South-Bound Polecat
Title: South-Bound Polecat
Words: 1.6k
Summary: Sy is furious you’re not taking better care of yourself.
Paring: Syverson x reader
Warnings: Disordered eating
A/N: Based off of this post. Comments welcome. Thanks for reading!
Setting down your oversized bag on the bench near the door, you then leaned over to tug off your heels. You moaned out loud and stretched your toes, unbuttoning your suit jacket. Sy came around the corner and leaned against the double door frame leading out to the hall. Arms folded across his chest, he tilted his wrist and checked the time.
“It’s 9:30,” he complained, watching you shrug out of your jacket. “You said you’d be home three hours ago.”
“I know my love. I’m so sorry.” You came to him and lifted up onto your toes to gently kiss his bottom lip. “Time just got away from me. Good news is that I got all of the quizzes graded and entered into the system.”
“You’re runnin’ yourself ragged, babe.”
“I’ll be fine, darling. I just need a hot bath and then to fall into bed.”
“I grilled steaks for us tonight,” he called up the stairs after you, “three and a half hours ago.”
Ever the keen observer, he caught the scent of - what was that? Ranch dressing? Instead of heading back to the couch, he thumbed open your bag to find the offending smell.
Since he was back from deployment and had more free time than ever, he took it upon himself to look after you like he always said he wanted to. And like you apparently needed. He’d taken to waking on schedule, hours well ahead of you, and he’d go for a run, have a shower, and sip coffee while making your breakfast - usually a smoothie because you flat out told him your “nervous stomach” couldn’t handle eating real breakfast with him.
Every morning he’d pack a lunch for you too. He thought of it as an extra little reminder during the day of how he cared for you by taking the time to slice up thin baby carrot sticks or apple slices earlier that morning.
He sighed a gruff sound, peeling sticky note reminders off of the cracked open container. Ranch dressing had spilled out and leaked all over inside your bag. He popped open the container heading out to the kitchen, discovering you’d not even touched any of the chicken tenders he’d made. That made three times this week that you hadn’t eaten lunch.
When he was all done cleaning up, he sat on the couch and flicked through channels mindlessly. It wasn’t long before he heard the familiar padding of feet coming downstairs and wandering over to the fridge to scrounge for food before bed.
“Babe?” you called, pouring yourself some water. “Any more of that steak? Oh nevermind I found it.”
Coming to the couch in his t-shirt and freshly washed hair, you slide some of the thinly sliced meat into your mouth and cooed, tasting the salty goodness of the rub he’d seared it with. You fold your legs under you as you come to sit next to him, mesmerized by the football game on the screen.
He sat a few long minutes, arm thrown over the back of the couch, and watched you devour the sweet potato fries, steak, and grilled pineapple. Sliding your plate onto the coffee table, you sighed and laid down, using his muscular thigh as a pillow.
Two minutes into the game and you were rolling over onto your side, drawing your knees up and whining about a stomach ache.
“Course it hurts, bug. You just inhaled dinner. You know you’d not come home every night ready to eat the north end of a south-bound polecat if you’d just dig in to the lunches I been makin’ ya.”
You sighed and rubbed your cheek against his leg. “I know. I just get busy…”
“Ain’t nothin’ I ever heard about in your particular line of work that means you can’t stop for 10 minutes to get chow.”
Sitting up, you didn’t have much fight in you between the stomach ache and exhaustion, but still you want him to understand. “Lunch is the only time I can get stuff done. They’ve taken away my planning period. I have to get papers graded. I’ll try to be better about eating but…”
“You an’ I both know ‘try’ is about as worthless as tits on a bull,” he huffed, flexing his fingers over the couch armrest.
Stunned, you gave him a wide eyed look and pulled the damp hair from your face. “Sy, are you angry at me?”
“Geez, woman!” Yes, he was in fact angry. “All I’m asking is for you to look after yourself better. I’m not askin’ for the gotdamn moon!”
He stood up abruptly and paused halfway out of the room. Even in the dim light you could see the muscles across his back were tense and twitching. His fists were balled up and his whole body was rigid.
Your Sy had a temper and there were times when that rage benefitted both him and the men and women who served under his command. His unit needed the discipline he provided because every last one of them knew the training built trust that kept them alive even in the most desperate situations. Most of the time his temperament was fairly sanguine as a natural leader and his charisma was enough to get the job done. If pressed, however, he could and did square up with any soldier who dared to step over the line and disrespect him, the position he held, or ignore instructions given. Even the charisma was calculated. There was never a moment of downtime even if he appeared relaxed.
That’s what frustrated him so damn much dealing with you. He planned to look after you, calculated to make sure you were prepared for long days you faced on your own front line of sorts. He wanted you to feel that same kind of “until the end of the line” support that his unit felt when they trained, when they fought, and when they had down time. Together.
That was the thing - he couldn’t do any of that from home while you went to a school campus. You had no down time together other than collapsing in his arms always for sleep. And he sure as hell couldn’t engage in any kind of training like he was used to. The one and only time he barked at you was earlier on in your relationship, over something altogether innocuous, like how the ladder wasn’t set properly when you climbed up to wash windows. He was correct and it was unsafe but the delivery sent ice through your veins. When you climbed down and approached him, shuddering with fear and bottom lip quivering, his heart broke in two.
He spent the rest of that night cuddling you up in his bear arms, nuzzling your neck and barely speaking above a whisper. He swore he’d never raise his voice to you like that ever again.
When things came across like this not eating lunch thing, it was difficult for him. What was that bullshit book you made mention of about love languages? His was clearly acts of service; why weren’t you seeing that?
I make you lunches because I want to provide for you. I want you to feel supported and loved even when I can’t physically be with you.
That’s what he wanted to say; what he meant to say every time he closed the lid on those containers and slipped them into your bag as you ran out the door and forgot your smoothie.
For you not to even have opened them? Whether you meant to or not, he felt flat out rejected. Did you really not want him? He tried so hard in his own way to tell you how desperately he loved you. But it felt like you couldn’t be bothered enough to care, hence ranch dressing spilled in your bag.
“I’m goin’ to bed,” he sighed. “Night, bug.”
Ten minutes later, he heard the bathroom sink and then the sheets being lifted as you silently slid in on your side of the bed. He faced away, feeling like sinking down into himself and closed his eyes.
