canon OTP:

very funny to me that there are literally no canon ships in yugioh. takahashi was like "ok i'm gonna set up the barebones for some ships" and then he just. never came back to them ever. the peachshipping scene in duelist kingdom is so cute and then it just never happens again. iconic. in my mind puzzle is canon tho so i'll go w/ that <3

it's still puzzle! they're everything 2 me. in theory i like lots of other ygo ships but i only ever actually read or care about puzzle sorry

island mode is so funny actually, komaeda is a horrible guy to date. anywhere you take him there's like a 50/50 chance of him being like. god this sucks i thought you liked me but i guess you hate me goodbye forever. and then hinata shakes it off and goes out with him again. over and over. obsessed with the unpredictability of this man. he is SO bitchy and high maintenance and yet we cannot stay away

What makes me sad about them:

komaeda's attitude change post-final dead room is really both funny and very sad to play. one day he's your insane bestie who loves you so much and the next day he's like actually i hate you, you are a worthless little worm with no talent and i can't fucking stand being in the same room with you. :((((((((( bestie don't say that

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

you can't make komaeda normal. please god you cannot do that to him. i'm so utterly obsessed with everything that's wrong with him that if you try to fix him, i will simply not read it

Things I look for in fanfic:

i really like it when fic writers are able to turn the funny repeated voice lines like "THAT'S WRONG!!!!" or "I AGREE WITH THAT!" into plot-relevant and emotionally affecting moments

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

tbh i don't think komaeda could be with anyone else. hinata theoretically could go out w/ other characters, esp chiaki, but i wouldn't really care. hinanami is far too normal for me, it's the insanity of komaeda that really draws me in, so hinata could definitely go out w/ nanami, i simply would not read it or care about it

My happily ever after for them:

i guess they cure komaeda's cancer and get him to a more functional but still insane mental state and then they hang out and bother each other forever. they get married someday and komaeda still says the usual komaeda shit about "wow i'm so happy right now, i wonder who's going to die because of this :)"

i literally cannot stand him. he may be one of my least favorite fictional characters ever written. he sucks so bad that he drives me completely insane every second he's on screen. i would kill him if i saw him irl
