Grave robbery is not unheard of, for the desperate derelicts of The Rotway are not beyond any means of fulfilling their addictions, but this hollow in the dirt bears no resemblance to that of an ordinary dig.

Usually they stick to the graves of Fangs, of those known to be infected without question. They have no reason to dig up someone like Pennant, blood pure and untainted.

Damp, loose soil at the grave’s edge sinks in the distinct shape of hand prints, fingers clawing their way up and out of the ground.

As if Pennant has risen from the dead.