Twenty minutes later, he heard a faint whimper as you curled up smaller in your sleep and began to rock yourself. Sitting up, he glanced over his shoulder and sighed. Your belly must have still ached.
Rolling over, he pulled you close and turned your body over so he could rub his large hand over your stomach soothingly.
He felt your little gasp and fingers curl against his chest when you woke with a start. “Mm I… bad dream…” you mumbled. He wrapped a steady arm behind your back so you could use his bicep as a pillow while he rubbed your midriff.
“I know, babe. Shh you’re safe…” he whispered, pressing his cheek to your forehead.
“Please don’t be mad,” you sniffled barely awake, pressing your nose into his neck. “I love you.”
Even barely awake, you said it so easily. It felt like a miracle every time the words fell over your beautiful lips. He tucked a hand behind your head and kissed your forehead gently. “I love you, bug.”
You cooed and settled down, drifting fast now that you were tucked into him.
“Can I take you out for lunch tomorrow?”
“Mm… sounds nice…” you sighed one last time before passing out completely.
He could not have been more awake, however.
His cheeks burned and something tightened in his throat - what was that - choked up like tears? Even if you didn’t remember it, he’d managed to say it out loud.
I love you, bug.
But you remembered.

FAQ
Q.) Who runs this blog?
A.) I do not disclose who runs this blog, such as my Chickensmoothie username, tumblr user, and any social medias.
Q.) Can I apply for a mod position?
A.) Sorry, it’s not open for these at this time, and probably not in the future :c This blog is managed single handed, and is actually a place to get things off my chest.
Q.) Does OP bite?
A.) Nope! I admit I’m chaotic good, and hate to see kids being scammed. You’re more than welcome to interact, I don’t bite! I go by he/him pronouns, feel free to call me “Chaos”.
Q.) Is there any rules of conduct for this blog?
A.) Please see above, under the heading: “Blog rules, disclaimers, and conduct.” in this post.
Q.) What are the rules for asks/submissions?
A.) See below, at the large heading “Ask/submission rules” in this post.
Q.) Why are you against ninja trading?
A.) Ninja trading is another type of scamming, to take advantage of other players by offering crummy pets to the user’s rarest pets. (For example, a user who doesn’t know that their pet they got on December 18th is a list pet, then another user sends a trade with random rares that doesn’t equal to the list pet to the player. If they player accepts, they got scammed out of their list pet for a bunch of terrible ones.) This commonly occurs to newer players, and this scamming practice is done by players who know what the pet is worth. As for all types of scams: There is no excuse/reasoning that this is okay to do.
Q.) How do I send in a submission about someone scamming/ninja trading? What about anything concerning such as content in their signature or about art theft?
A.) Check here for sending in stuff for scammers and ninja traders: https://chickensmoothie-hell.tumblr.com/post/180539620621/december-18th-2018-is-coming As for art thieves and anything else concerning, see the heading “Ask and submission rules” heading at the bottom of this post.
Q.) Why are you against greedy demand?
A.) Greedy demand is basically driving up the cost of a pet, making players fork over much more rarer pets than what the pet’s value REALLY is. (Example: People are claiming Raven dog is worth a non, but it’s actually not that rare.) Users that practice this on purpose are actually scamming others for their crummy pet to get better pets. Demand does NOT equal rarity. Demand is USER based.
Q.) Are you against hoarding?
A.) My answer has changed for this many times, but I’m okay with hoarding. Even for Rare+ hoards. You might see old posts on this blog that’s different, but that was then. The only time I’m against hoarding is if someone is trying to hoard list and store list pets in order to remove them from the economy, and to purposely use greedy demand if they wish to trade one away. If you hoard store pets, go for it! If you like the pet because of it’s design, go for it! If you hoard ex-lists, go for it! If you wanna hoard for fun, go for it! <3 I actually do hoards, and I even recently started hoarding the 2019 store deer! It’s fun and a challenge. In shorter terms, just don’t purposely hoard with the intent to purposely kill the pet’s value by slapping your greedy demand on it. But hoarding for fun or just simply you love the pet? Go for it! <3
Ask and submission rules
To have your ask/submission posted, you MUST follow these guidelines:
- Submissions must be tagged accordingly. If you don’t know what to tag, tag it in these three tags: chickensmoothie, chicken smoothie, submission. - No threats like killing, telling to kill themselves, harm, etc… - No slurs. (Profanity IS allowed, as long you’re not saying it every sentence and using it to insult others.) - No using your opinion to harm/insult others. This is considered salt, and I don’t allow anything like this. - When calling out a scammer/ninja trader, proof is required. Include the following when making a post: * Link(s) to trade(s) and screenshot(s) of the trade(s) that includes the trade message. * Make sure to provide the scammer’s/ninja trader’s account #ID, since usernames can be changed easily. * (I know I have some posts reblogged without it, these are speculations and they were posted from a LONG time ago when I started this blog. If you can’t post proof, simply explain what’s going on and I can try to dig some proof. If I cannot find any proof, I will privately respond.)
- When calling out an art thief, include the following: * Screenshots of the stolen work and the original works. * Usernames of the art thief and the user(s) they’re stealing from. * Include the art thief's account #ID and username.
- *NEW* Any posts of touchy subjects to spark debate, such as politics, prolife vs prochoice, religion, and any other controversial subjects are not allowed. However, if you do see a user who is explicitly showing anything concerning on their profile/sig, you may submit it. Chickensmoothie is a kid’s site, and having anything homophobic, hatred and political shouldn’t be there. (It’s my personal opinion, I honestly use CS to get away from reality. My country sucks currently and it drives my anxiety up the wall) In other words, calling out users for having that stuff is okay, BUT don’t try and start a debate on this blog or with me. For the sake of this blog, I’m politically neutral. - *NEW* It’s okay to have an opposing opinion, but do not abuse it to insult others and to disrespect. You do have a right to Freedom of speech, but it does not protect you from any consequences if you use your opinion to harm others. I actually enjoy civil and friendly discussions, but heated debates are not allowed on this blog. It’s okay to not like something, not everyone likes everything. <3 If in doubt, just ignore. Other than that, you’re welcome to voice your opinion! Keep in mind that I will stay neutral for the sake of this blog.
—-Other disclaimers—-
- This blog was originally to take things off my chest, but now it’s a humor blog to showcase the oddest posts on chickensmoothie, and to warn anyone on any scammers and ninja traders, to even art thieves. -
- Please do not ask for my chickensmoothie username, this is for my protection, since anything can happen on the internet. -
- Disrespectful opinions/attacks against this blog and their posts are not tolerated. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to things. -
- This blog reserves the right to not answer/post any asks/submissions that is felt too extreme. Any asks/submissions just to cyberbully others is not accepted. -
- This blog has the right to block/blacklist anyone that breaks these rules, even if it’s in the form of replying/reblog replies. -

1. What are three Netflix shows that they’ve rated five stars? the walking dead, american horror story, stranger things. there are a few others ones but these are her absolute favorites.
2. Where do they prefer to read? On the sofa, in bed, at a table, on the porch, in a cafe? claire's not really a big reader, so it doesn't make much of a difference to her --- if she had to pick, though, she'd probably choose at a table, in a nice quiet. the bed and sofa are too comfy, easy for her to doze off if the book is extra boring, wheras it's a bit easier to stay alert at a table. if it's too noisy though, it becomes diffucult for her to focus on the book.
3. Do they like to play games? What kind of games: video, card, board? What are some of their favorites? claire loves to play games, so long as there's some sort of challenge, and a clear winner or loser. she loves all sorts of games, although card and board games are her favorites; she's become quite the poker player thanks to years of being around the boys, and monopoly and risk have been her shit since she was a little kid.
4. What’s their food weakness? What food can they never turn down?honestly she doesn't really have a food weakness? i guess if anything, trail mix, it's her favorite snack and she doesn't worry so much about portion control with it. she's also a bit of a sucker for freshly made fish fry, although she won't eat a large portion, and it has to be made just the right way.
5. Do they prefer movies or TV shows? Why? personally claire tends to lean towards movies, for the simple reason that she finds it difficult to keep up with tv shows due to her hectic life ; while she does like that tv shows tend to incorporate better plotlines and more little details, it's easier to sit down and watch a two hour movie than a twenty-two episode season.
6. What holiday is their favorite? Which is their least favorite? while she's not a super big holiday celebrator, claire's got a bit of a soft spot for the fourth of july; the always have a big bonfire, and her uncle sam pulls out the grill, and there's fireworks. it's always a good time. she was also quite found of halloween when she was younger though, mostly for the costumes. if anything, thanksgiving would probably be her least favorite, just because she doesn't get as excited about the food as everyone else.
7. What’s their diet like? Are they vegetarian, vegan? Do they have any food allergies that make them have a special diet? claire runs a very strict and healthy diet due to her dance training; it consists mostly of a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, white meat, protein, etc. while she's not a vegetarian, she doesn't eat a lot of meat, and when she does, it's mostly white meats like turkey or chicken. it's a very rare occurence she'll touch red meat, just out of preference. she doesn't have any food allergies anyone, although she was had a bit of a lactose intolerance when she was a child that sometimes flairs up nowadays.
8. What sort of toys did they play with as a child? claire was a bit of a stereotypical girl; she was all about her barbies, stuffed animals, princesses, that kind of stuff. she was especially found of a ballet-themed barbie doll her friend leslie had gifted her, and a stuffed wolf quil had given her when she was little.
9. How often do they go grocery shopping? Do they tend to do one large trip, or smaller ones throughout the week? claire will normally do one or two smaller trips throughout the week, and maybe one large trip every month or so to pick up some of the non-perishable stuff. because her diets consists of a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and perishable items, it makes more sense to do smaller trips instead of trying to buy a shit ton of it just for it to all good bad on her.
10. Do they eat breakfast? What’s a typical breakfast look like for them? breakfast is the one meal claire very rarely skips, although she keeps it light; just a bit of granola and yogurt usually, maybe a smoothie once in a while.
11. Do they like going to museums? What type of museums do they like to go to? Art, science, historical; interactive, quiet, a mix? while not an avid museum go-er, claire typically won't complain about going to one, depending on the topic of the museum. she tends to like the art ones the best, although the historical ones can sometimes be interesting too. a nice mix of interactive and quiet works for her; she doesn't like when they get overcrowded, and she doesn't like the ones where you just stand there and stare at stuff.
12. How do they organize their books? Alphabetical by author, by title? By size, color, date published? Is there any rhyme or reason? claire doesn't have a whole lot of books to organize since she's not a big readers, but she organizes them alphabetically, first by author and then by title. there's no real reason for it, it's just how she likes to do it, and it settles her slightly ocd mind.
13. Have they ever been do Disney World/Land, or any other amusement park? What do they prefer to do at them: go on the rides, play the games, eat the food? she's been to disneyland twice in her life, and to a few other, smaller amusement parks a few times as well. mostly she likes to go to these kinds of things for the rides and games; she can get quite competitive in trying to get the prize she wants, and well, the rides are just fun.
14. How do they eat their popcorn? What do they put on it? claire tends to eat her popcorn plain, maybe with just a little bit of salt on it if anything. she's not big on butter or all those seasonings that are out there.
15. When do they pay their bills? As soon as the bill comes in? At the last moment? Or are most of their bills automatically taken out of their account? claire has her bills set to be automatically taken out of her account, not because she doubts her ability to remember to pay them on time (she prides herself on never forgetting deadlines) but just because it's one less thing on her mind.
16. What time do they normally go to bed? How many hours of sleep do they usually need to function in the morning? she normally tries to get to bed between 10 and 12 o'clock, although she tends to have a hard time falling asleep most nights. still, she typicallly gets around five or six hours of sleep, although she can function on less than three (no less than two, though), and has on more than one occasion --- it just requires A LOT of coffee.
17. Do they have cable, or do they rely mostly on Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services? claire doesn't see the point in investing in cable, given how rarely she actually watches tv. she does have a netflix account, and tends to use it for the majority of her tv/movie viewing pleasures.
18. What is their preferred weather? What would be a perfect weather day? if there's one thing claire loves about wasington, it's the constant overcast and regular rain. she's not big into sunny and hot days, as she doesn't like running the risk of a sunburn or sweating profusely when just sitting there doing nothing --- but she's not the biggest fan of freezing temperatures, snow and ice, all that lovely stuff either. so the somewhat dreary weather that seems to surround her hometown is perfect for her.
19. Are they more of a snacker throughout the day, or they eat three meals and call it a day? neither, really; she's the 'maybe eat one or two meals a day and call it done' kind of girl. once she gets her eating habits back on track though, she opts for more snacking/small meals in lieu of the traditional three meals, as it's suggested to better contain appetite and to be the healthier route.
20. Have they ever had an imaginary friend? no; at least, not that she can remember. she was more of the 'pretend my dolls and stuffed animals are alive' kind of girl.
21. What were they a part of in high school/college, if they went? Were they a part of any clubs, did they play any sports? What clique would they have been considered a part of? claire doesn't really do any types of clubs, her only real activity being her dance; she takes lessons at the local studio, and partipates in competitions across the nation. because of how much time her training takes, it doesn't leave a lot of time for other extracurriculars. in regards to cliques, she's kind of part of her own litle clique formed up of friends from dance class; but if you wanted to type case them, they'd probably fit into the artsy/theater kids stereotypes, especially since a good majority of them are part of the school's drama program.
22. Do they have a favorite restaurant? How often do they go to it, and what’s their usual order? her all-time favorite restaurant is probably this little thai restaurant up in port angeles. whenever she's in the city, she allows herself a splurge day to eat out there, ordering a different dish everytime. it's a very rare opportunity she actually gets to eat there, just because she doesn't go into the city very often. her second favorite restaurant, where she actually does it fairly regularly, is the forks diner; it's proven to be a perfect settlemet for her and quil as they offer a wide selection of healthier options for herself, while also offering some of his favorites. she'll normally order a veggie burger and a salad, although sometimes she likes to mix it up.
23. How do they prefer to watch movies? In the theater, on a streaming site, from an owned DVD/digital download, rented from somewhere? honestly, she doesn't have much of a preference, although at home is usually the way to go, either from a dvd or something she's found on netflix. it has to be a really good movie for her to want to go see it in theaters. there's just something a bit more comfortable about watching at home, with her own snacks, no crowded theatres, being able to talk to whoever she's watching with and make commentary on the movie. plus with the shit that's coming out nowadays, she can't justify paying to go see most of it in theatres.
24. Do they watch any sports? What are they a fan of, and what teams do they root for? Do they watch the games/matches on TV or do they try to be there for some in person? Do they just catch the highlights on their phone later on? claire's not a big sports fan; in fact, she's not even a little sports fan. she finds them quite boring to be perfectly honest, and can't be bothered to waste her time watching them, save the occasional school football or basketball game (and even then, she mostly just goes to hang out with her friends, and pays little attention to the game).
25. What do they prefer to do in the summertime? Do they like going to the beach, do they prefer camping, staying in the city? Do they like to stay indoors and away from the heat? claire likes to keep busy in the summertime, mostly by doing a bit of travelling, and then outdoors activity; she's constantly talking quil or one of the other guys into joining her for hikes, jogs, cliff-diving, going to the beach, swimming, etc. her evenings are usually spend just relaxing on the porch with her friends, maybe playing some games or something, and the occasional bonfire & cook out.

🍬🍕🍔CRAVING BUSTERS🍔🍕🍬
I have three things I make for cravings, and these are for when I’m dying to binge and neeeeed something to taste.
🍬 ACV Magic -2tbs Apple cider vinegar - small amount of sweetener - dash of cinnamon - 6-8oz or hot or cold water Tastes like apple pie, and good cold or hot! Kills cravings and helps kill appetite
🍕 Heavy Hitter - 2tbs peanut butter - small blob honey - a few nuts or cranberries Helps kill cravings for heavier foods like pastas and pizza and baked goods, and gives a little protein/sugar boost to keep your energy up.
🍔 Carnivore -few slices deli meat - thin slice cheese (like paper) - pickle spear (optional) - small but of mustard (grey poupon is best) Roll the meat with some mustard on it and the cheese around the pickle for a crunchy snack to curb cravings for sandwiches, burgers, steaks, ects.
❌🚫❎FASTING:❎🚫❌
DO NOT ❌ never try to drive during a fast ❌ never make fasting more important than safety ❌ don’t go over 36hrs or you risk going into starvation mode (stores fat) ❌ don’t over exercise when fasting, you could pass out and get hurt, keep it mild ❌ don’t fast on test days or busy work days, your performance suffers ❌ don’t feel forced to fast by anyone ❌ dont purge if you break a fast with a binge ❌ do not deprive yourself of vitamins on a fast, even if they have calories or you have to take them with milk. ❌do not fast after a bad binge, this is super harmful as it cause your stomach to swell and shrink suddenly and it’s actually another form of bulimia. Fasts should be planned after a day of your normal (and healthy food only) calorie intake
TIPS 🚫 drink your tea first thing in the morning, and take vitamins early 🚫 use a water bottle that you know contains a certain number of oz (mine has 32oz) and don’t or other sip off it 🚫 use a wet erase marker on your water bottle to tally the number of refills you’ve done for water in the day 🚫 use the ACV magic for cravings 🚫 drink lots of green tea 🚫 take melatonin before bed so hunger doesnt keep you awake 🚫 start your fast 4hrs before sleep, the night automatically gives you a 8-12 hour fast. Continue to fast up till 36hrs. But at least that minimum. 🚫 use fire teas or detox teas 🚫 (i) take laxatives (you should not) 🚫 stay busy 🚫 use the prebinge list 🚫 if i insist on eating, start with the craving busters or fruits/veggies 🚫 fast on days off, so you can choose how to distract yourself 🚫 set a timer on your phone or tally the hours with a pen on your arm, it helps keep you motivated
ALWAYS ❎ drink enough water ❎ let an ana buddy know what your doing for safety reasons ❎ be kind to yourself ❎ weigh before and after a fast ❎ drink green tea ❎ break the fast carefully, with small portions of fruits and veggies or a broth ❎ if doing a 36hr fast, double vitamin intake for those days (not the magnesium though) ❎ keep in mind that hunger pain goes away in about 7-25 seconds ❎ remember you should have been yourself to keep from eating. Do not hit your stomach, cut yourself, or any other harmful thing to avoid food! Please dont.
🐷🐽🐖BINGING🐖🐽🐷
These are things I do to help stop or prevent, or recover from a binge.
BEFORE: 🐽 drink a glass of ice water 🐽 light a candle that is a clean or pungent scent! (Nothing that smells like food) 🐽 boil water for tea (sometimes the act of heating water tricks me into thinking I made food) 🐽 read a book/magazine (i pick new books, they draw me in so I forget how long it’s been) 🐽 drink your tea, but make a bigger cup than normal or make two, it feels like a treat 🐽 find a craft project that gets your hands dirty! If you’re covered in glue, you can’t touch food! 🐽 look at thinspo 🐽 my biggest help is to clean, start vacuuming or dusting or scoop the yard for dog crap or the cat box for poops, or wash Windows or reorganize your clothes (looking at how big the clothes you wear are is also very motivating) 🐽 put on your goal pants! Everyone has a pair. 🐽 take a body check photo 🐽 write down the # of calories you’d be eatting, then figure out how long you’d need to work out to burn that off. If it’ll take more than a set of jumping Jack’s or crunches, don’t eat it 🐽 for every time you open the fridge or cupboard, whether you eat or not, do 25 squats or 25 push ups. 🐽 try the ACV drink or a craving buster 🐽 weigh yourself
DURING: 🐷 if you end up binging, look down at how much you’ve already eaten, if it’s less than half the amount you grabbed then drink warm water with lemon. If it’s over half, drink cold water with lemon. (The hot will help mimic a full tummy and the cold helps your body jump start to burn more calories). Don’t drink both, you may puke. And don’t eat what’s left, duh. 🐷 go eat in front of a mirror. You’ll get like one bite further then stop, I promise. 🐷 ask yourself if you’re willing to eat the same # of calories in carrots. If not, throw the rest out. If so, go get some damn carrots and throw the other crap out. 🐷 if you’re binging because someone asked you to eat, eat some, wait a bit, then claim it made you feel sick like food poisoning. Or say you ate before and are saving the rest for later (throw out later obvs) 🐷 if it’s sweets you grabbed, ask yourself if you would eat the same # of calories in strawberries. If so, go get some fruit! If not, you should remember processed sugar gives you zits and thunder thighs. Not cute. Pizzaface and burgerbutt. Groosss. 🐷 ask yourself, if I saw someone eating this, would I think they’re a pig? If no, then you may actually be eating something good for you. If yes, put the food down, piglet. Grooss. 🐷it’s not too late to make acv magic or tea! 🐷weigh yourself
AFTER: 🐖 drink cold water, slowly, so you don’t puke 🐖 take a walk, even a lap or two around the yard or each room in the house! 🐖 take some magnesium to promote digestive/bowel movements (this is not a laxative, it just helps keep stuff moving) 🐖 after about 40 minutes (so you don’t puke) do 25 sit ups, 25 leg lifts per side, and 25 lunges. Then drink some water and rest 15 minutes. Then repeat, but add 30 jumping jacks. The drink water and rest. Then repeat, but add the jumping Jack’s and hold a plank for 30seconds. If up for it, repeat the cycle from the start one more time. 🐖 Do. Not. Get. Mad. At. Yourself. Depression hinders weight loss, so be gentle on yourself. 🐖 take a bath 🐖 drink tea 🐖 DO NOT PURGE. EVER. 🐖 do some self care 🐖 weigh yourself

10 Ways to Increase Your Fruit and Veggie Intake
For those who are new to the idea of eating to enhance and support wellness, integrating more veggies into the diet can seem like hard work – and it is if you don’t have a plan! As getting lots of nutrient-rich foods into your body is mission critical, I’ve come up with a few tips on how to painlessly increase your veggie (and some fruit) intake, from sun-up to sun-down. Your mission? Five-to-seven servings of high quality, preferably organic fruits and vegetables every day. Take these tips to heart and in time, eating your daily dose of health-sustaining foods will become your default setting and one that’s all gain, no pain:
1.) Buy more, eat more (veggies, that is)
Just like chips and cookies, the more fruits and veggies in particular you have in the house, the more likely you are to eat them. In other words, leave the bad stuff on the shelf and load the shopping cart with veggies and some fruits (my favorites being the berries). The less access you have to junk food, the more likely it is you’ll make a health-supporting choice when hunger or a late-night craving strikes.
2.) Change your approach
If you’re one of those people who has to fool themselves into eating more fruits and veggies, then make a game of it. Look at every meal or snack you eat and think about where you can sneak in an extra serving of fruits and veggies. Think salads are a bit of a snooze? Then wake ‘em up by tossing in almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, apples, pears, oranges or even some dried cranberries into your salads.
3.) Make cooking ridiculously easy
After shopping, wash and chop your just-bought raw or frozen veggies and store them in the fridge, preferably in glass or BPA-free containers. When it’s time to put a meal together you’ll be able to just grab your pre-prepped, salad-bar style veggies and toss ‘em right into whatever you’re cooking. The result? A much healthier meal with virtually no extra effort. Another bonus? With lots of ready-to-go veggies on hand, you’ll be able to eat perishables in a more timely fashion, so you’ll waste less food.
4.) Make it your way
One thing that I’ve found over the years is that the healthier one’s diet becomes, the less you eat out. The more attention you begin to pay to the quality of the ingredients and how healthfully the food is prepared, the less appealing restaurant dining becomes. Bottom line: You’ll save money and eat better by cooking at home most of the time. When it’s time to go out for a meal, be it a special occasion or treat at the end of a long week, boost the nutrition of your meal and customize it to your specifications by ordering extra vegetables.
5.) Breakfast in 60 seconds
If you have 60 seconds, you have time to blend up a healthy, fruit and fiber-packed breakfast. Reserve a few minutes over the weekend to pre-package your breakfasts for the week so you can move quickly on workday mornings. One of my patients assembles 5 days of smoothie ingredients into individual servings so in the morning all he has to do is grab a container, dump the contents into the blender, add water and press blend. Time elapsed: 1 minute, including blending!
6.) Drink your vegetables
Instead of buying processed, sugared veggie or fruit juices, experiment with whole fruits, veggies and nuts to see how many you can add to super-charge your fruit smoothies with nutrients. Among my favorite, easy-to-blend-in items: avocados, almonds, flax, chia seeds and nut butters, all of which add healthy fats, fiber and nutrients without overwhelming the fruity taste. If you prefer a greener, vegetable taste, either for a smoothie or a power juice, then spinach, powdered greens, mint, carrots, kale, watercress and broccoli are great gifts from the earth that blend beautifully. Another great alternative is a powdered greens drink which will usually contain the equivalent of three or four servings of fruits and vegetables.
7.) Make an eggcellent omelet
If you feel it’s just not breakfast without an egg in it, try going lighter on the eggs and heavy on the vegetables. To add nutrients and mass to your omelets, toss in steamed or lightly sautéed veggies like spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, olives, onions, and garlic for a delicious breakfast that’s really worth eating. Another bonus of a veggie-packed omelet? A big-on-the-plate, hearty breakfast that’s nutrient dense and light on calories.
8.) Take your show on the road
When you leave the house in the morning, in addition to the usual phone-keys-wallet combo, add one more thing to your bag: snacks! A small container of walnuts, almonds, blueberries, cucumber slices, sliced jicama or carrot and celery sticks within arm’s reach will add another serving of fruit and veggies to your day. Better yet, it will help keep you away from the office vending machine. The BE WELL GREENS powdered drink in single serving packets is a great snack and perfect for people on the go. Just pour the packet into a glass, add water and you have an instant delicious (yes it is) vegetable juice.
9.) Cook creatively, dine differently
Update a traditional recipe by tossing as many extra veggies as you can into soups and sauces. Most extra veggies added towards the end of the cooking process won’t change the taste of a dish, so add with abandon. Throw them into a recipe that doesn’t usually include them. For example, add broccoli, mushrooms and cauliflower to a chicken curry or chopped spinach and flax seeds to spaghetti sauce.
10.) Leave room for dessert
A great dessert for instance is a bowl of mixed organic berries with a tablespoon or two of plain unsweetened sheep’s milk yoghurt (and a drizzle of raw honey if you want). It is easy to put together, satisfying and delicious.

The 4 Healthiest Menu Items at Panera Bread (Plus 3 Things to Avoid)
Fast casual dining is taking over, and it makes a lot of sense: When you don’t have time to go to a sit-down restaurant but want to avoid fast food, restaurants like Panera Bread are the perfect solution. But the perception that the cuisine at fast casual establishments is healthier than fast food may or may not be accurate. It all comes down to the ingredients and the nutrition facts. Below, a handful of menu items at Panera Bread that earn higher marks for their clean-ish recipes, macronutrient balance, and portion sizes—plus, a few orders that pack more calories than you might expect.
What to order at Panera Bread
Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken
This salad consists of a base of greens topped with chicken (raised without antibiotics), fresh strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and toasted pecan pieces. Because it’s tossed in fat-free poppyseed dressing, you might want to bump up the good fat a bit by adding avocado. The addition of a quarter of an avocado to a full portion would bring this meal to 397 calories, 18 grams of fat, 34 grams of carb with 8 as fiber, and 30 grams of protein. That’s a nice macro balance, and gets you about a third of the way to the recommended daily fiber goal.
Black Bean Soup
This plant-based, fiber-packed bowl is my pick for the best soup option. I wish that Panera used olive oil instead of corn oil, and skipped add-ins like modified corn starch, but the soup is packed with lots of good stuff: black beans, onions, celery, tomato paste, and potato flour. Because it’s low in fat, I recommend adding avocado. With a quarter of an avocado, the nutrition facts would come to 199 calories, 7 grams of fat, 43 grams of carb with 19 as fiber, and 8 grams of protein.
Peach & Blueberry Smoothie with Almond Milk
This 180-calorie blend is the lowest calorie smoothie at Panera Bread. It combines mango and peach purees with white grape and passionfruit juices, and unsweetened almond milk. While there is no added sugar, one serving packs 43 grams of carb, along with a gram of fat and a few grams of protein. It's a good choice for fueling a longer hike, tennis match, soccer game, or any other similar workout. Because it’s low in protein and fat, I would not recommend this smoothie as a solo breakfast or meal replacement; and the calories and carbs are too high to pair it with a meal as a beverage.
Steel Cut Oatmeal with Almonds, Quinoa & Honey
One of the cleanest and lower-sugar breakfast options at Panera Bread, this bowl is made with steel cut oats, golden and red quinoa, honey, toasted almonds, and cinnamon. It is high-carb at 51 grams, but 8 of those are from fiber, balanced a bit with 7 grams of fat and 8 grams of protein (300 calories total). This would be a good on-the-go breakfast choice en route to an a.m. workout.

3 items for special occasions
Now, here are some comfort foods that probably aren't the right choice when you need a meal that leaves you energized.
Mac & Cheese
A portion of this shell pasta, swimming in cheddar cheese sauce, clocks in at 950 calories (about 60% of a day’s needs for most women), 61 grams of fat, 83 grams of carb with just 2 as fiber, and 33 grams of protein. Despite the high protein content, this heavy dish, which is also lacking in veggies, may leave you feeling sleepy and sluggish.
Steak & White Cheddar Panini
This hoagie roll filled with beef sirloin tip, white cheddar cheese, and horseradish sauce contains 940 calories, 48 grams of fat, 79 grams of carb with 5 as fiber, and 46 grams of protein. It’s also provides a whopping 1520 mg of sodium, over 65% of the max recommended intake for healthy adults.
Kitchen Sink Cookie
Aptly named, this treat includes both semi-sweet and milk chocolate, caramel, and pretzel pieces, baked into a salty dough. One cookie contains 800 calories, 44 grams of fat, 97 grams of carb with just 3 as fiber, 8 grams of protein, and 770 mg of sodium. That’s more than twice the calories in Panera Bread's Chocolate Chipper Cookie, and nearly six times the calorie count of the Coconut Macaroon.

october: week one
02: i woke up real awake but still sore... i went to the fitness center and did my butt workout anyway. i had to quit before finishing all of the exercises because i think i wasn’t at 100% and i also tried squatting and deadlifting 5 lbs heavier and i wore myself out. i’m debating whether i should rest or do my other 30 minute session later today. :/ i also had a lot of work to do before 2 pm today and i needed to be on my computer early so i had to leave right at around 30 minutes. i felt a bit nauseous and weak (maybe side effects from throwing up yesterday) and made breakfast asap. i showered and then made smoothies for breakfast. i hopped on a call with phil right as kevin left for work and then i just had laser focus on work for the rest of the day until 4 pm. i was pretty dead after. x__X tomorrow is also the first day of me leading training. i hope i don’t go too fast. i waited for kevin to come home and then i went to do a second leg session with a portion of the first session’s superset i didn’t finish. i felt okay. i used lighter weights and whatnot. near the end of my workout, i felt like i did good today LOL.
i got back, took out the ingredients for apple pie, showered, and went straight to baking. we bought the crust for the pie so all i had to do was cut the apples and make the sauce / filling. i used only northern spy apples for this pie because one of the workers at the orchard raved about them and when i looked online, i found out that they are popular pie apples. i tasted them while i was cooking and boy, these apples are delicious! so i sliced the apples, made the sauce, and then put the top crust on terribly LOL and popped it into the oven. kevin’s braised pork with apple was going to take a long time to cook so i popped in some chicken nuggets as well. we realized that it’d be too late to eat the pork for today’s dinner so i made rice and steamed some veggies and we’d eat leftover braised beef from the rice cake soup. kevin went to run and i just chilled out until he came back to eat dinner. oh, the apple pie baked in an hour and it is delicious! i think it’s a bit too sweet for my taste but kevin loves it :) we ate dinner ate like 10 pm while watching an episode of westworld and my stomach just kinda died. idk, i was cramping or something... i felt terrible when i went to sleep.
03: i am super exhausted and tired for some reason and my stomach still hurts. i’m definitely gonna take it easy today. i slept in this morning but got up in time to prepare myself for the first day of leading training. i made breakfast for myself after kevin left and then hopped on the 2 hour training session. it went pretty well! phil said my pace was great and i did amazing (: he also said that i made him feel relaxed, which made me feel better about my performance haha. by the time we finished, i felt even more exhausted. i hopped on stand up and then after, ate my lunch at 2 pm. i watched some youtube videos while eating and then took off my glasses and rested my eyes for a bit. maybe i went too hard yesterday? my entire back hurts and my legs are sore. i feel like a limp doll. i hope stretching today helps. i’m thinking of just taking a short walk on a treadmill while kevin works out (if he doesn’t go climbing today). then i got myself to do some prep work for thursday, which is a CRAZY day because i have a meeting at 9 until 11 am then 11 am straight to 1 pm again. i believe i am leading the second meeting as well. x__x;
i got myself to purchase the uniqlo mom jeans i’ve been eyeing, the umbra jewelry holder for the top of our chest, and pure food protein powder so i can stop killing my stomach with whey and sugar alcohols in the protein bars i bought last week or so. mmm. then i went back to work and hopped on a quick call with phil to start going over material for thursday’s session. after work, i just laid on the sofa and rested my eyes. i felt pretty nauseous. i got myself to stretch for 40 minutes or so while watching / listening to an episode of ‘beat shazam.’ i felt a lot better after stretching. kevin came back home from a climbing event with wings. the garlic parmesan ones he brought back tasted too much like artificial cheese :( we showered and then microwaved leftovers for dinner. i opted for rice and just my mom’s black chicken soup because i felt like poop. we watched an episode of westworld and then kevin went to game while i walked around to try to get some low level physical activity in. lol. i received our target package in the mail today and i tried on the denim jacket and the kitten heels i got. the denim jacket is cute but too big. :( so i ordered a small online and will return the other one. the kitten heels are perfect and i will use them for formal occasions now :) i walked around trying to break them in a bit.
i hopped into bed and used my yoga toe stretchers because my feet were feeling a bit sensitive after walking. then i brushed and got ready for bed. i went to sleep before 12 am and that is a great feat for me these days. woot! i was feeling a good amount better but i wasn’t sure how i will feel in the morning.
04: i could have woken up at 7:15 am but i didn’t feel like it. plus, my stomach was hurting again. i felt a lot better though. i got up at 8 am and then did cardio kickboxing. then i showered and washed my hair :D and made myself a smoothie -- that caused my stomach to hurt a bit more so maybe i should have stuck to my rice and soup combo. then kevin left for work and i hopped on the computer and started responding to emails and what not. i found out that ‘shokugeki no soma’ season 3 is out and darien suggested watching ‘restaurant to another world’ so i’m excited to start binging shows again! also, digimon adventure tri series’ last part is out and i can’t wait to watch that too. ahhh! i got on a call with phil and dave to go over the material for tomorrow and then phil had a call so that’s when i took my lunch. i watched some youtube videos while eating and then watched the newest episode of ‘shokugeki no soma.’ i think phil took a longer lunch so did some tweaking to our training stuff and went over the training in my head.
when phil got back, we hopped on a call, double checked that everything worked, and then i fixed some things, uploaded the training material, and called it a day. then i started watching ‘restaurant from another world’ until kevin came back home. we had a bit of an argument about doing something with the dishes, but it was about something bigger in the end. i watched some more episodes of the anime and then i went to the yoga studio to do another ab workout. the person spinning in the room left the lights off? so i did the workout in the dark...LOL. kevin came in and told me that an owner let their dog leave a trail of poop down our hallway... he showed me and told me he submitted a complaint / ticket. then i went back to the apartment and cooled off. i waited for kevin to come back and then we had a conversation and it kinda made our argument worse? well, i said my piece and told him that i never meant for whatever we were talking about to turn into a “whose right” kind of argument :/ he said mean things to me though. so we showered and then kevin went to eat and i went in the room to watch anime.
kevin came in later to tell me to eat because it was 9 pm. i was about to eat anyway so i went and microwaved rice with my mom’s soup. then i washed the dishes and made myself an english muffin with pb and banana. i watched more ‘restaurant to another world’ on the sofa and then kevin came and apologized for being mean LOL. we forgave each other (i guess sometimes i come off as stand offish too) and then he went back to gaming and i continued watching my anime. we goofed around before i hit the hay and i went to sleep at 12 am. zzzz. i was tired.
05: i woke up at 7:40 am and then slept in until 8 am. i brushed and then hit the yoga studio to do some arm and shoulder workouts. then i showered and hopped on my 9 am call for the day. i made breakfast while on mute because they were doing a presentation and then i started my day. my day wasn’t as stressful as i thought it would be :O dave just needed me for support on his presentation and then i hopped onto the second training session. we had another technical difficulty but then got through the session nicely. i presented for about an hour and then handed it off to phil for the rest. then we debriefed a bit and i ate lunch until it was stand up. our meeting at 1 pm got moved to next week so my day wasn’t as hectic. after stand up, phil told me to do whatever i want! it was also only around 3 pm so i watched the rest of ‘restaurant to another world’ and then i took a nap after opening my amazon package that contained my umbra jewelry tray (it’s beautiful) and my pure foods protein powder. i felt nauseous again so i napped and kevin got home pretty early!
kevin booked our christmas tickets and we ordered from hakata ramen! after watching ‘restaurant from another world’, i was craving katsu soo badly. i ordered katsu curry, karaage, and “ebi shrimp” and then went to work out. kevin gave my contact info because he might have been busy when the delivery guy got there. well, halfway during my arm workout, kevin came in and checked my phone LOL. he said the guy called me 6x times and angrily walked over to our door to deliver it. my phone didn’t have signal x_X so i didn’t get anything. oh well. we know next time! i also didn’t care as much as i should have in the moment because i was lifting and in the zone LOL. kevin left and i continued my workout. afterward, i got back to the apartment and asked kevin to elaborate. lol. then i ate more than half of the food we got LOL. the katsu and karaage were so delicious. the “ebi shrimp” was fried shumai -__-” that was not what i wanted. then i showered and kevin cooked pork chop with apples for himself for dinner ahha. after he ate, we played castle crashers with ryan and terence! it was pretty fun (((: they rq’d at around 11 pm our time and then kevin and i cleaned up and i got ready for bed and went to sleep before 12 am. i was pooped.
06: i woke up later than usual but then did my hiit workout in the morning anyway. i showered while kevin made us egg bacon breakfast sandwiches. they were delicious!! then i microwaved myself the last slice of pie and then started to get to work. i thought i was going to do some recordings but other stuff came in with higher priority. i watched 15 minutes of the new digimon tri series movie section and then worked all day. i also tried my pure foods protein powder with my panyong tea and it was delicious... except for when the powder settled when i didn’t drink my tea all at once. lol but the rest of the day, my cup had a hint of vanilla <3 when i took breaks, i got the chance to pick up my book of the month package :D i got two books for free this month! hehe. then i worked until 5:30 pm or so and started compliance training for genpact... it is pretty long... kevin got back home and waited for me to finish the first segment so that we could go game. we played castle crashers and then we started playing this new game kevin got called, ‘trine 2.′ the graphics are beautiful and the characters are cool but the steam controller isn’t 100% compatible.
we ate fried rice made with leftovers for dinner. i believe today was the day we finished watching westworld! lol it was an interesting ending and very climatic. we might watch season 2 when it comes out. i think we will actually. for the rest of the day, i think we continued to game together or i just chilled while kevin went running and then i went to sleep zzzz. what a great way to start the weekend :D
07: we were going to get our monthly massage today! i was pumped and i wanted to get the most out of it so i woke up and went straight to the yoga studio to do a full body strength workout haha. then i rushed back home, showered, and made kevin and i smoothies before driving over to the massage place. omg, this lady gave me the best neck/head massage and she really did focus on my legs too. i would say this is one of the best massages i’ve ever had. she was great. after our super great massage, we walked over to oh my tea and i got the honey oolong boba and kevin got a passionfruit smoothie with boba. we split an egg puff -- it was delicious. we drove to target from there so i could exchange / pick up my jean jacket in a small. the small fits me way better so i returned the medium. while i was picking up my jacket, kevin found these adorable polar bear salt and pepper shakers so we bought them. then we drove home and i watched the newest chunk of digimon adventure tri and finished compliance training. we didn’t really have a lunch so i baked chicken nuggets and then we meal planned and headed out to get groceries. before we left, we scheduled delivery for dinner. guess what? i ordered tonkatsuuuu <3 kevin got tempura ramen and we also ordered the real ebi shrimp LOL.
we spent a good amount of time looking for the large kikkoman soy sauce but they were sold out apparently. then we decided to get the cheaper snowy mooncakes because all of the small mei xin ones were sold out and the larger ones were still $36-48!! then we drove over to bj’s and used coupons and loaded up on toilet paper and other kitchen ingredients. we got a pretty good shock when the car wouldn’t start up. we could put the key into the ignition and turn it but the brake wouldn’t depress -- it was rock solid. kevin tried checking the front, i tried looking at the manual, and in the end, i called daniel because he knows cars and he has a gti, which is similar to my golf. he told us to try pushing the key in with more force and that did it! :D thank you SOOO much daniel!!! you da best. <3 we drove home, unloaded the car, and then kevin said after he parked, the car’s brake stiffened up again. why, bb, why?! we got all the groceries into our apartment and then i made a service appointment. i had to get an oil change anyway.
after all of that, we got our delivery on time and then we ate while watching ‘yakitate! japan.’ i got kevin to watch this anime with me because it is one of my all-time favorite food anime and i knew he’d like the type of humor. after the first two episodes, he said he liked it :D as for dinner, i got real full real quick. some kind soul left some pastries in the lobby for people to take so i got all the different ones and snacked on them too. mm. then we played castle crashers until i got tired. we gamed until late at night and then i stretched before sleeping at like 2 am or something.
08: it was a gloomy af day. i woke up and it was dark and rainy outside. i went to the yoga studio and did a hiit workout that included some 5 lb weights and it killed me LOL. i was sweating so much and sweat was dripping. then i came back and showered only to find kevin still in bed playing pokemon again haha. then i made my breakfast smoothie and i think kevin went for a run so i put on some youtube videos on the roku and started cleaning the kitchen. kevin oiled the cutting board and it left a pool of oil on the island x__x it’s a good thing he came back and helped me wipe that off so i could clean it thoroughly after. i ate leftover tonkatsu for lunch and then we put up all of our artwork, finally! we put some paintings in weird spots but we’ll deal with it. we still have a lot of white left on the walls so if we find anything we like, we’ll probably fill the space in with that. it took longer than we expected to put everything up and kevin went straight to gaming. i chilled out a bit before making apple pie. my sugar mixture / caramel kind of separated (i think i boiled it for too long on accident) so i topped the pie with some cinnamon sugar mixture to get a crunchier top. there was also no dough on top because i wanted to try and bake an “open face” pie haha. it turned out better than i expected but kevin does prefer the normal / traditional pie haha.
after baking, i did an ab workout in the yoga studio. my hips were killing me a bit so i tried to not do moves that required my hips, but i think that failed ahha. i came back and showered before running to the katsu curry kevin made for dinner. yassss, katsu for 3 days straight; i’m in heaven. we ate while watching more ‘yakitate! japan’ and then cleaned up and played some more castle crashers on our steam box. apparently, we finished the game?? the game is pretty short tbh haha. i was pretty tired by the time we finished but we snuck in a game of gang beast and it was LOL. i brushed up and went to bed at like 12:30 am or something of the sort. i didn’t want this weekend to end :(
